A transformation methode of the chromaticity coordinates was proposed to calibrate the measured data obtained by a urine analysis system which implemented in our previous study. Generally. the reacted color of a reagent strip by urine analysis system often exhibit the color distortions due to nonlinear characteristics of the various devices that is the optic module mechanism. hardware, and surround circumstance. A color correction method for minimizing the color distortion play a few role in maintaining high accuracy and reproduction of the urine analysis system. In this work, we used the compensation method such as the shading correction, the characteristic curve extraction of RGB color by means of third order spline interpolation, and linear transformation using a reference color. In addition, 1931 CIE XYZ color space was used to compensate the color of the measured data by a standard reference system as colorimeter. A compensation matrix was obtained so that the output values of the urine analysis system is nearly equal to that of a standard reference system for identical color sample. Color correction obtained by a urine analysis system which implemented in our previous study exhibited a good color accuracy when it was compared with the reference data. Observed result from an experiments on ten items or a urinalysis strip that color difference or between two urine analysis system was 1.28.
This experiment simulated the fire driven flow of an underground station through parallel processing method. Fire analysis program FDS(Fire Dynamics Simulation), using LES(Large Eddy Simulation), has been used and a 6-node parallel cluster, each node with 3.0Ghz_2set installed, has been used for parallel computation. Simulation model was based on the Kwangju-geumnan subway station. Underground station, and the total time for simulation was set at 600s. First, the whole underground passage was divided to 1-Mesh and 8-Mesh in order to compare the parallel computation of a single CPU and Multi-CPU. With matrix numbers($15{\times}10^6$) more than what a single CPU can handle, fire driven flow from the center of the platform and the subway itself was analyzed. As a result, there seemed to be almost no difference between the single CPU's result and the Multi-CPU's ones. $3{\times}10^6$ grid point one employed to test the computing time with 2CPU and 7CPU computation were computable two times and fire times faster than 1CPU respectively. In this study it was confirmed that CPU could be overcome by using parallel computation.
Curing behavior and interfacial properties were evaluated using electrical resistance measurement and tensile/compressive fragmentation test. Electrical resistivity difference (${\Delta}R$) during curing process was not observed in a bare carbon fiber. On the other hand, ${\Delta}R$ appeared due to the matrix contraction in single-carbon fiber/epoxy composite. Logarithmic electrical resistivity of the untreated single-carbon fiber composite increased suddenly to the infinity when the fiber fracture occurred under tensile loading, whereas that of the ED composite reached relatively broadly up to the infinity. Comparing to the untreated case, interfacial shear strength (IFSS) of the ED treated composite increased significantly in both tensile fragmentation and compressive Broutman test. Microfailure modes of the untreated and the ED treated fiber composite showed the debonding and the cone shapes in tensile test, respectively. For compressive test, fractures of diagonal slippage were observed in both untreated and the ED treated composite. Sharp-end shape fractures exhibited in the untreated composite, whereas relatively dull fractures showed in the ED Heated composite. It is proved that ED treatments affected differently on the interfacial adhesion and microfailure mechanism under tensile/compressive tests.
In order to know the influence of mast cells on the mammary tumor development, the growth of the mammary carcinoma, the numerical changes and the morphological findings of mast cells appeared in the tumor were microscopically observed in the rat treated with DMBA and each chemical of histamine, heparin, pyrilamine or cimetidine. The results observed were summarized as follows: The tumor induction time that represented the number of days elapsing between the 3rd DMBA administration until a first tumor became $10{\times}10mm$ in diameter was $42.5{\pm}4.7$ days, and the mean number of tumor mass per rat was $3.4{\pm}1.2$ in the DMBA-treated group. No significant difference was apparent in the tumor induction time of the histamine-treated group, heparin-treated group or pyrilamine-treated group compared with the control group, but in the cimetidine-treated group the tumor induction time was $61.8{\pm}10.6$ days (p<0.005). The mean number of tumors per rat was $2.1{\pm}0.9$ in the cimetidine-treated group in contrast to $3.4{\pm}1.3$ in the control group (p<0.005). Numerical changes of mast cells were observed according to the development of DMBA induced mammary tumors that were separated into three major classes of tumors. The numbers of mast cells in all the experimental group were inclined to increase significantly according to the mammary tumor development (p<0.005), and the histamine-treated group, heparin-treated group, or pyrilamine-treated group were nearly similar to the control group. But the mast cells in the each stage of tumor development were more numerous in the cimetidine-treated group than in the control group (p<0.005). There were not significant in the numerical changes of mast cells among the experimental groups on each stage of carcinomas separated by early stage, middle stage and late stage. In the morphological characteristics of mast cells, the degranulation was not detectable from the hyperplasia stages to the early stage of carcinoma, but its degranulation was observed at the middle stage of carcinoma. Most mast cells were nearly degranulated at the late stage of carcinoma. The histamine treated group, pyrilamine-treated group and cimetidine treated group did not differ from the control group in morphological changes of mast cells, but the degranulation was shown mild in the heparin-treated group. And the degranulation gave rise to the depletion of intercellular matrix via exocytosis all the experimental group. From above results, it is supposed that mast cells inhibit the tumor development and that the inhibition is not caused by a single-factor, but by a complex activities of mast cell mediators.
Mechanical properties and microleakage of two composites [conventional hybrid type DenFil (VERICOM Co., Anyang, Korea) / micro matrix hybrid type Esthet X (Dentsply Caulk, Milford, DE, U.S.A.)] were evaluated to assess whether variable light intensity curing is better than conventional curing technique. Curing was done for 40 seconds in two ways of 2 step soft-start technique and 5 step ramping technique. Three kinds of light intensities of 50, 100, $200{\;}mW/\textrm{cm}^2$ were initially used for 10, 20, 30 seconds each and the maximum intensity of $600 {\;}mW/\textrm{cm}^2$ was used for the rest of curing time in a soft-start curing tech nique. In a ramping technique, curing was done with the same initial intensities and the light intensity was increased 5 times with the same rate to the maximum intensity of $600{\;}mW/\textrm{cm}^2$. After determining conditions that showed no different mechanical properties with conventional technique, Esthet X composite was filled in a class V cavity, which dimension was $4{\times}3{\times}1.5{\;}mm$ and cured under those conditions. Microleakage was evaluated in two ways of dye penetration and maximum gap estimation through SEM observation. ANOVA and Spearman's rho test were used to confirm any statistical significance among groups. The results were as follows : 1 Several curing conditions of variable light intensities resulted in the similar mechanical properties with a conventional continuous curing technique, except conditions that start curing with an initial light intensity of $50{\;}mW/\textrm{cm}^2$. 2. Conventional and ramping techniques were better than soft-start technique in mechanical properties of microhardness and compressive strength. 3. Soft-start group that started curing with an initial light intensity of $100{\;}mW/\textrm{cm}^2$ for 10 seconds showed the least dye penetration. Soft-start group that started curing with an initial light intensity of $200{\;}mW/\textrm{cm}^2$ for 10 seconds showed the smallest marginal gap, if there was no difference among groups. 4. Soft-start technique resulted in better dye-proof margin than conventional technique(p=0.014) and ramping technique(p = 0.002). 5. There was a very low relationship(p=0.157) between the methods of dye penetration and marginal gap determination through SEM evaluation. From the results of this study, it was revealed that ramping technique would be better than conventional technique in mechanical properties, however, soft-start technique might be better than conventional one in microleakage. It was concluded that much endeavor should be made to find out the curing conditions, which have advantages of both aspects or to solve these kinds of problems through a novel idea of polymerization.

The purpose of this study was to compare the leakage of four different obturation techniques in conjunction with immediate apical barrier of ${\beta}$-tricalcium phosphate(TCP) in teeth with open apex. Eighty single-rooted human premolar teeth were prepared and sectioned horizontally, so maximum diameter in apex was 4mm. Apical defects that were similar to open apex, were created with #1/2 round bur and SF104R bur. The apical foramen were opened to a size 80 file extended 3mm beyond the apex. The teeth were placed into the oasis block soaked saline to simulate periapical tissue often associated with pulpless teeth and received apical barriers consisting of TCP followed by obturation using lateral condensation technique, vertical condensation technique, continuous wave technique and thermoplasticized gutta-percha injection technique. Two unobturated teeth served as positive and negative controls. Teeth were immersed in resorcinol-formaldehyde resin for S days at $4^{\circ}C$, and the resin was allowed to polymerize completely for 4 days at room temperature. Teeth were then sectioned horizontally at 1.5mm(level 1), 2.5mm(level 2) and 3.5mm(level 3) from the apex, and examined under a stereomicroscope at ${\times}40$ magnification. The photographs were taken at ${\times}40$ magnification of the filling in each level and scanned. The leakage length in tooth/resin interface was measured at each of the three levels. Each ratio of leakage was obtained by calculating the ratio of the leakage length of canal wall infiltrated with resin to the total length of the canal and was analyzed statistically(One-way ANOVA and Scheffe test). The result were as follows : 1. At the level 1, there was the least leakage in the thermoplasticized gutta-percha injection technique group(group 4), but there was statistically significant(p<0.05). 2. At the level 2, there was the least leakage in the thermoplasticized gutta-percha injection technique group(group 4), and the most leakage in the continuous wave technique group(group 3). There was statistically significant difference between the thermoplasticized gutta-percha injection technique group and the continuous wave technique group(p<0.05). 3. At the level 3, there was the least leakage in the thermoplasticized gutta-percha injection technique group(group 4), but there were no statistically significant differences between other groups(p>0.05). These results suggest that thermoplasticized gutta-percha injection technique which had 1mm apical gutta-percha matrix after the formation of TCP apical barrier, can demonstrate favorable apical sealing.

Recently, the use of portable projector expands applications to meeting at fields. Accordingly, the projection is not always guaranteed on white screen, causing some color distortion. Several algorithms have been suggested to correct the projected color on the light colored screen. These have limitation on the use of measurement equipment which can't bring always. In this paper, color correction method using general still camera as convenient measurement equipment is proposed to match the colors between on white and colored screens. A patch containing 9 ramps of each channel are firstly projected on white and colored screens, then captured by the camera, respectively, Next, digital values are obtained by the captured image for each ramp patch on both screens, resulting in different values to the same patch. After that, we check which ramp patch on colored screen has the same digital value on white screen, repeating this procedure for all ramp patches. The difference between corresponding ramp patches reveals the quantity of color shift. Then, color correction matrix is obtained by regression method using matched values. In the experimental results, the proposed method gives better color correction on the objective and subjective evaluation than the previous methods.
This study aims to develop a multiple criteria decision making (MCDM) approach for flood vulnerability assessment which considers uncertainty. The flood vulnerability assessment procedure consists of three steps: (1) use the Delphi process to determine the criteria and their corresponding weights-the adopted criteria represent the social, economic, and environmental circumstances related to floods, (2) construct a fuzzy data matrix for the flood vulnerability criteria using fuzzification and standardization, and (3) set priorities based on the number of assessed vulnerabilities. This study uses a modified fuzzy TOPSIS method based on ${\alpha}$-level sets which considers various uncertainties related to weight derivation and crisp data aggregation. Further, Spearman's rank correlation analysis is used to compare the rankings obtained using the proposed method with those obtained using fuzzy TOPSIS with fuzzy data, TOPSIS, and WSM methods with crisp data. The fuzzy TOPSIS method based on ${\alpha}$-cut level sets is found to have a higher correlation rate than the other methods, and thus, it can reduce the difference of the rankings which uses crisp and fuzzy data. Thus, the proposed flood vulnerability assessment method can effectively support flood management policies.

This study was performed to evaluate wear characteristics of light-cured composites when opposed by human enamel. Seven light-cured restorative composites were selected and enamel cusps sectioned from premolars. All samples were stored in distilled water at $37^{\circ}C$ for 10 days. 68.6 N of weight was loaded during the test. The measurements of vertical loss of enamel cusps, weight loss and volume loss of composites, and SEM observations of the polished and abraded surfaces were made after 30,000 cycles. The results obtained were summarized as follows; 1. The highest hardness value of 70.4 was observed in the Spectrum group and the lowest value of 19.8 was observed in the Heliomolar group. Results of Tukey test showed that an overall significant difference was indicated except the Spectrum, Z100 and Clearfil AP-X groups(p<0.05). 2. Enamel showed the good abrasion resistance against the Heliomolar group of microfilled composite and the Palpique Toughwell group containing the submicron hybrid type spherical fillers. 3. The abrasive wear resistance of hybrid composites was improved with the decrease of mean particle size and hybrid of submicron particle fillers. 4. SEM observation of worn surfaces revealed the protrusion, attrition and missing of fillers, cracks developing and delamination in the matrix.

The development of computer technology and the advancement of the technology of information and communications spread the technology of multimedia and increased the use of multimedia data with large capacity. Users can grasp the overall video data and they are able to play wanted video back. To grasp the overall video data it is necessary to offer the list of summarized video data information. In order to search video efficiently an index process of video data is essential and it is also indispensable skill. Therefore, this thesis suggested the effective method about the cut detection of frames which will become a basis of an index based on contents of video image data. This suggested method was detected as the unchanging pixel rotor intelligence value, classified into diagonal direction. Pixel value of color detected in each frame of video data is stored as A(i, i) matrix - i is the number of frames, i is an image height of frame. By using the stored pixel value as the method of UE(Mean Square Error) I calculated a specified value difference between frames and detected cut quickly and exactly in case it is bigger than threshold value set in advance. To carry out an experiment on the cut detection of lames comprehensively, 1 experimented on many kinds of video, analyzing and comparing efficiency of the cut detection system.
