디즈니 애니메이션 악당 캐릭터의 색채분석 (Color Analysis of Disney Animation Villain Characters)

  • In the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution, not only artificial intelligence, big data, robots, and biotechnology, but also cultural industries that require human creativity will lead. Among the cultural industries, the animation industry has high industrial utilization value due to its high connection with other industries. Among them, animation characters play the most important role as the subject leading the story of animation. In particular, the villain character not only serves as a medium for the main character to lead the story, but also captivates the audience with a different presence from the main character, adding to the fun and completeness of the animation. These characters consist of visual elements such as form and color, of which color is a tool that effectively conveys the character's personality and role to the audience, and is the first visual element to be considered in delicately describing the character's emotions and the relationship between characters. Therefore, this study attempts to analyze the color of the villain character. To this end, we will select eight Disney animations to derive the characteristics of the villain character's color by analyzing the color, value, chroma, and color association of the colors used in the Disney villain character. As a result of the analysis, the colors mainly used by Disney to convey the villain's image were red (R) and Orange (YR), and there was no difference depending on the times or animation production methods. Second, the brightness of Disney villain characters appeared to be the same medium/famous regardless of the times and production methods, and the frequency of use of high brightness was very low. In terms of saturation, the frequency of use of high and low saturation was high. Third, blackish (Bk), Strong (S), dull (Dl), and deep (Dp) tones were mainly used for tones. In particular, in recent 3D animations than previously produced 2D animations, the use of low chroma and the high black mixing rate increased. Fourth, it can be seen that Disney uses color as a visual method to more clearly express the psychology of the villain character using color association. In conclusion, the color selection of animation characters should be carefully considered as a tool to convey the character's personality, role, and emotion beyond simply using color, and the color selection of characters using color associations and symbols strengthens the narrative structure. It is hoped that this study will help analyze and select the character color of animation.

블랙박스 영상 기반 차량 및 배경 대체 영상을 이용한 실시간 MR 콘텐츠의 설계 (Design of Real-time MR Contents using Substitute Videos of Vehicles and Background based on Black Box Video)

  • 본 논문에서는 차량용 블랙박스로 촬영된 고속도로 주간 주행 영상을 기반으로 차량을 종류별로 검출하고 추적한다. 그리고 검출된 차량의 종류별 대체 영상을 새로운 배경 영상의 같은 위치에 올려놓음으로써 새롭게 창조될 수 있는 실시간 MR 콘텐츠 제작 방안을 설계한다. 차량을 종류별로 검출하고 추적하기 위해서는 딥러닝의 객체 검출 분야에서 가장 잘 알려지고 유명한 YOLO 알고리즘을 사용한다. 또한, 검출된 차량의 종류별 대체 영상을 위해서는 RGB 색상을 기반으로 하는 Mask 기법을 사용한다. 실시간 MR 콘텐츠를 위해 사용될 차량 대체 영상의 크기는 원본 영상에서 검출된 차량의 영역 크기와 같은 크기로 대체된다. 본 논문에서는 실시간 MR 콘텐츠 설계가 가능함을 실험 및 시뮬레이션으로 확인하였으며 VR 콘텐츠 분야에서 유용하게 활용할 수 있을 것으로 판단한다.

섬유컬러 그루핑 체계에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Color Grouping System to Fashion)

  • 디자이너의 감성적$.$직관적 의사결정을 객관적으로 지원할 수 있는 컬러 코디네이션 지원 모델과 도구를 개발하기 위한 전 단계로 디자이너의 색채 사고 과정에 있어서의 효율성을 도모하고 상호간의 색채 커뮤니케이션을 도울 수 있는 컬러 그루핑 체계를 마련하였다. 이에 관한 연구의 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 디자이너들의 색채 업무 효율을 높이고 디자이너간의 커뮤니케이션을 도울 수 있는 컬러 그룹의 제정과 각 그룹별 대표어휘의 필요성을 제기하여 이에 대한 대안을 제시하였다. 그루핑 방법은 고바야시와 히데끼 치지와, 그리고 엘리스 웨스트게이트와 마사 질의 이론을 참고하여 4개의 컬러 그룹으로 나누었으며 분류 방향은 색조별(톤별) 색채체계에 의한 분류가 정량적 표준 색표에 의한 분류보다 디자이너의 감성을 표현하는데 유리하다는 전제하에 섬유 색채의 특수성을 반영하여 색조별(톤별) 색채 체계를 근간으로 하였다. 각 그룹별 대표 어휘는 브라이트 , 파스텔 , 딥 , 뉴트럴로 추출$.$정의하였다. 각 그룹별 색조 개념에 대한 정의는 다음과 같다. 브라이트(Bright) - 순도 높은 기본 색상군 파스텔(Pastel) - 기본 색상 군에 화이트가 혼합된 색상군 딥(Deep) - 기본 색상 군에 블랙과 회색이 혼합된 색상군 뉴트럴(Neutral)- 기본 색상군의 성격이 드러나지 않는 중도색. 분류된 각 그룹의 추정 색상은 정시화의 색채시계와 색채 삼각형에 배치하여 색채 지각 공간에서의 분포 개념을 시각화함으로서 각 그룹별 영역 관계를 검증하였다. 4개의 대그룹으로 나누어진 색채군은 후속 연구에서 이루어질 선호 색채 수집 상황에 따라 몇 개의 소단위로 나누어지게 되며 각 소그룹의 색채군은 각 단위별로 배색 스토리를 전개할 수 있다. 또한 그룹과 그룹간의 크로스 오버 코디네이션이 가능해 짐에 따라 디자이너들은 이제까지의 개별 색상 조합의 색채 사유 패턴에서 벗어나 그룹별 색채 사유가 가능해짐으로서 디자이너들의 색채 사유 패턴의 혁신을 도모할 수 있다.

컬러 자궁경부 영상에서 딥러닝 기법에서의 영상영역 처리 방법에 따른 성능 비교 연구 (Comparison on the Deep Learning Performance of a Field of View Variable Color Images of Uterine Cervix)

  • Cervical cancer is the second most common female cancer in the world. In Korea, cervical cancer accounts for 13 percent of female cancers and 4,200 cases occur annually[1]. The purpose of this study is to use a deep learning model to identify the possibility of lesions in the cervix and to evaluate the efficient image preprocessing in order to diagnose diverse types of cervix in form. The study used 4,107 normal photographs of uterine cervix and 6,285 abnormal photographs of uterine cervix. Two types of image preprocessing were resized to square. The methods are cropping based on height and filling the space up and down with black images. In addition, all images were resampled to 256×256. The average accuracy of cropped cases is 94.15%. The average accuracy of the filled cases is 93.41%. According to the study, the model performance of cropped data was slightly better. But there were several images that were not accurately classified. Therefore, the additional experiment with pre-treatment process based on cropping is needed to cover images of the cervix in more detail.

Comparison of Pork Quality and Sensory Characteristics for Antibiotic Free Yorkshire Crossbreds Raised in Hoop Houses

  • The objective of this study was to compare pork characteristics and to determine consumer acceptability of pork chops from antibiotic free Yorkshire crossbreds sired by Berkshire (BY), Large Black (LBY), Tamworth (TY) or Yorkshire (YY) boars and reared in hoop houses. The experiments were conducted at the North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University (NCA&TSU) Farm in Greensboro, NC and the Cherry Research Station Center for Environmental Farming Systems (CEFS) Alternative Swine Unit in Goldsboro, NC (source of antibiotic free Yorkshire sows used at both places). Twenty-four sows were artificially inseminated at each location in each of three trials. Litters were weaned at 4 wks old, and reared within deep-bedded outdoor hoop houses. To compare pork characteristics, 104 randomly selected animals were harvested at a USDA-inspected abattoir at approximately 200 d of age. Variables measured included pH, color score, $L^*$, $a^*$, $b^*$, marbling score, drip loss, hot carcass weight, backfat thickness (BF), loin muscle area (LMA), and slice shear force. Sensory panel tests were also conducted at two time periods. The data was analyzed with GLM in SAS 9.01 including location, trial, and sire breed as fixed effects. Backfat thickness, LMA, color score and $a^*$ were different among breeding groups (p<0.05). The LBY pigs had thicker backfat and smaller LMA than the other breed types. The TY and YY had less backfat than all other breed groups. Color score was lower for YY than BY and LBY but intermediate for TY. The $a^*$ was lower for TY than other breeds except LBY which was intermediate. For one sensory panel test, YY pork was more preferred overall as well as for juiciness and texture compared to BY and LBY (p<0.05), but no impact of breed type was noted for the other test, with values similar for BY, LBY, TY and YY pork. This information may help small farmers make decisions about breed types to use for outdoor production.

Side scan sonar 해저면 음향영상을 이용한 동해 궁촌리 북부 연안의 홍수퇴적물 분포 (Distribution of Flood Sediment Deposits using the Seafloor Image by Side Scan Sonar near the Northern Coast of Gungchon-ri, East Sea)

  • 추천천 하구 근처에 홍수퇴적물 분포 패턴을 분석하기 위해, 측면주사소나(side scan sonar) 이미지와 해저퇴적물의 특성을 수심 50 m 이하 연안지역에서 조사하였다. 소나 이미지 분석을 바탕으로 연구 지역의 해저는 기반암, 모래질펄, 홍수퇴적물 분포지역, 3개 지역으로 구분된다. 각 지역의 측면주사소사 이미지의 색상은 아주 검은 색, 비교적 밝은색, 그리고 암회색으로 표시된다. 해저퇴적물은 암회색 지역에서 자갈 33.73%, 모래 62.88%, 실트 3.37%, 점토 0.02%이고, 모래질 펄 지역에서 모래 10.31%, 실트 56.42%, 점토 33.27%로 분석되었다. 특히 암회색 지역의 퇴적물은 다량의 불에 탄 식물 조각편을 포함하고 있어 주변 연안에서 관찰할 수 있는 퇴적물과는 뚜렷한 차이를 보인다. 홍수퇴적물의 분포 형태는 추천천 하구에서 해양으로 해안선에 수직하게 분포하지 않고, 연안을 따라서 분포되어 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 결론적으로 연구 지역의 연안류의 흐름이 해저퇴적상의 공간적 분포 형태에 지배적으로 영향을 주었다.

대청도 지두리 해안의 모래 퇴적층의 특성과 매몰연대에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Characteristics and Burial Ages of Sediment Deposits at Jiduri, Daecheong Island)

  • The characteristics and burial ages of sand sediments on the Jiduri coast in Daechung-myeon, Ongjin-gun, Incheon were investigated. Daecheong Island is the area where the characteristics of the rocky coast and sand coast are shown. Various studies have been conducted on the Okjukdong sand dune that appears in the north of the island. However, there has been no study on the sandy sedimentary topography of the Jiduri and Moraewul area in the south. The sandy sedimentary terrain of Jiduri is divided into sandy beaches, sand dunes and sand deposits along the slope including climbing dune. Overall, the depth of sandy sediments in Jiduri is not deep. The characteristics of sandy sediments and burial ages were investigated at an elevation of about 23 m above sea level at the back of Jiduli Beach and 46 m above sea level at the ridge line between Jiduri and Moraewol. From the Jiduri coast to the hillside behind, the average grain size decreases and the sorting becomes better as it moves from the intertidal zone to the beach and the foredune. This indicates the selective sand transport by the wind and can be judged by the terrain formed under the current sedimentation environment. The average grain size at the upper part of the section of JD-1 (elevation of about 23m MSL) was $1.6918{\varphi}$ of medium sand. The sorting was $0.4584{\varphi}$, skewness was -1.0491 and kurtosis was -1.2411, respectively. Particularly, the average particle size of the crosssection issomewhat uniform, but the color of the constituent material changes from brown to black. In the case of JD-2 (about 46 m MSL), the mean grain size of the section was $1.7943{\varphi}$, the sorting was 0.4931, the skewness was -1.1163, and the kurtosis was 1.2133. On the other hand, the brown and black layers of JD-1 exhibited a burial age of $0.1{\pm}0.0ka$ and the JD-2 had a burial age of $0.7{\pm}0.0ka$.

한국 남해에서 채집된 어류 2 미기록종 (First Record of Two Species from the South Sea of Korea)

  • 1995년 남해 거제도 부근에서 채집된 어류를 동정한 결과 지금까지 우리나라에서는 서식이 알려지지 않은 Chaunax abei와 Bembrops curvatura로 확인되어 이 2종을 한국산 미기록종으로 보고한다. C. abei는 외부형태적으로 C. fimbriatus와 유사하나 체표의 녹색 무늬 형태가 원형이고 등지느러미의 앞쪽에는 노란 반점과 그 뒤에 약간 패인 곳이 없으며, 유인돌기와의 주변에는 돌기가 없다는 점이, 그리고 B. curvatura는 B. caudimacula와 유사하나 뒷지느러미 연조수 및 측선린 수와, 측선이 깊게 내려간 점 그리고 제 1 등지느러미의 첫 번째 막이 검다는 점 등이 이들 유사종들과 잘 구별되었다. 이들의 한국명으로는 Chaunacidae "점씬벵이과", Chaunax "점씬벵이속", C. abei를 "점씬벵이"로, 그리고 B. curvatura는 "줄굽은눈퉁이"라고 명명하였다.

The 1970's Fashion Trend at Vogue Magazine: If you can't wrap it, tie it, sling it, fling it

  • The purpose of this study is to understand how the silhouette changed throughout 1970s and assess how US women express their identities through their dress, which may explain societies' attitudes through the way women dresses. US Vogue fashion magazines were used to explore all the information on fashion and style trends, social trends, beauty, and travel. A content analysis was performed on the issues of the March and September for the years 1970 to 1979. The findings for this study about the 1970s were all about perpetual change, constantly moving forward with innovation. The color ranged from bright, cheery and bold to deep and passionate to subtle neutrals. There were a few constant colors through the decade like white, black and navy. Occasionally the trend would completely change from one season to the next within the same year. They would be full and oversized and then be slim and body conscious. The one trend that stayed true for the entire decade was wrapping. Skirts, pants, dresses, tops, shoes and jewelry; everything wrapped in one-way or another. Clothes steadily became more revealing as the years progressed. Fabrics over all were soft and knitted. Casual and comfortable was the phase heard most often. In the 1970s there was constant change in prints. They were bold and large or subtle and small, ethnic or floral. Hair was mostly smooth and sleek however towards the style moved to a fuller look.

온도 및 교반속도가 매실엑기스 가공에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Temperature and Stirring speed on the Processing of Plum Concentrated Extract.)

  • Plum highlighted as a health food is needed to diversify the processed products because labor storage is big problem since the fruit was producted massively in June. The Plum was extracted by the pressing type extractor after washing, drying and removing the seed by seed separator. The crude extract was concentrated with stainless steel vessel at different temperature and stirring speed. This study was obtained as follows. The sugar content of fresh plum concentrated extract was 55.3~58.3$^{\circ}$Brix, and of the freezing plum concentrated extract was 75.5~70.3$^{\circ}$Brix. In color difference, the freezing plum concentrated extract was more deep black than fresh plum. In change patten of pH, it was decreased as concentration was proceed. The final pH was 2.3~2.2 in fresh plum, and 1.8~2.2 in freezing plum. The total acid content of fresh plum concentrated extract and the freezing plum was 45.4~47.8, 60.3~60.9%, respectively. The content of evaporation at 85$\pm$5$^{\circ}C$ was constant irrespective of stirring speed. The yield of extraction of fresh plum was higher than freezing plum. According to this results, the use of stainless vessel, 50rpm, which gave a highly qualified plum concentrated extract.
