In this of study, effects of input air velocity(0.05~0.22 m/sec) and molten carbonate salt temperature ($870{\sim}970^{\circ}C$) on flow regime transition have been studied by adopting a drift-flux model of air holdup and a stochastic analysis of differential pressure fluctuations in an air-molten sodium carbonate salt two-phase system(molten salt oxidation process). Air holdup where the flow regime transition begins was determined by air holdup-drift flux plot. The air holdup value which the flow regime transition begins was increased with increasing molten carbonate salt temperature due to the decrease of viscosity and surface tension of molten carbonate salt. To characterize the flow regime transition more quantitatively, differential pressure fluctuation signals have been analyzed by adopting the stochastic method such as phase space portraits and Kolmogorov entropy, The Kolmogorov entropy decreased with an increasing of molten carbonate salt temperature but increased gradually with an increase in an air velocity, however, it exhibited different tendency with the flow regime and the air velocity value which flow regime transition begins was same to the results of drift-flux analysis.
Stability characteristics of hyperbolic reaction-diffusion equations with a reversible Brusselator model are investigated as an extension of the previous work. Intensive stability analysis is performed for three important parameters, Nrd, β and Dx, where Nrd is the reaction-diffusion number which is a measure of hyperbolicity, β is a measure of reversibility of autocatalytic reaction and Dx is a diffusion coefficient of intermediate X. Especially, the dependence on Nrd of stability exhibits some interesting features, such as hyperbolicity in the small Nrd region and parabolicity in the large Nrd region. The hyperbolic reaction-diffusion equations are solved numerically by a spectral method which is modified and adjusted to hyperbolic partial differential equations. The numerical method gives good accuracy and efficiency even in a stiff region in the case of small Nrd, and it can be extended to a two-dimensional system. Four types of solution, spatially homogeneous, spatially oscillatory, spatio-temporally oscillatory and chaotic can be obtained. Entropy productions for reaction are also calculated to get some crucial information related to the bifurcation of the system. At the bifurcation point, entropy production changes discontinuously and it shows that different structures of the system have different modes in the dissipative process required to maintain the structure of the system. But it appears that magnitude of entropy production in each structure give no important information related for states of system itself.

In this paper, a hagwon-bus boarding danger warning system based on computer vision is proposed to protect children from an accident causing injuries or death. Three zones are defined and different algorithms are applied to detect moving objects. In zone 1, a block-based entropy value is calculated using the absolute difference image generated by the absolute differential estimation between background image and incoming video frame. In zone 2, an effective and robust motion object tracking algorithm is performed based on the particle filter. Experimental results demonstrate the efficient and effectively of the algorithm for moving object inspection in each zone.
For this study we used a CCD video camera to capture the pavement image information via the computer. During investigation processing, the CCD video camera captured 10${\sim}$30 images per second. If the vehicle velocity is too fast, the collected images will be duplicated and if the velocity is too slow there will be a gapped between images. Therefore, in order to control the efficiency of the image grabber we should add accessory tools such as the Differential Global Positioning System (DGPS) and odometer. Furthermore, Kalman Filtering can also solve these problems. After the CCD video camera captured the pavement images, we used the Least-Squares method to eliminate images of gradation which have non-uniform surfaces due to the illumination at night. The Fuzzy Entropy method calculates images of threshold segments and creates binary images. Finally, the Object Labeling algorithm finds objects that are cracks or noises from the binary image based on volume pixels of the object. We used these algorithms and tested them, also providing some discussion and suggestions.

The Digital Video Broadcasting-Common Scrambling Algorithm is an ETSI-designated algorithm designed for protecting MPEG-2 signal streams, and it is universally used. Its structure is a typical hybrid symmetric cipher which contains stream part and block part within a symmetric cipher, although the entropy is 64 bits, there haven't any effective cryptanalytic results up to now. This paper studies the security level of CSA against impossible differential cryptanalysis, a 20-round impossible differential for the block cipher part is proposed and a flaw in the cipher structure is revealed. When we attack the block cipher part alone, to recover 16 bits of the initial key, the data complexity of the attack is O(244.5), computational complexity is O(222.7) and memory complexity is O(210.5) when we attack CSA-BC reduced to 21 rounds. According to the structure flaw, an attack on CSA with block cipher part reduced to 21 rounds is proposed, the computational complexity is O(221.7), data complexity is O(243.5) and memory complexity is O(210.5), we can recover 8 bits of the key accordingly. Taking both the block cipher part and stream cipher part of CSA into consideration, it is currently the best result on CSA which is accessible as far as we know.

Atrial fibrillation (AF) is the most common arrhythmia encountered in clinical practice, and its risk increases with age. Conventionally, the way of detecting AF was the time·frequency domain analysis of RR variability. However, the detection of ECG signal is difficult because of the low amplitude of the P wave and the corruption by the noise. Also, the time·frequency domain analysis of RR variability has disadvantage to get the details of irregular RR interval rhythm. In this study, we describe an atrial fibrillation pattern analysis based on symbolization and information entropy. We transformed RR interval data into symbolic sequence through differential partition, analyzed RR interval pattern, quantified the complexity through Shannon entropy and detected atrial fibrillation. The detection algorithm was tested using the threshold between 10ms and 100ms on two databases, namely the MIT-BIH Atrial Fibrillation Database.
Four polymorphic forms (I, II, III and IV) of hydrochlorothiazide have been characterized on the basis of x-ray diffractometry and differential thermal analysis. Form I was obtained by crystallization from N, N-dimethylformamide and Form II was crystallized from hot methanol. Form III was precipitated from sodium hydroxide aqueous solution by treatment with hydrochloric acid and Form IV was crystallized from 50% methanol. The metastable form I was a most stable form among four polymorphs, which was stable more than ten months at room temperature. The thermodynamic parameters such as heat of solution, enthalpy, entropy, free energy difference and transition temperature were determined by the measurement of intrinsic dissolution rate. The transition temperature and the heat of transition between the metastable Form I an Form II were determined to be $299.15^{\circ}$K and 5.03 Kcal/mole, respectively and free energy difference ($\delta$ F) was 302. 13 cal/mole. Diuretic action of these four polymorphic forms was also evaluated by monitoring the difference in urinary excretion of sodium, potassium and magnesium in rats.

Cryptography provides an effective solution to secure the communication over public networks. The communication over public networks that includes electronic commerce, business and military services, necessitates the requirement of simple and robust encryption techniques. In this paper, a novel image encryption method which employs calligraphy based hybrid scan and random number is presented. The original image is scrambled by pixel position permutation with calligraphy based diagonal and novel calligraphy based scan patterns. The cipher image is obtained by XORing the scrambled image with random numbers. The suggested method resists statistical, differential, entropy, and noise attacks which have been demonstrated with a set of standard images.
Lithium inserted into artificial carbon has been synthesized as a function of the Li concentration. The characteristics of these prepared compounds were determined from the studies using X-ray diffraction(XRD), solid nuclear magnetic resonance (NM R) spectrophotometric and differential scanning calorimeter(DSC) analysis. X-ray diffraction showed that lower stage intercalation compounds were formed with increasing Li concentration. In the case of the AG3, most compounds formed were of the stage 1 structure. Pure stage 1 structural defects of artificial graphite were not observed. 7Li-NMR data showed that bands are shifted toward higher frequencies with increasing lithium concentration; this is because non-occupied electron shells of Li increased in charge carrier density. Line widths of the Li inserted carbon compounds decreased slowly because of nonhomogeneous local magnetic order and the random electron spin direction for located Li between graphene layers. The enthalpy and entropy changes of the compounds can be obtained from the differential scanning calorimetric analysis results. From these results, it was found that exothermic and endothermic reactions of lithium inserted into artificial carbon are related to the thermal stability of lithium between artificial carbon graphene layers.

The thermal diffusivity of defatted and nondefatted starches were measured on the basis of one dimensional semi-infinitive theory. Differential scanning calorymetry was used to study the effects of cooling rate, fat and water contents on the enthalpy and entropy changes with the cooling rate of $-2.5{\sim}10^{\circ}C/min$. Thermal diffusivity of defatted and nondefatted straches were determined to be $4.14{\times}10^{-4}{\sim}4.96{\times}10^{-4}(m^2/h),\;4.09{\times}10^{-4}{\sim}4.81{\times}10^{-4}(m^2/h)$ in unfrozen state, and $2.78{\times}10^{-3}{\sim}3.91{\times}10^{-3}(m^2/h),\;2.26{\times}10^{-3}{\sim}3.57{\times}1-^{-3}(m^2/h)$ in frozen state respectively. On decreasing temperatures in frozen state, thermal diffusivities of starches were increased and entropy and enthalpy were decreased, and more rapid cooling rates resulted in a decrease in entropy. A linear relation was observed between enthropy, enthaly and water content. Thermal diffusivity was decreased, and entropy was increasing fat content. With water content ranging from 35 to 90%, enthalpy and entropy of straches were found to be $107{\sim}216 (kcal /moi),\;0.45{\sim}0.94(kcal/mol.\;K)$, respectively.
