  • The current behavior recognition system don't match data formats between sensor data measured by user's sensor module or device. Therefore, it is necessary to support data processing, sharing and collaboration services between users and behavior recognition system in order to process sensor data of a large capacity, which is another formats. It is also necessary for real time interaction with users and behavior recognition system. To solve this problem, we propose fog cloud based behavior recognition system for human body sensor data processing. Fog cloud based behavior recognition system solve data standard formats in DbaaS (Database as a System) cloud by servicing fog cloud to solve heterogeneity of sensor data measured in user's sensor module or device. In addition, by placing fog cloud between users and cloud, proximity between users and servers is increased, allowing for real time interaction. Based on this, we propose behavior recognition system for user's behavior recognition and service to observers in collaborative environment. Based on the proposed system, it solves the problem of servers overload due to large sensor data and the inability of real time interaction due to non-proximity between users and servers. This shows the process of delivering behavior recognition services that are consistent and capable of real time interaction.

  • Since the introduction of advanced composite materials for use in aircraft, the material qualification has been a costly burden to the small airframe manufacturer. For each manufacturer, extensive qualification testing has often been performed to develop the base material properties and allowables at operating environmental conditions, regardless of whether this material system had been previously certificated by other manufacturers. In recent years, NASA, industry, and the FAA have worked together to develop a cost-effective method of qualifying composite material systems by the sharing of a central material qualification database. In this paper, the new methodology of composite material qualification is presented and material allowable of 350°F carbon fiber/epoxy composite material produced domestically is determined with this methodology.

  • Objectives: This article reviewed research on smoking behaviors and smoking-related health problems among university students to suggest evidences for developing smoking control strategies for them. Methods: Domestic research papers were screened through Research Information Sharing Service (RISS), Koreanstudies Information Service System (KISS), Medical Library Information System (MEDLIS), Korean Medical Database (KMbase), and digital national assembly library. International papers were searched mainly via PubMed. Results: Smoking prevalence among male college students were found to be over 50% in majority of Korean studies. While studies on smoking-related health problems were scant in Korea, several recent studies overseas showed possible effects of smoking on health among young adults, including decreased lung function, respiratory symptoms, cardiovascular problems, glucose intolerance, buccal disease, depressive symptoms, and so forth. Besides, smoking behaviors were closely related with other risk behaviors including drinking, and several psychosocial factors. Conclusions: To explore the smoking problem among college students, the first step should be a national representative survey with scientific methods. More research should be focused on the smoking-related problems among college students. To prevent smoking among college students, smoking prevention education, and smoking cessation counseling, and the initiatives of smoke free campus are needed.

  • Natural disasters can cause major accidents in chemical facilities where they can lead to the release of hazardous materials which in turn can result in fires, explosions or toxic dispersion. Technological disasters triggered by natural disasters are referred to as NaTech(Natural Disaster Triggered Technological Disaster). These trends increase the probability of catastrophic future disasters and the potential for mass human exposure to hazardous materials released during disasters. In the present study, we proposed some methods for effective disaster management by conducting case study of major NaTech. First, establishing information sharing system of chemical accident for stakeholders and improving disaster manuals and standards of central and local government and co-operation support system. Second, activating information service of emergency planning and community right to know. Third, improving the integrated chemical accident database including NaTech accidents.

  • Object Tracking is a technique for tracking moving objects over time in a video image. Using object tracking technique, many research are conducted such a detecting dangerous situation and recognizing the movement of nearby objects in a smart car. However, it still remains a challenging task such as occlusion, deformation, background clutter, illumination variation, etc. In this paper, we propose a novel deep visual object tracking method that can be operated in robust to many challenging task. For the robust visual object tracking, we proposed a Convolutional Neural Network(CNN) which shares weight of the convolutional layers. Input of the CNN is a three; first frame object image, object image in a previous frame, and current search frame containing the object movement. Also we propose a method to consider the motion of the object when determining the current search area to search for the location of the object. Extensive experimental results on a authorized resource database showed that the proposed method outperformed than the conventional methods.

  • Nowadays, one of the major technical issues in manufacturing is how to implement an virtual plant as an well-designed, integrated environment for sharing information and engineering collaboration among diverse engineering activities. The systematic approaches to make a virtual plant based on a 3-dimensional CAD, cell and line simulation, database and internet technologies are proposed in this paper. To do that, measuring and 3D CAD modeling technologies of many equipments, facilities and structures of the building are developed, effective management of information including models and related files in WWW environment is implemented, and precise simulations of unit cell and whole structured plant are performed. For the beginning of implementing a Virtual Automotive Plant, the Virtual Plant for the Body Shop of a Korean automotive company is constructed and implemented. Using this Virtual Plant, shorten car development time and cost saving are possible.

(File Sharing System Using Data Modeling based on Object:FSUDMO)을 제안한다.

  • XML is the new universal format for structured documents and data on the World Wide Web. As the Web becomes a major means of disseminating and sharing information and as the amount of XML data increases substantially, there are increased needs to manage and design such XML document in a novel yet efficient way. Moreover a demand of XML Schema(W3C XML Schema Spec.) that verifies XML document becomes increasing recently. However, XML Schema has a weak point for design because of its complication despite of various data and abundant expressiveness. Thus, it is difficult to design a complex document reflecting the usability, global and local facility and ability of expansion. This paper shows a simple way of modeling for XML document using a fundamental means for database design, the Entity-Relationship model. The design from the Entity-Relationship model to XML Schema can not be directly on account of discordance between the two models. So we present some algorithms to generate XML Schema from the Entity-Relationship model. The algorithms produce XML Schema codes using a hierarchical view representation. An important objective of this modeling is to preserve XML Schema's object-oriented concepts such as reusability, global and local ability. In addition to, implementation procedure and evaluation of the proposed design method are described.

  • Geo-location white space spectrum databases (GL-WSDBs) are currently the preferred technique for enabling spectrum sharing between primary users and secondary users or white space devices (WSDs) in the very-high frequency (VHF) and ultra-high frequency (UHF) bands. This is true because technologies for making low-cost WSDs capable of autonomous sensing and detection of available white space (WS) spectrum are not yet feasible. This paper reviews the necessary enabling technical conditions to allow coexistence of primary and secondary systems in the VHF and UHF spectrum through a GL-WSDB approach. The practical implementation of South Africa's first GL-WSDB was performed. Results of WS channels available from five cities in South Africa calculated from the implemented GL-WSDB was compared with a commercially available GL-WSDB and was found to be 68% similar. Additionally, results from the implemented GL-WSDB were compared with measurements obtained from field spectrum scanning campaigns at two different locations in Cape Town, South Africa, and was found to be 64% similar.
