  • The main purpose of this study is to investigate the technology related facts which determine the difference of the output of companies in the fields of IT and BT industries in Korean. The determining facts consist of the technology development strategy, the characteristic of R&D groups, and the ability of managing knowledge assets. Three kinds of regression model are made by using 3 determining facts from total model to IT and BT model to investigate the research purpose of this study. The technology development strategy consists of 2 sub facts, as technology innovation and product upgrade. The characteristic of R&D group consists of 2 sub facts, as the characteristic of task and the intensity of R&D group members. The ability of managing knowledge assets consist of 3 sub elements, as the ability of creating knowledge assets, the ability of holding in common knowledge assets, and the ability of developing the value of knowledge assets.

  • The research to estimate development effort of software has been progress. But, it is not easy gain that testing data for estimating of development effort. Also, if we get the testing data, it is important that analysis testing data. In this paper, we study the data analysis of software development effort using the 789 software development projects which developed in the 1990's. Software development scale and software development team site are various. Using the characteristic of factor, we have to study characteristic of data and we estimate the development effort step by step. First, we prove the difference of development effort with the 789 project data according to development type, development environment, the development language etc. Also, we execute the crosstabs analysis that team site and function point.

  • The rapid diffusion of using internet and technical development becomes a driving force creating and developing the industries based on internet and made up an electronic commerce market which is a new form of business market. The object of this study is the business form between the consumer and the enterprise having a rapid growth nowadays. We classified enterprises' characteristic factors in internet shopping mall into product's characteristic factors on shopping mall, characteristic factors of the system on shopping mall and characteristic factors of the interaction between customers and shopping mall in the internet shopping mall. And then we investigated how these classified characteristic factors on shopping mall could influence on customer loyalty.

  • In the distribution system, Change of system happens frequently. However, most of the relays are operated manually by a person or not changed when system changed. So, when fault happened, a case that relaydoes not act rapidly happens. Also, in current power system, digital relays are used because of digitization of relay. Digital relay has very many advantages than existing analog relay. One of these advantages is that communication is available and easily can make characteristic curve. If specific values are sent to a relay by communication, A relay can make suitable characteristic curve according to the value. In this paper, by using voltages and currents measured by relay, state of CB(Circuit Breaker) and these relays, SCADA(Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition) system that control and correct characteristic curve of overcurrent relay at system change by using HMI(Human Machine Interface) is proposed.

  • The purpose of this paper was to derive soil-water characteristic curve equation for unsaturated soil. To this end, a series of suction measured test was conducted on the selected 4 kinds of soil which is located in Korea, used the modified pressure plate apparatus. From the test results, it was proved that characteristic curve changes according to grain size distribution, size of void and fine grained soil contents. Residual degree of saturation(Sr) was decreased with void ratio and changed with fine grained soil contents, parameter ${\lambda}$ and hr was increased with void ratio. Soil-water characteristic curve equation based on the test result was suggested by void ratio or grain size distribution.

Development of Blood Pressure Estimation Algorithm Using Variable Characteristic Ratios on Oscillometric Method (진동법에서 가변 특성 비를 이용한 혈압 추정 알고리즘의 개발)

  • In this paper, variable characteristic ratio algorithm based on oscillometric method is proposed to enhance the accuracy of blood pressure measurement. We combined the slope-based approach and fuzzy inference technique to change the characteristic ratios of height-based method. The proposed algorithm was assessed on 255 measurements from 85 subjects and compared with the conventional height-based algorithm. The testing results showed that the developed algorithm achieved an overall grade A for both systolic and diastolic blood pressures according to the BHS protocol. And, mean standard deviation between the observers and the developed algorithm were 5.71mmHg and 6.29mmHg for systolic and diastolic pressures respectively, which also fulfilled the AAMI criteria. In conclusion, this algorithm was successfully developed and recommended for further clinical trials with the wider adult population.

Development of CCFL with Nb/Ni Gad Electrode for high efficiency (Nb/Ni Clad 전극을 이용한 고효율 CCFL 개발)

  • According as CCFL(Cold Cathode Fluorescent lamp) of light source in Backlight unit for Note PC (Personal computer) is presently needed to low power consumption and long life time, the development focus of CCFL is going on the discharge gas, phosphor and electrode material. First of all, discharge voltage characteristic of CCFL is closely connected with electrode material For low discharge voltage, the characteristic of electrode material is needed to low work function, low sputtering ratio and superior manufacturing property. We developed new CCFL with Nb/Ni Clad electrode superior to conventional CCFL. Because Nb/Ni Clad electrode with Ni material and Nb material, the electrical characteristic is superior to other electrode materials. The electrode of Nb/Ni Clad is composed that Ni of outside material has superior manufacturing property and Nb of inside material has low work function. Nb/Ni Clad of new electrode material is made by process of Rolling mill at high pressure and heat treatment. We compared electrical characteristic of Nb/Ni clad electrode with conventional Mo electrode by measurement. Mo electrode and Nb/Ni Clad electrode of cup type with diameter 1.1 mm and length 3.0mm are used to this experiment. Material content of Mo electrode is Mo 100%. But, Nb/Ni Clad electrode is composed by content of Nb 40% and Ni 60%. The result of comparison measurement between new CCFL with Nb/Ni Clad electrode and conventional CCFL was appeared that CCFL with Nb/Ni Clad electrode had superior characteristic than conventional CCFL. As a result of experiment, we completed Note PC with low power consumption and long life time by application of new CCFL with Nb/Ni Clad electrode.

STUDY ON OPTICAL PROPERTY OF RED TIDE ALGAL SPECIES

  • This research is about the optical characteristic of red tide which is collected from Nam-Hae for basic research of red tide remote sensing technique development. 21 kinds of red tide organisms are cultivated to investigate optical characteristic of them on the level of laboratory, and chlorophyll specific absorption coefficient($a^*$) and backscattering coefficient($b_b^*$) are estimated by using spectrophotometer. Absorption spectrums according to species are appeared diversely from 0.005 to 0.06 (mg/ $m^2$), and the shapes of spectrums are also different. The range of $b_b^*$ are appeared $10^{-2}{\sim}10^{-4}$ mg/ $m^2$, which have around 100 times differences between species, and the shape of spectrum also have significant difference between species. These results are able to use as an input data of inverse model from ocean color.

Analysis of Product Quality Characteristics Using QFD for Food Waste Disposer Development from Customer Perspective (고객관점의 음식물처리기 개발을 위한 QFD를 활용한 제품품질요인 분석)

  • Recently the market of the food waste disposer has increased. Therefore, many companies in the development of food garbage disposer has been increasing interest. In this study, we used QFD (Quality Function Development) to find out the quality factors for the development of the food waste disposer reflecting the consumer needs. HOQ (House Of Quality) showing the correlation between consumer characteristic and engineering characteristic was written by investigating the consumer needs based on the consumer complaints and survey. In addition, we generated the CTQ (Critical To Quality) reflecting the weighting of the importance of the parts. As the research result, the important quality factors for the food garbage disposer were the grinding capability, drying, and odor emission features. The crushing motor associated with grinding and dehydration appeared as the most important quality factors among the parts. Second thing was the fan motor associated with odor. The findings will be able to contribute to the development of the food waste disposer reflecting the consumer needs.
