포화된 모래지반의 액상화후 과잉간극수압 소산양상 (Dissipation Pattern of Excess Pore Pressure after Liquefaction in Saturated Sand Deposits)

  • The purpose of this study is to understand the dissipation pattern of excess pore pressure after liquefaction which governs the post-liquefaction behavior of liquefied sand deposits. 1-g shaking table tests were carried out on 5 different kinds of sands, all of which had high liquefaction potentials. During the tests excess pore pressure at various depths, and surface settlements were measured. The measured curve of the excess pore pressure dissipation was simulated using the solidification theory, and from the analysis of the velocity of dissipation, the dissipation pattern of excess pore pressure after liquefaction was examined. The dissipation velocity of excess pore pressure after liquefaction had a linear correlation with the effective grain size ( $D_{10}$) divided by the coefficient of uniformity ( $C_{u}$), and the increase in the initial relative density of the ground played a role in shifting this correlation curve toward an increased dissipation velocity. From the correlation, an approximate method was recommended for prediction of the dissipation curve of excess pore pressure after liquefaction in saturated sand deposits.s.s.

인구밀도경사함수를 이용한 도시축소현상 진단 - 영주시를 사례로 - (A Diagnosis of Shrinking City Using Population Gradient Curve: A Case Study on the City of Yeong-ju)

  • 전 세계적인 저성장 기조로 인하여 주요 선진국에서는 도시축소문제가 도시정책의 주요 이슈로 대두되고 있다. 국토연구원의 연구결과(2016)에 따르면 우리나라 77개 도시 중 23개 도시가 지속적 또는 일시적 축소도시로 진단되었다. 그러나 축소도시를 진단하는 기준은 단순한 인구통계학적인 측면에 머물러 있으며, 도시의 공간적 축소패턴은 고려되지 않고 있다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 도시공간구조 분석방법의 하나인 인구밀도경사함수를 이용하여 다핵도시인 영주시의 특성을 고려한 도시축소현상을 진단하였다. 진단결과, 영주시는 CBD의 인구밀도 및 인구밀도경사도가 증가하는 축소도시의 특성을 보이고 있다. 동지역의 경우 CBD의 인구밀도 및 인구밀도경사도가 감소하는 스프롤(sprawl) 현상이 나타났다. 또한, 풍기읍의 경우 CBD의 인구밀도만 감소하는 단순축소 현상이 나타났다. 본 연구결과는 한 도시 내에서도 중심지마다 공간변화의 패턴이 상이하게 나타날 수 있다는 것을 보여주었으며, 다핵구조를 갖는 도시의 경우에는 도시 전체뿐만 아니라 세부 지역에 대한 개별적인 진단이 필요하다는 시사점을 도출하였다.

Flexible device 상용화를 위한 flexible supercapacitor 연구

  • 스마트폰, 태블릿 등의 디바이스의 발전에 따라 휴대성이 매우 중요해졌다. 디바이스의 크기, 두께, 유연성에 관한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있으며, 그 중에서도 energy storage device의 flexibility를 향상시키는 연구가 주목 받고 있다. Energy storage device의 성능 향상을 위해서는 power density를 높여야 하며 flexibility를 위해서는 전극판과 전극소재 간의 부착력을 증가시켜야 한다. 본 연구에서는, power density와 소재 간의 부착성을 개선시키기 위해 기존 graphene보다 표면적이 넓으며 power density가 좋고 전극판과의 부착성이 좋은 hybrid GNP-CNT를 사용하였다. 그리고 Ag NWs/CNT PET film 을 사용하여 전도성이 있는 flexible한 전극판을 사용하였다. SEM 측정을 통해 표면 분석을 하였고, sample에 패턴을 하고 Bending test를 하여 부착성을 확인하였다. 또한, CV curve를 측정하여 supercapacitor의 특성을 확인하였다. 향후, $MnO_2$ NWs를 hybrid GNP-CNT에 합성시킴으로 energy storage device의 energy density를 더욱 향상시키는 연구를 진행할 것이다.

  • The Preisach model needs a density function to simulate the hysteresis phenomena. To obtain this function, many experimental data obtained from the first order transition curves are required to get accurate density function. However, it is difficult to perform this procedure, especially for the hard magnetic materials. In this paper, we compare the density function obtained from the experimental data with that computed from the mathematical function like the Gaussian function, and propose a simple technique to get mathematical equation of the density function or Everett function which is obtained from the initial curve, major and minor loop.

  • Surrface texturing of tribological application is another attractive technology of friction reducing. Also, reduction of friction is therefore considered to be a necessary requirement for improved efficiency of machine. In this paper attempts to investigate the effect of density for micro-scale dimple pattern using photolithography on bearing steel flat mated with pin-on-disk. We demonstrated the lubrication mechanism for a Stribeck curve, which has a relationship between the friction coefficient and a dimensionless parameter for lubrication condition. It is found that friction coefficient is depended on the density of surface pattern. It was thus verified that micro-scale dimple could affect the friction reduction considerably under mixed and hydrodynamic lubrication conditions from based on friction map. Lubrication condition regime has an influence on the friction coefficient induced the density of micro dimple.

  • Various methods have been investigated to increase photon density in soft tissue, an important factor in low-level laser therapy. Previously we developed a compression-controlled low-level laser probe (CCLLP) utilizing mechanical negative compression, and experimentally verified its efficacy. In this study, we used Bezier curves to numerically simulate the skin deformation and photon density variation generated by the CCLLP. In addition, we numerically modeled changes in optical coefficients due to skin deformation using a linearization technique with appropriate parameterization. The simulated results were consistent with both human in vivo and porcine ex vivo experimental results, confirming the efficacy of the CCLLP.

  • 화강풍화토지반(SP)의 밀도와 함수비 그리고, 점성토지반(ML)의 함수비 변화가 불도저 궤도 차량의 주행성능에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위하여, 강원도 춘천군 역골지역에서 실물크기의견 인력시험을 실시하였다. 시험결과로부터, 최적견인력거동은 함수비 뿐만아니라 밀도에도 크게 영향을 받음을 알았다. 또한, 본 연구에서는 지반상태에 따라서 변하는 견인력거동의 최적점 결정방법을 제안하였으며, 화강풍화토지반의 밀도에 따른 최적견인력과 최적슬립을 구하였다.

  • This study was carried out to measure the variations of potential and current density with polymers. The results were particularly examined to identify the influences on potential and rate of various factors including temperature and pH. The Tafel slope for anodic dissolution was determined by the polarization effect depending on these conditions. The optimum conditions were established for each case. The second anodic current density peak and maximum current density were designated as the relative polarization sensitivity$(I_r/I_f)$. The mass transfer coefficient value$(\alpha)$ was determined with the Tafel slope for anodic dissolution based on the polarization effect with optimum conditions.

전력밀도함수를 이용한 노면형상 생성에 관한 연구 (Generation of Road Surface Profiles with a Power Spectral Density Function)

  • To analyzed ride quality and to predict durability in vehicle dynamics, it is essential to describe a road surface profile precisely. This paper presents a technique to generate road surface profiles in a spatial domain by using a power spectral density function. A single track power spectral density function is proposed to describe a road surface profile, which is also applicable for multi-track vehicle response analysis, The derived road surfaces are compared to ISO(International Organization for Standardization) standards and classifications, proposed by the MIRA(Motor Industry Research Association). The methodology in this paper is also proposed to generate road roughness description with a limited external data. A small amount of external curve data is combined with an internal PSD function to generate road surface roughness in a spatial domain.

  • We derived the dispersion curves and spectral density for several models constructed from physical property data of representative geology in Korea. Comparison between monopole and dipole sources, between physical properties, and between dispersion curves and spectral density maps have been made. The result was very helpful in sonic data acquisition as well as velocity determination.
