3차원 콘크리트 거푸집의 설계 및 시공성 개선 (Design and Constructability Improvement of 3D Concrete Formworks through Analysis of Construction Applications)

  • Aesthetic design guidelines of bridges were developed in many countries. As iconic structures, bridges need to be attractive and durable as they serve many generations. In this paper, a new design process of concrete structures considering 3D shapes and texture was proposed. The 3D design needs to consider function, economy, advanced technology, tradition and local culture. 3D printers enable the combination of artistic design and engineering design for concrete structures. Parametric modeling with iconic design was utilized to produce 3D formworks. As a pilot project, a railway bridge girder was designed and the proposed technologies were applied. Detail requirements to improve constructability and quality of concrete surfaces were derived. From the pilot applications, design guidelines were suggested.

  • A growing number of larger and bigger tunnels are being constructed, along with the continuing enhancement of road design speed, thereby increasing the frequency of vehicles using tunnels. For such reasons, a fire in tunnels may lead to such situations. Gases and heat caused by fires are to be blamed for such disasters, as well as the development of vehicles leads to the construction of large tunnels. Therefore this study is to provide for the safety of public and rescue personnel in the event of a fire within the tunnel system. For these purpose, the tunnel system must be protected from collapse during a specified time period. This study introduced the role of ITA, it is to developed guidelines for techniques and materials to answer these structural requirements and make tunnels and their ancillary structures more resistant to fire damage.

성당 실내공간에 대한 유니버설 디자인 관점 분석 - 부산교구 6개 사례의 전례공간을 중심으로 - (An Analysis of Interior Space on Catholic Churches from the Perspective of Universal Design - Focused on Liturgical Spaces of 6 Cases in Busan Parish -)

  • Liturgical space of Catholic churches should be equal conditions for everyone who wants to participate in the liturgy. However liturgical space is standardized for healthy adults without considering the elderly and the disabled. This study intended to suggest the guidelines required for the construction of Catholic churches from the perspective of universal design for all believers to equally participate in liturgy. The results of the study are as follows. First, as a result of the analysis of the liturgical spaces in six Catholic churches from the perspective of universal design, although the principle of universal design was not appropriately applied to all liturgical spaces of a Catholic church, there were cases where it was appropriately applied in part to each of the Catholic churches. Therefore, this study suggested the examples of exemplary installation by space, which is considered to be the materials that can be referenced and utilized when planning the liturgical spaces in the Catholic churches from the perspective of universal design. Second, the obligations required by the building regulations were installed in six cases, but the application of the universal design was insufficient in other spaces. Therefore, more careful consideration for users is considered necessary during space planning. Third, the construction of Catholic churches should be planned, taking into account the liturgical law; for this purpose, the provision of the guidelines for Catholic architectural planning further than the guidelines for architecture by each diocese is necessary. At this time, the collaboration between the Catholic officials and the architects and designers with knowledge of Catholic doctrine is required.

  • The Railroad Safety Act's regulation reads as follows. "The Minister of Construction and Transportation may qualify and authorize the product to guarantee performance and safety of parts, machine, and device used in Railway fields." Another regulation reads as follows."“The guidelines about targets, standards, and procedures of Quality and Authority in first provision are decided as Ministry of Construction and Transportation Decree." The software used in rail cars and facilities is considered as a railway product. Therefore, it is qualified and authorized for acquiring the safety of rail cars and facilities. The software businesses shall again a Quality and Authority for applying a software to the rail cars and facilities. This paper regulates some guidelines that are needed to develop a software. The procedures that a software developer performs are divided by plan, requirement, design, implementation, and maintenance. The procedures that a software verification person performs are classified by verification plan, requirement verification, design verification, implementation verification, testing verification, maintenance verification, and safety activity. The entire processes and detailed activities to develope and verify a software are described as new guidelines.

  • Design of civil infrastructures is generally based on 2-D drawings and analyses. Design provisions also specify the limit states using member based equations. Most construction projects are done through collaboration of engineers who have different specialized knowledge. Information technologies can dramatically enhance the performance of the collaboration. For the information transfer, we need a mediator between engineers. Object based 3-D models are useful for the communication and for the owners who have to maintain whole the information of infrastructures. In this paper, basic guidelines for the 3-D design according to design phases. Adequate interoperability of 3-D objects from any CAD system is essential for the collaboration. Owners, contractors and design consultants were considered as users of 3-D objects. Cost and performance of each design phases was investigated through the existing data.

  • A decade ago, the technology of strengthening structures using FRP composites was primitive, with very few publications. Nowadays, the potential growth of research is achieved to the wide recognition of the importance of this new technology. In fact, significant practical applications have been preceded and the development of design methods have been achieved. However, the specific design methods for each applications are still lack of design skills in spite of the wide applications of FRP composites in the construction industry. The purpose of this paper is to report the development of design methods for FRP-strengthened structures by technical review design methods and guidelines of fiber reinforced composites.

BIM 모델의 완성도를 높이기 위한 품질검토항목의 룰 개발 - 국내 BIM 지침을 중심으로 - (Development of Rule for Quality Checking Items to Raise Quality of BIM Model -Focusing on the Domestic BIM Guidelines-)

  • BIM 지침을 통해 기본적인 모델링 기준을 제공하고 있지만, BIM 모델링 업무를 수행하는 참여자 별로 기준이 상이하고 BIM 모델의 활용목적에 따른 적용기준이 다르기 때문에 BIM 적용 지침에 대한 이행여부의 평가는 BIM 모델의 활용목적에 따른 품질을 만족시키기 위한 중요한 절차이다. 하지만 지침에 따라 작성된 BIM 모델의 검토항목 및 방법이 제시되지 않고 있다. 본 연구는 BIM 모델의 완성도를 높이기 위해 국내 BIM 지침의 BIM 기반 품질검토 항목을 도출하고 자동 품질검토 수행을 위한 룰 정의서를 제시한다. 먼저 국내 BIM 지침을 분석하여 품질검토 항목을 도출하고 플로우차트 및 의사코드를 활용한 구조화를 통해 룰 정의서를 작성한다. 작성된 룰 정의서를 기반으로 사례적용을 실시하여 자동 품질검토 과정을 수행한다. 본 연구는 3차원의 방대한 데이터를 포함한 BIM 모델의 설계품질과 완성도를 높이는데 기여할 것이다. 향후 활용목적에 따른 BIM 지침의 개발이 필수적으로 이루어져야 하며 BIM모델의 품질검토를 위한 구체적인 절차나 기준이 제공되어야 할 것이다.

시공단계 BIM 활용을 위한 모델 요구조건 체크리스트 개발 - MEP를 중심으로 - (Development of Model Requirements Checklist for Utilizing BIM in Construction Phase - Focused on the MEP -)

  • 국내 외 건설공사에서 건물의 전 생애주기 동안에 발생되는 정보의 관리 및 통합이 가능한 BIM 적용이 활발해지고 있다. BIM을 시공단계에 활용할 경우 공기단축, 재시공 감소, 협업능력 향상 등의 효과가 있다. 그러나 국내 BIM 지침서 정의수준 부족, 설계 기준의 미비 때문에 시공단계에 BIM을 적용하는데 한계가 있다. 특히, 설계 단계에 비해 시공단계에서는 MEP 분야는 그 중요성이 훨씬 커진다. 따라서 본 연구는 시공단계의 MEP 분야에서 BIM활용도를 높이기 위하여, 시공 BIM MEP 모델 요구조건 체크리스트를 개발하였다. 체크리스트 개발을 위하여 국내 외 BIM 지침서 및 시공 BIM이 적용된 민간 공공 공사의 사례를 분석하였다. 지침서 및 사례를 토대로 작성객체 31개, 속성기준 31개, 총 62개의 시공 BIM 모델 요구조건을 도출하였다. 도출한 62개의 요구조건을 활용목적과 필요사항으로 구분하여 시공 BIM MEP모델 요구조건 체크리스트를 제안하였다. 본 연구에서 제안한 체크리스트를 실무에서 활용한다면 시공단계 MEP BIM 모델의 활용도를 향상시킬 수 있을 것으로 기대된다. 또한 학문적인 측면에서 시공단계 BIM 모델의 표준화된 지침서 개발에 활용될 기초연구로서 의미가 있다.

백화점 수퍼마켓의 머천다이징을 고려한 실내디자인 지침에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Interior Design Guidelines in consideration of Merchandising of Department Store Supermarket)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the details of the overall interior design of the department store supermarket retail space, interior design and development, seeks to help change. In this study, a range of research the department store supermarket located in the major department store. Since 2012, new construction or renewal has been done in a department store, was investigated by selecting a total of five locations of two places in the premium supermarket. Conclusions are as followings ; First, In-store merchandising strategies, store configuration strategy, product mix strategies, and the layout plan considering the advanced strategies. Secondly, the interior guidelines are, (1)VP should be planned as an expression of a company or brand management strategies to visualize a concept image of product planning stages of merchandising to entering the store to induce curiosity to customers. (2)PP is by planning purposes, the use of lighting, directing structure, color harmony, by utilizing such as props and small parts must be able to attract attention. (3)IP is the customer to organize display, depending on the type of the display items to facilitate fraud, and the fixture plan in association with it, the customer selects a product must induced to purchase.

Outrigger System Design Considerations

  • Outrigger systems have been widely used in super tall buildings constructed since the 1980's, eclipsing previously favored tubular frame systems. However, outriggers are not listed as a seismic lateral load resisting system in any code. Design guidelines are not available. The CTBUH formed the Outrigger Working Group to develop the first-ever outrigger system design guide with an historical overview, considerations for outrigger application, effects on building behavior and design recommendations including concerns specific to this structural system such as differential column shortening and construction sequence impacts. Project examples are presented for various outrigger system types, including advancements in their technology. The guide provides a basis for future discussions on this important topic.
