  • The current establishment of car engineering plastic piping polyethylene (PE) tube used as bonding state or part of the health or safety of fusion is very important. A part of these fusion methods to determine the soundness of the short-term trials and long-term tests can be largely classified. Typical tests included short-term strength, tensile strength, impact strength, compressive strength, resiliency and compression. Polyethylene (PE) pipes installed in the domestic terms of overall penetration rate of 45% has been used. However, polyethylene (PE) pipes have reliability problems, and these occurs mostly in part by defective welding. Therefore, the test is necessary for safety. Non-destructive methods (ultrasonic testing) are difficult to be used. Therefore, Polyethylene (PE) pipe are used. Fusion of thses materilas is necessary in these field however, its technical, and basic research has not been studied well. In this research, short-term strength of welding parts, its tensile strength, hardness, fatigue, and microstructure have been analyzed to find the optimum process conditions to improve mechanical properties.

  • This paper reports on the development of the gripping system for automation of phone-camera module assembling. If manual assembling is shifted by automation, it will increase the fabrication speed and reduce the defective rate. In the gripping mechanism design, we needs self-adjustable passive mechanism that minimize the number of the parts. The self-adjusting system compensates the positioning errors that have been made in translations. And also we need gripper system that can be modules of parts. That makes it easy to change or repair the parts. The forces put on the objects is another considerable in the system. It must not cause dropping, breakage, scratch, and large deformation. So final target of this reaseach is how to develop the system that is speedy, small, simple, and safe

  • Bacteria sense their population density and coordinate the expression of target genes, including virulence factors in Gram-negative bacteria, by the N-acylhomoserine lactones (AHLs)-dependent quorum sensing (QS) mechanism. In contrast, several soil bacteria are able to interfere with QS by enzymatic degradation of AHLs, referred to as quorum quenching. A potent AHL-degrading enzyme, AiiA, from Bacillus thuringiensis has been reported to effectively attenuate the virulence of bacteria by quorum quenching. However, little is known about the role of AiiA in B. thuringiensis itself. In the present study, an aiiA-defective mutant was generated to investigate the role of AHA in rhizosphere competence in the root system of pepper. The aiiA mutant showed no detectable AHL¬-egrading activity and was less effective for suppression of soft-rot symptom caused by Erwinia carotovora on the potato slice. On the pepper root, the survival rate of the aiiA mutant significantly decreased over time compared with that of wild type. Interestingly, viable cell count analysis revealed that the bacterial number and composition of E. carotovora were not different between treatments of wild type and the aiiA mutant. These results provide evidence that AHA can play an important role in rhizosphere competentce of B. thuringiensis and bacterial quorum quenching to Gram-negative bacteria without changing bacterial number or composition.

  • To classify real time Lead pin images in this paper, The image acquisition system was composed to C.C.D, image frame grabber(DT3153), P.C(PentiumIII). I proposed image processing algorithms. This algorithms were composed to real time monitoring, Lead Pin image acquisition, image noise deletion, object area detection, point detection and pattern classification algorithm. The raw images were acquired from Lead pin images using the system. The result images were obtained from raw images by image processing algorithms. In implemental result, The right recognition was 97 of 100 acceptable products, 95 of 100 defective products. The recognition rate was 96% for total 200 Lead Pins.

  • Purpose: Tomatoes, an important agricultural product in fresh-cut markets, are sometimes a source of foodborne illness, mainly Salmonella spp. Growth cracks on tomatoes can be a pathway for bacteria, so its detection prior to consumption is important for public health. In this study, multispectral Visible/Near-Infrared (NIR) reflectance imaging techniques were used to determine optimal wavebands for the classification of defect tomatoes. Methods: Hyperspectral reflectance images were collected from samples of naturally cracked tomatoes. To classify the resulting images, the selected wavelength bands were subjected to two-band permutations, and a supervised classification method was used. Results: The results showed that two optimal wavelengths, 713.8 nm and 718.6 nm, could be used to identify cracked spots on tomato surfaces with a correct classification rate of 91.1%. The result indicates that multispectral reflectance imaging with optimized wavebands from hyperspectral images is an effective technique for the classification of defective tomatoes. Conclusions: Although it can be susceptible to specular interference, the multispectral reflectance imaging is an appropriate method for commercial applications because it is faster and much less expensive than Near-Infrared or fluorescence imaging techniques.

  • Deep neck infections mean infection in the potential spaces and facial planes of the neck, either abscess formation or cellulitis. Deep neck infections are caused by dental, salivary gland, pharyngeal and tonsillar infections. Sometimes, deep neck infection may be caused by tuberculosis in case of immunodefiecient patients. Acquired immunodeficiency syndrome(AIDS) is a disease associated with defective cell-mediated immunity after infected with human immunodeficiency virus(HIV). The chance of opportunistic infection in patients of AIDS increases as the level of immunodeficienty progresses. Human immunodeficiency virus infection is the most single significant risk factor for progression of pulmonary tuberculosis to extrapulmonary sites. In patients infected with HIV, the rate of extrapulomonary tuberculosis rises upto $60\%$. We report a case of a 47 year old male patient with AIDS associated with deep neck infection by tuberculosis.

  • The replica of silicone mold which can produce the test samples and the market-displayable products without making expensive metallic patterns is advantageous because it incurs less cost than the ordinary method that manufactures the products from the metallic patterns. However, the production of the products using silicone mold should require a technician with professional knowledge about the metallic patterns every time. Thus we tried to judge whether a forming analysis software for iron molding can be applied to silicon molding in this paper. In other words, this paper suggests a method to use a computer simulator from the designing step of the silicone mold, which is the most important part in making replica using simple silicone molds to the step of pouring the cast. The paper shows that if the know-how of a professional worker is provided in advance, an amateur worker can easily produce silicone molds of the best quality, the defective rate of the products will be decreased, and the replica will have a more complete status. By doing so, we suggested a possibility for reducing the delivery time at the production sites and for improving the product quality.

  • There are many countermeasures collected by field experts, safety managers with their subjective decisions, without analysis. Subcontractor does not know which one of those can be more defective countermeasures. More weighted countermeasures should be taken for subcontractor's economical aspects. But there are almost no measures with useful weight so that subcontractors can select some as they need more effective even though there are not many measures at construction sites. AHP technique has been introduced into the analysis of counter measures for subcontractor. Countermeasures which car collected from field-experienced safety engineers have been weighed with frequency rate saying how many responders selected. And then, they are analyzed by AHP Technique for making out relative important level of the countermeasures, by each step such as Direct, Indirect, Management level, and policy level, quantitatively. AHP level in the study is composed of two stories, not three stories, in order to make respondents easier when they are asked. At least 15-year-experienced expert are asked for AHP questionnaire.

  • RFIDs have not become widespread as expected partly due to the cost, size, read range, and reliability problems of tags. The success rate of reading must be improved in order for RFIDs to be widely adopted. Quality control of tags is crucial to meet this requirement. In this study, we designed and implemented a high-performance reader used in inspection equipment that conducts prior inspection of tags. To improve performance of the developed reader, the baseband modem and command processor (CP) were designed using H/W logic and implemented with FPGA. The inspection of small pitch inlays was made possible through the antenna shielding device and H/W command processor function. This equipment enables accurate evaluation of performance and identification of tags satisfying a given read range. By contributing to sort out defective tags, the results can ultimately lead to more stable RFID services.
