Child labor is being recognized as the key issue of human rights, and the International Labor Organization and the Convention on the Rights of the Child emphasize that children are individuals with dignity and rights. Male and female child actors belong to a profession with wide public exposure and there is a potential danger of invading classes and roles not matching the developmental stage of the child. In this study, we would like to discuss international and domestic laws and future complementary measures surrounding legal and institutional issues that need to be considered for child actors. Although the basic rights for child workers are stated in the Constitution Article 32 Paragraph 5 and Labor Standards Act Articles 64 through 70, they are insufficient. Following the revised broadcasting deliberation regulations by the Korea Communication Commission and amendment of the Juvenile Protection Law, several changes are taking place in the working environment. In certain foreign places such as California, United States, the economic and educational rights of male and female child actors are being protected. Although legal and institutional frameworks for the male and female child actors are being reinforced, more consistent devices are needed. Consideration for working hours, regulations to keep up with learning while working, and preparation for physical and emotional influences are required to keep up with international changes.
The Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities is the international conventions to acknowledge that persons with disabilities have dignity as human being and to give us duty to make an effort for protection of persons with disabilities' rights. This study deducts several tasks in spatial information field to fulfill the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities effectively. First of all, For the deduction, this study starts by considering accessability, personal movement, freedom of expression and accessability to information. Second, this study defines persons with disabilities as the spatial information what ensure for prior considerations. Third, this study deducts some requirements on spatial information of persons with disabilities on the basis of the survey targeting persons with disabilities and the expert opinion, and suggests objectives, strategies, tasks, systems for effective implementation of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. Especially, this study sets up a goal on spatial information establishing strategy of persons with disabilities as 'Disadvantaged groups like persons with disabilities can obtain requirable information without distinction of person, thereby pursuing the convenience of life and improving the quality of life.
The aim of this study was to evaluate the dental specialty system from the viewpoint of korean constitution. An attempt to introduce a dental specialty system has been repeated many times, but it was interrupted by the dispute of the interested parties, especially general practice dentists, trained dentists and the authorites concerned. The korean constitutional court decided on July 16th 1998 that the lack of the examination to be a dental specialist was against the korean constitutional law and the authority concerned should prepare the legal procedure for the dental specialist examination in proper time. Though the dental specialty system may be discussed in a variety of view, it should be established on the ground of the korean constitutionalism. According to the korean constitution, all the people can develop their abilities at the maximum and have their dignity, preciousness and right to seek their happiness. With the view of spirits of the constitution, dental specialty system should be more open widely to those who want to be a specialist. It should be also allowed to the dental specialists that they reveal their specialty and creativity. However, the representatives of the korean dental association(KDA) decided at the 50th annual meeting that the dental specialists should not reveal or annonce their specialties at the first step of the dental care and all the present dentists give up to be specialists. As conclusion of this study the proposals of the KDA seems to be against the korean constitution and hardly fulfills the needs of the times.
This descriptive study was conducted to identify the attitude toward euthanasia of EMT and nursing students and to compare their attitude before and after clinical practice. The convenience sample was comprised of 40 first grade and 40 second grade EMT students attended at G college in G-city, and 40 first grade and 40 third grade nursing students attended at C college in C-province. The variable was tested with an euthanasia attitude scale developed by Kim Ae Kyoung(2001). The valid responses were obtained and analyzed by using SPSS PC+ from November 25 to December 6, 2002. The results showed that most of the respondents agreed to have positive attitude toward euthanasia in terms of client's right and client's quality of life. Also, they thought that euthanasia should be legalized and the right to die with dignity should be guaranteed. The EMT respondents having a clinical experience showed significantly higher score than respondents having no experience in the subarea of medical ethics, and nursing respondents who had a clinical practice showed significantly higher score than others no experience in the subarea of quality of life. But, the other sub-areas had no significant difference between the respondents before and after clinical practice. The attitude toward euthanasia composed of sub-areas such as being after the quality of life, having a high regard for a life and recognizing client's right was not affected by the single factor of clinical practice. Therefore, much supportive intervention need to be done for the students about the significant affecting factors found in this study like a religion, values, education and observing experience of someone's death.
This study is focused on two things, on the matter of judge's robe(JR) which is worn in the court. First, Korean JR were examined from late 19th century through today(1997)to reveal the entity of the JR : characteristics of each JR has been changed according to the political or international influences. Second, JR from 92 countries were collected and analyzed to figure out the plastic characteristics of the JR among international society. The results are as follows : First, Korean JR were have changed many times according to the social, political influences. The Korean modern judicial system were proclaim in 1895 and JR were adapted in 1906. In 1920, Japanese style JR were worn until 1945 when Korean government have had her Independence. Korean Government have changed JR through which Korean identities were expressed through patterns such as national flower Mukungwha(Hibiscus) and Yang & Yin. In 1966 Korean JR were changed again and adopted western style JR until today (1997) which have many things in common with academic robe of university or clerical robe. Second, the analysis of the 92 international JR were summarized as follows : (1) The JR were consisted of three styles such as Gown style, Cape style and Jacket style. And Gown style has been found as the most popular style(86%) for JR among them. (2) As the main color of JR, black is used among 60% of countries and red is used in 33% of countries. Gold were matched for black JR and gray for red JR as their sub-color. (3) The most popular material were wool and satin were favored as its sub-materials. (4) Natural and Geometric Patterns were used to express the symbol of the country and the court. (5) Decorative items and details such as hat, gloves, shoes, wig, necklace, neck-tie, stole, tassels, rope, ruffles were used to express wearers dignity and symbolism. These results are expected to be adapted for the future design for new JR which has its identity and characteristics.
Purpose : This integrative review aimed to synthesize studies on intensive care unit (ICU) nurses' attitude, perceptions, and experiences toward end-of-life care decision-making. Methods : Using Whittermore and Knafl (2005)'s methods, we identified and synthesized research articles published in domestic journals between the years 2003 and 2019 and evaluated the quality of selected articles using the Mixed Methods Appraisal Tool. Results : In the 13 studies reviewed, 12 were published prior to enactment of the "The Act for Hospice and Palliative Care and Decision-Making about Life-Sustaining Treatment (2018)." All nine quantitative studies identified were based on cross-sectional descriptive survey. In four qualitative studies, content analysis (n=2) and phenomenology (n=2) were used. Overall, ICU nurses were well-aware of the necessity of communicating and limiting life-sustaining treatments. Many ICU nurses had positive attitude towards limiting life-sustaining treatments to promote patients' comfort and dignity. Although nurses were willing to take active roles, they also reported having experienced high stress in the process of decision-making and implementation. Conclusions : It is important to prepare ICU nurses with proper knowledge and attitude regarding the topic area. It is also equally important to develop systems to support nurses' emotional stress and moral distress during communication, decision-making, and implementation.
This study investigated and analyzed Sadanggut for General Namyi, Agisee Gutdang in Haengdang-dong, Dodanggut in Bonghwa Mountainto examine the type and characteristics of official hats for shaman's costumes based on Seoul village gutas a spiritualistic shaman revealing the divinity of music for gutthrough singing, dancing, divine material and official hats. Commonly worn official hats were Goggal(conical hats), Jeonlip(soldier's felt hats), and Heuklip(black hats) for Seoul village gut as the object of thisstudy. Each official hat had a close relationship with subjects for divinity and musical meaning for gut. Julip(Red hats), Jokduri(bride's headpiece), helmets, Iksubgwan(King's official hat), and Daesu(Queen's a big wig with various hairpins) were also worn. Official hats worn for Seoul village gutwere understood to symbolize divinity and raise authority and dignity to the public through aggressive appearance, exaggeration and splendor. Concretely, official hats at Seoul village gut first had roles to materialize the divinity of each music of gut. Second, recognized as a part of performance or traditional culture in present day, aggressive official hats were favored to supply splendid attraction and maximize scenes of divined heroic epic poem in gut. Third, for Seoul village gut, colors and silhouettes of modern traditional costumes were reflected pursuing partial change and focused on exaggeration and splendor to express the mirth and festival of gutwhile maintaining traditional costumes.
The purpose of this research is to find out the usefulness of the Mentorship program for gifted science students. The usability has been proved by the results from a survey of a group of mentorship education students. Among those surveyed some are the students a gifted science education institute in university. Students have improved their own study ability, creative problem solving ability by performing the experiment planning on their own, and presented their papers through Mentorship program, and it is possibly observed that they have their own dignity as scientist by performing the actual science activities. Also, with the result of the survey, the effectiveness of the Mentorship program is very positive onto the students. Mentorship program is one of the educational method to widen the students' experience chances, and the depth of thought, and improve the scientific ability and creative problem solving ability.
In banquets of royal courts held in the late Joseon Dynasty, a procedure that follows the customs as well as physical components to follow that procedure were necessary. A noticeable trait of the red blinds(朱簾) is that they are seen in the naeyon(內宴) types of banquets, which is mostly centered on the queen dowager and relatives, and they function as a makeshift facility that divide the different banquet spaces according to the hierarchy of the royal family. Furthermore, the red blinds within the court played an important role in the procedure of the banquet along with the incense, as it was drawn upon the queen dowager's appearance to signal the beginning, and folded out again to signal the end. This indicates that they were of higher importance within the banquet space. The red blinds used in the playacting stage of the royal court not only segmented the space, but also upon being taken down, expanded and integrated the banquet hall, thereby maximizing the playacting stage. Once the banquet was finished, the red blinds within the court were once again folded out so as to restore dignity to the space. The red blind is a symbolic item that could open the private space of the court so as to enable communication with the public space, and also close it off to restore privacy. Also, the layout of the banquet space was divided by the red blinds into primary, secondary, and tertiary hierarchal space, according to the status of the royal family and the banquet attendants. In other words, the red blinds played an important role in its the symbolic meaning in the national precedent as well as distinguishing the hierarchy of space within the naeyon banquet in the royal court.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify on the perceptions of family care-givers toward use of physical restraints according to their values, beliefs, and perceptions using Q methodology. Methods: Thirty-three family care-givers classified 41 selected Q-statements into 9 points standard. The obtained data were analyzed by using a pc QUANL program. Results: Principal component analysis identified 4types of the perceptions of family care-givers toward the use of physical restraints. Type I is 'Rational accepted', which means that they perceived the restraints are essential therapeutic devices and had cooperative attitude to use of medical staffs' restraints. Type II is 'Sardonic sensibility', which means that they have a negative and a cynical attitude to use of physical restraints. Type III is 'Ambivalent', which means that they have conflicts between rationality and emotion, and type IV is 'Practical claim of a right', which means they insist that patients and their family members must be provided with a detailed explanation regarding the application of physical restraints. Conclusion: The findings of this study suggest that perceptions toward the use of physical restraints among family care-givers should be understood for patients' safety and dignity in medical circumstance. Based on the results, this study will be useful in developing the customized nursing intervention for supporting family care-givers' subjectivity considering the Korean context.
