Information on recognition states of female dental technicians and female students in department of dental technology possible occupational mind and other general characteristics was gathered. Analysis of data was processed by use of X2-test and multiple regression analysis. Results: The recognition states of occupational satisfaction were higher in female students than female dental technicians(p<.05). They were observed that between respondents with more than five years of work and less than five years of career(p<.05). Statistically significant differences were observed in recognition values of female dental technicians occupational satisfaction between high and low groups of internal characteristic of their position and all ceramic part(p<.05). Conclusion: For woman dental technicians, the most predictive variables for recognition values of occupational satisfaction were an age, between groups, which of part and career(p<.05). Finally, this result suggests the facts that in order to achieve self-realization through the work experience, women herself should get rid of the dichotomous diagram and should change the consciousness of traditional role normals.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was evaluate the validity of polyurethane model fabricated by intra oral scanning method. Methods: Ten sam cases of stone models were manufactured from master model, and polyurethane models were made with the intra oral scanning and CNC milling method. One examiner individually measured 6 distances(intercanine distance, intermolar distance, two dental arch lengths(right, left) and two diagonal of dental arch lengths(right, left) on the stone models and the polyurethane models. The Mann-Whitney U test(${\alpha}$=0.05) were used for statistical analysis. Results: The mean difference between measurements made directly on the stone models and those made on the polyurethane models was 0.31-0.38mm. No statistically differences between the two groups were founded 4 distances(p>0.05), but 2 distances were statistically significant(p<0.05). Conclusion: Stone models showed larger than polyurethane models fabricated by intra oral scanning method.

  • Purpose: To study the perception and satisfaction of in-person and online classes for dental technology students. Methods: A total of 420 questionnaires were distributed to dental technology students between June 1 and June 30, 2021. Of these, 225 questionnaires were assessed using frequency analysis, one-way analysis of variance, Pearson's Chi-squared test, and independent t-tests via IBM SPSS Statistics ver. 22.0 (IBM). Results: For theory subjects, satisfaction was higher for online classes than in-person classes (p=0.001). For practical subjects, satisfaction was higher for in-person classes than online classes (p=0.002). Both the learning effect and motivation for learning were higher for in-person classes than online classes (p=0.001). Conclusion: When in-person and online classes become coexistent, there should be educational guidelines for improving the quality and effectiveness of learning in these different contexts.

Methods: To conduct our evaluation, we surveyed a group of 118 students from the Department of Dental Laboratory Technology at the college of Jinju city from August 31 to September 11, 2020. The collected data was evaluated through frequency analysis, descriptive statistics analysis, one-way ANOVA, and regression analysis. Results: The analysis revealed that the steadiness type had the highest and the dominance type had the lowest major satisfaction level by DISC behavior type. The job preference was different for each DISC behavior type, and higher the preference for stability and development, the higher the degree of satisfaction with the major. Conclusion: These results suggest that DISC behavior type, major satisfaction, and job preference are all related. Therefore, these factors should be considered when implementing career guidance and educational programs for college students.

Methods: A survey was conducted from October 1 to 30, 2021, on 188 dental technology students. The collected data were processed using the IBM SPSS IBM SPSS Statistics ver. 22.0 statistical program (IBM), and frequency, factor, and one-way ANOVA analyses were performed, for which the significance was set at 0.05. Results: It was found that the main online learning motivation factors were the usefulness of the learning content, interest, and confidence in the activities, the relationships with the teachers and friends, the feedback, and learning satisfaction. The factors that reduced the students' online learning motivation were interaction difficulties, maladaptation to the self-directed learning environment, the inadequate number of learning activities, and activity difficulty. Conclusion: Based on the identified online class motivation and demotivation factors, better systematic management and increased research are needed to improve the quality of non-face-to-face classes.

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to verify the effects of self-esteem and critical thinking disposition on dental laboratory technology students' field practice stress. Methods: The subjects of the study were 198 dental laboratory technology students with clinical practice experience located in Gyeongsangbuk-do and Gyeongsangnam-do. The collected data were analyzed by t-test, ANOVA, correlation analysis, and linear regression analysis using IBM SPSS Statistics ver. 22.0 (IBM). Results: The average self-esteem, critical thinking disposition, and field practice stress scores were 3.76, 3.50, and 2.40, respectively. There was a significant correlation between self-esteem, critical thinking disposition, and field practice stress. It was found that the higher the self-esteem, the lower was the field practice stress. On the contrary, among the sub-items of critical thinking disposition, when intellectual fairness increased, the field practice stress decreased; however, when healthy skepticism increased, the field practice stress increased. Conclusion: Self-esteem and critical thinking disposition were both found to have a substantial effect on field practice stress. Therefore, various educational programs need to increase self-esteem and cultivate critical thinking skills for a successful field practice and field practice stress relief of laboratory technology students.
