  • To transmit information efficiently and securely in On-line transmission, data compression, secrecy and authentication are required. In this paper, we propose LZWH4 which creates two compression strings with applying Hnageul to LZW. design HDES1 by extending S-box (S1-S16) which satsfies SAC and correlation coefficient as a partial countermeasure of Differential Cryptanalysis and implement LZWHDES1 which concatenates efficiently these for digital signature in On-line transmission. Also HDES1 is more in U.D.(Unicity Distance) than DES and HDES. We show that the proposed LZWHDES1 reduces processing times than LZWHDES which LZW is directly concatnated to DES and LZWHDES which LZWH1 is directly concatenated to HDES. LZWHDES1 can be used to digital signature system as conventional key cryptosystem.

  • Skin is a major thermoregulatory organ in the body controlling homeothermy, a critical function for climate adaptation. We compared genes expressed between tropical- and temperate-adapted cattle to better understand genes involved in climate adaptation and hence thermoregulation. We profiled the skin of representative tropical and temperate cattle using RNA-seq. A total of 214,754,759 reads were generated and assembled into 72,993,478 reads and were mapped to unique regions in the bovine genome. Gene coverage of unique regions of the reference genome showed that of 24,616 genes, only 13,130 genes (53.34%) displayed more than one count per million reads for at least two libraries and were considered suitable for downstream analyses. Our results revealed that of 255 genes expressed differentially, 98 genes were upregulated in tropically-adapted White Fulani (WF; Bos indicus) and 157 genes were down regulated in WF compared to Angus, AG (Bos taurus). Fifteen pathways were identified from the differential gene sets through gene ontology and pathway analyses. These include the significantly enriched melanin metabolic process, proteinaceous extracellular matrix, inflammatory response, defense response, calcium ion binding and response to wounding. Quantitative PCR was used to validate six representative genes which are associated with skin thermoregulation and epithelia dysfunction (mean correlation 0.92; p < 0.001). Our results contribute to identifying genes and understanding molecular mechanisms of skin thermoregulation that may influence strategic genomic selection in cattle to withstand climate adaptation, microbial invasion and mechanical damage.

  • Changes in intrumental and sensory Theological parameters of chewing gum during storage were stuided. Texture changes are influenced to the great extent by moisture content of stored chewing gum and D.E. of cornsyrup, meanwhile content of cornsyrup, process condition and storage temperature had a little effect on texture change. Highly significant correlation was observed between logarithmic instrumental texture parameters of deformation, bending and puncture test and logarithmic moisture content. And also good correlations were observed between each sensory and instrumental texture parameters. The optimum texture values were estimated by regression analysis.

  • PURPOSE. The purpose of this study was to compare computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM) abutment and prefabricated abutment in Morse taper internal connection type implants after cyclic loading. MATERIALS AND METHODS. The study was conducted with internal type implants of two different manufacturers (Group Os, De). Fourteen assemblies were prepared for each manufacturer group and divided into 2 groups (n=7): prefabricated abutments (Os-P, De-P) and CAD/CAM abutments (Os-C, De-C). The amount of axial displacement and the removal torque values (RTVs) were measured before and after cyclic loading (106 cycles, 3 Hz with 150 N), and the tensile removal force to dislodge the abutments was measured after cyclic loading. A repeated measures ANOVA and a pattern analysis based on the logarithmic regression model were conducted to evaluate the effect of cyclic loading on the axial displacement. The Wilcoxon signed-rank test and the Mann-Whitney test was conducted for comparison of RTV reduction% and tensile removal forces. RESULTS. There was no significant difference between CAD/CAM abutments and prefabricated abutments in axial displacement and tensile removal force; however, significantly greater RTV reduction% after cyclic loading was observed in CAD/CAM abutments. The correlation among the axial displacement, the RTV, and the tensile removal force was not significant. CONCLUSION. The use of CAD/CAM abutment did not significantly affect the amount of axial displacement and tensile removal force, but presented a significantly greater removal torque reduction% than prefabricated abutments. The connection stability due to the friction at the abutment-implant interface of CAD/CAM abutments may not be different from prefabricated abutment.

  • Global climate change exerts adverse effects on maize production. Among abiotic stresses, drought stress during the tasseling stage (VT) can increase anthesis-silking intervals (ASI) and decrease yield. We performed an evaluation of ASI and yield using a drought-sensitive line (Ki3) and a drought-tolerant line (Ki11) to analyze the correlation with ASI and yield. Moreover, the de novo data of Ki11 were analyzed to find putative novel transcripts related todrought stress in tropical maize. A total of 182 transcripts, with a log2 ratio >1.5, were found by comparing drought conditions to a control. The top 40 transcripts of high expression levels in the de novo analysis were selected and analyzed with PCR. Of the 40 transcripts, six novel transcripts were detected by quantitative real-time PCR (qRT-PCR) using seedling and VT stage samples. Five transcripts (transcripts_1, 12, 34, 35, and 40) were up-regulated in the Ki11 shoot at seedling stage, and transcripts_1, 12, and 40 were up-regulated at the re-watering stage after 12 h of drought stress. The transcripts_32 and 34 were up-regulated at the VT stage. Hence, transcript_34 possibly plays a significant role in drought tolerance during the seedling and VT stages. The transcript_32 was identified as chloramphenicol acetyltransferase (CAT) by Pfam domain analysis. The function of the other transcripts remained unknown. Further characterization of these novel transcripts in genetic regulation will be of great value for the improvement of maize production.

  • Fine dust has emerged as seriously hazardrous particles, which can cause respiratory and cardiovascular diseases. Thus, we have developed a natural complex extract consisted of Codonopsis lanceolata (Siebold & Zucc.) Trautv., Platycodon grandiflorum A. De Candolle, and Glycyrrhiza uralensis Fischer in the ratio of 3 : 5 : 2, which have a beneficial effect on respiratory system. In this study, simultaneous quantitative analysis of marker compounds, lobetyolin, platycodin D, and glycyrrhizic acid in the natural complex extract was developed and validated with high performance liquid chromatography-photodiode array detector. The marker compounds were shown in a large linearity with a correlation coefficient (R2) of 1.000. The limit of detection (LOD) of lobetyolin, platycodin D and glycyrrhizic acid were 5.40 ㎍/mL, 3.94 ㎍/mL and 5.86 ㎍/mL, respectively. The limit of quantification (LOQ) of lobetyolin, platycodin D and glycyrrhizic acid were 16.36 ㎍/mL, 11.94 ㎍/mL and 17.75 ㎍/mL, respectively. The content analysis revealed that the amounts of lobetyolin, platycodin D, and glycyrrhizic acid were 0.039±0.013 mg/g, 0.337±0.048 mg/g, and 1.171±0.003 mg/g, respectively, in the natural complex extract. Therefore, these results could be used as basic data for the standardization and quality control of the natural complex extract.

  • Lumped Damage Mechanics (LDM) is a theory proposed in the late eighties, which assumes that structural collapse may be analyzed as a two-phase phenomenon. In the first (pre-localization) stage, energy dissipation is a continuous process and it may be modelled by means of the classic versions of the theory of plasticity or Continuum Damage Mechanics (CDM). The second, post-localization, phase can be modelled assuming that energy dissipation is lumped in zones of zero volume: inelastic hinges, hinge lines or localization surfaces. This paper proposes a new LDM formulation for cracking in concrete structures in tension. It also describes its numerical implementation in conventional finite element programs. The results of three numerical simulations of experimental tests reported in the literature are presented. They correspond to plain and fiber-reinforced concrete specimens. A fourth simulation describes also the experimental results of a new test using the digital image correlation technique. These numerical simulations are also compared with the ones obtained using conventional Cohesive Fracture Mechanics (CFM). It is then shown that LDM conserves the advantages of both, CDM and CFM, while overcoming their drawbacks.

  • Investigation was carried out lean burn de-NOx properties of Pt-$TiO_2$ bifunctional catalyst by propylene in order to get the high de-NOx activity and the wide temperature window under coexistence of $SO_2$ and $H_2O$. Only noncatalyst and carrier catalyst themselves had NOx conversion activity at high temperature over $400^{\circ}C$. NOx conversion activity of catalysts exchanged copper ion resulted in Cu-$TiO_2$>Cu-ZSM-5>Cu-$Al_2O_3$>CU-YZ>Cu-AZ. Catalysts impregnated with platinum based on titania gave the results of high NOx conversion activity at low temperature. $250^{\circ}C$. Bifunctional catalysts based on Pt-$TiO_2$ showed high NOx conversion activity both at a low zone of $300^{\circ}C$ and a high zone of $500^{\circ}C$. Pt-$TiO_2$/$Al_2O_3$ catalyst gave the highest NOx conversion activity at a low temperature zone. and Pt-$TiO_2$/$Mn_2O_3$(21) catalyst gave the highest NOx conversion activity at a high temperature zone. Under the coexistence of $SO_2$ and $H_2O$. NOx conversion activities of 0.55wt%Pt-$TiO_2$/5wt%Cu-ZSM-5 catalyst was high both at a low and high temperature zone, and increased depending on oxygen concentration. 0.55wt%Pt-$TiO_2$/5wt%Cu-ZSM-5 catalyst showed the best correlation between de-NOx activities and the propyl ere conversion rates to CO on the log function.

  • Early afterdepolarization (EAD), a significant cause of fatal ventricular arrhythmias including Torsade de Pointes (TdP) in long QT syndromes, is a depolarizing afterpotential at the plateau or repolarization phase in action potential (AP) profile early before completing one pace. AP duration prolongation is related to EAD but is not necessarily accounted for EAD. Several computational studies suggested EAD can form from an abnormality in the late plateau and/or repolarization phase of AP shape. In this sense, we hypothesized the slope during repolarization has the characteristics to predict TdP risk, mainly focusing on the maximum slope during repolarization (dVm/dtmax_repol). This study aimed to predict the sensitivity of dVm/dtmax_repol to ion channel conductances as a TdP risk metric through a population simulation considering multiple effects of simultaneous reduction in six ion channel conductances of gNaL, gKr, gKs, gto, gK1, and gCaL. Additionally, we verified the availability of dVm/dtmax_repol for TdP risk prediction through the correlation analysis with qNet, the representative TdP metric. We performed the population simulations based on the methodology of Gemmel et al. using the human ventricular myocyte model of Dutta et al. Among the sixion channel conductances, dVm/dtmax_repol and qNet responded most sensitively to the change in gKr, followed by gNaL. Furthermore, dVm/dtmax_repol showed a statistically significant high negative correlation with qNet. The dVm/dtmax_repol values were significantly different according to three TdP risk levels of high, intermediate, and low by qNet (p<0.001). In conclusion, we suggested dVm/dtmax_repol as a new biomarker metric for TdP risk assessment.

  • Traditional watermarking technologies are symmetric method which embedding and detection keys are same. Although the symmetric watermarking method is easy to detect the watermark, this method has weakness against to malicious attacks to remove or modify the watermark information when the symmetric key is disclosure. Recently, the asymmetric watermarking method that has different keys to embed and detect is watched several researchers as a next generation watermarking technology. In this paper, we have expanded search space of secret key using the solution set of linear simultaneous equations. Secret key is generated by secure linear transformation method to prevent of guessing secret key from public key, and the correlation value between secret key and public key is high. At theresults, the multi bits information can be embedded and high correlation value was detected after JPEG compression.
