Through analyzing papers on digital libraries and the contexts of usage of the term, ‘digital library’, this study investigates that the professional discourses about digital libraries regard them digital technologies. But digital libraries need to be recognized as socio-technical networks which are constructed by social interaction between heterogeneous elements. The study suggested that Social Informatics and a STIN(Socio-Technical Interaction Network) model should be applied to understand and analyze digital libraries as socio-technical networks.

'Digital' the most important keyword in the 21th century environment affects on our life whole and method, studying, working, playing and communicating. The purpose of this study is to survey various digital library models that form basic concept of the hybrid information services and to suggest the needs of hybrid information services in digital environments as previous stage towards a building of generic information model appropriate to hybrid information environments. This study deals with the change of information service environments and information services of traditional and digital environments, Also addressed are relationships between digital library and information services. Finally. this study suggest the needs of hybrid information services in digital environments and survey various digital library models that form basic concept of the digital library models.

The purpose of this study was to find out older adults' current uses, satisfaction level and life changes by using digital home services. The study collected data from 140 persons who were 55 years and older living in a digital home. The results of the study showed that consideration level of digital home service installation was the major variable to affect the residents' life changes. In general, the residents who use more digital home services experienced higher positive life changes. Therefore, for older adults, various ideas to expand their understanding of digital home services should be developed to increase their positive life changes.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the emotions of students toward using digital textbooks, and to examine the factors affecting the emotions. This study examined the relationship between individual characteristics and computer usage, students' emotions, and the perceived learning effects. For this study, 2,950 1st grade middle school students participated in a survey which measured individual characteristics, computer usage behavior, emotions toward using digital textbooks, and perceived learning effects of digital textbooks. The results showed that positive emotions toward using digital textbooks were higher than negative emotions. The students' positive emotions were most affected by intrinsic motivation, self-regulated learning, and student's use of computers for learning and entertainment. Similarly, perceived learning effects were positively correlated to intrinsic motivation and self-regulated learning, but the students' positive emotions towards using digital textbooks was the strongest predictor. Digital textbook efficacy was the most influential factor that affected the students' negative emotions, while computer addiction was associated with negative emotions.

This study explores how the digital divide caused by personal SES(Socio-Economic Status) eventually affect personal life satisfaction. The study also investigates the differences between living in urban and rural areas, as well as the differences among generations, with respect to the digital divide and personal life satisfaction. Based on the Korean Media Panel data produced by KISDI, this study used 9,647 national samples to obtain variables such as digital divide, and life satisfaction. Results show that personal SES is a key factor that significantly influences digital divide and life satisfaction in various degrees. Also, the study finds that the degree of the digital divide have an effect on people's life satisfaction. The findings imply that people living in urban areas are more highly used to digital media than those in rural areas regardless of their SES. The study has an implication, in terms of digital equity among generations as well as urban and rural residents.

This study is based on the 'National Pilot Project on Digital Signage in Sejong Special City', one of the pilot projects initiated by the Ministry of Public Administration and Security. This project was an attempt to present the digital signage as a 'public service content platform' integrated with smart technologies. This study suggests that the planning strategy for placing public service contents on digital signage platform should focus on interests of local communities or users rather than high-tech suppliers of digital signage. In consideration of growing needs for smart technology-based public service, this study concentrates on the strategy for developing 'public digital signage services'. In addition, 'digital signage service tools' were designed to easily establish or execute the strategy. The aim of this study is developing the strategy to make digital signage a public cultural service platform as well as a digital advertisement tool. The final goal of this study is to demonstrate public value creation performance of the 'Revitalisation Project of Sejong City's Commercial Districts', which was possible thanks to the proactive involvement of citizens coupled with progressive utilization of interactive media.

Various properties of digital covering spaces have been substantially used in studying digital homotopic properties of digital images. In particular, these are so related to the study of a digital fundamental group, a classification of digital images, an automorphism group of a digital covering space and so forth. The goal of the present paper, as a survey article, to speak out utility of digital covering theory. Besides, the present paper recalls that the papers [1, 4, 30] took their own approaches into the study of a digital fundamental group. For instance, they consider the digital fundamental group of the special digital image (X, 4), where X := $SC^{2,8}_4$ which is a simple closed 4-curve with eight elements in $Z^2$, as a group which is isomorphic to an infinite cyclic group such as (Z, +). In spite of this approach, they could not propose any digital topological tools to get the result. Namely, the papers [4, 30] consider a simple closed 4 or 8-curve to be a kind of simple closed curve from the viewpoint of a Hausdorff topological structure, i.e. a continuous analogue induced by an algebraic topological approach. However, in digital topology we need to develop a digital topological tool to calculate a digital fundamental group of a given digital space. Finally, the paper [9] firstly developed the notion of a digital covering space and further, the advanced and simplified version was proposed in [21]. Thus the present paper refers the history and the process of calculating a digital fundamental group by using various tools and some utilities of digital covering spaces. Furthermore, we deal with some parts of the preprint [11] which were not published in a journal (see Theorems 4.3 and 4.4). Finally, the paper suggests an efficient process of the calculation of digital fundamental groups of digital images.

Recently, digital image is increasing greatly practical use degree in several industry fields including construction. And interest about 3D digital image that can express practical object realistically is augmented greatly. In this study, developed 3D digital image generation system based on digital photogrammetry and created 3D digital image for object. And, wished to verify of 3D digital image through comparative analysis with processing result by digital photogrammetry system been using much the latest for acquisition of 3D information. Also, wished to apply to surface information acquisition about rock slope and execute investigation about discontinuity of joint etc. As the result, could created 3D digital image for object using the 3D digital image generation system developing in this study, and acquire surface information about rock slope efficiently.

The study reviews the digital library thoughts of Kim Jung-gun's and their fellows to discover the developmental aspects of digital library in Korea. And I present the challenges facing digital library's development and research. Discussed are important requisites and digital library framework, and so on. In addition, included are suggestions for establishment of digital librarianship as a foundation o( research and development of digital library.
