FACTS 보상 송전선의 동적 해석을 통한 송전선 보호 방안 개선 (Improvement of Line Protection Methods by Dynamic Analysis on a FACTS-compensated transmission line)

  • Dynamic analysis of a transmission line which is compensated by a FACTS device such as STATCOM, SSSC and UPFC is carried out in this paper and the impacts on conventional line protection methods such as the DCPM (Differential Current Protection Method) and the DPM (Distance Protection Method) are reviewed. A refined DCRM is proposed to detect faults properly regardless of the FACTS operation. The proposed method is applied to a FACTS-compensated line with a variety of faults and is verified by simulation results. An adaptive DPM on a FACTS-compensated line was proposed previously in the literature. In order to emphasize the necessity of the modified DPM, the conventional DPM is applied to a FACTS-compensated system. Significant factors such as fault types, fault locations, and fault resistances as well as FACTS device types are considered for relaying setting.

  • When any faults occurred in electrical railway system, operators need to analysis it quickly and accurately. Existing COMTRADE based analysis tools are not enough to analysis faults occurred in electrical railway system. In this paper, it presents some functions to fault analysis for electrical railway system based on fault data formatted COMTRADE. These functions are implemented in PSCAD/EMTDC and it can be shown that analyzed results against actual electrical fault cases which were occurred in the electrical railway power system.

  • 비밀 키가 내장된 암호 장치에 대한 오류 주입 공격은 공격자가 암호화 연산 시 오류를 주입하여 암호 시스템의 키를 찾아내는 공격이다. 이 공격은 AES와 같은 암호 시스템에서 한 바이트의 오류 주입으로도 비밀 키 전체를 찾아낼 수 있을 정도로 매우 위협적이다. 본 논문에서는 AES 암호 시스템에서 입 출력값의 차분을 검사하는 방법으로 오류 주입 공격을 방어하는 새로운 오류 검출 기법을 제안한다. 또한, 제안 방법이 기존의 공격 대응 방법들과 비교하여 오류 탐지 능력이 우수하고 구현에 필요한 추가적인 오버헤드가 적어 효율적임을 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 통해 확인하였다.

블록 암호 ARIA-128에 대한 차분 오류 공격 (Differential Fault Analysis on Block Cipher ARIA-128)

  • 차분 오류 공격(DFA)은 블록 암호의 안전성 분석에 널리 사용되는 부채널 공격 기법으로서, 대표적인 블록 암호인 DES, AES, ARIA, SEED 등에 적용되었다. 2008년 Wei 등은 ARIA-128에 대한 첫번째 DFA를 제안하였다. 이 공격은 평균 45개의 바이트 오류를 이용하여 128-비트 비밀키를 복구하였다. 본 논문에서는 Wei 등의 공격을 개선한 ARIA-128에 대한 DFA를 제안했다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 공격은 4개의 오류만을 이용하여 O($2^{32}$)의 계산 복잡도로 ARIA-128의 비밀키를 복구할 수 있다.

  • Percentage differential characteristic scheme has been recognized as the principal basis for large transformer protection. Nowadays, relaying signals can contain second harmonic component to a large extent even in a normal state, and second harmonic ratio indicates a tendency of relative reduction because of the advancement of transformer's core material. And then, conventional second harmonic restraint differential relaying exposes some doubt in reliability. It is, therefore, necessary to develop a new algorithm for the effective and accurate discrimination. This paper deals with advanced fuzzy logic based relaying by using flux differential, and a new fault detection criterion logic scheme by using wavelet transform. To comparative analysis of proposed techniques, the paper constructs power system model including power transformer, utilizing the EMTP, and collects data through simulation of various internal faults and magnetizing inrush. The proposed fuzzy relaying and a new fault detection scheme were tested. The former, fuzzy relaying, was proven to be faster and more reliable than the latter.

  • Power transformer is an important apparatus in transforming and delivering the power in a power system. It shows less accident ratio than other system apparatus, but once the accident occurs, it causes long-term operation stoppage and economic loss. It brings high bad spillover effects. Therefore, the role of protective relaying, which is to prevent internal fault a power transformer is highly important. This study proposed advanced algorithm that can clearly determine internal fault of the power transformer and magnetizing inrush, through numerical analysis by using the terminal voltage and input output current.

PRESENT-80/128에 대한 향상된 차분 오류 공격 (Improved Differential Fault Analysis on Block Cipher PRESENT-80/128)

  • 차분 오류 공격은 부채널 공격 기법 중 하나로 DES, AES, ARIA, SEED 등 대표적인 블록 암호 안전성 분석에 널리 사용되었다. PRESENT는 80/128-비트 비밀키를 사용하는 31-라운드 SPN 구조의 64-비트 블록 암호이다. 기제안된 PRESENT에 대한 차분 오류 공격들은 8~64개의 오류를 주입하여 80/128-비트 비밀키를 복구하였다. 본 논문에서는 이를 개선하여 PRESENT-80에 대해 2개의 오류를 주입하여 평균 1.7개의 비밀키를 남기고, PRESENT-128에 대해 3개의 오류를 주입하여 $2^{22.3}$개의 비밀키 후보를 구한다. 이 후 전수 조사를 통해 비밀키를 유일하게 복구한다. 이 공격은 기제안된 PRESENT의 차분 오류 공격보다 더 적은 수의 오류를 주입하여 효과적으로 비밀키를 복구한다.

발전기시스템의 고정자보호 IED를 위한 개선된 알고리즘 (Advanced Algorithm for IED of Stator Winding Protection of Generator System)

  • The large AC generator fault may lead to large impacts or perturbations in power system. The generator protection control systems in Korea have been imported and operated through a turn-key from overseas entirely. Therefore a study of the generator protection field has in urgent need for a stable operation of the imported goods. In present, the algorithm using the current ratio differential relaying based DFT for stator winding protection or a fault detection had been applied that of internal fault protection of a generator. the DFT used for the analysis of transient state signal conventionally had defects losing a time information in the course of transforming a target signal to frequency domain. In this paper, the discrete wavelet transform (DWT) was applied a fault detection of the generator being superior to a transient state signal analysis and being easy to real time realization. The fault signals after executing a terminal fault modeling collect using a MATLAB package, and calculate the wavelet coefficients through the process of a muiti-level decomposition (MLD). The proposed algorithm for a fault detection using the Daubechies WT (wavelet transform) was executed with a C language and the commend line function for the real time realization after analyzing MATLAB's graphical interface. The advanced technique had improved faster a speed of fault discrimination than a conventional DFR based on DFT.
