석탄연소 순환유동층 연소로에서 석회석을 이용한 SO$_2$의 제거는 이미 기술적으로 입증된 방법이다. 연소로에 투입된 석회석은 식(1)과 같은 소성반응을 거친 후 CaO로 변화하며 식(2)와 같은 황화(sulfation)반응에 의해 SO$_2$를 흡수하여 CaSO$_4$ 형태로 변화한다.(중략)

국내 해안에는 양식업에서 부산물로 다량 발생되는 굴, 홍합, 대합 등의 패각들이 해안에 야적되어 연안어장의 오염, 공유수면 관리상의 지장, 자연경관의 훼손 및 보건 위생상의 문제 등으로 환경오염을 초래하고 있다(정종현 등, 1998). 현재 폐 패각의 총발생량은 355,000톤 정도이며, 이 중 종묘채묘용으로 재사용되는 양을 제외하면, 토지개량제로서의 이용 등을 포함한 재활용율은 약 30%정도로 낮은 실정이다. (굴수협전국조합, 1999). 더구나 처리비용이 비싸기 때문에 발생되는 폐 패각은 대부분 방치되고 있는 실정이다. (중략)

청정석탄이용기술개발의(CCT : Clean Coal Technology) 일환으로 차세대 발전방식으로 유력시되고 있는 기술인 석탄가스화발전기술(IGCC), 석탄가스화 연료전지(IGFC)등에서 고온건식탈황은 필수요소기술이다. 고온건식탈황기술의 핵심기술은 탈황제개발고 공정기술개발로 나누어 볼 수 있다. 탈황제개발은 국내고유 탈황제개발 연구가 진행 중에 있고 유동층과 고속유동층에 적합한 탈황제를 kg단위로 성형하여 공정개발에서 반응특성 실험을 하였다.(중략)

A general route for the synthesis of optically active unhindered aliphatic alcohols, where the steric demands between two alkyl groups adjacent to the carbinol are similar, with high enantiomeric purity has been developed by sulfoxifation of chiral ${\beta}$-hydroxy sulfides, followed by alkylation and desulfurization.

New synthetic method for ibuprofen, which is a potent antiinflammatory agent, was described. Ethyl ${\alpha}-methylthio-p-isobutylphenylacetate$ was obtained from Friedel-Crafts reaction of isobutylbenzene with ethyl ${\alpha}-chloro-{\alpha}-(methylthio)acetate$ in the presence of $SnCl_4$. Ibuprofen was prepared in good yield by treatment of ethyl ${\alpha}-methylthio-p-isobutylphenylacetate$ with NaH and MeI, followed by desulfurization with zinc dust-acetic acid and hydrolysis of the resultant ethyl 2-methylthio-2-(4-isobutylphenyl)propionate.

According to a research that is based on a previous study, But in a different way, This study shows fault diagnosis of Induction motor bearing which runs in coal-fired power plant industries on Desulfurization absorber agitator using Spectrum analysis of Stator Current and visual inspection. As a result of harmonic content analysis of stator current spectrum, It was possible to detect ball and outer race fault frequency. The comparison in the context of this experiment proves that the amplitude of faulty frequency is increased in three times at a fault in ball and in outer race. Spectrum analysis of stator current can be used to detect the presence of a fault condition as well as experiment in faulty bearings, besides early fault detection in bearings can prevent unexpected power generation loss and emergency maintenance cost.
