Embracing the important roles of presence, this study focused on exploring how to enhance online learners' learning engagement and learning achievement in distance higher education settings. More specifically, this study examined the structural relationships among university students' teaching presence, social presence, learning engagement, and perceived learning achievement in online learning environments using structural equation modeling. Data were collected from 206 university students enrolled in online courses in the second semester of 2020 at two large universities. According to the results of the data analysis, there was a significant relationship between teaching and social presence. Teaching presence and social presence predicted learning engagement that positively affected perceived learning achievement. Teaching presence was strongly associated with perceived learning achievement while social presence had a negative impact on that. Additionally, learning engagement had a mediating effect on the relationship between teaching presence and perceived learning achievement. This study found that students who perceived higher levels of teaching and social presences tend to more engage in learning, leading to perceiving better learning achievement. The findings suggest that the design, development, and implementation of effective online instruction should be needed to promote learning engagement, which can be linked to enhancing students' learning achievement. Implications and discussion are addressed in this article.

The article discusses the features of the use of distance technologies to intensify the learning process of students. The advantages and disadvantages of distance learning are shown. The role and functions of the teacher in distance learning have been adjusted. Information and methodological support for distance learning of students is proposed. Analyzed pedagogical, psychological, methodological and philosophical literature, educational standards, charters of higher educational institutions and other documents. Studied foreign experience in conducting classes using information technology.

정보통신기술을 학교 교육에 도입함으로써 전통적인 교육방법과 교육내용 등에 획기적인 변화가 일어나고 있다. 이러한 변화에 따라 제7차 교육과정에서는 모든 교과 수업의 10% 이상을 ICT를 활용하여 수업하도록 유도하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 제7차 교육과정의 체육교과 수업에서 ICT를 효율적으로 활용하기 위한 방법을 찾고자 체육교과에 적합한 코스웨어 설계 기본 방향을 설정하였다. 그리고 중학교 육상 단거리 달리기, 전력 달리기 동작 등을 대상으로 웹, 플래시와 데이터베이스 등을 이용하여 원격학습 프로그램을 개발하고 중학생 4개 학급의 140명 학생들을 대상으로 수업한 후에 효율성을 평가하였다. 설문과 시험을 통한 평가 결과에 따르면 학생들은 ICT 활용교육은 수업내용의 이해에 효과적이고, 수업 집중이 질되고, 학생들이 능동적으로 수업에 참여하는 것으로 나타났다.

본 연구의 목적은 원격평생교육에서 학습자의 목표지향성, 교수실재감, 학습접근방식, 만족도 및 학업성취도 간의 구조적 관계를 규명하는 것이다. 이를 위해 A, B, C 대학교 부설 원격평생교육원 학습자 235명을 대상으로 온라인 설문조사를 실시하였다. 구조방정식 모델링 분석을 통한 연구 결과, 첫째, 숙달접근목표지향성과 교수실재감은 심층학습접근에 정적 영향을 미쳤으며, 둘째, 숙달접근목표지향성은 피상학습접근에 부적 영향을, 교수실재감에는 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 확인되었다. 셋째, 심층학습접근은 만족도에 정적영향을 미쳤으며, 넷째, 피상학습접근은 만족도에 부적영향을 미쳤다. 다섯째, 심층학습접근은 학업성취도에 정적영향을 미쳤으며, 여섯째, 피상학습접근은 학업성취도에 부적영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었다. 위와 같은 연구결과는 학습자의 숙달접근목표지향성과 교수실재감이 학습자들로 하여금 심층학습접근방식을 선택하게 하여 궁극적으로는 학업성취도와 만족도를 높여줌을 시사하였다.

Distance teaming systems have become popular tools for teaching and learning. The purpose of this study is to analyze influence of instructor factors and media richness on student's intention th use and performance in distance teaming. We used TAM as a theoretical foundation to explain student's behavior. The model was tested using LISREL analysis on the sample of 246 users rho have experience with the distance teaming systems. The results show that instructor factors such as luぉ style and attitude have partial effects on perceived usefulness, ease of use and media richness. In addition, results also show that both TAM variables and media richness strongly predict intention In use of the distance loaming system Finally, the usage intention has a positive effect on teaming performance. Implications of these findings are discussed for researchers and practitioners.

최근, 지속적인 지식, 정보의 증가로 교사들의 연수의 필요성이 요구되고 있으나 현재 실시되고 있는 연수는 몇몇 문제점들을 내포하고 있다 이들 문제점들을 줄이기 위해 원격교사연수가 실시되고 있으나 시공간 극복 등의 장점에도 불구하고 상호작용, 평가, 강사, 연수 매체 등의 문제점이 나타나고 있다. 이에, 본 논문에서는 현재 제시되고 있는 원격교사 연수의 개선방안과 여러 학자들이 주장하고 있는 원격교사연수 모형 및 교수-학습 방법 등을 조사하고, 각 모형에서 제시되고 있는 요소와 원칙들을 종합하여 차후 개발될 원격교사연수모형에서 고려되어야 할 요소들을 제시하였다. 이 요소들의 제시로 인하여 원격교사연수모형을 개발하는데 있어 좋은 기준이 될 수 있다.

Many believe that electronic distance teaming education transform higher education, saving money and improving learning qualify So, the open University, which teaches around 280,000 students at a distance, is examining the adaption of its distance teaching methods for the internet. But, there are only one type of distance learning education of one way direction. To understand all of a student which selected some of e teaming course, teacher must check that how many student to understand and what is the difficult problems. Without checking this condition, It will be a very difficult and boring distance learning course. In this paper, we introduce of intelligent learning contents of full duplex direction that teach understanding student and not understanding student. The computer simulation results confirms that full duplex e learning system has been proven to be much more efficient than one way direction which not considering about understanding problems.

The main purpose of the study is to identify the key aspects of the use of innovative distance learning technologies in the training of biology students. Currently, there is a modernization, the evolution of the education system from a classical university to a virtual one, from lecture material teaching to computer educational programs, from a book library to a computer one, from multi-volume paper encyclopedias to modern search databases. During studies in higher education, distance learning ensures the delivery of information in an interactive mode through the use of information and communication technologies. The main disadvantage of distance learning is the emotional interaction of the teacher with students. It is necessary to increase the level of methodological developments for independent studies of students. The methodology includes a number of theoretical methods. Based on the results of the study, the main elements of the use of innovative distance learning technologies in the training of biology students were identified.

One of the benefits of the internet-assisted instruction is that it can improve L2 Learners' motivation to express themselves in English. The purpose of this paper is to investigate an effective approach to British-American fiction learning in Korean universities, which can emphasize communicative strategies drawing on video-conferencing system, a chat system(CUSeeMe), and an e-mail system. Students are passive participants who cannot assert their creativity in the traditional teaching method of British-American fiction, which mainly relies upon reading and translation far from literature lessons. In CCDL(Cross-cultural distance learning) class, students can play active roles in asserting their own ideas and assuming considerable responsibility for making a presentation in English. A professor can play a role as a coordinator in supporting the students' activities and in winding up the class. The main significance of this article lies in providing a paradigm for CCDL class beyond the limitation of the traditional teaching method of British-American fiction in Korea and futhermore in exploring the eclectic integration of the traditional one and CCDL.

Even though the distance education via web has a great advantage to overcome time and space, its problem is that the management of trainees is not efficient compared with classroom and group education. This problem is a great obstacle to the objects and achievement standards of distance education, giving controversial arguments to the advocators of distance education. Distance educators need to monitor the trainees'participation and responses continuously and offer appropriate feedback to the trainees. However, the existing distance education system only focuses on teaching and learning activities, and as a result, the efficient management function of distance education is not available. Accordingly, the study attempts to find out the appropriate managing elements of distance teacher training in order to effectively achieve the goals of teacher training and the efficient management of distance education. Also, it proposes distance teacher training management system that offers appropriate feedback to trainees, applying the derived elements of distance teacher training to the training processes. To verify the efficiency of the system, hypotheses on related items of distance teacher education and learning types are suggested, and the achievement degree of learning and its relations are investigated through questionnaire of learning types. In addition, a system using UML which is the standard of object-oriented modeling language is devised, so. that mutual management, language independence and convenient development environment as well as reusability can be offered, and so the design standardization and efficient system realization could be achieved, while flexible change of system according to education process and computing environment is possible.
