  • Objectives. The Study of Small Area Variation(SAV) is most interesting issue in the health care researches. Most studies of SAV have been concluded the existences of variation on the basis of the magnitude of variation without statistical testing. But it is difficult to explain the existence of variation with this way because variation indicies are easily influenced by several parameters and also their distribution are skewed. So, it needs for the study to investigate the distribution of these indices and develop the statistical testing model. Methods. This study was planned to analyze on the distribution of variation indices such as Extremal Quotient(EQ), Coefficient of Variation(CV), Systematic Component of Variation(SCV) and compare the statistical power among indicies. The simulations was performed on the basis of several assumptions and compared to the empirical data. Results. Main findings can be summarized as follows. 1. If other conditions are constant, the more number of regions, the larger 95 percentile of EQ. But under same situation, 95 percentile of CV and SCV were slightly decreased. 2. If the size of regional population or utilization rate were increased, 95 percentile of all statistics were decreased. Also in the cases of small population size and low utilization rate, 95 percentiles of EQ showed various change contrast to the little change of CV. 3. If the difference at the size of regional population were increased, 95 percentiles of EQ and SCV were increased contrast to the little different of CV. 4. If the utilization rate were increased, 95 percentiles of all indicies were increased. But under the same difference of utilization rate, the power of CV and SCV were increased comparing to no change of the power of EQ. 5. Usually the power of EQ were lower than that of CV or SCV and it is similar between CV and SCV. Conclusions. Therefore, we suggest that in selecting the variation indicies at the SAV, CV or SCV are superior than EQ in terms of significance level and power.

  • MPLS enables efficient explicit routing, and thus provides great advantages in supporting traffic engineering. Exploiting this capability, we Propose a load balancing scheme which deploys a multipath routing. It is named LBM (Load Balancing in MPLS networks), and targets at efficient network utilization as well as performance enhancement. LBM establishes multiple LSP (Label Switched Path)s between a pair of ingress-egress routers, and distributes traffic over these LSPs at the new level. Its routing decision is based on both the length and the utilization of the paths. In order to enhance the efficiency of a link usage, a link is limited to be used by shorter paths as its utilization becomes higher Longer paths are considered to be candidate alternative paths as the utilization of shorter paths becomes higher. Simulation experiments are performed in order to compare the performance of LBM to that of static shortest path only scheme as well as the other representative dynamic multipath traffic distribution approaches. The simulation results show that LBM outperforms the compared approaches, and the performance gain is more significant when the traffic distribution among the ingress-egress pairs is non-uniform.

  • Boeun-gun is hard to develop, because of large numbers of mountains and vast distribution of limited development districts. However it is easy to access from the entire country, and there are large conservation area such as national park and dams. Short-term plans such as attraction of tourists can be established using these advantages. Long-term plans can be planed with stable establishment of continuous considerations and supports. These supports will be rewarded while it demands some time and costs. Private owned mountains can be converted from negligence upkeep of property to utilization of mountains with basic consideration of mountain conservation. This may contribute the essential function of mountain.

  • Scheduling plays a dynamic role in cloud computing in generating as well as in efficient distribution of the resources of each task. The principle goal of scheduling is to limit resource starvation and to guarantee fairness among the parties using the resources. The demand for resources fluctuates dynamically hence the prearranging of resources is a challenging task. Many task-scheduling approaches have been used in the cloud-computing environment. Security in cloud computing environment is one of the core issue in distributed computing. We have designed a deep learning-based security model for scheduling tasks in cloud computing and it has been implemented using CloudSim 3.0 simulator written in Java and verification of the results from different perspectives, such as response time with and without security factors, makespan, cost, CPU utilization, I/O utilization, Memory utilization, and execution time is compared with Round Robin (RR) and Waited Round Robin (WRR) algorithms.
