밀링 머신의 절삭력 제어를 통한 표면 굴곡도 향상에 관한 연구 (A study on the improvement of surface waviness by cutting force control)

  • To improve the surface waviness in the peripheral milling, since the tool deflection is largely affected by cutting force, the feedrate is controlled so that the cutting force measured in the normal direction to the workpiece is constant. A discrete time first order model between the feedrate and the tool deflection is derived for the control. The experimental results show that the surface waviness is greatly improved by the proposed method.

  • In this study, the Non-Destructive Testing Equipment was introduced for the compaction control and the evaluation of pavements properties and the developing process was showed. Falling Weight Deflectometer(FWD) is a system for performing non-destructive testing of pavement and the other foundation structures. The system develops forces from the acceleration caused by the arrest of a falling weight and these forces are transmitted onto the surface of a structure causing it to deflect much as it would due to the weight of a passing wheel load. The structure will bend downward and exhibit a deflection basin. FWD uses a set of velocity sensors to determine the amplitude and shape of the deflection basin. The deflection response, when related to the applied loading, can provide information about the strength and condition of the various elements of the test structure. In this study, a computer program was developed that can be used to evaluate pavement and foundation structures from the data produced by FWD. The Falling Weight Deflectometer, non-destructive testing equipment, is increasing used at the whole world.

컴퓨터 수치제어 선반에서의 진원통도 보상제어 (Compensatory cylindricity control of the C.N.C. turing process)

  • 본 연구에서는 현장에서 흔히 수행되는 가공 후(post-process) 측정만을 이용 한 단일절삭(single-pass)으로써 공작물이 원하는 일정한 직경을 유지할 수 있다는 것 을 실험을 통해 검증해 보이고자 한다. 이와 같은 방식은 이미 보오링 작업 중 보오 링바의 노출 길이 변화에 따른 가공면의 내경 오차를 없애주기 위한 방법으로써 제시 된 바 있다. 즉 반복 최소 자승법(recursive least squares)으로 미리 가정된 절삭 조건과 공작물 처짐 사이의 관계식과 관련된 계수를 가공 후에 가공 공작물의 표면 측 정으로 매 번보정(update)시켜 줌으로써 일정 직경을 얻기위한 절삭조건을 결정하고자 한다.

Measurement of Yield Strength for Electroplated Nickel Film Using Micro-cantilever

  • We report highly improved yield strength of nickel thin film, prepared using electroplating. The micro-scaled nickel cantilever is found to have significantly higher yield strength than bulk nickel. For the yield strength test, the heights of the micro-scaled cantilever were varied up to 60 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ and electrostatic force was used for actuation. Stress of the bent cantilever was estimated using the FEM large deflection model. The yield strength of the thin nickel film is found to be over five times higher than that of the bulk nickel previously published. Results from this study indicate that metal microstructures can be used for MEMS applications requiring large deflection.

  • The railway bridge of the domestic still has been used steel base such as sperical bearing and pot bearing widely. However, the bearing of steel series is occured corrosion frequently, reduced durability and raised maintenance cost excessively due to the nature of the material. If the elastomeric bearing which is widely used in highway bridge is applied to the railway bridge, it will be able to compensate this defect a lot. In order to apply to the railway bridge used for highway bridge, is needed the control of the bridge ends deflection, lateral displacement and negative reaction. Therefore, the elastomeric bearing can be applied to the railway bridge enough, if installed negative reaction key for control of the bridge ends deflection, improved shear wedge performance for control of the lateral force, adjust the thickness of the elastomeric pad for the minimize deflection, in addition, can be economic design of sub-structures due to damping effect.

  • This paper deals with the process which automatically straightens the shaft whose straightness is over the tolerance. The developed straightening process is composed of the measuring module and the control module. In the measuring module, the deflection of each measuring point is automatically measured, and the press point and the reference press stroke is determined. In the control module, the springback is predicted by the observer using the calculated reference press stroke and on-line-measured force and deflection. Through a series of experiments, the validity of the proposed process was verified.

Aeroelastic Characteri stics of Rotor Blades with Trailing Edge Flaps

  • The aeroelastic analysis of rotor blades with trailing edge flaps, focused on reducing vibration while minimizing control effort, are investigated using large deflection-type beam theory in forward flight. The rotor blade aerodynamic forces are calculated using two-dimensional quasi-steady strip theory. For the analysis of forward flight, the nonlinear periodic blade steady response is obtained by integrating the full finite element equation in time through a coupled trim procedure with a vehicle trim. The objective function, which includes vibratory hub loads and active flap control inputs, is minimized by an optimal control process. Numerical simulations are performed for the steady-state forward flight of various advance ratios. Also, numerical results of the steady blade and flap deflections, and the vibratory hub loads are presented for various advance ratios and are compared with the previously published analysis results obtained from modal analysis based on a moderate deflection-type beam theory.

  • MCA deflection control is a important technology for the development of MEMS applications. In this study, deflection analysis at the MLA/Si diaphragm was investigated by Finite Element Method. Analysis of Si diaphragm combined with MCA has been implemented into the ANSYS (Solid5 and Solid45). On the basis of this structure, deflection versus MCA number of layers has been modelled and MCA/Si contact area characteristics with different diaphragm conditions were analyzed. Consequently, it is expected that fabrication technology of MCA/Si diaphragm could be usefully applied for the fabrication process of high-performance piezoelectric MEMS devices.

로켓 노즐 변위에 따른 추력 중심 변화 예측 (Prediction of the Thrust Center Movement Due To Rocket Nozzle Deflection)

  • 로켓 노즐의 변위에 따라 추력 중심이 어떻게 이동되는지를 예측하기 위해 전산유동해석을 수행하였다. 노즐 변위각을 0/1/3도로 하여 3차원 계산을 수행하였으며, 축대칭 계산에서 보지 못했던 공력계수의 진동이 관찰되었다. 변위각 1도 및 3도 조건에 대하여 추력중심 위치가 -16 mm 및 -4 mm로 나타났으며, 노즐 변위에 따른 추력 중시의 변화는 무시할 만한 정도라고 볼 수 있다. 이와 더불어 오해하기 쉬운 로켓 엔진의 추력 발생 원리를 간략히 수학적으로 기술하였으며, 로켓 외부 유동이나 노즐 변위와 같은 대칭 조건에서 압력 중심을 어떻게 정의해야 할 것인지에 대해서도 논하였다.

  • In this paper, a realistic launching method for railway bridge is developed. When bridge is launched, it might experience the excessive deflection. Launching method with cable-stayed scheme is developed to control the deflection. The developed method was applied to the launching of an actual bridge. This study results show that bridges can be launched with favorable deflection by the proposed method.
