확률밀도함수와 KOMPSAT-3A를 활용한 산불피해강도 분류 (Forest Fire Severity Classification Using Probability Density Function and KOMPSAT-3A)

  • 본 연구는 산불 전후 KOMPSAT-3A 영상을 사용하여 산불피해지역을 분석하는 것을 목적으로 한다. KOMPSAT 시리즈 중 KOMPSAT-3A는 적외선 및 고해상도의 멀티 스펙트럼 밴드를 가진 VHR위성이다. 하지만, KOMPSAT-3A를 활용하여 산불피해강도를 분류하는 연구는 부족한 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 KOMPSAT-3A의 산불 피해강도를 분류하기 위한 새로운 알고리즘을 제시하는 것을 목표로 한다. 또한, 본 연구에서는 산불 피해지역에 대한 참조자료로 Sentinel-2로 생성한 dNBR을 사용하였다. 본 연구의 연구 지역은 2019년 4월 4일 강릉에서 발생한 산불 피해지역으로 선정하였다. 본 연구에서는 산불피해구간을 산정하기 위한 알고리즘으로 오픈 소스 통계 프로그램인 R software의 확률분포함수를 사용하였다. KOMPSAT-3A에서 산불 피해지역은 산불 전, 후 NDVI의 변화에 따라 생성되었다. 산불피해강도는 분포 함수의 표준 편차를 사용하여 각 등급 크기를 산정하였다. 총 5개 구간에 따른 산불 피해 강도가 효과적으로 분류되었다.

Fabrication of Two-Layered $Al-B_4C$ Composites by Conventional Hot Pressing Uuder Nitrogen Atmosphere and Their Characterization

  • In this study, we describe the conventional hot pressing (CHP) of layered $Al-B_4C$ composites and their characterization. The matrix alloy Al-5 wt.%Cu was prepared from elemental powder mixtures. The metal and B4C powders were mixed to produce either $Al-Cu-10vol.%B_4C$ or $Al-Cu-30vol.%B_4C$ combinations. Then, these powder mixtures were stacked as layers in the hot pressing die to form a two-layered composite. Hot pressing was carried out under nitrogen atmosphere to produce $30\times40\times5mm$ specimens. Microstructural features and age hardening characteristics of composites were determined by specimens cut longitudinally. The flexural strength of both layered composites and their monolithic counterparts were investigated via three point bending tests. In the case of layered specimens of both $10vol.%B_4C$ and $30vol.%B_4C$ containing layers were loaded for three-point test. The results show that a homogeneous distribution of $B_4C$ particles in the matrix alloy which is free of pores, can be obtained by CHP method. The ageing behavior of the composites was found to be influenced by the reinforced materials, i.e. higher hardness values were reached in 8 hrs for the composites than that for the matrix alloy. Flexural strength test showed that two-layered composites exhibited improved damage tolerance depending on layer arrangement. Microstructural investigation of the fracture surfaces of the bending specimens was performed by means of scanning electron microscope (SEM). While layer with lower reinforcement content exhibited large plastic deformation under loading, the other with higher reinforcement content exhibited less plastic deformation.

Associations of ABCB1 and XPC Genetic Polymorphisms with Susceptibility to Colorectal Cancer and Therapeutic Prognosis in a Chinese Population

  • Associations between ABCB1 and XPC genetic polymorphisms and risk of developing colorectal cancer (CRC) as well as clinical outcomes in CRCs with chemotherapy were investigated. A case-control study was performed on the ABCB1 C3435T, G2677T/A and XPC Lys939Gln polymorphisms in 428 CRC cases and 450 hospitalbased, age and sex frequency-matched controls using polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism (PCR-RFLP) assays. We observed that the ABCB1 3435CT or CC+CT variants were significantly linked with increasing risk of developing CRC (adjusted OR (95% CI): 1.814 (1.237-2.660), P=0.0022; adjusted OR (95% CI): 1.605 (1.117-2.306), P=0.0102, respectively). Moreover, the distribution frequency of XPC AC genotype or AC+CC genotypes also showed a tendency towards increasing the suscepbility for CRC (P=0.0759 and P=0.0903, respectively). Kaplan-Meier curves showed that the ABCB1 C3435T variant was associated with a tendency toward longer progression-free survival (PFS) (n=343, Log-rank test: P=0.063), and the G2677T/A variant genotypes (GT+TT+GA+AA) with a tendency for longer OS in postoperative oxaliplatin-based patients (n=343, Log-rank test: P=0.082). However, no correlation of the XPC Lys939Gln polymorphism was found with PFS and OS in patients with postoperative oxaliplatin-based chemotherapy (n=343). Our study indicated that ABCB1 polymorphisms might be candidate pharmacogenomic factors for the prediction of CRC susceptibility, but not for prognosis with oxaliplatin chemosensitivity in CRC patients.

포항지역 공장근로자의 간흡충감염 의식 조사 (A Study of Clonorchis Sinensis Infection among Factory Workers in Pohang area.)

  • Clonorchiasis should be realized as an important public health problems in Korea by their wide distribution, high prevalence rate and heavy infection intensity. This study was designed to obtain the infection rate, contributing factors as well as the behavior of infected persons among the factory workers in Pohang area where that parasite still remains as a problem. Study was undertaken from September '86 to October '87. Clonorchiasis skin test was performed for 3180 factory workers, and stools of skin test positive reactors were examined. Praziquantel was prescribed to stool examination positive persons for clonorchis sinensis ova. After one year. stool examination was repeated for them who received medicine. At the same time. a structured questionnaire was given and the results were analyzed and compared with control group. The results of this study are summarized as follows; 1. The infection rate of Clonorchis sinensis. 1) Clonorchiassis skin test positive rate was $26.2\%$ (834/3180). 2) Stool(Clonorchis sinensis ova) positive rate among skin test positive reactors was $21.6\%$ (129/598) All 129 infected persons were male. 2. Contributing factors of Clonorchis sinensis infection. 1) The chance of infection was higher in low-educated peple(p<0.01) 2) Stool(Clonorchis sinensis ova)positive rate was higher among the persons who reside near the riverside now(p<0.01), or among the persons who long history of riverside residence(p<0.01) 3) The infection rate was higher in thoes who like sliced raw fresh water fishes than in those who like cooked fishes(p<0.05). 4) Correct answering rate for questions about the cause and route of Clonorchis sinensis infection was low in infected persons. 5) The infection rate was lower among those who had experience of previous clonorchiasis test(p<0.01). 6) Family members of infected persons show higher rates of infection(p <0.01). 3. Treatment effect and compliance of infected person to treatment. 1) After one year, negative stool conversion rate was $85.4\%$. 2) $70.8\%$ of infected persons took the medicine; Only $3.1\%$ of them consulted to physician to know the medication effect; As many as $29.4\%$ of them continued to consume raw fresh water fishes. As a conclusion, City of Pohang area, Hyung San River in the center, is an endemic area of clonorchiasis. Current clonorchiasis control system seemed to be ineffective; many of the skin test positive group did not submitted their stool for examination; only $70.8\%$ of infected persons took the medicine even though the drugs were given free of charge; $29.4\%$ continued to consume raw fresh water fishes after taking medicine. Therefore. proper education program should be provided to improve the compliance to treatment. Follow-up for infected cases is mandatory to prevent waste of restricted budget.

  • Although liposome has many advantages as a pharmaceutical dosage form, its application in the industrial field has been limited because of some problems such as preparation method, reproducibility, scale-up, stability and sterilization etc. Liposomes prepared by microemulsification method had defined size, narrow size distribution, reproducibility and high entrapment efficiency. For enhancing the stability, the dry form of liposome was recommended. These types of liposome are proliposome and freeze-dried liposome. The liposome must have some properties for preparing of freeze-dried liposome; small size $(50{\sim}200\;nm)$, narrow size distribution and cryoprotectant. In this experiment, the liposomes containing 5-Fluorouracil(5-FU) and its prodrug(pentyl-5-FU-1-acetate; PFA, hexyl-5-FU-1-acetate; HFA) were made with soybean phosphatidylcholine, cholesterol, stearylamine(SA) and dicetyl phosphate(DCP) employing hydration method or microemulsification method using $Microfluidizer^{TM}$. Both or liposome types were MLV and MEL. After preparation, freeze drying and rehydration were performed. In the process of freezing, trehalose(Tr) was added as a cryoprotectant. Their evaluation methods were as follows; entrapment efficiency, mean particle size and size distribution, dissolution test, retain of entrapment efficiency and turbidity after freeze-drying. The results are summarized as belows. The entrapment efficiency of 5-FU was dependent on total lipid concentration and cholesterol content but that of PFA and HFA was decreased when cholesterol was added. When DCP and SA were added, entrapment efficiency was decreased. As the partition coefficient of drug was increased, entrapment efficiency was increased. Under the same condition, entrapment efficiency of MEL is similar to that of MLV. The mean particle size and size distribution of MEL were smaller than those of MLV. Dissolution rates of drug from both liposome types were comparatively similar. Dissolution rates of drugs with serum and liver homogenate were faster than without these material. After preparation of liposome, free drug was removed efficiency by Dowex 50W-X4. When liposome was freeze-dried and then rehydrated in the presence of Tr, characteristics of liposome were maintained well in MEL than MLV. Tr Was used successfully as a cryoprotectant in the process of freeze drying and the optimal ratio of Tr:Lipid was 4:1(g/g).

라이다(LiDAR) 측정을 이용한 나셀전달함수의 유도 (Derivation of Nacelle Transfer Function Using LiDAR Measurement)

  • 풍력터빈 블레이드의 후단, 나셀 상부에 설치되는 나셀 풍속계는 블레이드 회전에 따른 후류효과 및 나셀형상 등으로 인하여 풍력터빈에 입사되는 자연풍속과는 다른 왜곡된 풍속을 측정한다. 풍력터빈 출력성능의 신뢰성 확보를 위해서는 나셀풍속을 자연풍속으로 보정하는 나셀전달함수를 유도하여 성능곡선을 보정하여야 한다. 본 연구에서는 전라남도 비금도 북부 해안에 건설된 신안풍력발전소에서 지상기반 원격탐사 장비인 라이다(LiDAR)를 설치하여 나셀 풍속계와 동일 높이에서의 자연풍속을 측정하였다. 나셀풍속을 자연풍속으로 보정하는 기존의 단순회귀분석에 의한 선형 나셀전달함수를 개선하기 위하여 다중회귀분석에 의한 비선형 나셀전달함수를 유도하였다. 나셀전달함수로 계산한 보정풍속을 풍력터빈 출력곡선에 대입하여 산출한 이론 발전량과 실제 발전량의 잔차를 비교하여 개선효과를 검증하였다. 다중회귀분석 나셀전달함수는 단순회귀분석에 비해 풍속의 표준오차는 9.4% 감소하였으며, 발전량 잔차 분포의 평균은 6.5% 감소하여 개선효과가 있음을 확인하였다.

숏크리트용 고분말도 시멘트의 특성 (A Study on Properties of High Blaine Cement for Shotcrete)

  • 이 연구에서는 숏크리트에 적용하기 위한 고분말도 시멘트의 기본 특성을 검토하고자 하였다. 고분말 시멘트의 주요특성을 연구하기 위하여 입도분포, 응결시간, 압축강도를 측정하였으며, SEM 관찰, DSC 열분석, X선 회절분석을 실시하였다. 고분말도 시멘트는 일반 포틀랜드 시멘트와 비교하여 응결시간이 크게 단축되었으며 압축강도가 개선되었다. 기기분석 결과 고분말도 시멘트는 초기수화물이 보다 미세하고 광범위하게 분포하는 것으로 확인되었으며, 이러한 결과는 시멘트의 분말도가 상승함에 따라 시멘트 입자와 물과의 접촉면이 증가하기 때문이다. SEM 관찰, DSC 열분석, X선 회절분석 결과 알루미네이트계 급결제는 칼슘알루미늄 수화물의 생성을 촉진하고, 알칼리프리계 급결제는 에트린자이트와 모노설페이트의 생성을 증진하는 것으로 나타났다. 페이스트 응결시간 측정으로부터 알루미네이트계 급결제와 알칼리프리계 급결제가 응결시간을 단축시키는 것으로 확인되었으며, 고분말도 시멘트는 압축강도가 크게 향상 되는 것으로 나타났다. 특히 알루미네이트계 급결제는 응결시간 단축에 효과적이며, 알칼리프리계 급결제는 7일 이후의 강도증진에 효과적인 것으로 확인되었다.

측면 경계 조건이 다른 토조들의 동적거동 비교에 관한 연구 (A Comparative Study on Dynamic Behavior of Soil Containers that Have Different Side Boundary Conditions)

  • 1g 진동대 실험을 수행할 때, 양 벽면이 고정되어 있는 강성토조를 시용하기도 한다. 1g 진동대 실험에 강성토조를 사용하는 경우 양 쪽 벽면에서 파동이 반사가 되고 모형지반의 동적 전단 변형이 구속되어 위상차 및 가속도 증폭이 제대로 발생하지 않는 문제가 생긴다. 반면 토조를 얇은 층(Laminate)으로 구성하고 각 층 사이의 수평거동을 허용해 주는 특수형태의 토조(층 분할 토조, Laminar Shear Box)를 사용하면 이와 같은 문제를 상당부분 해결할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 1g 진동대 실험을 통하여 경계 조건이 서로 다른 두 종류의 토조(강성토조; Rigid Box or Rigid container, 층 분할 토조; Laminar Shear Box or Laminar container)에 동적 특성이 동일한 연약한 모형 점토 지반을 조성하여 그 거동의 차이들을 정량적으로 분석하였다. 그 결과, 강성토조는 벽면의 강성으로 인해 지반내의 위상차가 적게 발생하였으며, 가속도 증폭 양상은 자유장 거동과 많이 다른 결과를 보였다. 이와 달리 층 분할 토조는 지반의 전단변위를 구속하지 않고 실제지반에서 발생하는 지반 내 위상차 및 가속도 증폭 현상을 상대적으로 잘 재현하는 것으로 나타났다. 결론적으로, 층 분할 토조(Laminar shear box)는 강성토조(Rigid Box)와 비교할 때 자유장 지반의 동적거동을 더 정확히 재현해 주는 것을 실험결과를 통해 분석할 수 있었다.

영어 약모음 /ə/ 교수에 있어서 명시적 Form-Focused Instruction의 효과 연구 (The Effectiveness of Explicit Form-Focused Instruction in Teaching the Schwa /ə/)

  • 본 연구는 명시적 형태 중심 교수법(FFI)이 영어 약모음 /ə/을 교실 상황에서 EFL 학생에게 교수하는 데 있어 얼마나 효과적인지 조사하였다. 25명의 고등학교 여학생이 13명은 실험집단에 12명은 통제집단으로 나뉘어 참여하였다. 또한, 미국인 여성 한 명도 비교 기준점을 위한 음성자료를 제공하였다. 실험집단 참여자는 한 달 반 동안 연구자의 발음과 텍스트를 음성으로 변환해주는 인터넷 프로그램의 발음을 따라 하고, 개인별로 피드백을 받았다. 처치 전, 후 참여자들은 14개의 2음절 이상 다음절 실험단어와 그 단어가 포함된 문장을 읽었으며 읽은 문장은 음성자료로 녹음되었다. 자료 분석을 위해 대응 표본 t 검증과 비모수 Wilcoxon signed-rank 검증이 사용되었다. 연구 결과에 따르면 실험군 참여자들은 사전 실험보다 사후 실험에서 영어 약모음을 약 40% 짧게 조음하였다. 하지만 모음 조음 공간에서 혀의 위치를 나타내는 F1/F2 formant에서 실험 참여자의 F1/F2 formant 분포형태는 이 연구의 기준점인 539 Hz (F1) × 1797 Hz (F2)와 상이했다. 이 연구의 결과는 반복적인 따라 하기와 적절한 피드백을 제공하는 명시적인 형태 중심 교수법(FFI)이 영어 발음 교수에 일부 효과가 있다는 것을 보여 주었다.

강화형 치관용 복합레진의 인장강도에 관한 연구 (A STUDY ON THE TENSILE STRENGTH OF REINFORCED VENEERING COMPOSITE RESINS FOR CROWN)

  • Recently a new generation of crown and bridge veneering resins containing submicron glass fillers was introduced. These ultrasmall particle hybrid composite materials distinguish themselves, compared with conventional microfill crown and bridge resins, through improved mechanical properties. It is claimed that these composites are suitable for metal free crowns and even bridges using fiber reinforcement. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of thermal cycling on the tensile strength of the following veneering composites: Artglass(Heraeus Kulzer Co., Wehrheim, Germany), Estonia(Kuraray Co.. Japan), Sculpture(Jeneric Pentron Co., Wallingford, U.S.A.), and Targis(Ivoclar Co., Schaan Liechenstein). According to manufacturer's instructions, rectangular tensile test specimens measuring $1.5{\times}2.0{\times}4.5mm$ were made using a teflon mold. Whole specimens were divided into two groups. One group was dried in a desiccator at $25^{\circ}C$ for 10 days, and another group was subjected to thermal cycling($10,000{\times}$) in water($5/55^{\circ}C$). All test specimens were placed in a universal testing machine and loaded until fracture with a crosshead speed of 0.5mm/min. Weibull analysis and Tukey's test were used to analyze the data. The fracture surfaces of specimens were observed in SEM and the aliphatic C=C absorbance peak of Estenia and Targis resin was analyzed using Fourier transform infrared(FTIR) spectroscopy. Within the limitations imposed in this study, the following conclusions can be drawn: 1. Both in drying condition and thermal cycling condition, the highest tensile strength was observed in Estenia testing group(p<0.05). 2. The strength data were at to single-mode Weibull distribution, and the Weibull modulus of all veneering composite resin specimens increased after thermal cycling treatment. 3. After thermal cycling test, the highest tensile strength was observed in the Estenia group, and the lowest value was observed in the Targis group. The tensile strength values showed the significant differences between each group(p<0.05) 4. The aliphatic C=C absorbance peak of Estonia and Targis resin was decreased after light curing, and there was no distinct change after thermal cycling.
