이 연구는 조경설계의 특수성에 기반한 설계개념의 유형을 제시하고 이를 토대로 국내외 도시공원 설계공모 수상작에 나타난 설계개념을 분석하여 조경설계 개념에 대한 이론적 틀을 도출하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 문헌 연구를 통해 조경설계의 설계개념 유형을 가치와 비전, 분석과 해석, 형태와 구조, 프로그램과 요소, 과정과 운영의 다섯 가지로 유형화하고, 이 틀을 활용하여 국내외 공원설계공모 18개에 출품된 96개의 작품에 나타난 설계개념을 분석하였다. 연구 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 현대 도시공원의 복합성으로 인해 설계개념은 주개념과 보조개념의 여러 층위로 제시된다. 둘째, 도시공원 설계에 있어 형태적 개념이 가장 많이 활용되며, 그 다음으로 프로그램적 개념, 가치와 해석적 개념이 도입되는 것으로 파악되었다. 셋째, 형태적 개념이 주개념과 보조개념으로 많이 활용되는 이유는 디자인의 핵심 결과물인 공간의 형태가 설계안의 정체성에 중요한 영향을 미치기 때문으로 판단된다. 넷째, 프로그램적 개념 유형이 다음으로 많이 활용되는 이유는 불특정 다수인 이용자를 대상으로 하는 도시공원이 타 디자인 분야에 비해 프로그램을 생산하는 기획적 특성이 강하기 때문이다. 다섯째, 대상지 속성이 전적으로 설계개념 유형에 영향을 준다고 보기 어려운데 설계개념은 대상지의 객관적 속성을 설계가가 주관적으로 해석하는 복합적이며 창의적인 과정의 결과이며, 특히 설계공모의 경우 공모지침에 영향을 받을 수 있기 때문이다. 이 연구는 조경설계 과정에서 심도 있게 논의되지 않았던 설계개념을 유형화하여 설계창작 과정과 설계작품 비평에 유용한 틀로 활용될 수 있는 기반을 마련했다는데 의의가 있다.

본 연구의 목적은 행정중심도시 현상설계안들을 통해 최근에 적용된 다양한 주동 계획 요소들을 분석해 보는 것이다. 이러한 분석을 통해 우리나라 주거단지에 적용되고 있는 다양한 설계 기법과 최근의 설계 동향을 파악해 볼 수 있을 것이다. 왜냐하면 행정중심도시가 비교적 최근에 실시된 주거단지 현상 설계이며, 우리나라의 주요 설계사무소와 건설 회사들이 참여하였기 때문이다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. : (1) 판상형 주동은 8가지 유형(ㄱ자형 주동이 가장 많이 적용됨)으로 탑상형 주동은 9가지 유형(일자형, L자형, ㅁ자형 주동이 가장 많이 적용됨)으로 분류되었다. (2) 코어 형태는 대응형이 6가지 유형으로 병렬형이 3가지 유형으로 분류되었다. 두 유형 모두 필로티와 연계된 유형들이 가장 많이 적용된 것으로 나타났다. (3) 지붕 형식은 4가지 유형으로 구분되었는데, 평지붕이 전체 단지의 95%에서 적용된 것으로 나타났다. (4) 주동 매스 형식은 5가지 유형으로(일반형과 보이드형이 가장 많이 적용됨) 분류되었으며 입면 구성은 3가지 유형으로(수평분할형이 가장 많이 적용됨) 분류되었다.

In this study, design concepts of Seoul Subway Construction (901∼914) are reviewed in relation to the cases for temporary soil support wall systems which are revealed in highly developed design competitions such as Turnkey and Alternative based on. Especially soil and rock properties, various design schemes for dealing with soil and water pressures, new technology adopted etc are discussed very profoundly and broadly for the better understanding and additional clues for constructing new design technologies.

Due to their natural and social revelation, also their ease and flexibility, human collective behavior and teamwork sports are inspired to introduce optimization algorithms to solve various engineering and scientific problems. Nowadays, meta-heuristic algorithms are becoming some striking methods for solving complex real-world problems. In that respect in the present study, the authors propose a novel meta-innovative algorithm based on soccer teamwork sport, suitable for optimization problems. The method may be referred to as the Soccer League Optimization-based Championship Algorithm, inspired by the Soccer league. This method consists of two main steps, including: 1. Qualifying competitions and 2. Main competitions. To evaluate the robustness of the proposed method, six different benchmark mathematical functions, and two engineering design problem was performed for optimization to assess its efficiency in achieving optimal solutions to various problems. The results show that the proposed algorithm may well explore better performance than some well-known algorithms in various aspects such as consistency through runs and a fast and steep convergence in all problems towards the global optimal fitness value.

It was the purpose of this study that propose architectural design process through analysis of concepts considering regional characteristics. The procedure of this study was as follows : First, classifying design process through investigating paper-survey and case studies. And We would investigate representation process of design concepts applied to design competitions entries. Finally, we would investigate design process applied to buildings in various districts. In the results, we could find that domestic architects were applying to site plan, floor plan, elevation plan, section plan and mass plan-led design process to express design concepts. And according to survey on buildings in various districts, we could verify that architects were applying various design process to express design concepts according to site characteristics. These results could help architects to design appropriately, according to site characteristics.

Recently, architectural design has been changing from formal design to freeform design due to the digitalization of construction industry. Especially, the formal design has been accepted as a design trend recently and applied many times as a design concept in the architectural design competitions such as turn-key. However, various deflects such as water leak and cracks have been occurred because the traditional construction methods had been applied without any revision or adaptation of the formal construction method for the freeform building construction. Therefore this research proposes location point control method for freeform metal panel installation which is focused on the application of LH JinJu new office.

In this paper, a new meta-heuristic optimization method is presented. This new method is named "Numbers Cup Optimization" (NCO). The NCO algorithm is inspired by the sport competitions. In this method, the objective function and the design variables are defined as the team and the team members, respectively. Similar to all cups, teams are arranged in groups and the competitions are performed in each group, separately. The best team in each group is determined by the minimum or maximum value of the objective function. The best teams would be allowed to the next round of the cup, by accomplishing minor changes. These teams get grouped again. This process continues until two teams arrive the final and the champion of the Numbers Cup would be identified. In this algorithm, the next cups (same iterations) will be repeated by the improvement of players' performance. To illustrate the capabilities of the proposed method, some standard functions were selected to optimize. Also, size optimization of three benchmark trusses is performed to test the efficiency of the NCO approach. The results obtained from this study, well illustrate the ability of the NCO in solving the optimization problems.

As a sport with artistic characteristics, figure skating draws upon important elements such as costumes, music, melody interpretation, and choreography. The combination of figure skating music and costume is an important influence on scoring, moreover, it forms some images and characteristics of the athlete. The purpose of this study is to consider and analyze the correlation between figure skating music and costumes. The study mostly focuses on the main international competitions from 2008 to 2010, such as the Winter World Figure Skating Championships, Four Continents Figure Skating Championships, Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final and gala shows of a single female and male and female pairs, ice dances of the medalists. The concepts and characteristics of figure skating music were examined collected the literature quotes internet sites, photos and video, clips through the homepage and internet sites. Focusing on the medalists of the main international competitions from 2008 to 2010, following the analysis results of figure skating by genre of music, the differences among classical music, pop music, movie music, musical music, folk music have been classified, and according to the features of music genres, the differences of items, colors, details and accessories of clothing were brought out. Depending on the features of music genres, figure skating costumes have been changed of items, colors, materials, details and accessories. Thus, the close correlation between the story of figure skating music and atmosphere has been analyzed. This study contributes to improve the completion of programs which is completed through the development of figure skating costumes design that is regarded specially for the artistic value.

The purpose of this study is to collect and analyze costumes presented in international dance sports competitions, and summarize the features of Latin American dance costumes' design. As for research methods, standards of Latin American dance costume design were analyzed via a literature review on dance sports. The scope of the study extended for six years from 2010 to 2015 to include the, top three UK Latin American dance competitions. The results are as follows. First, the silhouette analysis determined that the X silhouette to the lead with, -145 costumes (78%), followed by the H silhouette at 25 (13%), and other at 16 (9%). Amongst those there were 174 one-piece dresses (94%). Furthermore, the analysis on colors of Latin American dance sports costumes revealed that, amongst the 186 costumes, 115 were without color (62%), Bl(black) is the most frequent with 37%, then Wh(white) with 21% and Gr(gray) with 4%. Costumes with colors, based on the six basic colors in the Munsell color system, are comprised most often of red with 12%, the followed by Y(yellow) at 10%, B(blue) at 8%, YR(yellow-red) at 4%, P(purple) at 2%, and G(green) at 2%. Thirdly, the cloth materials of Latin American dance costumes are recognized through image inspection. Among visually recognizable materials, beading materials are the most common with 104 costumes (60%). Shiny materials like mesh, chiffon, organza, lace and burn-out are in 36 costumes in total (19%). Other cloth materials included Luster materials and; non-sheen materials, which were in 46 costumes (25%).
