While jujubes are mainly sold in dried forms as wholesome foods, sacrificial food and so on, processed foods from jujube are neither highly recognized nor in high demand. Hence, this study has proposed ways to enhance the demand for jujube processed foods and will help prepare the ground for efficient marketing strategies, based on the survey result on the pattern in which customers in Korea purchase jujube-processed foods. The conclusion for this study has been derived by researching the relevant literature and analyzing the relevant company data and customer survey results. The study implies the following points regarding enhancing the demand for jujube-processed foods. First, long-term solutions are necessary. These may include establishing a technological system that can produce various foods processed from jujubes, and improving the customer accessibility in accordance with the changes in the retail environment. To implement these solutions, it is necessary to familiarize the customers with jujube-processed foods by securing a good sales network and through active promotion and advertising. Second, systematic marketing strategies are needed, which may be applied in developing the products as well as distribution and promotion methods and prices that correspond with the changes in the customer environment and the different tastes for various age, gender and residential area groups.
Hydroacoustic surveys were conducted for spatio-temporal distribution and size estimation of fish in the Yongdam reservoir, Korea, from April to July 2014. Acoustic data were collected along acoustic transects using a 120 kHz scientific echosounder. The received acoustic data were the in situ acoustic target strength (dB) and nautical area scattering coefficient ($m^2/mile^2$). Data on fish behavioral patterns and size were collected using a DIDSON acoustic camera at stationary stations. Fish were mainly distributed in the center channel and close to the outer Yongdam reservoir. Acoustic density of fish in the summer season were higher than in the spring season. The seasonal vertical distribution pattern of fish aggregations may be strongly related to the vertical temperature structure. The size distribution of fish obtained from an acoustic camera correlated well with the acoustic size of fish from an echosounder.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the equity of health care utilization by income groups in terms of both quantity and quality of care, which is measured by expenditure, type of care, and type of health care institutions. Equity in health care utilization is measured by HIwv index, based on the survey of 1,480 Gwangju-Jeonnam residents. Health care utilization in terms of the probability and quantity of outpatient and inpatient care show equitable or pro-poor inequitable distribution, whereas the distribution of health care expenditure, which can account for the quality of care, is pro-rich inequitable, implying that the better off tend to use more expensive medical care. In terms of the types of care, simple visits for basic care show equitable distribution, whereas the distribution of the utilization of traditional tonic medicine, comprehensive health examination, CT, MRI, and ultrasound is pro-rich inequitable. Utilization of general hospitals and traditional health institutions show pro-rich inequitable distribution, hospitals and dental care institutions equitable, and physician clinics and public health centers pro-poor inequitable.
The distribution of standing wreaths has reached about 7.1 million per year and the size of the standing wreath market is estimated to be at least 700 billion won. Among them, 20 to 30 percent are estimated to be reused, resulting in damage to flowerfarms' sales of 110 to 160 billion won per year. Due to the unique characteristics of conventional 3-tier standing wreaths in terms of transportation and installation, companies that lack design expertise have monopolized local distribution markets, and the issue of illegally using standing wreaths has been raised. These issues have highlighted the need for developing new designs and establishing a distribution system to expand the consumption of flowers. This study was carried out to identify consumers' perception of reused standing wreaths and the current systems introduced to prevent the distribution of reused standing wreaths such as the real-name standing wreath production system, the authenticity certificate system, and new standing wreaths. The results of a consumer survey showed that consumers' perception of reused standing wreaths has been high and that reused standing wreaths need to be actively regulated to establish fair trade order and protect consumers' rights. Although the effectiveness of the real-name system, the authenticity certificate system, and new standing wreaths was found to be insufficient, the introduction of these systems was essential and necessary for continuous promotion through broadcasting media.
An investigation on the zonal communities in Chokchon macrotidal flat, Incheon, Korea, was carried out on July 1994, eight years after the initial survey done by Frey et al. (1987a and b). A survey transect (4 km long) was established with 41 stations having an equi-interval of 100 m. Macrofaunas were sampled in July 1994. R-mode cluster analysis and ordination analysis (detrended correspondence analysis or DCA) were performed. The aims of the investigation were to: (1) observe the distribution and abundance patterns, including zonation of benthic macrofaunal communities in the area; and (2) gain information about faunal changes between two different periods. The primary feature of distribution was corresponded with Frey's zonation, and this was shaped by three level-specific species groups. Significant changes in dominant species were detected when compared with the faunal assemblages of 1986. The bivalve mollusk, Meretrix petechialis, seemed to have disappeared. Two newly arrived organic pollution indicator species, Theora fragilis and Capitella capitata, were regarded as impregnable proof of response to eutrophication, although the concrete evidence on the eutrophication source was not found.
In this paper, mechanical characteristics of micro-defects in granitic rock was studied. Crack spacing and length were investigated by scanline survey in specimen of granite. To estimate the direction and distribution of potential microcrack in granite, thin sections were made for three direction of Rift, Grain and Hardway axis of the rock specimen. The density and length of microcrack were investigated quantitatively. Three directions of microcracks are comparatively perpendicular. Crack density varies as direction differs, but crack length doesn't show influence of direction.

A time-lapse microgravity survey on a newly widen road at Muan, where limestone cavities are developed, for monitoring the change of the subsurface density distribution before and after grouting. Microgravity monitoring is identified as a quick, easy and cost effective. But, it requires strict data acquisition and quality control due to the differences of conditions at measurements. The survey was carried out two times, that is, October 2005 and September 2006. The data were adjusted for reducing the effects due to the different condition of each survey. The processed data acquired in 2005 and 2006 were inverted into the subsurface density distributions. They show the change and development of density structure during the lapsed time, which implies the effects of grouting.
In order to verify the statistical performance of the nonparametric tests used in the MARSSIM approach, all plausible contamination distribution types that can be encountered in a survey area should be investigated. As the first of such investigations, this study aims to perform the verification for normal distribution of the contamination in a survey area by simulating the collection of random samples from it through the Monte Carlo simulation. The results of the simulations conducted for a total of 81 simulation cases showed that Sign test and WRS test both exhibited an excellent statistical performance: 100% for the former and 98.8% for the latter. Therefore, in final status surveys of the MARSSIM approach, a high statistical performance can be expected in applying the nonparametric hypothesis tests to survey areas whose net contamination can be assumed to be normally distributed.

The provided habitat of many services from natural capital is important. But because most ecosystem services tools qualitatively evaluated biodiversity or habitat quality, this study quantitatively analyzed those aspects using the species distribution model (MaxEnt). This study used location point data of the goat(Naemorhedus caudatus), marten(Martes flavigula), leopard cat(Prionailurus bengalensis), flying squirrel(Pteromys volans aluco) and otter(Lutra lutra) from the 3rd National Ecosystem Survey. Input data utilized DEM, landcover classification maps, Forest-types map and digital topographic maps. This study generated the MaxEnt model, randomly setting 70% of the presences as training data, with the remaining 30% used as test data, and ran five cross-validated replicates for each model. The threshold indicating maximum training sensitivity plus specificity was considered as a more robust approach, so this study used it to conduct the distribution into presence(1)-absence(0) predictions and totalled up a value of 5 times for uncertainty reduction. The test data's ROC curve of endangered mammals was as follows: growing down goat(0.896), otter(0.857), flying squirrel(0.738), marten(0.725), and leopard cat(0.629). This study was divided into two groups based on habitat: the first group consisted of the goat, marten, leopard cat and flying squirrel in the forest; and the second group consisted of the otter in the river. More than 60 percent of endangered mammals' distribution probability were 56.9% in the forest and 12.7% in the river. A future study is needed to conduct other species' distribution modeling exclusive of mammals and to develop a collection method of field survey data.

The objective of this study is to analyze habitat distribution on tiger, wolf, and leopard in Joseonwangjosilok. Nowaday, we only come to meet these kind of animals at the historical records because of haman-induced habitat encroachment. Historically, extinct animal became an object of game by people. So, we try to get distribution information for restoration on historical extinct animals. We made distribution map by constructing 402 counts on tiger(350), leopard(51) and wolf(1) recordsfrom 14th to Early 20th century for study. Analyzing historical materials, criteria for data analysis took into account objectivity, location information, accuracy for extinct animals. We carried out location identification of animals by using geocoding comparing with geographical name of the Joseon Dynasty period, topographic map of time under the rule of Japanese imperialism, present place name and historical materials. Database items are constructed 20 types for example appearance year of animal, population, location, damage, etc. As a result of analysis for appearance regions, tigers were recorded in capital area of higher density population intensively, and also were frequently seen at Daegu, Andong etc. Leopard and wolf were founded at regionally Gyeonggi-do and Jinju with limitation, relatively seen a few number. The reason of the appearance records like this, tiger prefer game of open and water-front area in near human residential area, there are lots of historical records such as 'Hosang'(mourning someone who killed by Tiger) and hunting. But leopard and wolf inhabit rocky area and dense forest, the reason why they made a few contact with human. Results of this are expect to be applicable restoration research for extinct animal by providing for populations, habitat environments and distribution information.
