In one bath dyeing system of silk/cellulose acetate fiber blend fabric with acid /disperse dyes, adsorption behavior of acid dyes and disperse dyes on silk and cellulose acetate fabrics were examined. In the dyeing of cellulose acetate with C. I. Disperse Red 19(Red 19) and C. I. Disperse Red 60(Red 60) at 8$0^{\circ}C$ and 10$0^{\circ}C$, dye uptake with Red 19 was higher than that with Red 60. When the silk/cellulose acetate dyed with Red 19 and Red 60 at 10$0^{\circ}C$, dye uptake on cellulose acetate was influenced by affinity of the dye to the silk fabric dyed together. When the silk/cellulose acetate dyed with Blue 80/Red 19 and Blue 80/Red 60 at 10$0^{\circ}C$, color of cellulose acetate dyed with Red 19 and Red 60 was not influenced by Blue 80 but silk dyed with Blue 80 was influenced by Red 19 and Red 60. Interrelation of K/S value and Munsell value was scarcely any but showed the change tendency of K/S value.
In this study, the dyeing properties of supercritical fluid dyed cotton fabrics were investigated which use two types of dyes, such as C.I. Disperse orange and C.I. Disperse red 167. Dyeing temperature, pressure and leveling time were equally applied at 130 ℃, 250 bar, and 60 minutes with reference to the related literature, and experiments were performed at concentrations of 0.04, 0.1, 0.4 and 0.8 % o.w.f with different concentrations. Dyeability was confirmed through measurement of washing fastness and color coordinate, and a calibration curve of each dye was drawn up and the absorbance of the residual dye was measured to confirm the amount of residual dye and the dye exhaustion rate at the corresponding concentration. As a result of color difference measurement, as the concentration increased, the L* value decreased and the K/S value increased. However, as the concentration increased, the increase in K/S value decreased compared to the input amount, and this tendency was more obvious in C.I. Disperse red 167 than in C.I. Disperse orange 155. The dye exhaustion rate which was calculated by using the amount of residual dye in the pot was also C.I. Disperse orange 155 was 96.16 % and C.I. Disperse red 167 was 94.57 %. However, as the dyeing concentration increased, the dye exhaustion rate decreased, that C.I. Disperse orange was 95.33 % and C.I. Disperse red 167 was 90.63 %. As a result of the washing fastness test for both dyes, dyed samples of which concentrations were 0.4 and 0.8 % o.w.f decreased by 0.5 ~ 1.0 grade. This is predicted because the dye did not completely adhere to the amorphous region of the cotton fiber and the dye simply adsorbed. The fastness to rubbing also maintained at least grade 3-4 up to the 0.1 % o.w.f concentration, but at the concentration of 0.4 % o.w.f or higher, it fell to grade 1 or lower, showing a very poor friction fastness.
Polyester microfiber has usually greater dye uptake than normal denier polyester fiber in same dyeing condition. In spite of this high dye uptake dyed microfiber fabric has not only low visual colour depth but also poor washing fastness property. In order to study high colouring dyeing technology and high washing fastness of polyester microfiber, dyeing property of polyester microfiber was investigated according to the dye solubility and particle size of used disperse dyes in aqueous dye solution. After disperse dyeing, dyed fabric with disperse dye was redyed with a vat dye without reduction clearing in order to obtain a high washing fastness property. The result were as followings ; A small particle sized disperse dyes such as C. I. Disperse Blue 56 and Red 60 showed high rate of initial exhaution compared with a large particle sized disperse dyes like C. I. Disperse Blue 165 and Red 343. In study of dyeing property of polyester microfiber with C. I. Vat Blue 1, polyester microfiber could achieve high dye uptake at a given optimum vatting process conditions. On the other hand, in consecutive dyeing with disperse and vat dye, K/S value of polyester microfiber with a small particle sized disperse dye increased without reduction clearings, but K/S value of polyester microfiber with a large particle sized disperse dye decreased with reduction clearings.
In this study, the dyeing characteristics of nylon fabric which is dyed with supercritical fluid were investigated. There were two dyes used in the dyeing experiment: C.I. Disperse Red 167 and C.I. Disperse Violet 93. Dyeing temperature, pressure, and leveling time were fixed at 110℃, 250bar, 60minutes, and the experiment was conducted with dyeing concentration of 0.1, 0.3, 0.5, and 0.85% o.w.f. The analysis of the experimental results was found out through the measurement of washing fastness and color coordinate. In addition, the calibration curve of each dye was drawn up and the amount of remaining dye was checked by measuring the absorbance of the residual dye. As a result of color difference measurement, as the concentration increased, the L⁎ value decreased and the K/S value increased. However, the increase in K/S value compared to the amount of input decreased as the concentration increased. The comparative experiment on the amount of residual dye(C.I. Disperse Red 167) in the pot showed that 99.14% of the amount was dyed at the concentration of 0.1% o.w.f, while it rapidly decreased to 77% at 0.85% o.w.f. C.I. Disperse Violet 93 dye also decreased from 0.5% o.w.f to 93.91%. In the washing fastness experiment of both dyes, the level of washing fastness began to decrease from samples dyed at 0.5% o.w.f. It may be because the simply absorbed dye was produced instead of completely being fixed in the amorphous region of the nylon fiber.

Effects of chemical structure of disperse dyes applied to conventional and microdenier polyesters on the dyeing property and washfastness were studied. It was found that washfastness of dyed polyester fabric is closely related to the degree of thermomigration of disperse dye during heatsetting. The bulky disperse dye, which was synthesized by substituting two acetoxy groups of C.I. Disperse Red 82 with two benzoxy groups, showed almost the same amount of absorbed dye by the microdenier polyester as C.I. Disperse Red 82, but the degree of thermomigration was low and subsequent washfastness was excellent. The high grade of washfastness of the bulky disperse dye might be caused by the increased dye-fiber interaction and the reduced mobility.
Batch culture system and continuous culture systems were used to investigate the removal of disperse dye using white rot fungi. White rot fungi used in the study were Coriolus hirsutus IFO 4917, Lenzites betulina IFO 6266, Coriolus versicolor IFO 30340 and Phanerochaete chrysosporium IFO 31249. The results of the batch culture experiment showed that white rot fungi used in this study had excellent dye removal abilities. Phnerochete chrysosporium IFO 31249 was especially effective on the removal of disperse dyes. And continuous treatment of disperse red 60 was studied under two type of reactor using Phanerochaete chrysosporium IFO 31249. The removal efficiency of disperse red 60 for immobilized Phanerochaete chrysosporium IFO 31249 in continuous reactor with vertical matrix was increased 1.3 fold in $1.4\;hr^{-1}$ dilution rate when compared with continuous reactor without vertical matrix.

The removal efficiency of disperse red-60 were more than 95% in 0.20 ${\sim} 1.50 $hr^{-1}$ dilution rate and 90% in $1.83h^{-1}$ dilution rate.
The five new red disperse dyes for unmodified pure polypropylene fibers were synthesized. As a coupling component, a di-n-hexyl substituent was used in common, while various substituents were used for the diazo component. The dye having electron donating group at diazo component showed hypsochromic shift compared to the unsubstituted dye, while the dyes having electron withdrawing groups showed bathochromic shift. Owing to their extreme hydrophobicity caused by the di-n-hexyl substituent, all dyes exhibited very high affinity toward pure polypropylene fibers. Fastness to washing was very good for all dyes and fastness to light was good except two purplish red dyes.

When some disperse dye was decolored with oxidation power of ozone, the results in investigation of decoloration behavior with dye solution and its order of reaction and variation of TOC were as follow: 1. Order of decoloration for Some disperse dye is C.I. Disperse Blue 79>Blue 73> Red 343>Red 60>Blue 354>Yellow 42. 2. Velocity of decoloration for the all dyestuffs was the fastest when pH 3. 3. TOC was rapidly reduced between 10 min. and 20 min. 4. For the reduction of TOC ozone was needs many times as compared with decoloration of dyestuffs.
Disperse dyes derived from heterocyclic compounds such as phenylindole, pyridone, diaminopyridine, and carbazole have been known to exhibit high light fastness and bathochromic shift compared to the coursponding aminoazobenzene. The synthetic method to obtain diaminopyridine derivatives, which can be used as coupling components, was chlorination of pyridone with phosphorous oxychloride, followed by substitution with various primary amines. Four azo disperse dyes were synthesized by coupling four diaminopyridines with 2-cyano-4-nitroaniline as a diazo component. Structures of these dyes were confirmed by $^1H$ NMR spectroscopy. The wavelengths of maximum absorption of the synthesized disperse dyes were in the range of $517\~528nm$, and molar extinction coefficients were $45,700\~50,100$. The dyeability of four disperse dyes toward PET fiber was generally good. Wash and rubbing fastnesses were excellent, while light and dry heat fastness were good.
