모노파일 형식 해상풍력발전기 지지구조물의 손상추정기법 (Damage Estimation Method for Monopile Support Structure of Offshore Wind Turbine)

  • A damage estimation method for support structure of offshore wind turbine using modal parameters is presented for effective structural health monitoring. Natural frequencies and mode shapes for a support structure with monopile of an offshore wind turbine were calculated considering soil condition and added mass. A neural network was learned based on training patterns generated by the changes of natural frequency and mode shape due to various damages. Natural frequencies and mode shapes for 10 prospective damage cases were input to the trained neural network for damage estimation. The identified damage locations and severities agreed reasonably well with the accurate damages. Multi-damage cases could also be successfully estimated. Enhancement of estimation result using another parameters as input to neural network will be carried out by further study. Proposed method could be applied to other type of support structure of offshore wind turbine for structural health monitoring.

  • This paper aims at investigating the damage process of steel members leading to the failure under strong repeated loading, proposing the damage index using various factors related to the damage, and developing the analysis method for evaluating the damage state. Cantilever-type steel members were analyzed under uniaxial load and combined with a constant axial load, considering a horizontal displacement history. In analyzing the models, loading patterns and steel types (SS400, SM570, Posten80) were considered as main parameters. From the analysis results, the effects of parameter on the failures mode, the deformation capacity, the damage process are also discussed. Each failure process was compared as steel types. Consequently, the failure of steel members under strong repeated loading was determined by loading. Especially it was seen that the state of the failure is closely related to the local strain.

Stochastic DLV method for steel truss structures: simulation and experiment

  • The stochastic damage locating vector (SDLV) method has been studied extensively in recent years because of its potential to determine the location of damage in structures without the need for measuring the input excitation. The SDLV method has been shown to be a particularly useful tool for damage localization in steel truss bridges through numerical simulation and experimental validation. However, several issues still need clarification. For example, two methods have been suggested for determining the observation matrix C identified for the structural system; yet little guidance has been provided regarding the conditions under which the respective formulations should be used. Additionally, the specific layout of the sensors to achieve effective performance with the SDLV method and the associated relationship to the specific type of truss structure have yet to be explored. Moreover, how the location of truss members influences the damage localization results should be studied. In this paper, these three issues are first investigated through numerical simulation and subsequently the main results are validated experimentally. The results of this paper provide guidance on the effective use of the SDLV method.

대공포 피격에 의한 항공기 날개 손상에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Damage of Aircraft Wing Attacked by Anti-Aircraft Artillery)

  • Aircraft battle damage repair(ABDR) is emergency repair method for the damaged aircraft in battle field. The main purpose of the ABDR is to increase the readiness of fighter aircraft during wartime. While many studies have been conducted to develop ABDR method, few efforts have focused on evaluation of damage and determination of the size of hole caused by enemy's anti-aircraft artillery attack. The aim of this study is essentially to quantify damage of aircraft wing attacked by anti-aircraft artillery. The computer simulations was performed to accomplish this goal. A number of simulations have been carried out to compare size of damages under various attack conditions. In conclusion, it was revealed that the size of damage varied depending on the type and direction of cannonball. Furthermore, in this paper, the proper path sizes are suggested for different damage conditions.

국립공원의 훼손지 유형과 개선방안에 대한 기초적 연구 (Basic Study on Damaged Area Types and Improvement Idea of the National Park)

  • This study is conducted to determine the damage, distinguish the types and identify the restoration by that type for 13 Korea national parks out of 21. There are 21 Korea national parks are in Korea covering 6.67% of the country or $6,656km^2$ ($3,902km^2$ on land and $2,754km^2$ in the sea) currently since the area around Jirisan ($440km^2$) was designated as the first Korea national parks in 1967. With the cancellation of entrance admission on Korea national parks since 2007, annual visitors to the Korea national parks have grown from 37 millions in 2008 to 46 millions by 2013 and continue to grow due to numerous leisure activities, alpine activities and social changes. As such, Korea national parks are natural resource with high value to be conserved and are attracting significant attention as recreational spaces for people at the same time. On the other hand, there have been issues of soil erosions or disturbed vegetation due to increased number of visitor to the national parks. Korea national parks area damage to its type and damage characteristics to analyse the 13 Korea national parks out of 21 on July 2012 March, Korea national parks over the subjects of the National Park from damaged area status Survey analysis by the Korea National Park Service. As a result, 203 million units in the 16 Korea national parks damaged land of the reform package during ecological trail (including non-regular hiking trails) 153 (77.66%), damaged valleys 20(9.14%) independent damaged area, 13 disconnected ecological axis(7.61%), closed trail(2.03%) (3.55%), and line type damage(like a non-regular hiking trails) appears to be a high ratio. Korea national parks damaged land of the results identified, by contrast ratio and the annual number of visitors Bukhansan national park(49.26%), Gyeongju national park(23.65%) damaged land rates, such as Seorasan national park(4.93%), Songnisan national park (4.43 %), Gyeryongsan national park(3.45%), and the annual number of visitors be similar result. The National Park Service has been reporting on damages and restorations but damages and their types have not been established yet. Damages have been generally studied and categorized on hiking trails due caused by heavy traffic on them but the reports were limited on hiking trails only. Since damage to the Korea national parks are not limited on the hiking trails, it is necessary to determine damages in various aspects. Thus, in this study, damage types, spatial characteristics, causes and restorations are analyzed based on the survey results of damages to national parks in order to provide a basis for the efficient management and operation of the Korea national parks.

엑스선에 의한 반도체 소자의 방사선 손상 (Radiation Damage of Semiconductor Device by X-ray)

  • 최근 방사선을 이용한 반도체 검사장비 산업의 증가로 이에 대한 기술 연구 수요 또한 증가하고 있다. 반도체 검사장비는 저에너지 엑스선으로 최저 40 keV에서 최고 120 keV의 에너지 영역을 사용하고 있지만, 국내에서는 저에너지 엑스선이 주는 방사선 손상 연구가 미흡한 상황이다. 따라서 본 연구는 저에너지 엑스선을 이용하여 반도체 소자의 한 종류인 BJT (bipolor junction transistor)가 받는 방사선 손상에 관한 것이다. BJT는 NXP반도체사의 BC817-25(NPN type)를 사용하였으며, 엑스선 발생장치를 사용하여 엑스선을 조사하였다. BJT의 방사선 손상 여부는 엑스선 조사 전과 후에 전류 이득을 10으로 고정하고, 콜렉터 전류에 따른 콜렉터-이미터 전압을 측정하여 변화 정도를 분석하여 확인하였다. 엑스선 발생장치의 관전압은 40 kVp, 60 kVp, 80 kVp, 100 kVp, 120 kVp 등 다섯 가지로, 조사 시간은 60초, 120초, 180초, 360초, 540초 등 다섯 가지로 변수를 두었다. 실험 결과 BJT에서 저에너지 엑스선 즉, 120 keV 이하의 엑스선을 조사하여도 방사선 손상이 발생하는 것을 확인하였고, 특히 80 kVp에서 가장 큰 방사선 손상이 발생되었다. 이는 ELDRS (enhanced low dose rate sensitivity) 현상이 80 kVp을 기준으로 발생되는 것으로 판단된다. 본 연구의 결과는 저에너지 엑스선을 이용한 반도체 검사장비의 효율적인 선량관리와 엑스선 여과기의 연구 및 개발에 기여할 것으로 기대한다.

침수흔적도를 활용한 침수지역 유형화에 관한 연구 -부산광역시를 사례로- (A Study on Flood Area Typology Using the Inundation Trace Map - A Case Study of Busan Metropolitan City -)

  • 최근 기후변화에 따른 국지성 집중호우나 홍수로 인해 침수피해, 환경파괴 등 인명피해나 재산피해가 증가하고 있는 추세이다. 특히, 도시의 난개발로 인한 불투수율 증가로 인해 침수 빈도 증가와 함께 침수지역의 확대로 인한 많은 재산피해가 발생하고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 2009년부터 구축된 부산지역의 침수흔적도를 이용하여 부산광역시의 해운대구, 수영구, 사하구를 대상으로 침수지역의 유형화를 통해 각 유형별 침수피해 원인 분석 및 방지 대책을 제시하였다. 이를 위해 침수지역을 내수범람형, 하천범람형, 해수범람형으로 분류한 후 사전예방 중심의 방지대책을 관리체계 측면, 인프라 구축 측면, 시스템 측면으로 나누어 관련성을 부여함으로써 보다 더 객관적이고 과학적으로 침수문제에 접근하였고 이러한 연구를 통해 추후 침수흔적도의 활용에 관한 활성화 방안을 제시하였다.

보존방안 수립을 위한 청송 신성리 공룡발자국 화석지의 손상도 진단 및 물성평가 (Deterioration Diagnosis and Evaluation of Physical Properties in the Dinosaur Footprint Fossils in Cheongsong Sinseongri, Korea, for the Conservation Plans)

  • 청송 신성리 공룡발자국 화석지에는 최소한 수각류 보행렬 11개, 용각류 보행렬 3개 및 조각류 보행렬 1개 이상 존재하여, 국내 다른 공룡발자국 화석지에 비해 수각류 보행렬의 밀집도가 높다. 공룡발자국의 모암은 미사암과 이암의 암상을 보이나 전체적으로 열변질을 받아 혼펠스화되어 있다. 이 화석지의 표면에는 다양한 방향의 절리가 나타나며 미세균열과 박락을 제외하면 모든 손상요인에서 낮은 점유율을 보였다. 초음파 속도 측정 결과, 화석지의 암석은 비교적 건전한 물성을 보여 안정적인 것으로 평가되었다. 공룡발자국 화석의 손상형태에 따라 보존처리 유형을 세분하면, 균열의 진전을 제어할 수 있는 강화처리가 필요한 발자국화석이 절반 이상의 비율을 보였다. 또한 발자국의 가시화를 위해 도포한 흰색 페인트가 열화되면서 암편 탈락을 유발하여 오히려 화석의 손상을 촉진하는 것으로 나타나, 이를 대체할 방안이 검토되어야 할 것이다.

Study of damage safety assessment for a ship carrying radioactive waste

  • Ship damage caused by maritime casualties leads to marine pollution and loss of life and property. To prevent serious damage from maritime casualties, several types of safety regulations are applied in ship design. Damage stability regulation is one of the most important safety issues. Designs of ships for long international voyages must comply with these regulations. Current regulations, however, do not consider the characteristics of the operating route of each ship and reflect only ship size and type of cargo. In this paper, a damage safety assessment was undertaken for a ship carrying radioactive waste in actual wave conditions. Damage cases for safety assessment were constructed on the basis of safety regulations and related research results. Hull form, internal arrangement, loading condition and damage condition were modeled for damage safety simulation. The safety simulation was performed and analyzed for 10 damage cases with various wave heights, frequency and angle of attack on an operating route. Based on evaluation results, a design alternative was generated, and it was also simulated. These results confirmed that damage safety analysis is highly important in the design stage in consideration of the operating route characteristics by simulation. Thus a ship designer can improve safety from damage in this manner.

조선 후기 왕릉 정자각 관리에 대한 문헌적 고찰 -『각릉수리등록(各陵修理謄錄, 1675-1713년)』의 정자각 훼손기록을 중심으로- (A Literary Study on the Management of the JeongJaGak(丁字閣, T shaped building) of the Joseon Royal Tombs in the Late Joseon Dynasty - Focusing on the JeongJaGak damage record of Gakneung Suri Deungnok(Records relating to the repair of royal tombs, 1675-1713) -)

  • A literature study was conducted on the management of the pavilion of the royal tomb in the late Joseon Dynasty, focusing on "Gakneung Suri Deungnok(Records relating to the repair of royal tombs)". This study analyzed the royal tomb management system, organized the types of damage identified in the building, and examined how the damage status was recorded by type. In the above, the records related to the 1675~1713 repair of three JeongJaGak(Geonwonneung, Sungneung, and Mokneung), which are registered as state-designated cultural properties, are summarized in three aspects: management system, damage status, and expression words. The results of the study are as follows. First, the royal tomb pavilion was regularly inspected by Observator(觀察使) in spring and autumn, and Surunggwan(守陵官) every 5th, and Servant(守僕) regularly inspected every day and night, and also inspected and reported emergency cases of natural disasters or unexpected damage. Second, the damage status of each building was continuously observed and reported for the continuous maintenance of the buildings in the royal tomb. A total of 75 records of damage to the three royal tombs' pavilion were found to have been most frequently inspected, including 19 cases (25.3%), 14 cases (18.7%), 23 cases (30.7%) of the roof, and 19 cases (25.3%) of the roof. Third, the expression of the damage status is confirmed in various ways, such as separation, separation, burst, damage, excitation, moisture, leakage, and exfoliation. Among them, the main damage records were confirmed due to the separation of the base from the peeling, the furniture, cracks, leaks, leaks in the roof, and the collapse of the roof was able to check the damage records.
