일방향 복합재료 single-lap 접합 조인트의 파괴 특성 (Fracture Characteristics Unidirectional Composite Single-Lap Bonded Joints)

  • The fracture characteristics of unidirectional composite single-lap bonded joints were investigated experimentally and numerically. The effects of bonding method, surface roughness, bondline thickness and the existence of fillet on the failure characteristics and strength of bonded single-lap joints were evaluated experimentally. The failure process, failure mode and the behavior of load-displacement curve was apparently different according to bonding method. The failure load of the specimen co-cured without adhesive was definitely superior to other types of specimens but the specimens co-cured with adhesive film had a less strength than secondary bonded specimens. In the secondary bonded specimens, the lower value of surface roughness and existence of fillet improved the strength of specimens. The strain energy release rates calculated by geometric nonlinear finite element analyses and Virtual Crack Closure Technique for the secondary bonded specimens considering the three types of initial cracks - comer crack, edge crack and delamination crack - were consistent with the test results.

  • Impact tester was build up to evaluate the characterization of CFRP laminate plates under the low velocity impact. The tests were conducted on several laminates of different ply orientation A system was budded for the impact strength of CFRP laminates in consideration of stress wave propagation theory using drop-weight impact tester as one of impact test. Results indicate that absorbed energy of quasi-isotropic specimen having four interfaces is higher than that of orthotropic laminates with two interfaces. Also the damage area was measured with ultrasonic C-scanner on some samples. In the specimens the relationship was linear between damaged area and absorbed energy to some degree. Absorbed energy in the specimen that ply number, interface number and fiber stacking sequences is same but having hybrid is higher than that of orthotropic laminates without hybrid.

  • Different mathematical models are proposed and their analytical solutions derived for the analysis of linear elastic Reissner's multilayer beams. The models take into account different combinations of contact plane conditions, different material properties of individual layers, different transverse shear deformations of each layer, and different boundary conditions of the layers. The analytical studies are carried out to evaluate the influence of different contact conditions on the static and kinematic quantities. A considerable difference of the results between the models is obtained.

Postbuckling response and failure of symmetric laminated plates with rectangular cutouts under uniaxial compression

  • This paper deals with the buckling and postbuckling responses and the progressive failure of square symmetric laminates with rectangular cutouts under uniaxial compression. A detailed investigation is made to show the effects of cutout size and cutout aspect ratio on prebuckling and postbuckling responses, failure loads and failure characteristics of $(+45/-45/0/90)_{2s}$, $(+45/-45)_{4s}$ and $(0/90)_{4s}$ laminates. The 3-D Tsai-Hill criterion is used to predict the failure of a lamina while the onset of delamination is predicted by the interlaminar failure criterion. In addition, the effects of boundary conditions on buckling load, failure loads, failure modes and maximum transverse deflection for a $(+45/-45/0/90)_{2s}$ laminate with and without cutout have also been presented. It is concluded that square laminates with small square cutouts have more postbuckling strength than without cutout, irrespective of boundary conditions.

  • The low velocity impact characteristics of composite laminate curved beams are investigated to increase damage tolerance and reduce the deflection. Drop weight impact tests of the composite curved beam were performed with respect to pre-load, then the damage after impact was measured by macrography. Also, finite element analyses were performed using ABAQUS to investigate the stress state of composite curved beam with respect to pre-load and impact. From the investigation, it was found that pre-load of the composite curved beams had much influence on impact damage of the curved beam, which showed good agreement with the experiment results.

  • In this study, researchers developed the est algorithm for artificial defects in the semic packages and performed to it by pattern recogn technology. For this purpose, this algorithm was I that researcher made software with matlab. The so consists of some procedures including ultrasonic acquistion, equalization filtering, self-organizing backpropagation neural network. self-organizing ma backpropagation neural network are belong to metho neural networks. And the pattern recognition tech has applied to classify three kinds of detective pa semiconductor packages. that is, crack, delaminat normal. According to the results, it was found estimative algorithm was provided the recognition r 75.7%( for crack) and 83.4%( for delamination) 87.2 % ( for normal).

3-D 복합재료 샌드위치 구조물의 2층 경전철 철도차량 구조체 적용성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Application of 3-D Sandwich Composite Structures to the Double-deck Light Train Carbody)

  • Composites are very useful material for light train carbody due to its high specific strength and lightweight characteristics. The composites, called 3-D board, are developed with a special stitching method. In this process, the glass fiber fabrics of skin material and foam core material are stitched together with glass fiber thread. The glass thread in Z-axis turns into FRP form. The conventional delamination problem can be solved with 3-D sandwich structure. In addition, with the lower density of foam, the weight of the panel and the operation expenses can be highly reduced. To evaluate the usefulness of the 3-D board, the double-deck light train carbody is studied. The stress analyses are carried out under various loads and boundary conditions with FEM Code, ANSYS. On comparing with the aluminum carbody, 3-D board carbody can be reduced by about 2 ton for the total weight of carbody.

반 최적화기법에 의한 적층복합보의 손상추적 (Damage detection in laminated beams by anti-optimization)

  • 본 연구는 적층복합보에 있어서의 층간분리현상을 추적하는 기법을 소개하고 있다. 이 기법에서는 층간분리된 보와 층간분리되지 않은 보와의 응답차이를 최대화하도록 조화운동의 가력을 보위별로 최적화한다. 2개층의 알루미늄 보에 대하여 수치해석을 수행하였으며, 계측 및 보의 형태에 따른 노이즈를 고려하였다. 층간 분리를 모델링하기 위하여 스텝함수를 사용하였으며 층별 복합판 이론에 기본한 유한요소법을 이용하여 해석하였다.

  • Fatigue fracture behavior of a hybrid joint part with bolting was evaluated in comparison to the case of static fracture. Hybrid joint part specimens for bending test were made with layers of CFRP and aluminum honeycomb. Characteristic fracture behaviors of those specimens were obviously different under static and cyclic loads. Static bending load showed the shear deformation at the honeycomb core, whereas cyclic bending load caused the delamination between CFRP skin layers and honeycomb core. Experimental results obtained by static and fatigue tests were considered in modifications of design parameters of the hybrid joint.

Morphology and Properties of Polyacrylonitrile/Na-MMT Nanocomposites Prepared via in-situ Polymerization with Macroazoinitiator

  • In the preparation of a polyacrylonitrile (PAN)/sodium montmorillonite (Na-MMT) nanocomposite via an in-situ polymerization method, macroazoinitiator (MAI) was intercalated in the gallery of Na-MMT to enhance the delamination of silicate layers by intergallery polymerization. The exfoliated fine dispersion observed by X-ray diffraction pattern and transmission electron microscopy, the enhanced tensile storage modulus and the thermal decomposition temperature showed that the intercalated MAI was effective in inducing intergallery polymerization and that a poly(ethylene glycol) block linked to a PAN block improved the dispersion of hydrophilic Na-MMT in the polymer matrix.
