In this paper, a new decoupling technique for a flyback inverter using an active power decoupling circuit with auxiliary winding and a novel switching pattern is proposed. The conventional passive power decoupling method is applied to control Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) efficiently by attenuating double frequency power pulsation on the photovoltaic (PV) side. In this case, decoupling capacitor for a flyback inverter is essentially required large electrolytic capacitor of milli-farads. However using the electrolytic capacitor have problems of bulky size and short life-span. Because this electrolytic capacitor is strongly concerned with the life-span of an AC module system, an active power decoupling circuit to minimize input capacitance is needed. In the proposed topology, auxiliary winding defined as a Ripple port will partially cover difference between a PV power and an AC Power. Since input capacitor and auxiliary capacitor is reduced by Ripple port, it can be replaced by a film capacitor. To perform the operation of charging/discharging decoupling capacitor $C_x$, a novel switching sequence is also proposed. The proposed topology is verified by design analysis, simulation and experimental results.
In this paper, the measurement method of the decoupling performance of a underwater decoupling material is studied. First, the simple vibro-acoustic coupled model of a multi-layered underwater decoupling material attached to a plate is analytically derived using impedance transfer matrix. Two test methods are introduced using the theoretical expression of the simple model. One is based on the ratio of the plate vibration and the radiated pressure under impact excitation of the plate. The other is based on the reciprocity theorem and uses the ratio of the incident pressure and the plate vibration under projector excitation in water. Some measurements are carried out according to the test methods using a pulse tube. The test results show the advantages and disadvantages of two methods. It is also shown that the combination of impact and projector excitation methods may be a useful tool to evaluate the performance of a underwater decoupling material.
Purpose - Although many existing studies on the US-China hegemonic conflict and decoupling have been published, most of them are qualitative and use descriptive analysis methods. Papers that quantitatively analyzed decoupling mainly estimate the effect of a tariff increase. However, this paper quantitatively analyzed the ripple effect by focusing on decoupling technology spillover between the United States and China. And, for the first time, it was suggested that the blocking of technology spillover could give a fatal blow to the East Asian economy as well as China. Design/methodology - The United States is pursuing decoupling with China, primarily in goods trade and blocking technology transfer. This paper sets up various scenarios and uses three computational general equilibrium (CGE) models to analyze the overall ripple effects of decoupling. A paper using the three CGE models for decoupling ripple effect analysis has not yet been published. Findings - Decoupling will hit the economies of regions with close economic ties to China more than others. According to simulation results of this study, the Chinese economy may suffer severe damage that is difficult to recover from, and the economies of Asian countries are predicted to deteriorate to the point of being choked. Originality/value - Existing papers that assessed the effect of decoupling mostly focus on estimating the effect itself through tariff hikes. This paper is meaningful in that it comprehensively analyzed decoupling by adding the effect of technology spillover blockade. In addition, another meaning can be found in that it quantified for the first time that it will deal a huge blow to the extent of choking the East Asian economy as well as China.
As the performance and density of IC devices increase, especially the clock frequency increases, power grid network integrity problems become more challenging. To resolve these power integrity problems, the use of passive devices such as resistor, inductor, and capacitor is very important. To manage the power integrity with little noise or ripple, decoupling capacitors are essential in electronic packaging. The decoupling capacitors are classified into voltage regulator capacitor, board capacitor, package capacitor, and on-chip capacitor. For next generation packaging technologies such as 3D packaging or wafer level packaging on-chip MIM decoupling capacitor is the key element for power distribution and delivery management. This paper reviews the use and necessity of on-chip decoupling capacitor.
An efficient numerical method to solve the unsteady incompressible Navier-Stokes equations is developed. A fully implicit time advancement is employed to avoid the CFL(Courant-Friedrichs-Lewy) restriction, where the Crank-Nicholson discretization is used for both the diffusion and convection terms. Based on a block LU decomposition, velocity-pressure decoupling is achieved in conjunction with the approximate factorization. Main emphasis is placed on the additional decoupling of the intermediate velocity components with only n th time step velocity The temporal second-order accuracy is Preserved with the approximate factorization without any modification of boundary conditions. Since the decoupled momentum equations are solved without iteration, the computational time is reduced significantly. The present decoupling method is validated by solving the turbulent minimal channel flow unit.
A new efficient numerical method for computing three-dimensional, unsteady, incompressible flows is presented. To eliminate the restriction of CFL condition, a fully-implicit time advancement in which the Crank-Nicolson method is used for both the diffusion and convection terms, is adopted. Based on an approximate block LU decomposition method, the velocity -pressure decoupling is achieved. The additional decoupling of the intermediate velocity components in the convection term is made for the fully -implicit time advancement scheme. Since the iterative procedures for the momentum equations are not required, the velocity components decouplings bring forth the reduction of computational cost. The second-order accuracy in time of the present numerical algorithm is ascertained by computing decaying vortices. The present decoupling method is applied to minimal channel flow unit with DNS (Direct Numerical Simulation).
In this paper, systems described by state-space models are considered. For these systems, author studies the decoupling of linear systems and gives a sufficient condition for a system to be made feedback decouplable. Especially, the condition is given by LMI(Linear Matrix Inequality) form. Based on this condition, it is guaranteed that the system decoupling problem is achieved and the $H_{\infty}$ constraint is satisfied simultaneously. This result can be easily extended to the robust decoupling control system design problems.
In this study, a controller which has a feedforward controller and two additional PI integrators was designed. But if a controller is used by only the integration of a feedforward controller and two additional PI integrators, the capability of a controller will decrease because the decoupling terms of current is feedback as the disturbance. Therefore the feedforward method with the decoupling compensation was proposed. The two additional PI integrators were replaced by two decoupling terms to simplify the calculation. The simulation and experimental using SynRM driving system were performed to verify the design of a improved decoupling feedforward controller.
Purpose: The purpose of this study is to clarify the role of decoupling between job characteristics, innovation behavior, and innovation resistance in order to seek ways for companies to survive and grow continuously through innovation activities in various uncertain situations. Research design, data and methodology: A total of 263 valid questionnaires were collected and used for analysis for employees working at the company. For the analysis, simple and multiple regression analysis, and 3-step mediated regression analysis were conducted using SPSS 24.0 and AMOS 24.0. Results: First, it was found that skill variety, task identity, autonomy, and feedback increase decoupling, and decoupling increases innovation resistance. In addition, it was confirmed that decoupling had a mediating effect between job characteristics and innovation resistance excluding task significance. Finally, it was found that task significance and feedback increase innovation behavior, and decoupling and task identity increase innovation resistance, but feedback can alleviate innovation resistance. Conclusions: As a result of the analysis, the fact that job characteristics excluding task importance have a positive effect on decoupling means that there are two sides of job characteristics perceived by employees. In other words, it means that the results of analysis on the jobs that the company assigns to its members may not be effective. In addition, decoupling, a phenomenon that seems to be accepting on the outside, but perceives that it is negative on the inside, means that there is a possibility to reject innovation. Therefore, prior to carrying out innovation activities, companies should give clear job specifications and meanings for the job and give them autonomy when assigning jobs to their members. In order to provide appropriate feedback, the company must design, operate, and provide feedback. It was found that there was a need to review the overall effectiveness. In addition, efforts such as strengthening corporate-level fairness, maintaining psychological contracts, and realizing authentic leadership should be preceded to reduce decoupling.

The world's sustainable growth is being severely hampered by the inefficient use of water resources. Despite the widely acknowledged importance of trade in global and regional water and food security, societal reliance on local production as well as international trade remains inadequately assessed. Therefore, using South Korea as a case study, this study fills in this research gap by applying the virtual water concept, the logarithmic mean divisia index (LMDI) method, and the Tapio decoupling model. The virtual water concept was used to estimate South Korea's net virtual water trade for major grain crops from 1992 to 2017. Then, the LMDI method was utilized to assess the driving factors causing changes in net virtual water trade. Lastly, the Tapio decoupling model was used to investigate the decoupling relationships between economic growth and the driving factors of net virtual water trade. Results showed that South Korea remains a net importer of virtual water flows with respect to grain crops, with an average import of 16,559.24 million m3 over the study period. In addition, the change in net virtual water trade could be attributed to water intensity effect, product structure effect, economic effect, and population effect. However, water intensity and economic effects were the major decisive factors for decrease and increase in net virtual water trade respectively, while the population and product structure effects had minor positive influences on the net virtual water trade. Furthermore, water intensity and economic growth showed a strong decoupling in most periods, while the decoupling state between product structure and economic growth was observed as expansive negative decoupling. Likewise, population size and economic growth showed a weak decoupling in most periods. The results reveal South Korea's status as it concerns the virtual water trade of grain crops, thus providing valuable insights into the sustainability of trade activities for the management of local water resources.
