Method for the sun curing dehydration of pig excreta by using vinyl house was described. We determined effects of the dehydrated pig excreta on the yields of whole crop corn and proximate chemical composition of whole crop corn. Pig excreta were dehydrated upto 15% of moisture content by the 3-4 days of sun curing dehydration in vinyl house in the summer period. There was no significant difference between the dehydrated pig excreta treatment and the chemical fertilizer treatment on dry matter(DM) content, DM yield and crude protein contents of whole crop corn. Ca and Mg contents by the dehydrated pig excreta treatment were lower than those by thechemical fertilizer treatment. In the contrast, K content by the dehydrated pig excreta treatment was higher than those by the chemical fertilizer treatment. and dehydrated pig excreta treatments were higher in K/Ca+Mg ratio than chemical fertilizer treatment. These results suggested the availability of the sun curing dehydration of pig excreta in vinyl house in small-scale animal industry. In addition, the dehydrated pig excreta treatment showen similar effects to the chemical fertilizer treatment on dry matter yields and contents of chemical composition of whole crop corn. These results suggest that using the sun curing dehydration of pig excreta could reduce the chemical fertilizer cost. However, we need more study to the relationship between the unbalanced mineral contents and animal health.
Ion exchange polymer membrane in the dehydrated state was found to exhibit bending upon a small applied voltage, although the investigations on the hydrated ion exchange polymer membrane bending behavior have been performed quite intensively for more than a decade for the purpose of producing a practical polymer actuator. Our investigation on the dehydrated ion exchange polymer membrane has revealed that its bending direction is perfectly controllable by the polarity control of applied voltage and the degree of its bending curvature is also almost completely determined by the control of duration time of voltage application on it, while the hydrated ion exchange polymer membranes lack of such properties. Furthermore the longevity of dehydrated ion exchange polymer membrane sustaining such a highly controllable properties has been found quite longer than that of the hydrated ion exchange polymer membrane.
A molecular dynamics simulation study on the structure and dynamics of Na+ ions in non-rigid dehydrated Na12-A zeolite framework at 298.15 K was conducted using the same method reported in previous studies on rigid and non-rigid Na12-A zeolite frameworks. The agreement between the experimental and calculated results for the zeolite-A framework atoms of structural parameters for non-rigid dehydrated Na12-A zeolite is generally quite good, and for the adsorbed Na+ions the agreement is acceptable. The calculated bond lengths are generally in good agreement with the experimental results and other theoretical data. The calculated IR spectrum by Fourier transform of the total dipole moment autocorrelation function shows two major peaks around 2700 cm-1 and 7000 cm-1. The former appeared in the calculated IR spectra of non-rigid zeolite-A framework only system and the latter remains unexplained except, perhaps, indicating a new formation of a vibrational mode of the framework due to the adsorption of Na+ ions. The peaks above 6200-6800 cm-1 in non-rigid dehydrated Nal2-A zeolite are much larger than those in non-rigid dehydrated H12-A zeolite.
To improve the freezing techniques of animal embryos using vitrification solution as a cryoprotectant rabbit embryos, by cell stages, dehydration temperature and dehydration temperature and dehydratin time, were frozen-thawed and cultured. Following are the main results obtained. 1. The damage rate of zona pellucida after thawing was higher(13.6%) when the cell stage of embryos was less than 4 cells than when the cell stage was 8~16 cell or morula. The damage rate was higher when the dehydration temperature was 4$^{\circ}C$ than -3$0^{\circ}C$ or -50~-8$0^{\circ}C$. The zona pellucida was damaged more when dehydrated for 5 min than when dehydrated for 10~15 min. 2. After being cultured for 72 hours, 5.3% of 4 cell(or less) embryos were developed to morula, while 86.4% of morula embryos were developed further. 3. More percentage of embryos(73.2%) was developed when dehydrated at -3$0^{\circ}C$ than when dehydrated at 4$^{\circ}C$ at -5$0^{\circ}C$~-8$0^{\circ}C$. 4. The hatching rate was higher when dehydrated for 5 min. When the embryos were dehydrated for 10~15 min and cultured for 24 hours, they were not even developed or development was not good in later stages.
The cooked surf clam meat was treated with BHA or EDTA, and then dehydrated by means of hot-air dehydration or sun drying. The dehydrated products were packed in glass bottle and stored for three months in the dark place. After three month storage, the pigment loss and water absorbing capacity of dehydrated products were compared with those of directly after dehydration. Both of the sun dried and hot-air dehydrated surf clam products showed a great deal of pigment loss during storage. The BHA treatment prior to dehydration of surf clam meat had good effects on the pigment retention, and the EDTA treatment had a weak effect on it during storage. The rate of rehydration of dehydrated surf clam products had markedly decreased during storage. And it could be seen that there was little difference among the rate of rehydration of the BHA or EDTA treated product and untreated one during storage.
This study was carried out to efficiently use the ultrarapid freezing method in the cryopreservation of mouse ova. For this, the effects of dehydration method, oval vigour and $0^{\circ}C$ controlling method on post-thawing viability were investigated. Fresh mouse ova were dehydrated in mPBS with 3.5M DMSO and /or 0.25M sucrose, and directly immersed in L$N_2$ for ultrarapidly freezing. The frozen ova were thawed at 37$^{\circ}C$, rehydrated in mPBS with 0.25M sucrose, and then repeatedly washed in HAM's Fl0 before evaluating the morphological normality of frozen-thawed ova. The results obtained showed that there was difference between treatments in a experiment. 1) The post-thawing viability of ova dehydrated in multi-step (48.4$\pm$13.8%) was higher than that of ova in two-step (40.9$\pm$14.0%). 2) The post-thawing viability of fertilized ova (87$\pm$14.0%) was significantly(p<0.0l) higher than that of unfertilized ova (5.4$\pm$5.4%). 3) The post-thawing viability of ova dehydrated and rehydrated using a cooling machine (95.8$\pm$4.2%) was significantly(p<0.05) higher than that on ice(84.1$\pm$9.9). In conclusion, in order to efficiently cryopreserve ova in vitro with ultrarapidly freezing method, highly viable embryos should be selected, heavy osmotic shock to the dehydrating ova should be avoided, and embryos in high osmotic condition were dehydrated and rehydrated in a constantly low temperature.
The objective of this study was to analyze the relationship between blood pressure and serum mineral concentration in hypertension patients subjected to dehydration. The data were collected and analyzed for 7,109 patients who visited a hospital for their health checkup from 2011 till 2015. Respondents were classified into four groups depending upon their state of hypertension and dehydration: control group (no hypertension and no dehydrated), dehydrated group, hypertension group, and dehydrated with hypertension group. Hypertension group was found to have higher levels of serum sodium, calcium, and uric acid than the normal group, whereas the dehydrated group was found to have higher levels of serum sodium and potassium than the normal group. In effect, no significant correlation was directly observed between the hypertension group and dehydration group. However, there were significant negative correlations between dehydration of the old-aged group and their serum mineral concentrations, which are reportedly related to hypertension. Thus, dehydration prevention measures in the elderly over 65 could mitigate hypertension problems.
In the present paper, we report a molecular dynamics (MD) simulation study for the structure and dynamics of H+ ions in non-rigid dehydrated H12-A zeolite framework at 298.15 K, using the same method we used in our previous studies of rigid and non-rigid zeolite-A frameworks. It is found that two different structures appear, depending on the choice of the Lennard-Jones parameter (σ) for the H+ ion, as is also observed in the study of rigid dehydrated H12-A zeolite framework, but the ranges of σ are different for the two structures. It is also found that some of the H+ ions exchanged their sites without changing the number of H+ ions at each site. The agreement between experimental and calculated structural parameters for non-rigid dehydrated H12-A zeolite is generally quite good. The calculated IR spectrum by Fourier transform of the total dipole moment auto-correlation function shows two major peaks, one around 2700 cm-1 and the other around 7000 cm-1. The former appears in the calculated IR spectra of non-rigid zeolite-A framework only system and the latter remains unexplained except, perhaps, as an indication of a new formation of a vibrational mode of the framework due to the adsorption of the H+ ions.
Vanadium-incorporated aluminophophate molecular sieve VH-SAPO-11 has been studied by electron spin resonanace (ESR) and electron spin echo modulation (ESEM) spectroscopies to determine the vanadium locatin and interaction with various adsorbate molecules. As-synthsized VH-SAPO-11 contains only vanady1 species with distored octahral coordination. After calcinations in $O_2$ and exposure to moisture, only species A is observed with reduced intensities. Species A is suggested as a VO$(H_2O)_2^{2+$} complex coordinate to three framwork oxygen bonded to aluminum. When calcined, hydrate VH-SAPO-11 is dehydrated at elevated temperature, species A loses it water ligands and transforms to $VO^{2+}$ ions coordinated to three framework oxygens (species B). Species B reduces its intensities significantly after treatment with $O_2$at high temperature, thus suggesting oxidation of $v^{4+}$to $v^{5+}$. When dehydrated VH-SAPO-11 contacts with $D_2O$ at room temperature, the ESR signal of species A is observed. This species assumed as a $VO(O_f)_3(D_2O)_2$, by considering 3 framework oxygens. Adsorption of deuterated methanol on dehydrated VH-SAPO-11 results in another new vanadium species D, which is identified as a $VO(CD_{3}OH)$ complex. When deuterated ethanol is adsorbed on dehydrated VH-SAPO-11, another new vanadium species E identified as a $VO(C_{2}H_{5}OD)^{2+}$, is observed. When deuterated propanol is adsorbed on dehydrated VH-SAPO-11, a new vanadium species F identified as a $VO(C_{3}H_{7}OD)$, is observed. Possible coordination geometries of these various complexes are discussed.
The effect of the dehydration method and EDTA or BHA treatment upon the pigment degradation and water re-absorption of the dehydrated meat of the surf clam Mactra Sulcataria REEVE was studied. Sun drying Produced a realer decrease in pigment content as compared to that produced by hot-air dehydration. The hot-air dehydrated product which was treated with BHA showed little pigment loss in comparison with the pigment of the fresh surf clam meat. The BHA treatment upon the dehydrated surf clam products had an outstanding effect on the pigment retention and the EDTA treated one had a weak effect on it. The hot-air dehydrated products more rapidly re-absorbed water than the sun dried one. It could be seen that there was tittle difference among the rate of rehydration of the BHA or EDTA treated product and untreated one.
