상호작용 중심의 컴포넌트 인터페이스를 표현하기 위한 UML의 확장 (Extension of UML to Represent Components Interface Focusing on Interaction)

  • 이 논문에서는 소프트웨어 부품이 되는 컴포넌트를 설계하기 위한 요소 중 컴포넌트간 상호작용에 중점을 두어 이를 체계적으로 분류한 후, 이에 맞는 도해적 표기방법(graphical notation)과 이를 이용한 설계 방법을 제시하고 실제 설계 사례를 통해 이를 검증하며, 컴포넌트 설계 및 모델링을 효과적으로 표현할 수 있는 방법에 대해 논의하였다. 컴포넌트는 일반 클래스와는 달리 그 규모가 크며 인터페이스와 이를 이용한 컴포넌트간의 상호작용에 대한 표현이 매우 부족하다. 따라서 이 연구에서는 컴포넌트 표현기법을 제시하기 위하여 UML을 확장하였고 이를 이용하여 실험적으로 설계해 보고 그 효용성을 검토하였다.

반응표면분석을 이용한 PoN 블록체인 시스템 합의품질 개선 (Improvement of Consensus Quality for PoN Blockchain System Using Response Surface Methodology)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to suggest an improved version of Proof-of-Nonce (PoN) algorithm, which is a distributed consensus algorithm used for block chain system. Methods: First, we used response surface method for design of experiment that is to generate experimental points considering non-linear relationship among variables. Then, we employed overlapped contour plots for visualizing the impact of control variables to performance target. Results: First, we modified the consensus procedure of the existing PoN algorithm by diminishing the content of the exchanged message. Then, we verified the performance improvement of the new PoN algorithm by performing a numerical experiment and paired t-test. Finally, we established new regression models for consensus time and Transactions per second (TPS) and proposed a method for optimizing control variables for obtaining performance target. Conclusion: We could improve the performance of the previous version of PoN algorithm by modifying the content of the exchanged message during 4-steps of consensus procedure, which might be a stepping stone for designing an efficient and effective consensus algorithm for blockchain system with dynamic operation environment.

  • This study focuses on designing a filter case using a water pump for application in eDNA filtering systems. Filter cases, channel type and net type were designed based on the flow field and made using a 3D printer for metal. Flow analysis was conducted for each filter case, and the results were consistent with the pressure experiment results. Furthermore, the water sampling performance test showed that the channel-type filter case exhibited a high flow rate and low pressure through the filter. The eDNA extraction experiment showed that the channel type exhibited improved capture ability compared to the net type.

  • The increase in the rearing intensity of pigs has caused deterioration in the pig house's internal environment such as temperature, humidity, ammonia gas, and so on. Traditionally, the widely used method to control the internal environment was through the manipulation of the ventilation system. However, the conventional ventilation system had a limitation to control the internal environment, prevent livestock disease, save energy, and reduce odor emission. To overcome this problem, the air-recirculated ventilation system was suggested. This system has a semi-closed loop ventilation type. For designing this system, it was essential to evaluate the ventilation rates considering the pressure loss of ducts. Therefore, in this study, pressure loss calculation and experiment were conducted for the quantitative ventilation design of a semi-closed loop system. The results of the experiment showed that the inlet through which external air flows should always be opened. In addition, it was also found that for the optimum design of the semi-closed loop ventilation system, it was appropriate to install a damper or a backflow prevention device rather than a ventilation fan.

베스트셀러와 한정판 상품의 판매촉진 기간 일치성 효과에 대한 탐색적 연구 (Exploring Promotion Duration Congruence for Best-Seller vs. Limited Edition Products)

  • Purpose: Despite the popularity of sales promotion as one of the key marketing tactics employed by many companies today, relatively little effort has been devoted to examining an interaction effect between promotion cues and promotion duration. Therefore, this study aims to examine how promotion cues and promotion duration will jointly affect consumers' attitudes toward promotions and purchase intentions. Research design, data, and methodology: The present study conducted an online experiment through the Qualtrics program in which a total of 141 participants were recruited from the Cloud panel members in the U.S. The experiment employed a 2(promotion cue: best-seller vs. limited edition) × 2(promotion duration: long vs. short) full factorial between-subjects design. Result: In the condition of best-selling sales promotion cue, a long promotion duration induced more positive promotion attitude and higher purchase intention, while in the condition of limited-edition sales promotion cue, the use of a short promotion duration contributed more positive promotion attitude and greater purchase intention. Conclusions: Marketers need to take the congruence between promotion cues and promotion duration into full consideration when designing effective sales promotion strategy.

The Effect of Form Factors and Control Types on Unsorted List Search for Full Touch Phone

  • Objective: The aim of this paper is to inquire into the influences form factors and control types affect a search time and comfort at list menu of full touch phone. Background: Various studies have been proceeded that are related to the optimum touch area for enhancing usability of control and legibility in mobile touch device. In the environment of list menu which is widely used to provide various information effectively, however, not only comprehensive consideration for legibility and control is to be seek but also research for control type which is to scroll a list. Method: This study executed form factor experiment to inquire into the influence that font size, height of row and fixed area affect searching time and comfort in the while information processing even if the information on the list is unsorted in alphabetical order. Among the result of form factor experiment, control type experiment was executed by selecting shortest performance time, highest legibility comfort and control comfort. Control type experiment was implemented to figure out the influence which existing flicking type, scrolling bar type, newly established button page type and button raw types affect performance time and subjective comfort depending on location of the information. Results: Font size 12pt, height of row 7mm and fixed area 15mm was shortest performance time and got highest comfort and legibility score in form factor experiment. A Button page which was newly proposed type was shortest performance time and got highest comprehensive comfort in control type experiment. Conclusion: Form factor experiment showed similar results with the study through reading a long passage of character or controlling a grid icon type. However, height of row turned out to affect not only touch area for control but also legibility by ruling space between the lines. Button page type which was newly proposed showed shortest performance time and got highest comprehensive comfort. Because Button page type needs few finger movements than other control types and implements search in the fixed form, unlikely other type which list keeps moving. Application: This study should be applied in deciding form factors and control type for scroll when designing a list menu of full touch phone.

  • Through the Standard of UL489, the Adjustable Type Instant Trip Unit should NO trip at 80% of each current from $5{\times}In$ to $10{\times}In$ and trip 130% of those. In this paper, we obtain the attraction force between Fixing Magnet and Moving Armature. we simulated the modelling by 3D Finite Element Method. With values of experiment and simulated values, in this paper, we show the method for set up the process of designing Instant spring.

An Exploratory Study on Donor Location Strategies in Data Fusion

  • This study explores several donor location strategies and discusses experiment results, which contributes to the saving of time and effort required in designing data fusion processes. In particular, three concepts are introduced. The Mahalanobis distance is applied to locate the nearest neighbors more effectively; which incorporates the covariance structure of attributes. The ideal point helps reduce the dimensionality problem that arises in conjoint-type experiments. The correspondence analysis is used to derive the coordinates from non-metric attributes. The Monte Carlo simulation results show that the proposed donor location strategies provide better fusion performance, compared to the currently-in-use methods.

  • This paper presents the measurement process of the rotational accuracy and the comparison with the theoretical results in the main bearing of scroll compressor. The main bearing is cylindrical oil proceeding bearing, but there are straightly cut used for oil supply. Therefore the roundness error is not a negligible quantity compared with the rotational accuracy. For this reason, three-point method is used in the experiment. The result of three-point method coincides with the theoretical value. So if the theory in this paper is used to the bearing design of scroll compressor, the efforts for testing and designing can be reduced.

Schmidt cycle analysis in the quest of designing stirling cryocooler

  • Design of Reverse Stirling Cycle based refrigerator can be predicted by Schmidt theory as a useful tool and by experiment it is found that for practical purposes the power and efficiency predicted by this analysis are about 35% of the actual values. Therefore, appropriate provision is to be made for getting the realistic result with the minimum deviation. The present paper first investigates the suitability of application of Schmidt design analysis for standard ZIF-1002 and PLN-106 Single cylinder Cryogenerator model. As the result is found to be optimistic, the same design procedure is applied for the design of a separate Cryogenerator for generating a cooling effect which is sufficient to produce 7 kg per hour liquid nitrogen using an indigenous condenser of 80% effectiveness. The paper describes all the details of the design methodologies and relevant results are found to be satisfactory.
