주철본드 다이아몬드 팰렛에 의한 프레스 금형의 고능률 연마가공 (1) (High Efficient Finishing Process for Press Dies by Cast Iron Bonded Diamond Pellet (1))

  • The finishing process for dies and molds is directly related to finished surface quality, but many parts of process depend on human labor which needs much time and value. So automatic finishing machine has been produced for dies and molds, and applied widely for finishing process. Conventionally finishing machine has applied resin bonded finishing pad as a tool, but the removal ability of pad decreases greatly as finishing process goes on. In the finishing mechanism for dies and molds, finishing process is affected severely by cutting process, so can be divided into removing cusp and smoothing surface process. So, this study investigated the application of cast iron bonded diamond pellet for press dies, which is considered to have better characteristics than the other metal bonded pellets. The finishing characteristics were compared the between finishing pellet and pad. And finishing performance was appraised as the several cutting surfaces.

핵연료계장을 위한 정밀 드릴링장치 개발 (Development of Precision Drilling Machine for the Instrumentation of Nuclear Fuels)

  • When a new nuclear fuel is developed, an irradiation test needs to be carried out in the research reactor to analyze the performance of the new nuclear fuel. In order to check the performance of a nuclear fuel during the irradiation test in the test loop of a research reactor, sensors need to be attached in and out of the fuel rod and connect them with instrumentation cables to the measuring device located outside of the reactor pool. In particular, to check the temporary temperature change at the center of a nuclear fuel during the irradiation test, a thermocouple should be instrumented at the center of the fuel rod. Therefore, a hole needs to be made at the center of fuel pellet to put in the thermocouple. However, because the hardness and the density of a sintered $UO_2$ pellet are very high, it is difficult to make a small fine hole on a sintered $UO_2$ pellet using a simple drilling machine even though we use a diamond drill bit made by electro deposition. In this study, an automated drilling machine using a CVD diamond drill has been developed to make a fine hole in a fuel pellet without changing tools or breakage of workpiece. A sintered alumina ($Al_2O_3$) block which has a higher hardness than a sintered $UO_2$ pellet is used as a test specimen. Then, it is verified that a precise hole can be drilled off without breakage of the drill bit in a short time.

대형 광학계 연마 장비에 의한 대구경 반사경의 최적 근사 구면 제조 방법에 관한 연구 (An Optical Surfacing Technique of the Best-fitted Spherical Surface of the Large Optics Mirror with Ultra Precision Polishing Machine)

  • This paper describes a novel method to surface large optics mirror with an extremely high hardness, which could replace the high cost of the repetitive off-line measurement steps and the large ultra-precision grinding machine with ultra-positioning control of 10 nm resolution. A lot of diamond pellet to be attached on the convex aluminum base consists of a grinding tool for the concave large mirror, and the tool was pressured down on the large mirror blank. The tool motion at an interval on the spiral path was controlled with each feed rate as the dwell time in the conventional computer-controlled polishing. The shape to be surfaced was measured directly by a touch probe on the machine without any separation of the mirror blank. Total 40 iterative steps of the surfacing and measurement could demonstrate the form error of RMS $7.8{\mu}m$, surface roughness of Ra $0.2{\mu}m$ for the mirror blank with diameter of 1 m and spherical radius of curvature of 5400 mm.

치과용 아말감의 부식(腐蝕)에 관한 전기화학적 연구 (AN ELECTROCHEMICAL STUDY ON THE CORROSION OF DENTAL AMALGAM)

  • The corrosion of silver amalgam is regarded as one of major causes in the failures of dental amalgam restorations. To evaluate the corrosion resistance of dental amalgam alloys, electrochemical tests such as potential and polarization measurement were used widely. But these commonly used methods have not provided the sufficient informations on relative resistance of amalgam to corrosion. In this experiment, the corrosion currents were measured using electronic potentiostat to compare some commercial dental amalgam alloys. All alloys were triturated in a amalgamator and condensed into a mold described in A.D.A. Specification No. 1 to produce cylinder form specimens of 4mm diameter by 5mm long. After specimen kept for 1 week at $37^{\circ}C$, each specimen was embedded in epoxy resin. The surfaces of specimens were then polished with a emery paper, diamond dust, and $Al_2O_3$. These specimens were immersed in artifical saliva kept at $37^{\circ}C$, and currents of each specimen were measured for 24 hours at 0.0volt (SCE). The author obtained conclusions as follows: 1. High copper amalgam showed superior resistance against corrosion to conventional amalgam, but a pellet form of high copper amalgam seemed to be susceptible to corrosion. 2. In lathe-cut alloys, fine-cut had superior resistance against corrosion to regular-cut. 3. Non-zinc conventional amalgam alloys were more resistant to corrosion than that of zinc containing conventional amalgam alloys. 4. In both of high copper and conventional amalgams, predispensed forms tended to have better resisitance to corrosion than that of pellet forms.

핵연료 계장을 위한 천공조건에 대한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on Drilling Conditions for the Instrumentation of Nuclear Fuel)

  • To develop a new nuclear fuel, it needs to make a test fuel rod and carry out burn-up test in the test loop of a research reactor to check the irradiation characteristics of the nuclear fuel. At that time, several sensors such as thermocouples, LVDTs and SPNDs are needed to be attached in and out of the fuel rod and connect them with instrumentation cables. Then, the instrumentation cables deliver the signals measured by the sensors to the measuring device located outside of the reactor pool. In particular, to install a thermocouple in a fuel rod, it needs to drill off holes on the alumina blocks and sintered $UO_2$ pellets. However, because the hardness of a sintered $UO_2$ pellet is 700 Hv (or HRC 61) and that of an alumina block is 1480 Hv, a special drilling machine which adapts a diamond coated drill bit had developed. In this study, several case experiments have been carried out to find an optimal drilling condition of the drilling machine. And, using the optimal drilling condition, minimum numbers of the holes that a drill bit can drill off are verified.

치근단 역충전와동의 건조방법이 폐쇄성에 미치는 영향 (INFLUENCES OF DRY METHODS OF RETROCAVITY ON THE APICAL SEAL)

  • 외과적 근관치료에서 근단부의 폐쇄성은 성공에 필수적이다. 그리고 외과적 근관치료시 근단부 역충전와동은 습기나 혈액에 의해 오염되기 쉬우며 와동을 이상적으로 건조하기가 항상 용이하지는 않다. 본 연구의 목적은 미세 치근단 수술법에서 치근단 역충전와동의 건조 방법이 폐쇄성에 미치는 영향을 연구하고자 함이다. 치근단 폐쇄성은 근단 누출 및 충전물-와벽 적합성으로 평가하였다. 치근단 역충전와동 건조방법에 따른 치근단 누출을 평가하기 위해서는 최근에 발거된 상악 대구치 구개측치근 125개를 와동건조 방법 및 혈액오염에 따라 4개의 군으로 분류하여 실험하였다. 각 시편치아에서 근관을 형성하고 측방가압법으로 충전한 후 각 군에 따라 저속 다이아몬드 절단기를 이용하여 치근단 3 mm를 절제하였으며 초음파 스테인레스 스틸 기구를 이용하여 깊이 3mm의 역충전 와동을 형성하고 IRM, Super EBA 또는 복합레진으로 역충전하였다. 시편을 2% methylene blue 용액에 7일간 침잠시킨 후 35% 질산 용액에서 용해시킨 다음, 원심분리한 상층액을 비색계를 이용하여 누출 색소의 흡광도를 측정하였다. 결과치는 이원변량분석법과 Duncan's Multiple Range Test를 이용하여 분석하였다. 역충전 와동 건조방법에 따른 충전물-와벽 적합성을 평가하기 위해서는 상악 제 1대구치의 구개측 치근 12개를 상기와 같이 4개 군으로 분류하여 근관충전, 역충전와동 형성, 와동 건조 및 역충전을 실험하였으며, 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 1. 압축공기나 paper point로 와동을 건조한 군이, 역충전 와동을 IRM 간이충전재, Super EBA 시멘트 및 복합레진으로 충전한 경우 공히, cottton pellet 만으로 와동을 건조한 군에 비해 적은 치큰단 누출을 나타내었는데 이는 Super EBA 시멘트 충전군에서만 유의한 차이를 나타내었다(p<0.05). 그러나 충전재료에 관계없이 paper point로 와동을 건조한 군과 압축공기로 건조한 군 사이에는 유의한 누출의 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 2. 압축공기로 와동을 건조한 경우에는, 복합레진으로 충전한 군이 IRM이나 Super EBA로 충전한 군에 비해 유의하게 적은 치근단 누출을 나타내었다(p<0.05). 3. 와동을 혈액으로 오염시킨 경우에는, 역충전 와동을 IRM, Super EBA 및 복합레진으로 충전한 군 공히, 압축공기로 와동내부를 건조한 경우에 비해 유의하게 많은 치큰단 누출을 나타내었다(p<0.05). 4. IRM 간이충전재나 Super EBA 시멘트로 역충전와동을 충전한 경우, 와동측벽의 외측 1/2이 내측 1/2에 비해 넓은 충전물-치질 사이 틈을 나타내었다. 5. IRM 간이충전재, Super EBA 시멘트 및 복합레진으로 역충전와동을 충전한 경우 공히, 와동이 혈액에 의해 오염되었거나 와동을 cotton pellet으로만 건조한 경우가 paper point나 압축공기로 와동을 건조한 경우에 비해 와동기저부에 큰 틈을 나타내는 양상을 보였다.
