무선 환경에서의 이동 클라이언트를 위한 효율적인 캐시 일관성 유지 방안 (An Efficient Cache Consistency Method for Mobile Clients in Wireless Environments)

  • 최근 이동 컴퓨팅(Mobile Computing)환경에서의 잦은 접속 단절로 인한 클라이언트 캐시 일관성(Consistency) 문제를 해결하기 위한 방법에 대한 연구가 진행되고 있다. 이러한 캐시 유지 방법의 한 분야로서, 무효화 보고(Invalidation Report)에 대한 연구가 진행 중이다. 그러나 기존의 무효화 보고에 대한 연구는 서버에서의 갱신 정도와 상관없이 전송되기 이전 일정 시간동안의 서버 갱신에 대한 정보만을 포함한다. 따라서 기존의 방법은 무효화 보고에 포함되어 있는 정보의 범위 이상의 시간 동안의 클라이언트 접속 단절이 발생할 경우 서버에서 어느 정도의 갱신이 발생하였는지와는 무관하게 클라이언트의 캐시 일관성을 유지하지 못한다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 무효화 보고에 포함되어 있는 정보의 범위를 초과하는 시간 동안 접속 단절된 클라이언트에 대하여 각 클라이언트가 캐시한 데이타 가운데 어느 정도의 데이타가 갱신 되었을지 예측함으로써 캐시 일관성을 유지할 수 있는 효율적인 CCI(Cost-based Cache Invalidation)기법을 제안한다. 또한 기존의 무효화보고 기법인 BT(Broadcasting Time stamp)과 CCI의 성능 비교를 실시하였다.

  • In this paper, we discuss the CPU Utilization and bottle neck of the router on campus network. Generally, high CPU utilization does not only makes slow network speed but also frequently network disconnection. The above characteristic is based on the network with one router. In order to solve this problem, we reconstruct network configuration with two routers. Our result shows that CPU utilization of network topology with two router have good performance compared to that with one.

  • Mobile agent technologies are getting popular as means for accessing network resources efficiently. In order for mobile agents to be accepted as a reliable technology for applications such as e-commerce, a proper framework for mobile database should be established. In this paper, we first discuss weak points of current mobile computing systems that mostly result from the limitations of current mobile computing technology including frequent disconnection, limited battery capacity, low-bandwidth communication and reduced storage capacity. These weak points also have become the cause of transaction problem where mobile devices issue transactions. In order to eliminate this transaction problem in the mobile environment, we propose a mobile database framework, Proxyne, which is based on the proxy and SyncML.

  • We must solve problems caused by mobile computing environments for supporting efficient mobile computing services. The problem is the use of wireless medium having high error rates and low bandwidth, and the sudden network disconnection to reduce the power consumption of a mobile host and the cost of the network connection. For these problems, we proposed the architecture of the partial connection manager and designed and implemented that in this paper. In particular, The partial connection manager creates the limited number of mobile agents according to priority and sends them in parallel to server systems and combines results of them process rapidly the user request. By applying the proposed partial connection manager to the mobile computing services called cybermarket, we knew that the mobile agent technique could be suited to the mobile computing environment and overcome the partial connection problem caused by eh mobile computing environment.

  • Because of world financial crisis, The Korea domestic construction industry has been damaged hugely on material supplying work. A current domestic material supply system can't react properly on a great rise of foreign exchange rate and raw material price, so the system has a problem which is not properly supplying material. To solve this problem, a more innovative material supply work system is seriously needed than ever. So this study wants to improve material supply system for supplying material right time, right place through applying a web-based system. Applying this, overall process of material-supply-work can be done on a web-based system for immediately understanding change of ordering and warehousing by material-supply-schedule to a domestic construction field.

New Adaptive Linear Combination Structure for Tracking/Estimating Phasor and Frequency of Power System

  • This paper presents new Adaptive Linear Combination Structure (ADALINE) for tracking/estimating voltage-current phasor and frequency of power system. To estimate the phasors and frequency from sampled data, the algorithm assumes that orthogonal coefficients and speed of angular frequency of power system are unknown parameters. With adequate sampled data, the estimation problem can be considered as a linear weighted least squares (LMS) problem. In addition to determining the phasors (orthogonal coefficients), the procedure estimates the power system frequency. The main algorithm is verified through a computer simulation and data from field. The proposed algorithm is tested with transient and dynamic behaviors during power swing, a step change of frequency upon islanding of small generators and disconnection of load. The algorithm shows a very high accuracy, robustness, fast response time and adaptive performance over a wide range of frequency, from 10 to 2000 Hz.

GOSST 문제에 대한 전역적 배치와 지역적 배치 휴리스틱의 개선을 위한 G-Node와 단절에 관한 연구 (A Study on the G-Node and Disconnected Edges to Improve the Global and Local Locating Heuristic for GOSST Problem)

  • GOSST 문제에 대한 이전 휴리스틱의 성능 개선을 위한 새로운 제안이 본 논문에서 제시된다. 이 문제는 다양한 등급의 서비스를 제공할 수 있는 통신 네트워크의 설계 등에 적용될 수 있다. GOSST 문제는 G-Condition을 만족하는 최소 구축비용의 네트워크를 찾는 것으로 NP-HARD 문제에 포함된다. 우리는 이전의 연구에서 이 문제와 관련된 두개의 휴리스틱을 발표하였다. 본 연구에서는 스타이너 트리 생성 시 이용되는 G-Node와 제거되는 에지의 선택 방법을 제안하고, 이를 기존의 휴리스틱에 접목한 새로운 휴리스틱을 구현한다. 실험 결과는 이 휴리스틱이 이전 것에 비해 우수함을 나타내는데, 새 지역적 배치 휴리스틱은 17%, 새 전역적 배치 휴리스틱은 14%의 네트워크 구축비용 절감비율의 증가를 보였다.

알레르기질환 아동의 문제행동 변화유형 분석: 5~7차 한국아동패널 자료를 이용한 2차자료분석 (Identifying Trajectories of Behavioral Problems in Children with Allergic Diseases: Secondary Data Analysis of the 5th to 7th Panel Study of Korean Children)

  • Purpose: This study aimed to identify latent classes of behavioral problem trajectories in children with allergic diseases and investigate their predictors. Methods: This study used data from the 5th to 7th Panel Study of Korean Children. The participants included 840 children aged 4~6 years with allergic diseases. Statistical analyses were conducted using latent class growth analysis and multinomial logistic regression. Results: The trajectories of both internalizing and externalizing behavioral problems in children with allergic diseases were classified into five groups, that is deteriorative, recovering, changing 1 (decreasing-increasing), changing 2 (increasing-decreasing), and low state persistent group. For the internalizing behavioral problems, predictors were temperament, father's education, family interaction, and disconnection in peer interaction. For the externalizing behavioral problems, predictors child's gender, temperament, marital conflict, parenting stress, family interaction, and parenting environment. Conclusion: Deteriorative group has high-risk behavioral problems in children with allergic diseases. We suggest to provide interventions considering latent problem trajectories based on ecological environments for allergic children.

CCN 실시간 서비스에서 이동성 탐지에 따른 중간노드의 이동성 지원 (Supporting Intermediate-node Mobility in CCN Real-time Service according to Mobility Detection)

  • Recently, the number of mobile users as well as high-speed Internet user has been increasing rapidly. Moreover, traffic is growing fast as services that provide real-time content such as Youtube and Netflix become popular. The problem of traffic control in real-time content services is important because many people use cell phones to receive real-time content. In this regard, the field of CCN is currently being studied. We studied the mobility of nodes among CCN research fields. Node mobility can be divided into three categories : consumer mobility, intermediate node, and provide mobility. In this paper, we propose Mobility Node Support(MD-INS) to support the intermediate-node mobility in CCN real-time services. Experimental results show that the proposed scheme shows better performance than CCN in terms of service disconnection time and packet loss.

가치-부가적 성과 관점에 따른 효과적인 목표설정과 실사례 (The Effective Goal-Setting and The Practice based on Value-Added Results(VAR))

  • The purpose of this article is to introduce a useful methodology of effective goal-setting for the team-level units. As a way to overcome some common symptoms in terms of Strategic Performance Evaluation System such as lack of knowledge on goal-setting, disconnection of process, problem of judging the degree of difficulty about objectives, limits of staff departments evaluation, fairness and authority of evaluators, weakness in coaching technique, and quantity or figure-oriented evaluation, to name a few, and to seek a more plausible goal-setting methodology, the author suggests a persuasive goal-setting concept: VAR(Value-Added Results). VAR, as the end-results, is the team contributions that add value to the organization, and it results from the team's activities. In addition to these goal-setting technique based on the concept of value-added results, several aspects should be improved for Strategic Performance Evaluation System to be implemented more effectively. They are: 1) shift from MBO to MP & D(Managing Performance & Development), 2) impartial exercise of evaluation authority as a organizational public assets, 3) reinforcement of maternal leadership and servantship instead of paternal leadership, 4) utilization of IT-based evaluation system.
