Purpose: This study was performed to identify and understand the nature of attitude patterns regarding dying process exhibited in the elderly persons who lived in the community setting. Method: Q methodology was applied. Ten elderly were selected from the senior centers and requested to answer open ended questions by using written questionnaires. Additionally, 12 other elderly from different senior centers were interviewed in depth, and their statements were recorded via voice pen by researchers to derive Q-population. From the 120 Q-population, 33 Q-sample were selected. 22 P-sample were rated by 1 to 9 point scale respectively for Q-sorting. For Q-type analysis, pc QUNAL was used. Result: Three types of attitude patterns were identified, which were valuing dignity, seeking provision of nature, and avoiding of dying process. Conclusion: The significance of this study is as follows : Discovery of 3 attitude patterns of elderly toward dying, better understanding about elderly's perspectives for favorable dying, and informations for possible development of nursing strategies for elderly who is facing death.

Campus facilities were recently remodeled to provide the substantial learning rights of handicapped students in many campus to embody the dignity and value as man. So this study aims to identify the exterior connection facilities for handicapped students of S and D campuses. The summaries of this research are as follows. Installations of even crossing area(1.5mx1.5m) per 50m and even rest area(1.5mx1.5m) per 30m in walking or access ramp. Improving in accordance with exterior connection facility repairing master plan in S campus. Bringing down an angle degrees of the inclined walking or access ramp in D campus. Installation of exterior braille guide sign for blind students. All handicapped students must be guaranteed the same learning rights as normal men to remove obstacles as the upper mentioned imperfections in using exterior campus facilities.

As the number of homeless is increasing, there have been worries for social burden and social insecurity, along with crisis in human dignity. The purpose of this research is to identify characteristics of a Supportive Housing (SH) project which is considered best practice in dealing with homeless problem. A field visit walk through observation and in-depth interview was utilized as the main research method. As results, overall management, spatial and service characteristics were delineated, and its meaning and uniqueness were discussed, as well as, comparison with Korean conditions. In conclusion, the characteristics of the Supportive Housing were more realistically revealed through a current field case to inspire to explore housing for Korea. Besides current concerns were linked and implication to Korean adaptation was suggested. This study is unique in that SH of USA is firstly introduced in such details.

Individuals with special needs include those with behavioral issues, developmental disorders, cognitive disorders, congenital or genetic disorders, or systemic disease. These conditions may place them at increased risk for oral diseases. Dental management of patients with special needs require in-depth understanding of the background of disability and available behavioral guidance theories. Therefore dental team members need more training in the theory and practice of behavior management principles, which might lead to a clinical experience that is more respectful of the dignity and independence of patients with special needs. The dental professional should be flexible to modify the behavior management approach according to the individual patients needs. Also a family/care-giver centered approach based on their preferences and concerns, the patient's challenging behaviors, and related medical problem can serve to improve the treatment planning and oral health management of dental patients with special needs. This article focuses on uncooperative behavior and behavior management, which help practicing dentists to understand their role in the care of patients with special needs.

This study is to explore the Post-modern fashion image appeared in the costumes of the movie $\ulcorner$Matrix2-Reloaded$\lrcorner$, which is believed to adapt successfully the Postmodernism ideas on screen. From this study, we can find that the movie costumes express certain formative characteristics considerably affected by the contemporary fashion trends such as Minimalism, Formalism, Futurism, Ethno-eclecticism, Asexualism. These are mostly common tendencies aroused in the complex and pluralistic circumstances of Postmodernism where many diverse values are equally regarded. Finally, the 5 trends lead to represent the following symbolic meanings with entanglement in multiplex ways, that is Virtual Reality, Mechanic Artificiality, Human Dignity, Mysticism, Multi-Culturism, and Nonsexuality to create a strong unified imagery and style in that Post-modern movie.

Nowadays the numbers of the disabled and elderly have been increasing, and the universal design is desperately in demand. The purpose of this study was to offer ideas and solutions for the universal fashion design. The concept and the principles of universal design have been examined and principles of universal fashion design were suggested: low physical effort, flexibility in use, fair in use, aesthetics, safely-oriented, affordability, and accessibility. Eighteen web sites were investigated and the universal fashion products were analyzed based on these principles. Well developed universal fashion design products will help individuals to obtain the quality of life, maintain the dignity, and make the access to the world a little bit easier.

Functional neurology is a function-oriented clinical neurology with a focus on the viability, functionality, and balance of the neurologic system, which may be considered as a form of yin-yang balance medicine like Korean medicine. While it incorporates knowledge systems such as developmental neurology, neuropsychology, comparative neuroanatomy, and others, it views the neurologic system and the body as an individually different, self-regulating mechanism with the help of the active balancing mechanism within the nervous system and between the individual and the environment, which view is at the core of its effort to improve and serve the human dignity based on the best possible functioning nervous system. This article reviews core concepts of the functional neurology, discusses yin-yang balance medicine perspectives and clinical applications of it.

To use an educational network simulation game that has the merits of game, simulatio and network will help children to improve the democratic citizenship educaiton. Purpose: The purpose of this study is to understand the meaning of dignified dying expressed by undergraduate nursing students. Method: Data were collected by in-depth interviews with fifteen nursing students. Conventional qualitative content analysis was used to analyze the data. Result: There were six major themes and eleven sub-categories from the analysis. Six major themes include death with no artificial life support, obedient death as a human nature, death with family members, meaningful death, no self destructive death, and sympathized death receiving from health care providers. Conclusion: The result of this study suggests that the nursing curriculum related to dignified dying can be developed and may affect the teaching and learning settings to improve end-of-life care performance among undergraduate nursing students, as well as, students in human service areas and health care providers.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze attitude toward dignified dying of Korean students majoring in human service area. Methods: The Q-methodology which provides a method of analyzing the subjectivity of each item was used. The 34 selected Q-statements from each of 38 subjects were classified into a shape of normal distribution using a 9 point scale. The collected data was analyzed using a QUANL PC program. Results: Four types of attitude toward dignified dying from the subjects were identified. Type I is an expression type for happy emotion, Type II is a dislike type for life prolongation, Type III is a pursuit type for relationship improvement, and Type IV is a perception type for family presence. Conclusion: The results of the study indicate that integrating multi-disciplinary curriculum development related to dignified dying and death education for students majoring in human service area are needed.
