PURPOSE. The objective was to evaluate canine positions, intercanine tip width (ICTW) and width of distal surface of canine (WDC), related to facial landmarks including interalar width (IAW), intercommissural width (ICoW), and distance between left and right projection lines drawn from inner canthus of eyes to alae of the nose (DPICa) in a group of Thai. MATERIALS AND METHODS. One hundred Thai subjects aged 18-35 years were selected. IAW and ICoW were measured on subject's face using digital vernier caliper. Irreversible hydrocolloid impression of the upper arch was taken, and a cast was poured with dental stone. Silicone impression material was used to take imprint of the incisal edge of upper six anterior teeth. DPICa was obtained from the subject's face using custom-made measuring equipment and marked on the silicone incisal imprint. The marks were then transferred from the imprint to the stone cast and measured with digital caliper. The ICTW and WDC were also measured on the stone cast. Pearson's correlation was used to determine the correlation. RESULTS. The results revealed that the correlation between ICTW-ICoW was 0.429 and ICTW-DPICa was 0.573. The correlation between WDC-ICoW was 0.426 and WDC-DPICa was 0.547. However, IAW did not show any correlation with ICTW or WDC (P>.05). CONCLUSION. The correlation between canine position and facial landmarks was found. ICTW and WDC had relationship with ICoW and DPICa. DPICa showed stronger correlation with the position of maxillary canine than that of ICoW.
Objective: The purpose of this study was to develop a stretchable joint motion sensor that is based on silver nano-particle. Through this sensor, it can be utilized as an equipment for rehabilitation and analyze joint movement. Method: In this study, precursor solution was created, after that, nozel printer (Musashi, Image master 350PC) was used to print on a circuit board. Sourcemeter (Keithley, Keithley-2450) was used in order to evaluate changes of electric resistance as the sensor stretches. In addition, the sensor was attached on center of a knee joint to 2 male adults, and performed knee flexion-extension in order to evaluate accurate analysis; 3 infrared cameras (100 Hz, Motion Master 100, Visol Inc., Korea) were also used to analyze three dimensional movement. Descriptive statistics were suggested for comparing each accuracy of measurement variables of joint motions with the sensor and 3D motions. Results: The change of electric resistance of the sensor indicated multiple of 30 times from initial value in 50% of elongation and the value of electric resistance were distinctively classified by following 10%, 20%, 30%, 40% of elongation respectively. Through using the sensor and 3D camera to analyze movement variable, it showed a resistance of 99% in a knee joint extension, whereas, it indicated about 80% in flexion phase. Conclusion: In this research, the stretchable joint motion sensor was created based on silver nanoparticle that has high conductivity. If the sensor stretches, the distance between nanoparticles recede which lead gradual disconnection of an electric circuit and to have increment of electric resistance. Through evaluating angle of knee joints with observation of sensor's electric resistance, it showed similar a result and propensity from 3D motion analysis. However, unstable electric resistance of the stretchable sensor was observed when it stretches to maximum length, or went through numerous joint movements. Therefore, the sensor need complement that requires stability when it comes to measuring motions in any condition.
To compare the stationary dental X-ray generator and the portable dental X-ray generator and to understand spatial radiation dose depended on locations by measuring spatial radiation dose of the portable dental X-ray generator. The researchers used an Ionization chamber to measure spatial radiation dose which was generated while applying X-ray radiation to real bone skull phantom with both portable and stationary dental X-ray generator. There were 4 measurement locations which were immediate anterior, right, left and posterior. Distance of measurement was 50 cm in every location and the recorded result is an average of two applications of X-ray radiation to the maxillary molar area under the condition of 70 kVp, 3 mA, 0.1 sec. Average spatial radiation dose of portable X-ray generator was $37.51{\mu}Sv$, much higher than that of stationary X-ray generator which was $10.77{\mu}Sv$ (p<0.001). The result of the spatial radiation dose of the portable X-ray generator showed a huge difference depending on types of units which varied from $17.77{\mu}Sv$ to $68.90{\mu}Sv$ (p<0.05), also depending on the measurement location, immediate anterior resulted in the highest radiation dose of $54.14{\mu}Sv$ and immediate right was the lowest of $13.60{\mu}Sv$. Immediate left and posterior, however, resulted in similar radiation dose which were $42.12{\mu}Sv$, $40.18{\mu}Sv$ (p<0.01). With this result, we claim that usage of portable dental X-ray generator should be restricted to patients who can't move and exposure to radiation should be minimized by wearing lead-apron.
When deformation occurs on slope reinforced with anchor, shear stress and bending stress are applied on the shear surface along the slip surface and increase of the shear deformation causes the tension force variation of the anchor. In this study, shear test was performed by measuring the tension force of the anchor by inducing shear deformation in vertical direction of the anchor using a large-scale direct shear test equipment in order to confirm the tension force variation of the anchor induced by shear deformation. The shear test was performed for 8 conditions which were classified according to the anchor reinforcement, separation distance (1D, 2D, 4D) from the shear surface to bonded part and the lateral-pressure condition (0.1 MPa, 0.2 MPa) of adjacent ground. As a result of the shear test, it was found that the separation distance and the lateral-pressure condition affect the shear force of the ground reinforced by anchor and the tension force of the anchor, and experimentally verified that the shear force variation is related to axial force variation of the anchor head and tip. Therefore, it was confirmed that the behavior of the bonded part induced by the shear deformation can be indirectly predicted by analyzing the tendency of the tension force variation of the anchor head.

In these days, surveying instruments are developing rapidly and the precision is improving continuously. The reappearance of three dimensional terrains of a great precision are possible and the calculation of the area or the volume has a high precision due to the development of the technique of the spatial information system using computer. But actually, in construction site they calculate two-dimensional area using the traditional method, plane table surveying, planimeter, and then get ground surface area through timing the slope correction factor. In this study, I show the defect and inefficiency of the calculation of the area by the traditional methods and survey the area with Electronic Distance Measuring equipment and GPS instrument. With these data, we made the three dimensional terrain model and calculated two-dimensional area and ground surface area. After that, I compared areas that calculated by algorithm method of irregular triangle and analysis of grid method with standardizing the area that calculated by the traditional method. Finally, I suggested more effective and precise method in calculating ground surface area.

Iris recognition is that identifies a user based on the unique iris texture patterns which has the functionalities of dilating or contracting pupil region. Iris recognition systems extract the iris pattern in iris image captured by iris recognition camera. Therefore performance of iris recognition is affected by the quality of iris image which includes iris pattern. If iris image is blurred, iris pattern is transformed. It causes FRR(False Rejection Error) to be increased. Optical defocusing is the main factor to make blurred iris images. In conventional iris recognition camera, they use two kinds of focusing methods such as lilted and auto-focusing method. In case of fixed focusing method, the users should repeatedly align their eyes in DOF(Depth of Field), while the iris recognition system acquires good focused is image. Therefore it can give much inconvenience to the users. In case of auto-focusing method, the iris recognition camera moves focus lens with auto-focusing algorithm for capturing the best focused image. However, that needs additional H/W equipment such as distance measuring sensor between users and camera lens, and motor to move focus lens. Therefore the size and cost of iris recognition camera are increased and this kind of camera cannot be used for small sized mobile device. To overcome those problems, we propose method to increase DOF by iris image restoration algorithm based on focus value of iris image. When we tested our proposed algorithm with BM-ET100 made by Panasonic, we could increase operation range from 48-53cm to 46-56cm.
Rammed Aggregate Pier (RAP) method is intermediate foundation between deep and shallow foundation, and it has been built in world wide. RAP represents a relatively new method that has grown steadily over 19 years since Geopier of USA developed this revolutionary method in 1989. The investigation and research in domestic is not accomplished. In this paper, the examined details of different spacing of piles, bearing capacities, respectively, conclude with recommendations on how RAP can be used in future needs. This documentation further provides comparisons of the laboratory test results which were obtained from changing the spacing of piles, namely installed rammed aggregate pier. Laboratory model test was administered in a sand box. Strain control test was conducted to determine the bearing capacities of the piers; 20 mm, 30 mm and 40 mm RAP in diameter using drilling equipment to make holes were installed in sand at initial relative densities of 40%. By comparing different spacing of piles, in this experiment, piles are spaced structually span, form a ring shape, narrowing the distance of each other, to the center. the result shows that as diameter of pier is bigger in diameter, bearing capacity also dramatically increased due to raised stiffness. Also, as the space between each piers was closed, the settlement rate of soil was decreased significantly. From the test results, as the space between each piles were getting closer, it allows greater chances to have more resistance to deformation, and shows more improved stability of structures. After from the verification work which is continuous leads the accumulation of the site measuring data which is various, and bearing capacity and the settlement is a plan where the research will be advanced for optimum installed RAP.

The purpose of this study is to compare and analyze the performance and work productivity of wet type pavement cutters and sludge suction type pavement cutters (hereinafter referred to as automatic pavement cutters) developed to reduce scattering dust. We first investigated the development status of wet type manual pavement cutters that are mainly used in Korea and automatic pavement cutters, and analyzed the pavement cutting work in detail. And the standard cutting performance was derived by measuring the cutting time by depth by applying the two equipment to the test bed under the same conditions. However, there is a limitation that the data measured in the test bed does not reflect the various variables of the actual pavement cutting site. Therefore, in this study, data was collected through field surveys, and the correlation between cutting distance and time was analyzed, and then a model for calculating the productivity of pavement cutters was presented through simple regression analysis. As a result of comparative analysis of the values derived from the regression equation with the standard cutting performance derived from the test bed, the cutting performance derived through the regression equation showed a similar trend to the standard cutting performance. Finally, we verified the usability of the automated pavement cutter developed by qualitatively analyzing three tasks that are difficult to measure quantitatively but affect productivity.

Purpose : Under the assumption of change to the amplitude based sorting, the study will use four dimensional computed tomography imaging (4DCT) arrayed using the phase based sorting to analyze the respiratory phase difference. Materials and Methods : The study analyzed the 4DCT (4-dimensional computed tomography) images of 10 liver cancer patients that were treated with respiratory gated radiotherapy from 2015 February to March. Using RPM respiratory gating (RPM 1.7.5, Varian, USA) equipment, imaging according to respiratory cycle of phase based sorting was acquired and using a treatment planning system (Pinnacle 9.2, Philips, USA) the acquired imaging according to respiratory cycle was used to measure the abdominal movement value by respiratory cycle. The measuring point was the point where the center point of the Marker Block and the body surface met in the 50% phase image and here the coordinate values Lateral, Vertical, Longitudinal (X, Y, Z) were set as reference points, and on the X, Z plane identical to the reference point, using the identical method the Y axis coordinate value of each 0%, 30%, 40%, 50%, 60%, 80% phase images were acquired to quantitatively measure the variation of distance to the Y axis. The abdominal movement value according to respiration was applied to the theoretical model that the value decreases linearly from maximum inhalation to maximum exhalation to divide the variation of my value to predict as amplitude value by respiratory cycle and conversely the variation in amplitude was recalculated with the phase variation deviation value to analyze. Results : The deviation value between expected value and actual location was the largest in the 30% phase with 0.24 cm, and standard deviation was also the largest in 30% phase with 0.13 cm. The effective value of the deviation value derived from the average of the deviation squared value of each patient appeared as minimum 0.7 cm, maximum 0.18 cm, average 0.12 cm, and standard deviation 0.4 cm. Also by dividing the actual movement distance value with the peak expiration value then converting it into %Phase, the deviation value with actual phase 16.5% in 30% phase, 10.0% and 40% phase, 10.0% and 60% phase, 15.4% and 80% phase, and overall average about 13%, and arraying based on amplitude, phase shift occurred and further it was from peak expiration the chance of deviation occurrence was increasingly measured. Conclusion : Based on the results of the study there were differences between value acquired based on theoretical model and actual value. Therefore in respiratory gated radiotherapy using external surrogates, there needs to be establishment of respiration gated radiation system that avoids the combination of two Sorting methods considering that there will be occurrence of treatment and corresponding clinical differences due to the phase difference that occur due to the Amplitude based Phase Sorting.
