대학생 소비자의 화폐사용 태도와 신용카드에 대한 태도가 재정관리 행동에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Attitudes toward the Use of Money and Credit Cards on the Financial Management Practices of College Students)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine how college students' attitudes toward the use of money and credit cards have affected their financial management practices. The data were collected from 231 college students in Seoul using by a self administered questionnaire. Frequencies, factor analyses, t-tests, ANOVA, and multiple regression were conducted using by SPSSWIN 12.0. The results from this study were as follows. First, results of the factor analysis of attitudes toward the use of money were divided into 5 dimensions such as instrument of ostentation, sufficiency of desire, source of anxiety, diligence and economy, and instrument of preparation for the future. Attitudes toward the uses of credit cards were divided into 3 dimensions, such as positive affection, cognition of reverse function, and attitudes of use-behavior. Financial management practices were divided into 2 dimensions: planning and performing. Second, social-demographical & economical factors, among such as gender, allowance, financial stress, number of credit -cards possessed, and expenses of credit -cards totals each month were significant in the regression analyses for the financial management practices. The results indicate that attitudes toward the use of money have a bigger effect on financial management practices than attitudes towards credit cards. Specifically, attitudes toward the use of money as an instrument of preparation for the future had the most effect on the financial management practices. These results imply that for sound financial management practices to take place, there needs to be education on attitudes toward the use of money.

의사 특성에 따른 외래 진료내용의 변이 (A Study on the Practice Variations According to Physician Characteristics)

  • It is well known that a physician's personal characteristic affects his practice pattern. Furthermore, a physician's specialty has powerful influences on his practice pattern. However, despite the fact that specialization has received the most attention for its influence on physician's service behavior, few studies have been conducted on the variations of contents and volume of physician's services. This study has intended to identify factors influencing the practice variations according to various physician characteristics. There are some other evidences that medical care providers are different in using of health services and resources in Korea. Four physician characteristics were selected for the analysis, two demographical factors, age and sex, and two practice factors, place of practice and medical specialty. Also, three indicators of service amount (total amount of insurance claim bill, number of visits per case, number of prescriptions per case) were selected. From the pool of insurance claims for ambulatory care received by the Korean National Federation of Medical Insurance(NFMI), 84,898 cases were randomly sampled. In the meantime using physician database of NFMI, 613 general practitioners (GP), 107 regular family physicians (FP), 483 'grandfather' family physicians(GFP), and 1,157 specialist practitioners(SP) were randomly sampled. Their different practice contents were compared concerning the specialty, age groups, sex, and practice sites (urban-rural) Specialist physicians tend to provide more costly care than do generalists. General practitioners and family physicians usually make fewer following visits and prescriptions. Age is also the important factor in determining the amount of services, which is highest at the physician's age group of 40's. Female doctors and urban practitioners use much more resources than their counterparts respectively. Research findings suggest that physician's characteristics particularly the specialty can affect practice patterns and resource utilizations. Other characteristics such as age and sex are not controllable but physician's specialty is relatively easily controllable during the entire phases of policy implementation. This is all the more true in the individual's initial decision of his specialty. Specialization therefore should receive policymaker's attention for its potential influence on medical care utilization and health care expenditure.

병원 이용자의 의료서비스 만족도 조사 (Patient's Satisfaction with Medical Care Services in Hospital)

  • The purpose of this study was to determine factors influencing patient satisfaction with medical services in hospital, which is classified into environmental aspect, human services and procedural services. Based on the results of literature review, the study focused on effects of social-demographical factors on patient satisfaction. The environmental aspect of medical care services included medical equipment and facilities, hygiene, ventilation, heating and air-conditioning, waiting and resting space, ward space and parking facilities. Procedural service included registration process, bill payment, waiting time after registration, examination and prescription as well as appointment process. Human services consisted of physicians listening to stories of patients, examination duration, physicians' explanation and physicians' service. As for nurses, explanation about disease, examination procedure and results, kindness and nursing care were evaluated. Services provided by other staff members were also evaluated. Patient satisfaction, defined as individual attitude toward medical service as a whole, was measured using a questionnaire. A total of 700 in-or out-patients were surveyed in 6 hospitals with more than 300 beds in North Gyeongbuk Province. 1. The level of patient satisfaction varied with characteristics of patients. Male patients and those in their 30s had a low level of satisfaction. Dissatisfaction level was positively related to education level but negatively related to economic condition. 2. As for patient satisfaction with medical service providers and other employees in hospital, satisfaction level with physician's explanation about treatment was higher. But dissatisfaction levels with treatment duration and the lack of explanation about examination procedures were high, calling for improvement. Dissatisfaction level with nursing care was high, calling for training of nurses for better service. Given the low level of satisfaction with human services, hospital employees need to be trained to improve their service. 3. It Was found that administrative service was also a significant factor influencing patient satisfaction in addition to medical service. It is therefore important for hospitals to provide patients with prompt and convenient procedural service. 4. Environmental factors such as medical equipment and amenity facilities also affected patient satisfaction. Thus environmental condition, procedural service and human service are all important to improve medical service in hospital. In summary, procedural service was the most significant factor for patient satisfaction. The level of satisfaction in patients was also affected by human service and environmental condition. It is therefore necessary to take patient-oriented approach in providing medical service in an effort to improve patient satisfaction. The finding of a lower level of satisfaction with human service signifies the need for training of healthcare providers and other hospital employees for better services. The introduction of advanced management programs is also needed to improve procedures that patients go through in hospitals.

노인의 체질량지수에 관련된 요인 연구: 미국, 일본, 한국 비교를 중심으로 (Factors Associated with Body Mass Index(BMI) Among Older Adults: A Comparison Study of the U.S., Japan, and Korea)

  • 노인들의 체질량지수는 노후 삶의 질을 결정할 수 있는 중요한 변수임에도 불구하고 어떤 요인 들이 이와 관련되어 있는가에 대한 연구는 상대적으로 부족하다. 따라서 본 연구는 미국, 일본, 한국 노인들의 체질량 지수의 분포가 어떻게 다른지 고찰하는데 일차적인 목적을 두었다. 더 나아가, 세 국가 노인들의 체질량지수에 영향을 미치는 요인들이 무엇인지 살펴보고 그 관계가 세 국가에서 어떻게 다르게 나타나는지 살펴보고자 한다. 자료는 미국 (LSOA II, N=8,589), 일본 (NUJLSOA, N=2,888), 그리고 한국의 고령화연구패널 (KLoSA, N=2,397)을 사용하였으며, 기술적인 분석과 체질량지수를 종속변수로 하는 다중회귀분석을 사용하였다. 일본과 한국 노인들의 체질량지수 분포는 매우 유사했지만, 일본 노인들의 체질량지수가 한국 노인들의 그것에 비교하여 좀 더 가벼웠으며 분포의 오른쪽 상단인 비만에 해당하는 부분에서 더 낮은 비율을 보였다. 한국과 일본의 체질량 지수 분포는 미국에 비해서 상대적으로 좌측에 위치하고 있으며, 최빈값에서 덜 퍼져있음이 밝혀졌다. 체질량지수와 사회경제적인 변인의 관계는 한국 노인들에 비해서 미국과 일본 노인들에게서 더 강하게 나타났으며, 한국의 경우 기존연구와 달리 교육 수준이 높을수록 체질량지수가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 한국은 사회경제적 변인이나 건강행태보다 인구학적 변수들이 체질량지수에 좀 더 유의미한 영향을 미쳤으며 일본의 경우 세 가지 건강행태가 모두 체질량지수를 예측할 수 있는 중요한 요인인 것으로 밝혀졌다. 따라서 미국, 일본, 한국에서 노인의 체질량지수에 영향을 미치는 요인들과 그 관계의 방향성은 다르다고 결론지을 수 있다. 본 연구 결과는 상이한 국가에서 노인들과 현장에서 마주하게 되는 노인병 의사, 간호사, 양로원의 책임자, 사회복지사 등이 노인들로 하여금 적절하게 몸무게를 조절하게 하기 위해서는 어떤 요인이 중요한지 파악할 수 있게 해주고 구체적으로 도움을 줄 수 있다는데 그 정책적인 함의가 있다.

청소년의 흡연에 관한 건강위험행위 연구 -서울시 일부 고등학생을 중심으로- (A Study on Health-Risk Behavior of Adolescent Smoking)

  • The aim of this study is having the status, knowledge and attitude of the high school attendees toward smoking be analyzed, helping to make effective health education methods to diminish adolescent smoking habits. The field self-questionnaire investigation has been performed from Oct 10th through 23rd in 1999. The whole 427 cases were distributed to 1st and 2nd grade students of randomly selected men's high school in Seoul. And 414 cases (97%) were finally selected for analysis after exclusion of cases with insufficient information. The main contents of questionnaire are composed of several sectors; the general characteristics of the interviewees, the relationship with parents, the life style and the peer relationship in school. And smoking-related characteristics are taken into consideration, too. The major findings of the study are as follows: The smoking/non-smoking related factors are, in socio-demographical terms, the grade, average spending per month of the interviewees. And the degree of satisfactory relationship with parents is significant on smoking behavior. The higher, the degree of satisfaction on school life and relationship with designated teacher, the more chances of non-smoking habit. Poor academic grades and peer group dependability of interviewees cause higher smoking habit rate in other way. The self-interviewees grade and cohabitation with parents are also significant on both the attitude toward smoking habit and the knowledge on smoking statistically. The academic history and vocations of the parents and the academic grades of interviewees are also effective variables, but don't make any gap between groups knowledge on smoking. Smoking groups used to have positive attitude toward smoking habit. Both the attitude and knowledge on smoking by the consideration of Quit-smoking have statistically significance. The groups which have negative attitude and high knowledge on smoking quit-smoking into consideration. And the primary cause of quit-smoking is on health by smoking. Depression, stress, adult smoking in the house, peer group pressure, cigarettes advertisements on papers and magazines and smoking scenes on TV have positive correlation on forming smoking habit (p〈0.001) But the knowledge on diseases triggered by smoking has negative correlation on forming smoking habit. (p〈0.05, p〈0.001). Social factors as monthly spending, relationship and communication with parents, the degree of satisfaction in school life, academic grades and student-teacher relationship have crucial negative correlation on smoking habit. That is to say, the higher, the monthly spending is, the worse, the relationship with parents and teachers is, the lower, the academic grades of the student is, the percentage of the interviewees who have smoking habit seems to get higher.

리더십유형이 병원 조직구성원의 직무만족, 조직몰입 및 이직의도에 미치는 영향 (Influences of Type of Leadership on Hospital Organizational Members' Job Satisfaction, Organizational commitment, and Turnover Intentions)

  • It is important how the leader leads the organizational members with leadership appropriate to environment changes as the leader has great influence on the management of hospital organization. These data were collected from the questionnaire surveyed, from February 14 through February 28, 2003, to 218 people among those in the field of doctorship, management administration, nursing, technology, medical engineering, management engineering, and general affairs, working for three hospitals under S medical foundation in Pusan. The principal findings of this research are as below : 1. Type of leadership and job satisfaction had positive correlation in terms of both transformational and transactional leadership, with former having more relation than the latter. 2. Type of leadership and organizational commitment had positive correlation in terms of intellectual stimulus and situational rewards, having little relation statistically. 3. Type of leadership and turnover intentions had negative correlation only in individual consideration, situational rewards, and exceptional management, showing that transactional leadership had more relation than transformational leadership. 4. In terms of leadership and its effect on the organizational performance and turnover intentions, transformational leadership had more correlation than transactional leadership. But transactional leadership also turned out to have effect on organizational performance. When transformational leadership used, turnover intentions were lower than when transactional leadership used. However, both transformational and transactional leadership had negative correlation to turnover intentions. 5. Effect that type of leadership according to job classification, status, age, and academic career has on organizational performance and turnover intentions was differed by those factors; especially, in the occupation of doctor, both transformational and transactional leadership had positive correlation to turnover intentions. 6. Regression analysis on the factors of organizational performance and turnover intentions showed that higher age had positive correlation to the organizational performance in terms of socio-demographical features and that the more leadership was used for charismatic and situational rewards and the less leadership was used for intellectual stimuli, the higher organizational performance was likely. In short, hospital operators and managers should examine each manager's qualification, type, and style of leadership in the hospital organization, and they must develop lasting programs for effective education and training for developing characteristics of leadership are in needed to have managers with appropriate managerial mind to respective post and status. It should be kept in mind that manager's leadership especially has great effect on members' goal-setting, goal-achievement, organizational performance, and turnover intentions as it is a decisive factor of organizational members' attitude and motivation.

암 환자가 느끼는 경제적 도움에 대한 필요와 이에 영향을 미치는 요인 (Cancer patients' need for financial assistance and its related factors)

  • Background : Cancer is a disease that not only places a significant burden on patients clinically but also requires significant expense for diagnosis and treatment. Although the cancer coverage of health insurance has recently been expended, the need for financial assistance among cancer patients and their families is still expected to be significant. In this study, cancer patients' need for financial assistance in Korea was examined and its influence factors were analyzed. Methods : Target study subjects were those who are over 18 years of age and were diagnosed with cancer more than four months prior at the National Cancer Center and 9 Regional Cancer Centers in Korea during the period from July to August of 2008. Quarter sampling was conducted according to the ratio of the type of each cancer. A face to face interview survey was conducted. A total of 2,661 cancer patients finished the survey. Medical charts were reviewed in order to obtain the cancer type and SEER stage of cancer patients. An ordered logistic regression model was used to examine the level of need for financial assistance according to the demographical, clinical, and socio-economic variables of cancer patients. Result : The percentage of cancer patients who needed financial assistance was 69.0%, and 36.9% needed significant financial assistance. The need for financial assistance was perceived to be greater in males, younger age group, low income group, low education group, medical aid recipients, those who were diagnosed recently, those with a low level of quality of life measured through EQ5D, and those with decreased income after cancer diagnosis. Conclusion : In spite of the current policy to increase health insurance coverage, the majority of cancer patients and their families in Korea still need financial assistance due to cancer. In particular, there were more vulnerable groups, such as the low income, or low education group. In the future, policies that focus on the disadvantaged, which strengthen social security, should be considered for achievement of a substantially better quality of life for cancer patients and their families.

기업의 문화예술후원 활동이 수요자의 구매의도에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of Company's Culture & Arts Sponsorship Activities on Purchase Intention of the Consumer)

  • 본 연구는 가업의 안정적이고 지속적인 성장을 위한 사회공헌활동(CSR: Corporate Social Responsibility)이 기업의 이미지 제고와 제품 및 서비스 구매의도에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지에 관한 연구이다. 다양한 사회공헌 활동을 추구하는 기업의 이미지는 일반 소비자에게 어떻게 인식되며 기업의 이미지 제고에 따른 제품 및 서비스 구매의도와의 상관관계를 알아보기 위한 목적이 있다. 서울과 충청지역의 대학생을 대상으로 323부 설문지를 배포하여 그 중 314부를 분석에 사용하였다. 인구통계학적 요소, 기업의 사회공헌활동 중 중요분야, 기업이 사회공헌활동을 하는 이유, 문화예술후원기업 중 선호기업 등을 조사하였다. 기업이미지는 '제품/서비스', '잠재역량', '공익관련' 세 가지 항목을 살펴보았고 회귀모델에서는 이세가지 요소가 구매의도에 어떠한 영향을 미치는가를 조사하였다. 연구결과 사회공헌 이유를 '기업에 대한 사회적 인식 개선', '기업에 대한 부정적 인식전환' 순으로 나타났다. 사회공헌 활동을 적극적으로 지원하는 기업에 대하여 소비자들은 선호도를 가지고 있으며, 이는 대체적으로 기업성과로 이어진다고 볼 수 있으며, 기업은 기업시민 정신을 가지고 수요자중심으로 지역사회에 공헌하고, 전향적으로 문화예술후원을 확대하여야 할 것으로 사료된다.

효과적 스마트워크 도입을 위한 핵심요소 및 구현 전략 (The Core Elements and Implementation Strategy for Adopting Smart Work)

  • 저출산, 고령화 사회 진입 등 사회문화적 환경 변화에 대응코자 최근 스마트워크 도입에 대한 관심이 고조되고 있다. 스마트워크는 정보통신기술을 활용하여 시간과 장소의 제약 없이 동료 직원들과 원활하게 협업하고 끊김 없이 업무를 수행하는 근로 형태로서 원격근무, 재택근무 또는 스마트워크 센터근무 등의 형태로 구현된다. 그러나 이러한 관심에도 불구하고 도입 추진 1년이 지난 지금 일부 기업들은 스마트워크 도입을 통해 업무 생산성과 근무 만족도를 효과적으로 개선하는 반면, 일부 기업들은 도입을 보류하거나 사실상 실패하는 사례들이 나타나고 있다. 이러한 차이를 해결하기 위해서는 스마트워크 도입 성공 요인을 밝히고 비즈니스 모델에 어떻게 적용시킬 수 있을지에 대한 고려가 필요하지만, 스마트워크 도입의 성공 요인을 밝히고자 하는 연구들은 매우 제한되어 있는 상황이다. 따라서, 본 고에서는 우선, 최근 스마트워크 도입 추진 연구를 바탕으로 스마트워크의 정의, 적용 가능 산업영역 및 파급효과의 크기, 도입 추진을 위한 시사점들을 종합하였다. 동시에, 원격근무(Telework), 가상팀 (Virtual team) 활동 등 선행 연구를 취합하여 성공사례와 성공 요소를 수집하였다. 정리된 결과를 바탕으로 국내외 시범사업 추진 사례를 비교함으로써 스마트워크 도입 시 기대효과를 극대화 할 수 있는 핵심 요소를 도출하고자 하였다. 본 연구 결과는 스마트워크 도입의 핵심 요소를 가시화 함으로써 실제 도입을 추진하고 있는 기업이 보다 원활하게 스마트워크를 도입하고 스마트워크를 기반으로 한 업무 프로세스 개선을 가능케 할 뿐만 아니라, 스마트워크 지원 서비스 비즈니스 모델 구축에도 도움을 줄 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

생태관광지 유형별 탐방객 특성 및 자연환경 훼손에 대한 인식 비교 연구 (A Study on Visitors' Characteristics and Cognition in Regard to Damage of Nature Environment in Different Types of Ecotourism Destination)

  • 본 연구는 생태관광지의 유형별 탐방객 특성을 파악하기위해 북한산둘레길, 우포늪, 지리산둘레길, 울진금강소나무 숲길을 대상으로 탐방객의 인구통계적 특성 및 여행동기, 훼손에 대한 인식 등을 분석하였다. 각 대상지를 방문한 탐방객들을 대상으로 1:1 면접조사를 통해 현장 설문조사를 실시하였다. 북한산둘레길의 경우 인근 주민들이 건강을 위해 찾는 빈도가 높고 생태관광객의 비율이 낮은 경향을 보였으며, 환경훼손에 대한 인식도 높지 않게 나타났다. 우포늪은 동료간의 친목을 다지기 위해 단체로 움직이는 탐방객 수가 많았고, 습지생태계의 관찰·체험, 탐조활동 등 생태관광 비율이 높게 나타났으며, 산악형에 비하여 물리적인 훼손요인이 많지 않아 훼손에 대한 탐방객들의 인식은 높지 않았다. 지리산둘레길은 생태관광객과 함께 일반 대중관광객과 자연관광객의 비율도 높게 나타났으며, 평지형 관광지보다 환경훼손에 대한 인식이 높았다. 울진금강소나무숲길의 경우 탐방을 제한함으로써 생태관광에 대한 인식이 높고 자연환경 보전의식이 높은 관광객들이 주로 방문하기 때문에 거의 모든 지표에서 다른 생태관광지에 비해 높은 값을 보였다. 관광지의 자연환경훼손이 우려되는 경우에 입장료 징수 또는 탐방예약제를 통해 관광객수를 조절하는 방안에 대해서는 대체적으로 긍정적으로 받아들이는 것으로 조사되었다.
