시역전 수중 디지털 통신 성능 분석 (Analysis of Time Reversal Transmission Performance for Underwater Communications)

  • 수중 시역전 통신기법은 복잡한 수중채널환경에서 정합장 처리를 통해 수신단의 구조가 간단하면서 전송성능을 높이기 때문에 많은 연구가 진행되어 왔으나 디지털 시역전 통신을 하기 위한 전송변수에 대한 연구가 부족하다. 본 논문은 수중시역전 채널과 전송방식을 분석하여 시역전 통신이 공간 다이버서티 이득을 얻을 수 있음을 보였다. 그리고 디지털 시역전 전송 시 전송심볼간의 간섭을 회피하여 최적의 성능을 얻을 수 있는 통신변수인 심볼 구간, 프레임의 길이 및 전송 프로토콜에 대한 설계방법을 제안한다. 전산모의실험을 통해 제안된 설계변수를 이용한 시역전 통신에서의 전송심볼간 간섭효과를 보였다. 또한 보다 많은 트랜스듀서를 사용할수록 시역전 효과에 의해 부정합 신호경로의 개수와 크기가 줄어 ISI의 효과가 감소함을 보였다.

까를로 스까르파 미술관 건축에 있어서의 컨버전디자인 수법과 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Characteristic of Conversion Design Methods by Carlo Scarpa's Museum Architecture)

  • Museum Architecture, passing through modem times, have been requested to make changes in order to respond to the necessities of current times as well, so that they come to develop various kinds of programs other than a mere exhibition. That is, museum began recognizing the diversity of activities available in the spaces and the openness to the public. And tried to keep up with the changes by linking the museum buildings with local community in urban architecture as a result. Conversion design is methodology aims at reforming old buildings into a museum or revitalizing buildings of historical significance into exhibition center, so that it made possible to utilize the texts of historical, cultural cities, which in turn contribute to the diversity of urban architecture and protection of buildings in environmental crisis. In the sense, the paper analyzes the life-long contribution and dedication of Carlo Scarpa, an Italian architect, in the conversion of museum architecture, and studies the style, techniques, and features witnessed from his architectural works, and finally offers an insight and a directing post to take advantage of diverse ways likely applicable in our urban architectures. Scarpa's features in his museum architecture are classified as follows: First, contrasting expression of reiteration and side by side to express the continuity of time Second, he conveyed implicated meanings through inserting contracted factors of the locality and traditionality. Third, his interest in formative works and handicraft had an influence on shaping conversion space Finally, expression of accidentally to change of a point of view.

브랜드 커뮤니케이션 전략유형과 VMD표현요소를 적용한 패션 플래그쉽 스토어 사례 분석 연구 (A Study on Types of Strategies of Brand Communication and Analysis of a Case of Fashion Flagship Store applied with VMD Expressional Elements)

  • This study aims to suggest a direction for interior space design for fashion flagship stores in the future where the brand identity can become correctly recognized by the consumers, and consumers can have various and differentiated experiences. As research method, theoretical concept review and case study on brand communication and VMD were used. Specifically, for review on brand communication, concept, strategies, and space types were explored, and, for review on VMD, concept, purpose, and expressive elements were researched. Also, the study looked at the relevance between and importance of strategy types of brand communication and VMD. Through these reviews, strategy types of brand communication and analysis criteria for VMD application were written based on the research and analysis of 8 cases in Korean and elsewhere. The results of this study is as follows: Based on marketing-oriented thinking with understanding of VMD, the plan must accurately understand the image and identity pursued by the brand, take into account the store layout, atmosphere, product concept, trend, and display, so that the store can communicate with the customers with cognitive consistency, diversity of senses, and differentiation from other companies. Currently, fashion flagship stores in Korea are concentrated on sales in expressing VMD, and, therefore, are difficult to deliver brand identity to consumers and they require diversity in expressive elements in doing so. Therefore, in the interior space design of fashion flagship stores in Korea, brand communication must enhance cognitive, behavioral, relationship, and culture marketing, and, requires confirming VMD expression in details by linking with brand communication and specific expressions based on it.

훈데르트바써 주택작품의 외부 디자인 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Design Characteristics of External Appearances of Hundertwasser's Housing Projects)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the design characteristics of external appearances of Hundertwasser's housing projects through both literature review and field study, and to understand how Hundertwasser's architecture philosophy was embodied in the design of external appearances so such projects. The subjects of the analysis are: Hundertwasser House; In the Meadow Bad Soden; The Forest Spiral Darmstadt; and The Green Citadel Magdeburg. The conclusion of the study is as follows. The fundamental architecture philosophy of Hunderwasser is the close linkage between mankind and nature. He has proven, through his four housing projects mentioned above, that it is possible to build houses without destroying and in harmony with nature. Hundertwasser had identified vitality, irregularity and diversity as being the source of beauty of nature. Using the human creativity, he had embodied such elements into his housing projects, thus suggesting an ideal housing environment whereby humanity is respected. Hundertwasser made use of organic curved line and spiral shapes that exist in nature when designing his housing projects. His creativity was articulated through vitality, diversity, and irregularity in colour schemes and a wide range of form. Indeed, he was an architect pursuing the underlying nature of both human and nature. The current living environment in Korea can be characterized as being standardized and desolate, which is a result of housing projects being focused too much on functionalism. Through its analysis of Hundertwasser's housing projects, one of the objectives of this study is to contribute to a new design paradigm being called for today, including for housing projects to be more ecological and environmental-friendly. By motivating architects and appealing to their clients, this study hopes to motivate those involved in various housing projects to think progressively. Such an attitude change could assist in transforming and thus enhancing the overall living environment in Korea.

협대역 간섭에 강한 적응형 OFDM 통신 시스템 설계와 성능 평가 (Design and Performance Evaluation of Adaptive OFDM Communication System Robust to the Narrow-band Interference)

  • 열악한 채널 환경에서도 고속으로 통신하는 시스템을 설계하는 것은 매우 중요하다. 고속의 정보 전송이 가능한 FD-OFDM(Frequency Diversity Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) 통신 시스템은 주파수 다이버시티 특성을 가지므로 일반 OFDM 보다 채널에서 발생하는 잡음이나 간섭에 대항하는 능력이 좋다. 그러나 FD-OFDM 시스템도 협대역 잡음이나 간섭에 성능이 매우 나빠진다. 본 논문에서는 강한 협대역 간섭에도 잘 대처할 수 있는 AFD(Adaptive Frequency Diversity)-OFDM 통신 시스템을 제안하고 통신 성능을 분석한다. 시뮬레이션 결과, 일반 OFDM 방식보다 FD-OFDM 방식은 상당한 성능 개선을 보인다. 또한, AFD-OFDM은 강력한 간섭이 있을 때, FD-OFDM 보다 더 우수한 성능을 보인다.

  • 최근 초고속 무선접속 및 3세대 이동통신 이후 시스템의 신규 서비스 도입을 위해 5 GHz 대역에 대한 관심이 고조되고 있다. 이러한 주파수 확보를 위해 수요감소와 경제성이 낮은 6 GHz 이하의 마이크로웨이브 중계주파수 이전을 6 GHz 이상의 대역으로 고려하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 주파수 이전을 대비한 마이크로웨이브 링크설계의 품질분석 수단으로 Vigants & Barnett의 불가동 예측 모델을 검토하였다. 불가동 및 가용율 계산에대한 실례를 보이기 위해 4 GHz 운용 국소를 분석하였으며, 6.7 및 8 GHz 대역으로 이전시의 고려사항과 다이버시티 종류, 비트 오율 및 가용율에 대해 수치 계산한 결과를 제시하였다. 계산 결과에의하면 공간 다이버시티 또는 공간 및 주파수 다이버시티를 혼용하는 경우에만 주파수 이전에 상관없이 년간 목표 가용율을 만족하는 것으로 나타났다.

  • Modular furniture's colors, materials, finishing materials and quantities are determined by users' tastes and it's diverse functions, shapes and sizes are determined by the spaces of users. That is, modules satisfy the diversity of consumers, meet differentiated individuals' tastes and enable communications with consumers rather than delivering one-way messages of designers. The contemporary spaces of the 21st century have been gradually shifting from uniform spaces attaching weight on individuals' individuality and tastes and along with it, the consumption of expensive custom-made furniture and foreign branded furniture is increasing to satisfy those small numbers of consumers who want to express diversified individuality. The modular furniture as a concept which is the most suitable to Mass Customization can be produced in large quantities while considering the diverse needs and tastes of individuals and it does not have absolute shapes or sizes. The concept of modular furniture shows similarities to the creation of fractals that forms shapes by self similarities, repeats and similar transformations which is in the same context as the characteristics of a modular design that presents diversity with scales, materials and jointing points. Fractals will be combined with the digital media of today to present great plasticity and influence designers more heavily. Pursuit of new modeling is a requisite for the creation of future spaces and it will require continuous creativity and the transformable modular furniture will contribute to the satisfaction of diverse consumers' needs. This study is to propose the modular furniture that considers the diversity of the public in the 21st century and their individuality and that will enable interactions between designers and consumers.

보행자 전용도로의 이용자 경관만족 요인분석 -분당 신도시를 중심으로- (The Analysis of User's Degree on Landscape Satisfaction Factors for Pedestrian Road -Case Study of Bun-Dang New Town-)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate factors and variables which have significant effects on landscape satisfaction of urban pedestrian road in Bun-dang new town and to suggest basic information for urban pedestrian road design. These works consist of two phase. First, we tested the Hye-Cheon college students' degree of landscape satisfaction for 37 spots of urban pedestrian road and then selected 10 sports slide by the Sturges' formula. Second, we analysed factors and variables on landscape satisfaction of urban pedestrian road using the semantic differential scale method and then processed using descriptive analysis, factor analysis and multiple linear regression analysis. The major findings of this study can be summarized as follows; 1) The difference of landscape adjectives between the highest score of landscape satisfaction slide and the lowest score landscape satisfaction slide were diversity of vegetation, plenty of the shade of a tree, naturalness and cleanness. 2) Diversity of vegetation, width of road, freedom of danger and diversity of environment can be significant variables of major effects on landscape satisfaction of urban pedestrian road by using the multiple linear regression analysis. 3) Factors covering the landscape satisfaction of urban pedestrian road have been found to be Environment of urban pedestrian road and Constitution of urban pedestrian road. By using the Varimaxs' rotation factor analysis for the number of factors' cumulative percentage has been obtained as 64%. 4) Environment of urban pedestrian road and Constitution of urban pedestrian road can be significant factors of major effects on landscape satisfaction of urban pedestrian road by using the multiple linear regression analysis. In conclusion, the landscape satisfaction factors and variables of urban pedestrian road need to be considered in plan or design the urban pedestrian road.

다수의 송신 안테나가 있는 하향 링크에서 W-CDMA 단말기 다중 경로 검색기의 설계 및 성능분석 (Performance Analysis and Design of a WCDMA Mobile Station's Multi-path Searcher for Down-link with Multiple Transmit Antennas)

  • W-CDMA 하향 링크에서 다수의 송신 안테나가 있을 때, 레일리 페이딩 채널에서 단말기 다중 경로 검색기의 설계 및 성능을 분석한다. 송신 안테나가 1개, 2개, 그리고 4개일 경우 송신기 및 수신기 구조를 제시하고, 이론적 분석을 확증하기 위해 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션으로 수신동작특성(ROC, receiver operating characteristics)을 구하여 이론값과 비교 및 분석을 한다. 또한 double-dwell 직렬 검색기의 파라미터들을 송신 안테나 수에 따라 최적화하는 절차를 제안한다. 이론적 성능 분석 및 시뮬레이션 결과는 송신 안테나가 4개 이상일 경우 post-detection 적분이 필요 없으며, 송신 다이버시티 차수가 증가한다고 항상 검출(detection) 성능이 향상되는 것은 아니고, 오히려 수신 파일럿의 수신 세기가 상대적으로 작을 때는 송신 안테나 수가 증가할 때 검출 성능이 저하되기도 함을 보인다. 본 논문의 성능 분석 결과는 송신 다이버시티 차수를 증가시키는데 매우 실제적인 기준을 제공한다.

뉴욕타임즈를 통해 분석한 패션산업 내 DE&I에 관한 신체담론 (Body discourse on DE&I in the fashion industry analyzed through The New York Times)

  • In the context of a globalized society where diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) have emerged as pivotal values, the fashion industry is undergoing scrutiny for its practices related to body DE&I. This study examines the nature of the discourse surrounding body DE&I within the fashion industry, focusing on how such discussions are shaped, disseminated, and manifested in both the industry and broader society. Critical discourse analysis is applied by utilizing, content from the New York Times and leveraging Fairclough's analytical framework encompassing textual, discursive, and social practices. The findings indicate that the New York Times emphasizes diversity, with a significant focus on the shapes and sizes of women's bodies, developing a narrative centered around women's bodies through visible and representative domains. The analysis suggests conflicted discourse, with prevailing critiques against the fashion industry's standardization of beauty and superficial inclusivity efforts. Moreover, the industry's adaptation to social demands for body DE&I is observed as sporadic, often leveraging non-normative bodies as a marketing strategy rather than genuinely embracing diversity. This study highlights the importance of continuous, in-depth discourse and social practices regarding DE&I within the fashion industry, as well as the need for systemic changes and policies that genuinely reflect societal demands for inclusivity. The findings provide a foundation for future investigations into the multifaceted relationship between fashion discourse, DE&I, and social practices, advocating for a more inclusive and critically aware fashion industry.
