Development of Test Method for Flat Panel Display Life Time Prediction during Atmospheric Particle Exposure (평판디스플레이의 대기중 분진농도에 따른 수명예측 시험방법 개발)

  • The electronic device, such as flat panel display (FPD), is very important in our life as a means of communication between humans. Liquid crystal display (LCD), which is categorized as a flat panel display, has been used in many display products, especially in TV industry. An LED TV is composed of several electrical components, such as liquid critical module (LCM), analog to digital convertor (AD), power supplier, and inverter board. These modules are very vulnerable to particulate contamination, and causing malfunction or visibility degradation. In this study, we developed a test method for prediction of LCM's lifetime. The test system consists of carbon particle generation flame, dilution system, test chamber, and particle concentration monitoring instrument. Since the carbon particles are the most abundant in the atmosphere and easily absorb light, soot particles are used as a challenging material for this test. The concentration of generated soot particles is set around 4,000,000 #/cc, which is 400 times higher than that of usual atmospheric particles. Through this experiment, we deduced the relationship between the dust concentration and life time of the test specimen.

How sWOM Contribution Motivations Vary by Cosmetics and Restaurants in Vietnam

  • The purpose of this study is to shed light on the driving motivations of contributing social word of mouth on social networking sites (sWOM) toward both tangible and intangible products. In order to develop a research model, this study adopts the motivation theory and TAM model. Data was collected from 904 members of the cosmetic and restaurant communities by using the snowball method. After assessing the validity of all constructs, the structural equation modeling (SEM) is used to test the proposed hypotheses. Results show that personal motivations (satisfaction, opinion leadership, self-enhancement, and economic incentives) and characteristics of sWOM (Perceived Usefulness and Ease of Use) have positive effect on exposure and engagement behaviors. Here are our specific findings, (1) customer satisfaction positively affects online interactions on SNSs such as Like or Sharing a content; (2) sWOM contribution behavior exists in two structures (Exposure and Engagement) and affects each other; (3) This study combines two groups of personal motivation and TAM to conceptualize a research model; and (4) The motivations of contributing sWOM between a specified service and product are rather similar. These findings help digital managers to understand consumers' behavioral contributions on SNSs and also provide interesting insights for marketers.

  • Wireless communication systems are inevitable for efficient underwater activities. Because of the poor propagation characteristics of light and electromagnetic waves, acoustic waves are generally used for the underwater wireless communication. Although there are many kinds of information type, visual images take an essential role especially for search and identification activities. For this reason, we developed an acoustic-based underwater image transmission system under a dual use technology project supported by MOCIE (Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy). For the application to complicated and time-varying underwater environments all-digital transmitter and receiver systems are investigated. Array acoustic transducers are used at the receiver, which have the center frequency of 32kHz and the bandwidth of 4kHz. To improve transmission speed and quality, various algorithms and systems are used. The system design techniques will be discussed in detail including image compression/ decompression system, adaptive beam- forming, fast RLS adaptive equalizer, ${\partial}/4$ QPSK (Quadrilateral Phase Shift Keying) modulator/demodulator, and convolution coding/ Viterbi.   • In the Fourth Industrial Revolution era, with its accelerating radical changes and innovation, fashion is rapidly advancing to sustain social changes introduced by technological convergence. In light of this, the study investigates the social and cultural characteristics of technologizing fashion products: creative modifications emerge from technological convergence with fashion products and result in a realm separate from technology. By focusing on the nature of fashion, this study analyzes the technologization of fashion products for added value creation in the fashion system. Based on the findings, it interprets different attitudes toward technologizing that changes fashion products. Accordingly, this study reviews previous literature and qualitatively examines empirical cases based on inductive reasoning. In particular, it analyzes commercialized cases of fashion-technology convergence in fashion products found on online fashion media outlets between January 2007 and May 2021, a central period in intellectual and technological innovation. The characteristics of technologized fashion products are identified as follows: expansion of physical functions and categories, interaction with emotional sensibilities, artistry through combination with technologies, and computer-generated imagery(CGI) fashion as digital goods. Therefore, this study analyzes the characteristics of technologization, focusing on the social and cultural properties of fashion products. The findings provide opportunities to understand the paradigm shift of these products that was catalyzed by technologizing.

  • Plant factory was started in Europe in the 1960. Thanks to the development of seeds science, nutrient study, environment control technology and automated systems, it has developed into the form of full artificial light system. In recent years, productivity of plant factory has increased with the convergence of ICT. An interest in plant factory has increased with several outstanding achievements. However, the plant factory industry is still stuck at an introductory stage and government investment has been reduced. In order to verify the feasibility of the plant factory, we conducted a survey targeting experts in politics, R&D and business field. We analyze the feasibility of investment in plant factory and strategies to enhance the competitiveness of plant factory.

  • Currently, every person possesses a smart phone due to the development of the IT industry. There is an improper situation in which a smart phone is not set in silent mode, such as a lecture room, a library, and a theatre hall. The proposed system automatically automates the function of smart phones where they are designated as a public place or etiquette area and automatically return the function of the smartphone if they deviate from the location of the site. It is also equipped with a combination of autonomous devices and services, based on Bluetooth communications, which are applied to ultra-light low-power IoT(Internet of Things) devices, and has features that allow diverse types of features and services to be added without requiring deformation of the hardware.

Evaluation of Environmental Contamination and Disinfection Effects in Patient Rooms with Carbapenem-Resistant Enterobacteriaceae Using ATP Measurements and Microbial Cultures (ATP 측정과 미생물 배양검사를 이용한 카바페넴내성장내세균 보유환자 병실 환경 오염 및 환경 소독 효과 평가)

  • Purpose: To determine the extent of environmental contamination and the effect of disinfection around patients with carbapenem-resistant Enterobacteriaceae (CRE) using adenosine triphosphate (ATP) measurements and microbial culture tests. Methods: The subjects of this study were 10 patients hospitalized in a single room due to CRE from April 13 to 21, 2021. One hundred and sixty samples were collected using cotton swabs from the patients' environment including the surface and drain of sinks and toilet seats before and after disinfection of the room after discharge. Twenty-one samples were collected from the nurses' personal digital assistants (PDAs), keyboards, and computer mice before disinfection. The relative light units (RLUs) and CRE colony-forming units (CFU) of 181 samples were measured using ATP test equipment and chrome agar plates, respectively. Results: The highest RLUs were measured at the sink drains before and after disinfection. Four CRE samples from the sink drains (2), sink surface (1), and toilet bowl (1) before disinfection were cultured. Based on the failure criteria (≥ 250 RLU/cm2 and ≥ 1 CFU/100 cm2), 90 % and 50 % of the samples from the drain exceeded the failure criteria before and after disinfection, respectively. In the culture tests, CRE was not detected after disinfection. Conclusion: According to the RLU and CFU measurements of drain samples, disinfection was not effective. Thus, improvements in the disinfection methods of drains, as well as more efficient and systematic environmental decontamination and disinfection evaluation tools, are needed to accurately evaluate the effectiveness of disinfection in various places.

  • As greenhouse gas emissions have been increasing in the world, global warming is being recognized as a cause of the global problems like climate change. This is closely associated the fossil fuels. Thus renewable energy has been brought to the attention of many people as the upcoming alternative energy source to cope with the fossil drain and increased environmental regulations. Especially, the solar energy among renewable energy has drastically increased. In this study, we calculate on daylight ratio about the solar energy for buildings based on digital surface model. The digital surface model was made using the spatial information data. And it was simulated the shadow analysis using SAS. Therefore, it was suitable places to utilize the solar energy in the Gyeongsan city. Consequently, the daylight ratio was considered important factor to select region of the industry of the solar light power generation.

The Study on Cooperative Roles between K-Pop and Applied Music (K-Pop과 실용음악의 상호보완적 역할에 관한 연구)

  • The success of K-Pop music industry continues as there is a new light shedding on the new Korean wave. There is a continuous discussion about the sustainability of the idol's dance music because of its limit in the uniform genre. As a solution to improve the quality of K-pop music, researchers said to supplement it through the change of educational system in the applied music. However, research into how much the education of applied music is contributing to the continuous success of the K-Pop music industry and how each industry is affecting each other was inadequate. Therefore, this study will understand the association between the K-Pop and the applied music, and look into ways that can act as a mutual supplementation for both fields. Subjects of analysis included performing artists, composers, arrangers, lyricists, and singers for songs within the top 100 of the digital total ranking for the past three years in the Gaon chart which is the official music chart for Korea. Then, the study apprehended how many of those subject had relations with the applied music and their activity frequency. As a result, there were a considerable number of K-Pop performers, at 41.74%, who also majored in the applied music. To continue to tendency of Korean wave and develop the Korean popular music, this study will explore roles each industry should cooperate in the future. There were the formation of social atmosphere for increase of consumer's needs to diverse K-pop music and change of education for training its human resources that K-pop industry demand.

The Spatial Composition for Animation Competency Education -By Focusing on the Studio Environment and Spatial Composition of Walt Disney (애니메이션 분야 역량기반 교육을 위한 공간구성 -Walt Disney스튜디오 작업환경과 공간구성 사례를 중심으로)

  • The practical learning requires the new paradigm in its content of education and environment along with the rapid development of information communication technology and the expansion of digital content industry. Especially, the animation education, core area of digital content industry, has attempted to improve the content and method of education by focusing on creativity, convergence and practical education. However, education environment in the previous form of computer laboratory has not been reflected the characteristics of animation education. In the light of this, this research would suggests the effective education environment implemented animation job competency and the characteristics of animation production. Firstly, the problem of previous educational environment will be explored through looking at computer rooms of domestic Universities. The characteristics of animation production consisted of Pre-production, Main-production, Post-production and elements of animation job competency will be reviewed by focusing on three phases of production, Pre-production, Main-production and Post-production, and six particular jobs, concept art, modeling & texturing, animating, lighting, VFX and compositing. Secondly, 6 types of space adapted from space syntax, possibly explored the embedded meaning of the structure of space and environment, will be reviewed by focusing on integration, separation and interaction. Thirdly, based on the characteristics of animation production, the element of animation job competency, 6 types of space, analytical tools about animation project education will be deducted, and the case study regarding animation studio, Walt Disney studio, will be processed by focusing on its production environment and spatial composition by focusing on Pre-production, Main-production, Post-production. Fifthly, the effective spatial composition for animation project education will be explored based on the interpretation of literature reviews and case study. In regard to this, the research addresses the spatial composition reflected the characteristics of practical learning and job competency in animation education, which differs from the previous form of standardized education spaces.
