Implementation of a Full Field Digital Mammography (디지털 유방X-선촬영기의 구현)

  • The technologies of image acquisition, display, and storage of the breast have been developed in their specialized fields in recent years. The image acquisition system is a device that absorbs and stores images after examining breast tissue using X-ray. Due to the specificity and sensitivity of imaging, the early detection of breast cancer is feasible. In this paper, the current technologies for digital mammography are reviewed, and we propose a digital mammography and evaluate the performance of the implemented system.

  • Video Content owners seek to squeeze the maximum amount of revenue from their assets via distribution into more territories. Digital Cinema Package(DCP), trusted solution to distribute protected content to theaters, caters to relatively small user base, which limits revenue. With the growth of the Internet & other digital media, the economics of media content has changed dramatically. Security remains main concern to deliver content to millions of consumers using intelligent digital display devices like Tablets, Smartphones, Smart TVs, Desktop & Laptop. By making the video content available to this segment securely, content owners will benefit from increased revenue. Through this paper we propose Open Source HomeDCP model to distribute the content to home users for offline viewing. We propose to include other open source CODEC than JPEG2000/MPEG2, which are specifically designed for theatrical performance. Final image size will be further reduced considering the display device resolution where video will be finally played. Key Delivery Message(KDM) system to be altered to suit new devices. This will be a big boost to Content Economy as content owners would be able to distribute the content securely to the wider audience & ensure more revenue.

  • Forensic Marking is the technology that enables the service providers (SP) to identify the illegal digital contents distributors by first inserting markings (data indicating the user information and playback time) in realtime into the digital contents at time of playback of digital contents, and then later by extracting inserted markings from the contents which are illegally captured from the multimedia device such as IPTV STBs and distributed over the Internet. Digital Rights Management (DRM), which is a very popular content protection technology, has the security hole that can be vulnerable because the encrypted digital contents are transformed into their original plaintext forms after the decrypting process on the STBs. Therefore Forensic Marking (FM) has now become a companion content protection solution to DRM. This article describes a new way of tracking up to 4 illegal content users in FM implementation using the blue-difference chroma component of YCbCr color space. This FM technology has many advantages like fast processing time and easy portability to STB devices compared to that of the traditional watermarking processing in the frequency domain.

  • In this study, we introduce trends in and the future of digital personal assistants. Recently, digital personal assistants have begun to handle many tasks like humans by communicating with users in human language on smart devices such as smart phones, smart speakers, and smart cars. Their capabilities range from simple voice commands and chitchat to complex tasks such as device control, reservation, ordering, and scheduling. The digital personal assistants of the future will certainly speak like a person, have a person-like personality, see, hear, and analyze situations like a person, and become more human. Dialogue processing technology that makes them more human-like has developed into an end-to-end learning model based on deep neural networks in recent years. In addition, language models pre-trained from a large corpus make dialogue processing more natural and better understood. Advances in artificial intelligence such as dialogue processing technology will enable digital personal assistants to serve with more familiar and better performance in various areas.

  • Busan Metropolitan City runs Community Health Center which aims to health care service based on the community, besides the established health medical service towards people with low-income. 71 centers are run in 2021, therefore, this papear explores the way of digital transition of these centers. Digital Technologies possibly adopted inside the centers are: First, smart devices to advance the management system of chronical diseases based on health index; Second, IoT with mobile tech to manage health index; Third, AI Robot to care lone elderly people and to warn the emergency.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the methodology for applying digital twin technology to pumping station, identify the factors to be determined at each stage, and present its applicability. When analyzing the requirements for developing a digital twin for pumping station, they were categorized into service requirements, IoT device requirements, and gateway requirements, with a total of 39 requirements established. In system design, it was structured according to the principles of modularity, abstraction, stepwise decomposition, and information hiding, allowing the implementation of planned items for diagnosis and operational management. There are difficulties in setting communication-related protocols and applying them in the field due to the complexity of overseeing the entire system with data. Therefore, it is necessary to clarify the purpose of the system, and there are challenges in identifying the characteristics of individual facilities, such as pumps in pumping station, and fully incorporating them into the system process. Thus, the framework of the initial design is crucial for implementing a digital twin.

  • To handle the high level radioactive materials such a spent fuel, the master-slave manipulators (MSM) are widely used as a remote handling device in nuclear facilities such as the hot cell with sealed and shielded space. In this paper, the Digital Mockup which simulates the remote operation of the Advanced Conditioning Process(ACP) is developed. Also, the workspace and the motion of the slave manipulator, as well as, the remote operation task should be analyzed. The process equipment of ACP and Maintenance/Handling Device are drawn in 3D CAD models using IGRIP. Modeling device of manipulator is assigned with various mobile attributes such as a relative position, kinematics constraints, and a range of mobility, The 3D graphic simulator using the external input device of space ball displays the movement of manipulator. To connect the external input device to the graphic simulator, the interface program of external input device with 6 DOF is deigned using the Low Level Tele-operation Interface(LLTI). The experimental result shows that the developed simulation system gives much-improved human interface characteristics and shows satisfactory response characteristics in terms of synchronization speed. This should be useful for the development of work's education system in the virtual environment.

  • Micro-fluidics is one of the major technologies used in developing micro-total analytical systems (${\mu}$-TAS), also known as “lab-on-a-chip”. With this technology, the analytical capabilities of room-size laboratories can be put on one small chip. In this paper, we will briefly introduce materials that can be used in micro-fluidic systems and a few modules (mixer, chamber, and sample prep. modules) for lab-on-a-chip to analyze biological samples. This is because a variety of fields have to be combined with micro-fluidic technologies in order to realize lab-on-a-chip.

  • This paper shows the more improved design of MRI receiver compared to conventional one based on Elscint Spectrometer. At first, the low-cost ADC is 16 bits, 3MHz sampling A/D converter Comparing to conventional one with signal bits of 14 bits, this device with those of 16 bits helps getting Improved the image resolution improved. If frequency is designed centering around 7.6 MHz to be satisfied in 10 MHz of maximum input bandwidth of ADC. For 1st demodulation, fixed IF is used for the purpose of the implementing multi nuclei system. Control parts & partial digital parts are integrated on one chip(FPGA). In DDC(Digital Down Converter), we got required bandwidth of LPF by controlling its decimation rate. With above considerations, we designed optimal receiver for high resolution imaging to be implemented through PC interface & experimental test of receiver of MRI after receiver's fabrication.
