하천의 프랙탈 특성을 고려한 지형학적 순간단위도 개발(I) (Development of a GIUH Model Based on River Fractal Characteristics)

  • 프랙탈 기하학은 불규칙적이고 복잡한 자연 현상을 수학적으로 나타낼 수 있는 방법을 제시해 줄 수 있으며, 자기상사성을 가지고 있는 하천의 형상을 비롯한 하도망의 구성은 프랙탈 차원을 가지고 있는 프랙탈 현상이라 할 수 있다. GIUH란 유역의 수문학적 응답인 IUH에 하천의 지형학적인 특성을 적용한 강우-유출 모형으로, Horton의 차수비를 이용하여 지형학적인 특성을 반영할 수 있으며 하천 유역에서 프랙탈 차원은 길이비, 면적비, 분기비 등 Horton의 차수비를 이용하여 산정할수 있다. 프랙탈 GIUH 모형을 제시하였다. 프랙탈 GIUH 모형은 Rosso(1984)가 제시한 GIUH-Nash 모형의 형상계수와 규모계수 등의 매개변수 산정시 유역의 자기상사성을 대변할 수 있는 프랙탈 차원을 직접 적용하였으며, 하천의 길이비와 분기비 만의 함수로 나타내었다.

풍향패턴에 따른 굼벨 모델 시뮬레이션에 의한 풍향풍속성의 적용율 평가에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Application ratio of Directional wind speeds Characteristics by Gumbel Model Simulation Using Directional wind Patterns)

  • 본 연구는 바람에 민감한 영향을 받는 건축물 또는 구조물에 있어서 풍향풍속을 고려하여 평가하는 방법을 제안하며 지역별 년 최대풍속에 따른 풍향풍속 특성에 대한 기초적인 결과를 정리한 것이다. 본 풍향풍속성 평가방법에서는 년최대풍속의 기상청 데이터를 기초로 하여 극치분포를 통해 적합성을 확인하였으며 풍향성을 고려하기 위하여 풍향풍속별 풍향패턴을 4그룹으로 구분하여 풍향풍속성 평가방법을 시도하여 제안하였다. 연구결과는 서울, 통영, 인천지역의 년최대풍속 기상데이터를 사용하여 전풍향풍속이 Gumbel분포에 의한 적합성을 확인하였으며, 이 전풍향풍속의 Gumbel model은 패턴별 4그룹 풍향풍속 Gumbel mode을 지배하는 독립된 확률특성을 가지므로 풍향패턴 4그룹 풍향풍속성의 평가를 통하여 적용율을 제안하였다. 연구결과는 년최대풍속에 의한 Gumbel분포의 적합성에 따른 서울, 통영, 인천 지역의 풍향패턴 4그룹 풍향풍속성을 고려한 새로운 적용율을 제안하였다.

Characterization of the Effect of the Inlet Operating Conditions on the Performance of Lean Premixed Gas Turbine Combustors

  • An experimental study of the effect of operating conditions on the behavior of a lean premixed laboratory combustor operating on natural gas has been conducted. Measurements were made characterizing the pressure fluctuations in the combustor and the flame structure over a range of inlet temperatures, inlet velocities and equivalence ratios. In addition the fuel distribution at the inlet to the combustor was varied such that it was an independent parameter in the experiment. Inlet temperature, inlet velocity and equivalence ratio were all found to have an effect on the stability characteristics of the combustor. The nature of this effect, however, depended on the fuel distribution. For example, with one fuel distribution the combustor would become unstable when the temperature was increased, whereas with a different fuel distribution the combustor would become unstable when the temperature was decreased. Similarly, the operating conditions had an effect on the flame structure. For example the intensity-weighted center of mass of the flame was found to move closer to the center body as either the temperature or equivalence ratio increased. It was interesting and somewhat surprising to note, however, that as the location of the center of mass changed with operating conditions it did so by moving along a line of constant flame angle.

  • In this paper, we propose an robust CAMShift method to track stage objects with a camera. In order to solve the problem of tracking object misdetection in existing CAMShift technique, MBR region is detected to separate the background and the subject, and the subject size of the region of interest is calculated to solve the problem of erroneously detecting a large region having a similar color distribution ratio. Also, by applying the color corelogram and MB-LBP to the part that can not be solved by the color ratio and the size limitation, accurate texture tracking is enabled by reflecting the texture characteristics. Experimental results show that the proposed method has good tracking performance for objects that do not deviate from the size of the subject set in the area of interest and accurately extracts the texture characteristics of different subjects with similar color distribution ratios.

석회혼합토의 강도특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Strength Characteristics of Lime-Soil Mixtures.)

  • This study was conducted to obtain the most effective distribution of grain size and the optimum lime content for lime-soil stabilization. To achieve the aim, the change of consistency, the characteristics of compaction and unconfined compressive strength were tested by adding of 0, 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12 percent lime by weight for all soils adjusted by given ratios of sand to clay. The results obtained were as follows; 1. There was a tendency that the plasticity index of lime-soil mixture was decreased by increasing the amount of lime, whereas the liquid limit was varied irregularly and the plastic limit was increased. 2. With the addition of more lime, the optimum moisture content of lime-soil mixture was increased, and the maximum dry density was decreased. 3. The optimum lime content of lime-soil mixture was varied from soil to soil, and the less amount of small grain size, the less value of optimum lime content. 4. The optimum distribution of grain size for lime-soil mixture was in the soil, having the ratio of about 60 percent of cohesive clay and about 40 percent of sand by weight. 5. In the soil having fine grain size, the effect of curing appeared for long periods of time, whereas the increasing rate of unconfined compressive strength was great on the soil of coarse grain size in the earlier stage of curing period.

Buckling and vibration analysis of stiffened plate subjected to in-plane concentrated load

  • The buckling and vibration characteristics of stiffened plates subjected to in-plane concentrated edge loading are studied using finite element method. The problem involves the effects of non-uniform stress distribution over the plate. Buckling loads and vibration frequencies are determined for different plate aspect ratios, boundary edge conditions and load positions. The non-uniform stresses may also be caused due to the supports on the edges. The analysis presented determines the initial stresses all over the region considering the pre-buckling stress state for different kinds of loading and edge conditions. In the structural modeling, the plate and the stiffeners are treated as separate elements where the compatibility between these two types of elements is maintained. The vibration characteristics are discussed and the results are compared with those available in the literature and some interesting new results are obtained.

MODIS 위성영상을 이용한 식물계절의 변화와 공간적 분포 특징에 관한 연구 (A Study on Changes of Phenology and Characteristics of Spatial Distribution Using MODIS Images)

  • Global warming also has effects on the phenology. The limitation of phenology study is an acquisition of phenology data. Satellite images analysis can make up limitation of monitering data. This study is to analyze spatial distribution and characteristics of phenology changes using MODIS images. Research data collected images of 16 day intervals of 11 years from year 2001 to 2010. The data analyzed 228 images of 11 years. It can figure out changes of phenology by analyzing enhanced vegetation index of MODIS image. We made a comparison between changes of phenology and flowering of cherry blossoms. As a results, Startup of season spatially was getting late from southern area to north area. Startup of Phenology was foreshortened 13 days during 11 years, and change ratios of cherry blooming was getting more faster from 0.18 dat to 0.22 day per year during that same period.

수중작업 로봇의 동특성 및 제어에 관한 연구 (Dynamic characteristics and control of submerged working robot manipulator)

  • Dynamic chanracterisitcs and control of a submerged working robot manipulator have been investigated for articulated type robot manipulator with three revoluted joints. A dynamic equation of the manipulator has been derived. The dynamic equation includes not only mass matrix, centrifugal and Coriolis terms and gravity terms but also added mass, buoyant force and drag force terms, which are important terms for underwater motion description. A series of simulations using computed torque method have been performed for the cases of straight and circular trajectory motion controls. The results of this study show that the dynamic characteristics of the submerged working robot manipulator are very different from that of the manipulator which works in air. The influences of added mass, buoyant force and drag force terms to the total required torques have been discussed as distribution ratios to the total required torques.

  • We studied the dependence of the performance of schottky barrier metal-oxide-field effect transistors(SB MOSFETs) on the work function of source/drain metals. A strong impact of the various work functions and the light wavelengths on the transistor characteristics is found and explained using experimental data. We used an insulator of a high thickness (100nm) and back gate issues in SOI substrate, subthreshold swing was measured to 300~400[mV/dec] comparing with a ideal subthreshold swing of 60[mV/dec]. Excellent characteristics of Al/Si was demonstrated higher on/off current ratios of ${\sim}10^7$ than others. In addition, extensive photoresponse analysis has been performed using halogen and deuterium light sources(200<$\lambda$<2000nm).

  • The characteristics of heat transfer on the fire clay with microwave heating are numerically investigated using finite element method. The modelled regular hexahedron chamber($50cm{\times}50cm{\times}50cm$) filled with air consists of vertical heat source and sink walls, a fire clay model, and adiabatic plates at the top and bottom walls. With different geometrical aspect ratios of the fire clay model, the heat energy distribution is throughly investigated. The optimal shape of the fire clay for given chamber geometry and microwave power is analyzed.
