  • Lively circulation of digital contents through internet digital contents copyright information for contents at the same time protectingness express and had many interests managing. XrML(eXtensible rights Markup Language) that is application of XML(eXtensible Markup Language) to permit efficient present and storage of copyright information for digital contents, share hereupon established by each venders laying stress on W3C. Need system that could express copyright information for digital contents in structural language by creation of this XrML document and user who use structural information of XrML to make out XrML document effectively can edit efficiently. So that user can edit XrML document that can describe about copyright or working conditions for digital contents in treatise that see hereupon efficiently, XrML text editing system for digital contents copyright administration design and embody.

A Study on Generation and Parsing System for MPEG-21 Broadcasting Digital Item (MPEG-21 방송 디지털 아이템을 위한 생성 및 파싱 시스템에 대한 연구)

  • Today, thanks to the spread of Internet and the development of various multimedia technologies, broadcasting environment is changing in a way to merging broadcasting and communication environment. In such a new environment, transparent delivery and interoperability between different technologies become an important issue. In ISO/IEC MPEG meeting, MPEG-21 has been established. In MPEG-21, it is discussed actively about big picture to build an infrastructure for the delivery and consumption of multimedia contents. In this paper, we have applied Digital Item in MPEG-21 to broadcasting contents. Broadcasting Digital Item is generated using MPEG-7 MDS for the description of resources as well as Digital Item Declaration, and Digital Item Identification. Furthermore, we develop Digital Item generation system and parsing system. In experiment, we verify the usefulness of Broadcasting Digital Item by generating an education video contents and consuming it at different user environments.

  • The usage increase of digital contents required solution for protection technology and interoperability of system. MPEG(Moving Picture Experts Group) proposed MPEG-21 Multimedia Frameworks. MPEG-21 IPMP is standard that provides the means to enable digital item and rights information to be persistently managed and protected across networks and devices. In this paper, MPEG-21 IPMP based system to protect digital contents designed by four structures of license server, production server, consumption server, tool server. License server create rights information document using the XML-based REL about multimedia contents of users. Production server makes a digital item by packaging multimedia resource and metadata, which is combined by REL information and IPMP information of multimedia resource. Consumption server takes care of the functions of players that use digital item, and tool server was implement to transmit for missing tool that might occur in all procedures.

  • In this work, the digital simulator for testing of digital protective relay is presented. The proposed simulator software has EMTP simulation data file conversion, sequence waveform generation, user define simulation data generation, communication engine, data analysis engine and measurements function etc. The simulator hardware is designed using 32bit floating point DSP architecture to achieve flexibility and high speed operation. This simulator is tested to evaluate the performance of relay simulator by using a output data of simulation model on EMTP.

  • The digital signal has been replaced the analog signal in most of every field of multimedia including still image, animation, and audio due to the enormous extension of computer supply and the fast development of computer network. The consumers of information are able to enjoy the abundance of information because of one of the digital signal traits that very easy to regenerate the original data. Because of the trait, however, it is very hard for the producers of information to keep the copyright with the merit of original copy in quality excellency. In this paper, the watermarking technology which inserts a RGB color watermark in color image using the visual characteristics of wavelet coefficient was proposed. As a result, the PSNR value of image was varied depending on perceptual parameter, but we can obtain 32dB as a whole.

The Digital Controller Design using Multirate Discretization (멀티레이트 이산화를 이용한 디지털 제어기 설계)

  • A common way to design a digital control system is to design an analog controller first and discretize it for digital implemention. In this paper, optimal digital controller design is studied within the framework of sampled -data control theory. In particular, multirate discretization of analog controller is considered using an Η$_2$optimality criterion. Solutions are obtained via multirate H2 optimization with a causality constraint due to the multirate structure. In design example, the comparison of the proposed methods is made with the conventional discretization methods, and demonstrate the superiority of the multirate design method.

  • In this paper, we propose the receiver algorithms suitable for the VHF (Very High Frequency) digital link mode-2(VDL Mode-2) system. Unlike conventional digital communication systems using the root raised cosine filter as a transmit and receive filter, raised cosine filter is used as a transmit filter in the VDL Mode-2 system. Hence, it is crucial to design and implement the optimum lowpass receive filter by considering inter-symbol interference and noise performance. On the other hand, due to the short preamble pattern, it is crucial to develop an efficient packet detection algorithm for reliable communication link for the VDL Mode-2 system. Also, frequency offset due to the carrier frequency difference between transmitter and receiver and doppler frequency shift must be estimated and compensated for reliable communication. In this paper, the optimum receive filter, packet detection and frequency offset compensation algorithms are proposed and the performance of the VDL system employing the proposed algorithms are evaluated.
