Purpose: The significance of the healthcare industry has grown exponentially in recent years due to the impact of the fourth industrial revolution and the ongoing pandemic. Accordingly, this study aimed to examine domestic healthcare-related patents comprehensively. Big data analysis was used to present the trend and status of patents filed in nursing. Methods: The descriptive review was conducted based on Grant and Booth's descriptive review framework. Patents related to nursing was searched in the Korea Intellectual Property Rights Information Service between January 2016 to December 2020. Data analysis included descriptive statistics, phi-coefficient for correlations, and network analysis using the R program (version 4.2.2). Results: Among 37,824 patents initially searched, 1,574 were selected based on the inclusion criteria. Nursing-related patents did not specify subjects, and many patents (41.4%) were related to treatment in the healthcare delivery phase. Furthermore, most patents (56.1%) were designed to increase effectiveness. The words frequently used in the titles of nursing-related patents were, in order, "artificial intelligence," "health management," and "medical information," and the main terms with high connection centrality were "artificial intelligence" and "therapeutic system." Conclusion: The industrialization of nursing is the best solution for developing the healthcare industry and national health promotion. Collaborations in education, research, and policy will help the nursing industry become a healthcare industry of the future. This will prime the enhancement of the national economy and public health.

Purpose: This paper is a critical review of descriptive phenomenological methodology in Korean nursing research. We propose constructive suggestions for the improvement of descriptive phenomenological methodology in light of Husserl's phenomenological approaches. Methods: Using the key words of 'phenomenology,' 'experience,' and 'nursing,' we identify and analyze 64 Korean empirical phenomenological studies (selected from 282 studies) published in 14 Korean nursing journals from 2005 to 2018. The PubMed and the Korea Citation Index were used to identify the studies. Results: Our analysis shows that all the reviewed articles used Giorgi's or Colaizzi's scientific phenomenological methodology, without critical attention to Husserl's philosophical phenomenological principles. Conclusions: The use of scientific phenomenology in nursing research, which originated in North America, has become a global phenomenon, and Korean phenomenological nursing research has faithfully followed this scholarly trend. This paper argues that greater integration of Husserlian phenomenological principles into scientific phenomenological methodology in nursing research, such as participant-centered bracketing and eidetic reduction, is needed to ensure that scientific phenomenology lives up to its promise as a research methodology.
Purpose: This study critically reviewed nursing research psychotropic drugs that has been published in Korean journals. Another aim of this study was to identify trends in nursing research on psychotropic drugs and make suggestions for further study in Korea. Methods: Data were collected from degree theses and original articles on psychotropic drugs published in Korean journals from 1992 to 2013. Thirty-four articles were analyzed of which at least one nursing author participated in the study. Search keywords were "psychotropic drug" and "mentally ill patient & medication". Results: For the research design, quasi-experimental study was 58.8%, descriptive study was 17.7%, descriptive correlational study was 8.8%, qualitative study was 8.8% and model development research was 5.9%. Variables measured were knowledge of medication & symptom management, knowledge of disease, side effects, drug attitude, medication pattern, diet & activity, quality of life, and self-care. Conclusion: Despite recent increased interest in psychiatric medication, research on psychotropic drugs remains very limited, particularly regarding findings from a nurse's perspective. More research project should be designed to develop programs for the treatment of side effects from a nursing view-point.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze research trends, using the keyword home health care, in articles published in the Journal of Korean Academic Society of Home Health Care Nursing over the past 10 years. Methods: An analysis was conducted of 50 home health care-based studies chosen from among the 206 studies published in the Journal of Korean Academic Society of Home Health Care Nursing from 2010 to 2019. The analysis focused on research methodology and keyword. Descriptive statistics were used to examine the frequency distribution of research methods and keywords. Results: Study participation was mainly focused on nurses (52.0%). Most of the studies used quantitative methods (96.0%), and 43 studies (86.0%) used self-report structured questionnaires. The most commonly used data analyses methods were descriptive statistics, t-test, analysis of variance, correlation, and regression. Major keywords were home health nursing, elderly care facility, visiting nurse, home care service, home healthcare nurse, home care agencies, long-term care, and home care. Conclusion: The results of this study identified current trends and interests in the Journal of Korean Academic Society of Home Health Care Nursing. This study suggests that future studies include a variety of research methods and maintain appropriate standards of research ethics.
The purpose of this research is to study the types of name spectrum and their characteristics of domestic men's wear brands focusing on formal and casual wear and also examine the differences based on the type of brands' product and brand style. Total 184 of men's wear brands, which were consisted of 66 formal wear brands and 84 casual wear brands, were selected from '2009 Korea Fashion Yearbook'. For data analysis, quantitatively evaluated the frequency and qualitatively evaluated the image of brand product and the meaning of brand name. The result as follows; 1. The domestic fashion brands for men's wear appeared to have four types of name spectrum. The descriptive name was the most frequently showed, and followed by arbitrary, suggestive, and coined name. For formal wear brands, four types of name spectrum were appeared in the order of descriptive, suggestive, coined, and arbitrary name. In casual wear brands, three types of name spectrum were appeared in the order of descriptive, arbitrary, and suggestive name. 2. The characteristics of men's brand name according to their name spectrum was as follows.; In the descriptive brand names, person's name was used the most and some ascribed the characteristics, feature or geographic location of the product. The suggestive brand names contained images and symbols of the product and also implied the relevant benefit information in a particular product context. In the arbitrary brand name, they imply the various meanings according to the product and are made up of either coined or natural. For the coined name, some bear the ideology or symbolized the characteristics of product itself. 3. The descriptive name spectrum showed the most in domestic menswear brands, regardless of the brand type. Except this, there were differences in the type and the frequency of name spectrum depending on the brand type.

The descriptive-type question is appropriate for deep thinking ability evaluation, but it is not easy to grade. Since, even though same grading criterion, the graders produce different scores, we need the objective evaluation system. However, the system needs the Korean analysis. As the descriptive-type answering is described with the compound sentence, the system has to analyze the compound sentence. This paper develops the Korean syntactic-semantic analysis system for compound sentence and evaluates performance of the system. This system selects the modifiee of the word phrase using syntactic-semantic constraint and semantic dictionary. The 93% accurate rate shows that the system is effective. This system will be utilized in descriptive-type grading and Korean processing.

Despite the growing attention on artificial intelligence-based automated scoring technology as a support method for the introduction of descriptive items in school environments and large-scale assessments, there is a noticeable lack of foundational research in mathematics compared to other subjects. This study developed an automated scoring model for two descriptive items in first-year middle school mathematics using the Random Forest algorithm, evaluated its performance, and explored ways to enhance this performance. The accuracy of the final models for the two items was found to be between 0.95 to 1.00 and 0.73 to 0.89, respectively, which is relatively high compared to automated scoring models in other subjects. We discovered that the strategic selection of the number of evaluation categories, taking into account the amount of data, is crucial for the effective development and performance of automated scoring models. Additionally, text preprocessing by mathematics education experts proved effective in improving both the performance and interpretability of the automated scoring model. Selecting a vectorization method that matches the characteristics of the items and data was identified as one way to enhance model performance. Furthermore, we confirmed that oversampling is a useful method to supplement performance in situations where practical limitations hinder balanced data collection. To enhance educational utility, further research is needed on how to utilize feature importance derived from the Random Forest-based automated scoring model to generate useful information for teaching and learning, such as feedback. This study is significant as foundational research in the field of mathematics descriptive automatic scoring, and there is a need for various subsequent studies through close collaboration between AI experts and math education experts.
