  • We propose one- and two-dimensional reference functions for processing of integral/multiview imaging. The functions provide the synthesis/analysis of the integral image by distance, as an alternative to the composition/decomposition by view images (directions). The synthesized image was observed experimentally. In analysis confirmed by simulation in a qualitative sense, the distance was obtained by convolution of the integral image with the reference functions.

  • In this paper, we introduce the new concept of 𝜓s-rational type contractive mapping in the sense of 𝑏-metric spaces. Also, we obtain some fixed point results for these contractive mappings in complete b-metric spaces. Our main results generalize, extend and improve the corresponding results on the topics given in the literature. Finally, we also give some examples to illustrate our main results.

  • Human uses sight, tactile sense to evaluate Total Hand Value(FUUAI) of textile fabrics. Tactile sense is important factor which decided the Total Hand Value of a textile fabric. When human feels the FUUAI, physical and physiological phenomena are occurred in finger. We first found out physical variable that is happened in fingertip when human is feeling the FUUAI. Such physical variable means characteristic of action tactual motion of finger such as moving range, tactile time, moved distance, speed of finger and applied force by finger. We study the relationship between action tactual motion and the ability in which the human distinguishes the textile fabric. As a result, we could know the characteristics of the tactual motion of fingertip to get high distinguishable ability. The characteristics were different in men and women respectively. In the case of man, touched time and moving range influenced to distinguish, and moving range, and the moving speed of finger influenced, in woman's case.

This paper clarifies the technique of the anchor dredging known as a common sense for. the seafarers A mathematical model at low speed range is established for the estimation of ship motion under the assumed environment, simulate the advance speed , and turning ability under the anchor dredging or not. The results shows good agreement with the conventional seamanship and their experiences as follows. Ahead speed used the anchor dredging is slower(speed reduction ratio:40%) than the normal ahead speed and the stopping distance is shorter (distance reduction ratio:40%)than the normal ahead distance without the anchor dredging.. Turning speed used anchor dredging is slower(speed reduction ratio:72%)than the normal ahead speed and the tactical diameter is shorter(distance reduction ratio:24%)than the diameter by the normal turning without the anchor dredging.

  • Medial axis transform (MAT) is very sensitive to noise, in the sense that, even if a shape is perturbed only slightly, the Hausdorff distance between the MATs of the original shape and the perturbed one may be large. Recently, Choi et al.(2002) showed that MAT is stable for a class of 2D domains called weakly injective, if we view this phenomenon with the one-sided Hausdorff distance, rather than with the two-sided Hausdorff distance. In this paper, we extend this result to general 2D domains with natural boundary regularity. We also present explicit bounds for this general one-sided stability of the 2D MAT.

  • This paper presents the method of estimating integral coefficients of new distance relaying algorithm for transmission line protection. The proposed method is based on the differential equation calculates impedance value by approximation of integral term of integro-differential equation which relate voltage with current. As a result, we can determine the integral coefficients in least square error sense in frequency domain and we take into consideration the analog filter characteristics and frequency domain characteristics of the system to be protected. The simulation results showed that these coefficients can be successfully used to obtain impedance value in distance relay.

  • In this paper efficient algorithms for content-based video retrieval using motion information are proposed, including temporal scale-invariant retrieval and temporal scale-absolute retrieval. In temporal scale-invariant video retrieval, the distance transformation is performed on each trail image in database. Then, from a given que교 trail the pixel values along the query trail are added in each distance image to compute the average distance between the trails of query image and database image, since the intensity of each pixel in distance image represents the distance from that pixel to the nearest edge pixel. For temporal scale-absolute retrieval, a new coding scheme referred to as Motion Retrieval Code is proposed. This code is designed to represent object motions in the human visual sense so that the retrieval performance can be improved. The proposed coding scheme can also achieve a fast matching, since the similarity between two motion vectors can be computed by simple bit operations. The efficiencies of the proposed methods are shown by experimental results.

  • This study is about the VR controller that can provide an enhanced experience in VR by augmenting the sense of weight. In this study, the method of changing the center of gravity of the controller was used as a means of transmitting the sense of weight. The experiment was carried out with a device that could change the center of gravity to find the minimum distance at which people can perceive the difference in weight. The results showed that the weight difference between the two stimuli can be perceived at a distance of about 5 cm regardless of the position of the starting stimulus.

  • The purpose of this study is to identify the degree of social presence perceived by students and to explore the factors that have affected it after practicing Christian Education classes as synchronous distance course due to Covid-19. It is also to suggest effective ways in the aspects of the design and operation to improve social presence. In order to measure social presence and derive influencing factors, research related to synchronous distance class and social presence is summarized through literature review. The researchers also surveyed 58 students in three courses of Christian education major at a University in Gyeonggi-do and conducted in-depth interviews with 6 students. The main findings are as follows: First, the sense of social presence was moderate, the emotional bond was the lowest by sub-factor, the open communication, the sense of community was moderate, and the mutual support and concentration were the highest. Second, factors that had a positive impact on the sense of social reality were group activities, selfintroduction activities, active participation in classes, mutual communication such as Q & A or response to peer learners' opinions during lectures by professors, questions, feedback, etc, and having a smaller number of students. Factors that had a negative impact on the perception of social presence were lack of private conversations, poor participation in classes, lack of communication with each other, and difficulty concentrating. The causes of these negative factors were technical problems and limitations arising from zoom, inconvenience and distracting surroundings, lack of time, and psychological awkwardness. Reflecting the results of the study, orientation to effective synchronous distance course, guidance on smooth communication methods, strengthening the role of professors to promote learning, strengthening group activities and learner-centered activities, and proposing a smaller scale of students were ways that are offered to improve the sense of social presence in synchronous distance courses.
