유연 전자소자 구현을 위한 폴리이미드 기판 제작

  • 최근 유연 기판을 이용한 태양전지 및 TFT 등 전자소자 개발에 관한 연구가 주목받고 있다. 본 연구에서는 공정 시 유리한 유리기판상 전자소자 제작 후 폴리이미드막 박리를 통한 유연전자 소자 구현을 목적으로 한다. 폴리이미드막 박리를 목적으로 희생층으로서 a-Si:H을 사용하였다. 유리기판상에 60 nm 두께의 a-Si : H을 ICP (Induced coupled plasma) 공정으로 증착한 후 a-Si : H층 상부에 30 ${\mu}m$ 두께로 폴리이미드를 코팅하여 Hot plate와 furnace에서 열처리를 거쳤다. 이후 각기 다른 파장을 갖는 레이저의 파워를 가변하며 유리 기판 후면에 조사하였다. 실험 결과 355 nm UV 레이저로 가공한 경우 희생층으로 사용 된 a-Si : H층 내에 존재하는 수소가 레이저 빛 에너지에 의해 결합이 끊어지면서 유리기판과 폴리이미드막이 분리됨을 확인하였다.

하중변화에 따른 GF/PUR 복합재료의 연삭마모특성 (Effect of load upon the abrasive wear characteristics of glass fiber reinforced polyurethane composites)

  • The effect of load and sliding speed on abrasive wear characteristics of glass fiber/polyurethane (GF/PUR) composites were investigated at ambient temperature by pin-on-disc friction test. The friction coefficient, cumulative wear volume and surface roughness of these materials against SiC abrasive paper were determined experimentally. Experimental results showed that the surface roughness of the GF/PUR composites was increased as applied load was higher in wear test. The cumulative wear volume tended to increase nonlinearly with increase of sliding distance and depended on applied load and sliding speed for these composites. It could be verified by scanning electric microscopy (SEM) photograph of surface tested that major failure mechanisms were lapping layers, ploughing, delamination, deformation of resin and cracking.

  • In pumped storage Generator-motor stator windings gradually deteriorates due to mechanist, thermal, electrical stresses. These stresses combine to result in loose windings, delamination of the stator insulation and/or electrical tracking of the endwinding, all of which can lead to stator insulation failures. Since the degration of generator-motor is gradually occurred, regular inspection system is necessary to monitor degrading. The result of this diagnosis is a basic for the maintxnance of generator-motor.

  • MgO protection layer on the dielectric layer in PDP prevents a dielectric layer from sputtering and lowers the firing voltage due to a large $\gamma$-Coefficients. Until now, the MgO protection layer is mainly prepared by E-beam evaporation. However, there are some problems that is easy pollution and change of its characteristics with time and delamination. Therefore in this study. MgO protection layer is prepared on dielectric layer by R.F. magnetron sputtering with Mg target under various conditions. The sputtered MgO shows the better discharge characteristics compared with MgO deposited by E-beam evaporatior.

치아 응용을 위한 /유리침윤 알루미나 이중 층상구조의 접촉손상 및 파괴 (Contact Damage and Fracture of Poreclain/Glass-Infiltrated Alumina Layer Structure for Dental Application)

  • Hertzian contact tests were used to investigate the evolution of fracturedamage in the coating layer as functions of contact load and coating thickness by studying crack patterns in porcelain on glass-infiltrated alumina bilayer system conceived to simulate the crown structure of a tooth. Cone cracks initiated at the coating top surface without delamination at interface and crack propagation to substrate. Preferentially the cracks made multi-cracks at the coating top surface rather than proceeding to interface. The cracks were highly stabilized with wide ranges between the loads to initiate first cracking and to cause final failure im-plying damage-tolerant capability. Finite element modelling was used to evaluate the stress distribution. Maximum tensile stress were responsible for the cracking at the coating layer and had a profound influence on the crack pattern and fracture damage in the layered structure materials.

휴대전자기기용 저용량 리튬이온 배터리의 충방전 열화 기구 분석 및 모니터링 (Evaluation and monitoring of degradation mechanism of Li-ion battery for portable electronic device)

  • As a fundamental experimental study for reliability improvement of lithium ion secondary battery, degradation mechanism was investigated by microscopic observation and acoustic emission monitoring. Microstructural observation of the decomposed battery after cycle test revealed mechanical and chemical damages such as interface delamination, microcrack of the electrodes, and solid electrolyte interphase (SEI). Acoustic emission (AE) signal was detected during charge and discharge of lithium ion battery to investigate relationships among cumulative count, discharge capacity, and microdamages. With increasing number of cycle, discharge capacity was decreased and AE cumulative count was observed to increase. Observed damages were attributed to sources of the detected AE signals.

Implementation of a micro-meso approach for progressive damage analysis of composite laminates

  • The mismatch of ply orientations in composite laminates can cause high interlaminar stress concentrations near the free edges. Evaluation of these interlaminar stresses and their role in the progressive damage analysis of laminates is desirable. Recently, the authors developed a new method to relate the physically based micromechanics approach with the meso-scale CDM considering matrix cracking and induced delamination. In this paper, the developed method is applied for the analysis of edge effects in various angle-ply laminates such as $[10/-10]_{2s}$, $[30/-30]_{2s}$ and $[45/-45]_{2s}$ and comparing the results with available traditional CDM and experimental results. It is shown that the obtained stress-strain behaviors of laminates are in good agreement with the available experimental results and even in better agreement than the traditional CDM results. Variations of the stresses and stiffness components through the laminate thickness and near the free edges are also computed and compared with the available CDM results.

Finite element dynamic analysis of laminated composite beams under moving loads

  • This study presents dynamic analysis of laminated beams traversed by moving loads using a multilayered beam element based on the first-order shear deformation theory. The present element consists of N layers with different thickness and material property, and has (3N + 7) degrees of freedom corresponding three axial, four transversal, and 3N rotational displacements. Delamination and interfacial slip are not allowed. Comparisons with analytical and/or numerical results available in literature for some illustrative examples are made. Numerical results for natural frequencies, deflections and stresses of laminated beams are given to explain the effect of load speed, lamina layup, and boundary conditions.

  • To investigate the flexural behavior of real size RC beams strengthened with glass fiber sheets, 9 strengthened beams of real size are experimented and the results are compared with those of existing experimental studies. Experiments are considered glass fiber sheets, the number of fiber sheets, and the existence of U-wrap. By the results of experiments, the failure behavior and crack types of real size RC beams are almost equal to those of the small size RC beams, and the debonding and not the concrete cover delamination are occurred. It can be found from the load-deflection curves that as the number of fiber sheets is increased, the ductility of real size RC beam is more decreased than that of the small size RC beam. For the strengthening method with glass fiber sheets of the real size RC beams, it can be confirmed that the finding a solution to the bonding problem is required

  • Free vibration analysis of multi-delaminated composite beam-columns subjected to axial compression load is performed in the present study. In order to investigate the effects of multi-delaminations on the natural frequency and elastic buckling load of multi-delaminated beam-columns, the general kinematic continuity conditions are derived from the assumption of constant slope and curvature at the multi-delamination tip. Characteristic equation of multi-delaminated beam-column is obtained by dividing the global multi-delaminated beam-columns into segments and by imposing recurrence relation from the continuity conditions on each sub-beam-column. The natural frequency and elastic buckling load of multi-delaminated beam-columns according to the incremental load of axial compression, which is limited to the maximum elastic buckling load of sound laminated beam-column, are obtained. It is found that the sizes, locations and numbers of multi-delaminations have significant effect on natural frequency and elastic buckling load, especially the latter ones.
