  • In the 21st century, it may be possible to offer comprehensive service by integrating all communication media under the development of digital technology without the classification of broadcasting and communication. In addition, it will be begun to perform HDTV broadcasting by focusing on the Metropolitan area in 2001yr and will permit over 100 channels for satellite communication, thus multi-channel TV broadcasting age has come in Korea. Therefore, this study is to identify the future environment of TV broadcasting and service area in ISDB age and to present new interactive type publication satellite TV transmission system, which provides customizing type digital screen book publication by analyzing satellite broadcasting technology to create Korean cultural area around the Korean peninsula.

  • Communication as a process of interpreting signs has always existed in people's life. In post-information society, the communication between a person and a technological system through the specific sign-attaching process becomes widespread. Moreover, it somehow replaces usual communication between people. One of the means of communication in the digital space are video games. They not only play an important role in communication processes, but also are a special case of sign-creating and interpreting. The purpose of the article is to examine video games as a space of sign-based communication between a person and a game as a specific digital system. With the help of general scientific and hermeneutic methodology, the analysis of video games as a post-information society phenomenon which people communicate to has been conducted. The process of semiosis as attaching special meanings to signs has been traced in both manipulating in-game objects and characters and understanding rules of an in-game world.

  • The advent of the "un-tact 2.0 era," described as a "new normal non-face-to-face social relationship," accelerates the transformation of the living paradigm as a fully digital mediated social relationship. The emergence of these new forms of digital behaviors and mediated relationships significantly influences the industry prospect and consumers' individual lives. Advertising has played a decisive role in moving the formation forces of society, creating a dynamic flow of the capitalist system across races and geographical boundaries. Its role will become more fundamental in the physical contactless environment due to the COVID-19 outbreak. Accordingly, advertising has changed and modified its shape and meaning throughout history to adapt to the dynamic external environment. In this article, we illustrated four primary stages of the evolution in the advertising industry from simple advertising to convergence of advertising. Finally, we also identified the challenges of the present advertising industry and the paradigm transformation of "un-tact 2.0" with various related examples.

  • Our platform introduced in this paper is based on DAVIC specifications which define high quality multimedia services with some extensions to provide user friendly and uniform interface to its users. We designed and implemented an integrated service platform for high quality interactive multimedia services, swithed digital broadcasting, and Internet services. The integration in terms of a service provider system, a delivery system, and a service user system is taken into account. Our research results in the development of integrated high quality interactive and digital broadcasting multimedia services with web-based common user interface and its experience will be feedback to the field trial service which will be launched from next year.

  • 본 논문에서는 MPEG-21 Digital Item Adaptation(DIA)에 의한 워터마크 신호의 영향을 실험하고 분석한다. MPEG-21 DIA에서는 다양한 소비환경에 맞게 멀티미디어 컨텐츠를 변할 수 있는 기능들을 제공하고 있다. 그러나 컨텐츠 변환기능들은 저작권 보호를 위해 컨텐츠에 삽입된 워터마크신호를 홰손시킬 수 있으므로, DIA 환경에서 워터마킹기술을 사용하기 위해서는 워터마킹기술에 대한 DIA의 영향을 분석할 필요가 있다. 본 논문에서는 일반적으로 널리 알려진 대표적인 워터마킹기술을 이용하여 MPEG-21 DIA에서 정의하고 있는 각각의 적응변환기능에 대한 워터마크의 강인성을 실험하여, 그 결과를 바탕으로 DIA 환경에서 워터마킹기술을 적용할 때 필요한 요구사항을 분석하였다.

  • In the distribution system, Change of system happens frequently. However, most of the relays are operated manually by a person or not changed when system changed. So, when fault happened, a case that relaydoes not act rapidly happens. Also, in current power system, digital relays are used because of digitization of relay. Digital relay has very many advantages than existing analog relay. One of these advantages is that communication is available and easily can make characteristic curve. If specific values are sent to a relay by communication, A relay can make suitable characteristic curve according to the value. In this paper, by using voltages and currents measured by relay, state of CB(Circuit Breaker) and these relays, SCADA(Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition) system that control and correct characteristic curve of overcurrent relay at system change by using HMI(Human Machine Interface) is proposed.

디지털전관방송을 위한 통합믹서컨트롤러 개발 (Development of Integrated Mixer Controller for Digital Public Address)

  • 최근 IT기술의 발전을 근간으로 PA시스템에 IT기술이 접목된 혁신적인 제품들이 개발되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 디지털 전관방송을 위한 통합 믹서 컨트롤러를 제안하였다. 기존 디지털 전관방송을 구성하는 디지털믹서와 디지털 통합 컨트롤러의 기능을 포함한 통합믹서컨트롤러를 개발하였다. 개발된 통합믹서컨트롤러는 16개의 오디오입력채널과 8개의 출력채널을 가진 다채널 믹서 기능을 가진다. 그리고, 디지털오디오신호를 처리하기 위한 EQ, Matrix, Limiter을 가지고 있다. 또한, 개발된 컨트롤러는 믹서의 동작상태 모니터링과 전체 PA시스템을 제어하기 위한 인터넷 연결기능을 가진다.

향상된 신호 추정을 위한 안테나 오차 보정 과 수정된 최적 가중치를 이용한 디지털 빔 형성 성능 분석에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Performance Digital Beamforming using Antenna Error Correction and Modified Optimum Weight for Improved Signal Estimation)

  • Method a target estimation in spatial are mobile wireless communication using network cell and GPS. It have much error that mobile wireless communication depend on cell size. GPS method can't find a target in shadow and inner area. In this paper, we estimate a target as direction of arrival method using adaptive array antenna system. Adaptive array antenna system can obtain desired signal to remove other signal This paper studied digital beamforming method in order to estimation a target. Proposed method is modified optimum weight and antenna error correction to estimation an optimal receive signal. Digital beamforming method decided a signal phase and amplitude from received signal on array antenna element. But if it is not to do error correction of received signal, system performance have decreased. Firstly, we proposed modified optimum weight in order to finding desired target. Secondly, we are error correction of antenna incident signals by optimal weight before digital beamforming method. Thirdly, throughly simulation, we showed that system performance of proposed method compare proposal method with general method. It have improved resolution of estimation target to good performance more proposed method than general method.

  • 정보화 사회에서 디지털이라는 단어와 결합된 컨버전스는 정보통신 분야의 단위기술들의 융합을 통해 등장하는 새로운 제품이나 서비스를 일컫고 있다. 이러한 컨버전스 기술의 파급효과 및 컨버전스 사회의 현상들은 이미 경제, 사회, 문화등 사회의 전 부분에서 가시화되고 있다. 최근 제조생산 현장은 디지털 정보화, 전역 통합화를 통해서 생산 고도화를 향한 새로운 변화에 직면해 있다. 본 논문은 현재 진행 중인 생산정보화 시스템의 구성 및 이슈를 기술하고, MES에서 접근하고 있는 클라우드 서비스 시스템을 구축하기 위한 주요한 이슈 및 해결 요소들을 제시한다. 또한 최적화된 생산 흐름과 소비 시장에 적절히 반응하는 제조생산 정보화시스템을 구축하기 위한 방안을 제안한다.

FPGA Implementation of SC-FDE Timing Synchronization Algorithm

  • The single carrier frequency domain equalization (SC-FDE) technology is an important part of the broadband wireless access communication system, which can effectively combat the frequency selective fading in the wireless channel. In SC-FDE communication system, the accuracy of timing synchronization directly affects the performance of the SC-FDE system. In this paper, on the basis of Schmidl timing synchronization algorithm a timing synchronization algorithm suitable for FPGA (field programmable gate array) implementation is proposed. In the FPGA implementation of the timing synchronization algorithm, the sliding window accumulation, quantization processing and amplitude reduction techniques are adopted to reduce the complexity in the implementation of FPGA. The simulation results show that the algorithm can effectively realize the timing synchronization function under the condition of reducing computational complexity and hardware overhead.
