Digital Watermarking on Image for View-point Change and Malicious Attacks (영상의 시점변화와 악의적 공격에 대한 디지털 워터마킹)

  • This paper deals with digital watermarking methods to protect ownership of image with targeting the ultra-high multi-view or free-view image service in which an arbitrary viewpoint image should be rendered at the user side. The main purpose of it is not to propose a superior method to the previous methods but to show how difficult to construct a watermarking scheme to overcome the viewpoint translation attack. Therefore we target the images with various attacks including viewpoint translation. This paper first shows how high the error rate of the extracted watermark data from viewpoint-translated image by basic schemes of the method using 2DDCT(2D discrete cosine transform) and the one using 2DDWT(2D discrete wavelet transform), which are for 2D image. Because the difficulty in watermarking for the viewpoint-translated image comes from the fact that we don't know the translated viewpoint, we propose a scheme to find the translated viewpoint, which uses the image and the corresponding depth information at the original viewpoint. This method is used to construct the two non-blind watermarking methods to be proposed. They are used to show that recovery of the viewpoint affect a great deal of the error rate of the extracted watermark. Also by comparing the performances of the proposed methods and the previous ones, we show that the proposed ones are better in invisibility and robustness, even if they are non-blind.

To deal with these problems, the concept of digital fingerprinting has been introduced. Digital fingerprinting is an effective method to identify users who might try to redistribute multimedia content.   • As the usage of the Internet grows and digital media become more diversified, it has become much easier for digital contents to be distributed and shared. This makes easier to access the desired digital contents. On the other hand, there is an increasing need to protect the copyright of digital works. There are some prevalent ways to protect ownership, but they accompany several disadvantages. Among those ways, watermarking methods have the advantage of ensuring invisibility, but they also have a disadvantage that they are vulnerable to external attacks such as a noise and signal processing. In this paper, we propose the detecting method of illegal contents that is robust against external attacks to protect digital works. We extract HSV and LBP features from images and use Euclidian-based hashing techniques to shorten the searching time on high-dimensional and near-duplicate videos. According to the results, the proposed method showed higher detection rates than that of the Watermarking techniques in terms of the images with fabrications or deformations.

  • This paper proposes a new 3D image transmission technique using digital watermarking for compatibility with conventional 2D digital TV. To transmit 3D images effectively, generally, we use image sequence transmission using temporal-spatial redundancy between stereo images. It is difficult for users with conventional digital TV to watch the transmitted 3D image sequence because of effectivity of 3D image compression. To improve such problem, in this paper, we perceive the concealment of new information of digital watermarking and conceal information of the other stereo image into three channels of the reference image. So we can watch the image with 3D TV as well as conventional digital TV when it is decoded.

  • 최근 급속히 증가하고 있는 Digital Content의 생성과 활용으로 인해 인터넷 기반의 Digital Content 유통이 활성화 되고 있다. 하지만 URL의 한계와 Content의 불법복제 및 무단변형과 같은 역기능이 나타남으로써 양질의 콘텐트 생산 유통이 저해되고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 URN 기반의 DOI 식별체계와 Digital Content 보호를 위한 PKI 기반의 공개키 알고리즘, 그리고 콘텐트 제공자의 저작권을 보호하기 위한 Digital Watermarking과 DRM기술을 접목한 강인한 Digital Content 유통모델을 제안하고자 한다.

  • In this paper, proposed digital image watermarking technique with lifting wavelet transformation. This watermark technique can be easily extended in video content fields. Therefore, we apply this watermark technique to layered depth image structure that is efficient compression method of multi-view video with depth images. This application steps are very simple, because watermark is inserted only reference image. And watermarks of the other view images borrow from reference image. Each view image of multi-view video may be guaranteed authentication and copyright.

Digital watermarking using binary phase hologram and optical interferometer (이진 위상 홀로그램과 광학적 간섭계를 이용한 디지털 워터마킹)

  • We propose a new optical watermarking method, which can protect the copyright of digital data, using a binary phase hologram and a Mach-Zehnder interferometer. Using a simulated annealing algorithm, the binary phase hologram of the mark image to be hidden is designed. We obtained a watermarked image by linearly superposing the hologram, which is the watermark, in the original image. The extraction processing of the mark image from the watermarked image is achieved by placing the phase-modulated watermarked image on a LCD in one path and the phase-modulated original image on another LCD in the other path in the Mach-Zehnder interferometer. The mark image was obtained by inverse Fourier transforming the phase modulated interference intensity. We confirmed that the proposed method is robust for the cropped images through computer simulation, and we implemented it optically using LCDs which are phase modulation devices.

Digital Watermarking Using Color Difference (색차 정보를 이용한 디지털 워터마킹)

  • In this paper, we proposed the novel digital watermarking for color still image using the characteristics of human visual system and the distribution of DCT coefficients. We insert watermark signal in the chromatic components of YCrCb color space according the characteristics of the human visual system that chromatic component are less sensitive than achromatic components. In order to extract the watermark signal, we use the relationship among the DCT coefficients of watermarked image without using original one. Simulation results show that the proposed watermarking method is better quality on invisibility than the conventional methods.

  • This paper proposes a new Digital Watermarking based on Wavelet Transform for Color Images. To ensure the security of the watermark, enlarged watermark by applying linear bit expansion is inserted in a given intensity to a low frequency subband of the color image Y band which is Wavelet transformed after the Arnold Transformation. When detecting the presence of watermark, F norm function is applied unlike the existing methods. The experiment results verify that the proposed watermarking technique has outstanding quality in regards to fidelity and robustness.
