  • The seismic design guidelines for the pile-supported marginal wharf structures are studied. Various design codes such as AASHTO code or UBC code, which are focused on general structures, may be referred for the design of the wharf structures. However, in developing domestic design code, special consideration should be made concerning the size of the earthquake and the type of the structure. This study aims at the comparison among the various design codes for a specific wharf structure in the process of developing a domestic design code.

인터넷 패션소호쇼핑몰의 방문자를 늘리기 위한 효과적인 촉진 전략 연구 - 여대생의 인터넷 쇼핑몰 방문경로분석을 중심으로 - (A Study on the Effective Promotion Strategy for Increasing Visitors on Internet Fashion Soho Shopping Mall)

  • This study analyzed the effective and suitable promotion method to increase visitors on the internet fashion soho shopping mall by surveying of female university students. The methods were in-depth interviews for 20 students and questionnaires for 363 students. The results indicated that the main routes of visiting the internet fashion shopping mall were keyword search window, banner advertisement window, and open market. Others were price comparison sites, the rank shop, fashion magazines or internet news, information in e-mail, broadcasting sponsor advertisements, name cards, and leaflets. So the effective methods to increase the number of visitors is to implement keyword advertisements, banner advertisements, and enter the open market to expose the brand names and item information. Being on price comparison sites or rank shops, advertisements in the fashion magazines, internet news or e-mail, broadcast sponsorships, and distribution of leaflets or name cards were also effective methods.

  • This paper presents the performance investigation and design technology of a Line Start-up Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (LSPMSM) with super premium efficiency, including a design consideration and evaluation for motor start-up, key performance, and advanced finite element analysis FEA) for the design, improvement and verification, prototype build and test, design and test data comparison with a $Premium^{(R)}$ Efficient Induction Motor (PEIM). To assess the design technology, the LSPMSM prototype was built amended from a PEIM with the same frame, stator punching and rated output. Based on the prototype test, two novel design improvements and analyses have been done to eliminate noise and vibration. Additionally, the comparisons with the PEIM on the power factor, efficiency, frame size and active material consumption indicated that a significant performance improvement and active material cost reduction can be achieved by the LSPMSM.

Analysis and comparison of the 2D/1D and quasi-3D methods with the direct transport code SHARK

  • The 2D/1D method has become the mainstream of the direct transport calculation considering the balance of accuracy and efficiency. However, the 2D/1D method still suffers from stability issues. Recently, a quasi-3D method has been proposed with axial Legendre expansion. Analysis and comparison of the 2D/1D and quasi-3D method is conducted in theory from the equation derivation. Besides, the C5G7 benchmark, the KUCA benchmark and the macro BEAVRS benchmark are calculated to verify the theory comparisons of these two methods with the direct transport code SHARK. All results show that the quasi-3D method has better stability and accuracy than the 2D/1D method with worse efficiency and memory cost. It provides a new option for direct transport calculation with the quasi-3D method.

해상 풍력발전기 기초의 안전율에 관한 설계기준 분석 연구 (Comparison of Design Strands for Safety Factor of Offshore Wind Turbine Foundation)

  • 본 연구는 해상풍력발전기 기초 설계에 사용되는 IEC 61400-3, DNV-OS-J101, GL Wind, EUROCODE, AASHTO 및 국내 설계기준의 설계방법 및 안전율의 정도를 비교, 분석함으로써, 국내에서 해상풍력발전기 기초 설계시 필요한 제반사항을 제공하고자 한다. 해상풍력발전기 기초 설계에 관한 국내외 설계기준을 분석한 결과 설계법은 크게 설계접근법, 하중저항 설계법, 허용응력설계법을 적용하고 있으며, 각 설계법에 따른 안전율 정도를 분석한 결과 하중저항계수 설계법과 설계접근법은 거의 유사한 수준의 안전율을 확보하고 있는 반면, 허용응력설계법에서는 다소 보수적인 안전율을 적용하고 있어 해상풍력발전기 기초의 경제적 설계를 위한 국내 설계기준 개발이 필요할 것으로 판단된다.

  • Architects and designers of the 20th Century made various efforts to establish new design languages reflecting the changes of society, the times, and environment. They used furniture, especially chairs, as controversial items of aesthetic value, society and ideology. Le Corbusier and Alvar Aalto are furniture designers as well as architects, who adopted this ‘spirit of the times’ actively and have greatly contributed to modernism. This study will help us to understand the diversity of design since modernism, by comparing these two designers' furniture design. It also covers the common factors In modern furniture design, and analyses their individuality and likeness In design. The following is a comparison of furniture design by Le Corbusier and Alvar Aalto. Le Courbusier linked International design and Aalto linked Rational design and Organic concept design to their furniture, just as they did in their architecture. They were able to establish the base of modern furniture design by adapting new concepts and pursuing humanism. In structure, Le Corbusier's furniture Is simple and proportional. It demonstrates a sophisticated geometric composition, mechanical beauty. On the other hand, Aalto rationally linked nature with human requirements and his furniture is organic and in harmony with geometric structure. In function, Le Corbusier's furniture is standardized and prefabricated. He designed for the user so they could choose to use the furniture efficiently to suit their needs. In comparison with Le Corbusier, Aalto Invented the ‘Stacking Chair’ which allows a more effective use of space and reflected the structure of the human body to improve the user's comfort. In materials and techniques, Le Corbusier used new materials like metal or leather, and attempted new ways such as welding, prefabrication, and standardization for production. On the contrary, Alto mainly used birch, which is the traditional material in Finland, and tried new bent wood techniques and joining methods.

  • 이 논문은 중국과 일본의 상이한 미적, 철학적 차이의 이해와 융합을 기반으로 그래픽 디자인 분야에서 여백을 통한 새로운 표현 창출을 위한 방법에 대해 논했다. 그래픽 디자인에서 동양의 특징적인 여백을 표현하는 것은 디자인의 예술적 표현과 문화적 의미를 풍부하게 하고 디자인의 창작의 가능성을 높을 수 있다. 이 연구에서는 먼저, 중국과 일본의 미술 및 디자인에서의 여백에 대한 인식과정과 표현과정을 중국의 전통회화의 철학과 일본의 현대 그래픽 디자인의 방법이 적용된 포스터 디자인을 통해 비교∙분석한다. 이를 기반으로 포스터 디자인에서 여백을 통해 중국 현대 그래픽 디자인의 새로운 접근방법으로써 융합의 개념을 적용해 그래픽 작업에서의 표현의 가능성을 확장한다. 또한, 여백에 대한 융합적 개념에 의한 표현 창출은 자신의 작품에 새로운 가능성을 제공한다.
