The article reports the results of an investigation on the practice of providing digital scholarship services at Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. This study is part of an ongoing research project entitled Developing a digital scholarship service framework for universities at Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City. It employed a qualitative research approach through in-depth interviews with 31 individuals who are university managers, library managers, lecturers, and postgraduate and undergraduate students from six member universities and Central Library of Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City. Research results show that some digital scholarship services have been provided at Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City. However, they have not been yet systematically implemented and have not met users' needs. Lack of needed resources such as space, technology infrastructure, human resources, finance, and stakeholder support are among major challenges in developing digital scholarship services. The management of existing digital scholarship services is fragmented without a clear policy for developing digital scholarship and supporting services. The study contributes to the existing knowledge by adding substantially to current understanding of the practice of providing digital scholarship services in Vietnam's universities in the transition period, from state control to autonomy, which has not been much addressed in previous research. Furthermore, this study can be a useful reference for higher education institutions in developing countries regarding implementation of digital scholarship services.

Purpose - Based on the analysis of Kazakhstan's experience of digital transformation, this study suggests a concept for digital solution to optimize organizational process, create trust networking between the center of state scholarships programs and recipients. In addition, the authors contribute to the current discussions of an effective digital transformation of state services. Research design, data, and methodology - Policy analysis is based on the combination of both primary and secondary materials collected during a Policy Research Project conducted in Kazakhstan in 2017. It involved semi-structured interviews with the state scholarship' recipients, ICT experts and findings from academic articles. Results - Findings are represented via Policy Development Matrix - a table with three options (status quo, partial change, total change) to deal with policy challenges. Authors suggest a concept for digital solution following the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) principles for optimizing core business processes, communication and networking strategies of the state scholarships program. Conclusions - At the time when digitalization becomes trending for states, the transformation of the state education policy is inevitable. The rapid development of digital technologies creates new opportunities for a single integration platform with key principles of Smart Remote Management in the state scholarships programs.

이 연구는 청년들의 높은 비정규직 비율과 계층 양극화의 우려 속에서 저소득층 대학생의 진로준비과정에 대해 이해하고 시사점을 구하기 위한 것이다. 이를 위하여 S 장학재단에서 장학금 지원을 받는 13명의 대학생들을 연구 대상으로 선정하였고, 6회의 인터뷰를 진행하여 그 축어록을 바탕으로 텍스트마이닝 기법을 활용한 분석을 실시하였다. 분석 결과, 대학생들은 인터뷰 과정에서 이전의 학업 경험을 회상하거나 진로를 설계할 때, 가정환경과 소득수준의 영향을 받는 것으로 보이며, 이러한 차이는 성별, 전공별로 다른 특성이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이 연구는 질적 연구 방법으로 축적된 자료에 텍스트마이닝 기법을 융합적으로 적용하여 분석한 연구로 종래의 진로연구에 비하여 방법론적 확장을 시도했다는 의의를 갖고 있다. 그 결과, 저소득층 대학교 장학생들의 성별 및 전공별 진로준비과정의 차이를 대학생활 및 진로준비와 관련된 단어들의 관계를 통해 탐색적으로 살펴볼 수 있었다.

OAI는 디지털도서관의 상호운용성을 위해 개발된 프로토콜이자 철학적 기반이다. 이는 메타데이터의 수확을 위한 프로토콜로서, 분산환경의 디지털도서관의 효율적인 접근과 정보접근 역량을 제고시켜 학술정보의 효율적인 유통을 보장하기 위하여 개발되었다. 따라서 본 논문은 OAI 프로토콜의 등장배경, SP/DP 모델, 관련된 기술 및 구성요건을 살펴보고, 국내에서 처음으로 시도된 KERIS의 적용사례와 OAI에서 권장하는 기본요건과의 차이점을 비교분석하고 있다.

Over the last half-century, computer science has revolutionarily changed the landscape of humanities research. This digital shift in research methodology has reached from the brainstorming process to preserving, constructing, collecting, visualizing, and even analyzing materials. Such transformation has brought about the birth of the new field of study: Digital Humanities (DH). DH undeniably has saved much of the physical chores and provided a new angle to interpret the text, thereby making its meteoric rise as a promising future of the humanities. Based on such innovation, electronic circuitry can seem to replace the imagination that detects relationships and significances of research data with ever-improving interfaces. However, despite hitherto technological development, the thousands-year-old essence of traditional liberal arts-human creativity-remains the heart of humanities research and always will. This paper starts by proving this proposition in the way of comparing the old and new liberal arts research methods, focusing on literary studies. Meanwhile, it thoroughly investigates how digitalized bibliographies, search engines, databases, and digital projects provide the most useful data preservation and virtual experience of browsing in the library, along with their limitations due to the intrinsic quality of humanities research data. Also, it probes the differences between traditional and digital data analysis in current methods of literary studies, ultimately presenting the ideal direction for humanities development in the era of digital convergence.

ICT 활용은 학생들의 학업성취도 수준 향상에 긍정적인 영향을 주고 학생들에게 창의성, 팀워크, 비판적 사고, 독립적 학습 및 학습 동기 개발에 있어서 긍정적 효과를 제공한다고 지적하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 경상남도 초등학생들의 디지털 리터러시 역량을 조사 분석하고, 서울시 초등학생들과 비교하였다. 연구 결과 경상남도 초등학생들은 사회 문화 리터러시 역량이 가장 높았으며, 정보 기술 리터러시 역량이 가장 낮았다. 경상남도 초등학생들의 디지털 리터러시 역량은 서울시 초등학생들의 역량과 차이가 거의 없는 것으로 나타났다.

The fusion of learning, information, and technology presents dynamic challenges for all librarians, educators and students in 21st century libraries and schools. At the heart of this fusion is the growth of a pervasive, integrated information environment characterized by vast quantities of digital content, open choice, collaborative and participatory digital spaces, and the transition of the web environments from consumption of information to creation of information. This environment heralds important opportunities for librarians and teachers to rethink, re-imagine and recreate a dynamic approaches to information literacy instruction. Drawing on an extensive body of research undertaken through the Center for International Scholarship in School Libraries (CISSL), and published research on both information literacy and constructivist learning, this paper provides a critical examination of the current status of information literacy: its multiple conceptualizations, competing models, viewpoints, and its operationalizations in educational and library environments. The paper will challenge information literacy practices which center on simplistic, reductionist approaches to information literacy development, and the separation of information process and knowledge content. In particular it will address apparent contradictions in espoused conceptions of information literacy which revolve around "knowledge": knowledge construction, critical thinking, problem solving and the development of knowledgeable people; and information literacy practices which revolve around "information": a predominant focus on skills of access and evaluation of resources and with less attention given to engaging with found information to develop deep knowledge and understanding. The paper will present a series of challenges for moving forward with information literacy agendas in libraries and schools.

본 논문에서는 대학생 및 취업준비생의 대외활동, 공모전, 장학금에 대한 효율적인 정보 수집을 위한 웹 크롤러 서비스 방식을 제안한다. 제안된 웹 크롤러 서비스는 빠른 속도로 크롤링하면서 중복해서 크롤링되는 문제를 회피하기 위하여 Jsoup 트리 분석과 Json 형식의 데이터 전송 방식을 이용하였다. 24시간 동안 관련 정보를 수집한 결과 100%의 정확도로 웹 크롤러 서비스가 실행되고 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 향후 제안된 웹 크롤러 서비스를 적용할 수 있는 웹 페이지 범위를 확대하여 다양한 웹 사이트에 동시에 적용할 수 있도록 개선하면 웹 크롤러 서비스의 양적 내용을 보충할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

우리나라는 급속도로 고령사회에 진입하면서, 성인학습자들을 대상으로 사이버대학에서의 교육이 필요한 시점에 와 있다. 성인학습자들에 대한 교육은 평생교육관점에서 중요한 시사점을 가진다. 본 연구는 사이버대학 재학 성인학습자사례분석결과, 경제적 부담, 학습시간 부족, 디지털 리터러시 문제, 고립감, 상호작용 미비 등이 학업지속을 방해하는 장애요인으로 나타났다. 장학금제도는 상당히 등록금 부담을 완화시키는 요인으로 나타났다. 한편 사이버대학 재학생이 느끼는 고립감과 온라인상의 상호작용 부족문제는 오프라인특강 활성화로 완화가능하며, 성인학습자를 위한 컴퓨터사전 교육이 디지털 리터러시 문제를 해결하는데 기여할 것으로 판단된다. 본 연구의 의의는 외국의 온라인교육 중도탈락 연구들에서 중요한 변인으로 나타나지 않았던 경제적 부담과 학습시간부족이 우리 경우에는 중요하게 나타난 점이다.

본 연구는 미국의 연구중심 대학도서관에서 최근 증가하고 있는 디지털 인문학(Digital Humanities: DH) 연구지원 가이드 서비스를 각 기관의 웹사이트에서 제공되는 내용을 중심으로 조사하고, 현황을 분석하였다. 2018-2019년도 연구도서관협회(Association of Research Libraries: ARL) 통계를 기준으로 북미에서 가장 많은 양의 책을 보유한 연구중심 대학도서관의 순위를 근거로 DH 연구지원 가이드 서비스를 제공하고 있는 30개 기관의 서비스 내용을 분석하였다. 분석은 선행연구에서 제시된 서비스의 구성요소 8가지의 기준, (1) 도구 및 기술, (2) 펀딩, (3) 커뮤니티, (4) 교수법, (5) 프로젝트, (6) 정보원, (7) 출판 및 상담, (8) 워크숍 및 훈련 등으로 하였다. 분석 결과, DH 연구지원 가이드 서비스를 운영하는 기관 중 대다수는 'DH 정보원'을 제공하고 있고, 절반 이상의 기관에서 'DH 도구 및 기술'과 'DH 커뮤니티' 관련 정보 제공 서비스를 하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 대부분의 기관은 DH 출판 및 프로젝트의 상담을 위해 도서관 자체적, 도서관과 교내 연구소 및 센터, 또는 기타 학과와 연계하는 방식으로 DH 연구지원 가이드 서비스를 운영하며, 도서관 실무진 및 연구 전문 인력이 협력하여 컨설팅을 통한 연구지원 가이드 서비스에 초점을 맞추고 있음을 확인할 수 있다. 향후 국내 도서관의 DH 연구지원 가이드의 서비스 운영 방안과 서비스 담당자의 역량에 대한 논의가 지속되어야 할 것이다.
