  • The purpose of this study is to develop lesson plans. teaching guide, and teaching materials applying practical reasoning teaching model in the area of ’human development and family relationship’in middle school home economics. The practical reasoning teaching model consists of five factors: Desired results, Awareness of context, Alternative approaches, Consequences of action, and Action. This study based on practical reasoning has following process: Curriculum development. Developing lesson pan, teaching material, an teaching guide, Experimental teaching and evaluation. Feedback, Production of CD-Rom. Teaching guide includes lesson plan, workbook multimedia materials and teaching resources. Especially teaching guide in CD-Rom can be used effectively in the actual teaching. In the classroom, this teaching model accomplished active and interesting participation of teachers and students. It is proposed that practical reasoning teaching model should be applied to other areas of home economics. In addition various teaching materials based on practical reasoning need to developed.

초등 수학 영재를 위한 도형수 과제의 수준별 교수.학습 자료 개발 절차와 방법에 관한 연 (A Study on the Process of Teaching.Learning Materials Development According to the Level in the Figurate Number Tasks for Elementary Math Gifted Students)

  • 본 연구는 수준이 다른 여러 영재 집단의 소속 학생들이 도형수와 관련된 과제를 해결하고 창의적 산출물을 도출하는 가운데 그들의 수학적 사고력과 창의적인 아이디어를 발휘할 수 있도록 수준별 수학 영재 교수 학습 자료를 개발하는 절차와 방법을 탐구해 보는 데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 교수 학습 자료 개발의 준거와 절차 모형에 따라 도형수 과제의 교수 학습 자료의 원형과 실제적인 자료를 개발하고 그것을 현장 수업에 적용하면서 학생들의 다양한 해결과정을 분석하면서 그 자료의 문제점과 개선점을 제시하였다. 그리고 초등학교에서 집단의 수준별로 산출물 탐구가 가능한 도형수의 내용 범위를 설정해 보면서 차후 유사한 다른 수학 영재 교수 학습 자료 개발할 때 고려한 네 가지의 시사점을 제안하였다.

초등영어 수업에서 자기 주도적 교수에 대한 교사의 인식 (A study of primary school teachers' beliefs on self-directed teaching in primary school English classroom)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate Korean primary school English teachers' beliefs on self-directed teaching and learning for facilitating student's self-directed learning. A survey was conducted, using 315 primary school teachers as participants. According to different school areas, sex, English teaching careers, and types of English teaching like classroom teachers or English specialist teachers, beliefs on teachers' self-directed teaching were studied based on class planning, class process, utilization of human resources, development and utilization of teaching materials and class evaluation. The results of this study are as follows: first, differences were not shown except class planning according to teachers from different school areas. Second, sex and beliefs of teachers' self-directed teaching had nothing in common. Third, differences were shown in class planning and class process, according to English teaching careers. Finally, according to types of English teaching, differences were shown in class process and development and utilization of teaching materials. The study suggests that it is necessary to conduct other studies for observing primary English classrooms focusing on teacher's self-directed decision-making.

Developing the Format and Samples of Teaching Materials for Scientific Creativity in the Ordinary Science Curriculum -Including Teachers' Practice and Reflection-

  • Scientific creativity is necessary for all ordinary students in ordinary school settings. In this study, a practical format for teaching scientific creativity is suggested, and sample teaching materials based on this format are developed. To facilitate the practical use of the teaching materials in ordinary schools, the model of IS3CA(Iterative Small Scale Scientific Creative Activity) was proposed. Using this format and the proposed teaching materials, a brief in-service program was developed and implemented. Here, the aim is to improve teachers' actual professional ability to develop their own teaching materials rather than just using the pre-developed teaching materials provided by the researcher. Positive responses about the in-service program were collected from the teachers, and the results also showed that the development of teaching materials by teachers was possible. Therefore, I expect that the teaching of scientific creativity by ordinary teachers is possible for ordinary students in ordinary school contexts. Finally, based on the results and experiences of this study, a curriculum for teaching scientific creativity is suggested.

중등 수학영재 교수.학습자료 개발 동향 분석 (An Analysis on the Development Tendency of Teaching and Learning Materials for the Gifted Students in the Middle School)

  • 본 연구에서는 그 동안 개발된 중등 수학영재를 위한 교수 학습자료를 최대한 수집하고, 수집한 자료들을 교수 학습 대상, 수학과 교육과정과의 관련성, 렌쥴리의 3부 심화학습 단계, 자료의 성격, 교육과정 역역 등의 5가지 유목에 대해 각 유목별로 세부영역을 두어 분류한 다음 개발 동향과 특정을 분석함으로써 앞으로 중등 수학영재를 위한 교수 학습자료를 개발할 때 발생할 수 있는 세부영역별 개발 빈도수의 편차를 줄이고 개발 자료의 질적 향상을 위한 참고자료를 제공하고자 한다.

일본에 있어서의 생물교재의 개발과 활용에 관한 연구 (A Study of the Development and Using of Teaching Materials for Biology in Japan)

  • The purpose of the present study is to show the way to develop and use the teaching materials for biology in Japan. This study was mainly carried out in documents. The following suggestions should be taken in moderate consideration: 1. Private enterprises as well as the government make heavy investments and careful considerations for the promotion of the science education including biology education. 2. Among in-service teachers one or two volunteer(s) chosen for special training course managed by the local education center are cultivated as excellent teachers on the development and using of teaching materials through an intensive study and training for six months or twelve months. 3. Most research groups consist of specialists in every field and they carry out studying the development of teaching materials in biology.

예비교사의 디지털 기반 원주율 교수학습자료 개발 사례 연구 (A Study on Pre-service Teachers' Development of Digital-based Teaching and Learning Materials of Pi )

  • 본 연구의 목적은 디지털 기반 원주율 교수학습자료를 개발하는 과정에서 예비교사들의 디지털 역량과 원주율에 대한 내용지식이 어떻게 나타나고 강화되는지를 분석함으로써 예비교사 교육에 주는 시사점을 도출하는 것이다. 이를 위해 알지오매스 환경에서 두 명의 예비교사가 블록코딩을 활용하여 원주율 지도를 위한 탐구활동 자료를 개발하는 과정을 분석하였다. 분석 결과를 통해, 알지오매스의 블록 코딩 활동이 예비교사의 디지털 역량을 발현하고 확장하는 경험을 제공하였다는 것과 예비교사들의 원주율에 대한 내용 지식을 심화시키는 기회가 되었으며 디지털 자료 개발 환경의 한계점을 인식할 수 있는 계기가 되었음을 확인하였다. 또한 예비교사들의 디지털 역량 강화 프로그램으로 블록 코딩을 적극적으로 활용할 필요가 있다는 것과 디지털 교수학습자료 개발에 필요한 지식으로 예비교사 교육에서 교육과정에 대한 이해를 강조할 필요가 있음을 제언하였다.

  • 본 연구는 수학 영재들을 위한 교수$\cdot$학습 자료 개발의 준거를 설정하고 교수$\cdot$학습 자료 개발의 절차 모형을 개발하여 그에 따른 주제탐구형 수학 영재 교수$\cdot$학습 자료의 실제적인 모델을 제시하는 것이다. 이를 위하여 우선 수학 영재 교수$\cdot$학습 자료 개발 준거와 파네스의 창의적 문제해결 학습 모형에 따라 '약수를 통한 자연수 탐구'라는 주제로 4차시 분량의 주제 탐구형 수학 영재 교수$\cdot$학습 자료를 개발하였다. 이 자료를 이용하여 대학부설 영재교육원의 초등 수학 심화/사사반 학생들과 교육청 부설 영재교육원 초등 수학반 영재아들을 대상으로 4차에 걸쳐 현장에 적용하면서 수정 및 재구성을 한 자료를 부록에 실었다. 그리고 그 자료를 수업에 적용$\cdot$분석함으로써 원형 및 자료 개발의 타당성을 확인하는 과정을 통해 얻게된 수학 영재 교수$\cdot$학습 자료 개발의 방향과 시사점을 제안하였다.

  • This research is focused on the development of Math teaching and/or learning materials in which the students are centered, not teachers, and which can, in turn, activate and reinforce the students' extra curricular Math activitie The findings I came to have through my research can be summarized as follows: 1. Math teaching and/or learning materials developed based on the students' interactions in the Math extra-curricular activities helped students to learn Math better and to be more interested in Math. 2. There was a positive attitude change toward Math on the side of the students after being introduced in and exposed to Math through the above mentioned Math teaching and/or learning materials. 3. There was a positive attitude change toward Math on the side of the students after being taught Math using the above mentioned Math teaching and/or learning materials. The suggestions I came to have through my research are as follows: 1. There need to be more consistent efforts in developing the Math teaching and/or learning materials which can be used in the Math extra-curricular activities. 2. There need to be more consistent efforts in developing Math teaching paradigms which can be used in Math extra-curricular activities. 3. There need to be more consistent efforts in developing the Math teaching and/or learning materials which can be used in the Math class as well as in Math extra-curricular activities. 4. There need to be more consistent efforts in developing the Math teaching and/or learning materials which are more grade-, unit-, and category-conscious.

The Development of Science Education Program Based on Culturally Responsive Teaching

  • The purpose of this study was to design a development frame for multicultural science program and develop a corresponding program using the frame. This study organized a development frame to design a multicultural science education program based on the culturally responsive teaching theory. This development frame consisted of the elements of purpose, teaching examples, teaching and learning methods, and assessment. This program consisted of the guideline for class teaching courses, reading materials, student worksheet, and teachers' reference materials. Based on this development frame, a multicultural science education program was developed, which was comprised of seven activities for elementary and middle school students. Each activity of the program included the concept and inquiry related to science education. In particular, by connecting the concept of science with the cultural characteristics of various countries, the activity made students aware of cultural diversity and the commonness of science principles. Compared to other subjects, the science education field has not actively undertaken studies on multicultural education. In term of dealing with universal principles, science education is suitable for making students aware of commonness. Accordingly, this gives rise to the need to draw cultural characteristics based on basic studies such as the analysis of science textbooks in various countries and develop culturally responsive programs utilizing the outcomes.
