In Korea mobile phone subscribers exceeded 1 million people in 1995, and ten million people in 1998. Prevalence of the mobile phone increased dramatically over 110% compared to the population. Almost every family members including children uses more than one mobile terminal. Mobile phone is obviously more necessary good than washer, vacuum cleaner and passenger car. Our daily life are conveniently positioned with mobile communication, but communication related costs including the price of the device and service charges become a big burden on the household. But the government does not seem to do the right role at the right time to prevent the market failure to maximize consumer welfare and social welfare through supporting fair competition. This principal-agent problem issues of mobile communication policies will be understood in perspective of public choice against joint use of the mobile communication network, number portability, separation of phone distribution and phone service, network neutrality, mobile phone subsidy since the early 1990s when mobile phone service was introduced in Korea.
The use of polyethylene film has a problem such as increasing rural environmental contamination, collection costs and farmers' workload. The objective of this study was to evaluate bio-degradable films in terms of yield of maize and soil environment. Treatments were bio-degradable film A (BDF A), bio-degradable film B (BDF B), high density polyethylene (HDPE), and non-mulched (NM) soil. Daily mean values of soil temperature (10 cm depth) under BDF A, BDF B, and HDPE were higher than in NM soil by 2.2, 2.8, $3.1^{\circ}C$ respectively. In the mulching cultivation of maize, bio-degradable film began to degrade from 50~60days after the planting. The degradation was much progressed in the harvest time and almost decomposed in the following spring. The weight of ear of maize was not shown significantly by mulching treatments. There were little changes of soil chemical properties for the bio-degradable film mulching. After using bio-degradable films, the contents of biomass-C and dehydrogenase activity increased from 92 to $137{\sim}147mg\;kg^{-1}$, and from 87 to $123{\sim}168mg\;kg^{-1}$ respectively.
In the modern society of the 21st century where the visuality is emphasized, the illustration which expresses one symbol by embodying it is getting more spotlight than the use of character. Specifically, the fashion illustration serves the role of image promotion in other fields, for such as book, magazine, etc, as well as the fashion, and is taking root in daily lives. In response to that, this study researched on the fusion style fashion and the fashion illustration by using the violet color. The violet color which symbolizes the mysticism is being applied to society and culture in various forms, and has been considered as a precious color that represents god since ancient time, and still possesses its mysterious image even in the modern times. Moreover, as the appearance of fusion styled clothes which consolidates the latest trend image of the west and east is combined with the mysterious image of the purple to express new cultural image beyond highlighting specific image element of a country, the study on the fashion illustration based on the clothes based on the purple and fusion style would be very interesting. This study tried to produce the work that aims at the practical study based on the purple & fusion style and the theoretical consideration of fashion illustration through the analysis and investigative study of preceding studies. The findings from the study is like this: First, the violet the color, which represents the mysticism, can be confirmed to be an sophisticated, elegant and attractive image color that leads the modern fashion. Second, the fusion style which is coming into the spotlight recently can be found to have a great visual effect of consolidating the image of the west and east through the mixture with the purple color. Third, it was confirmed in our production of works that the fashion illustration was expressing a mysterious and new fusion style by blending appropriately with the purple color.
Since the first dietitian was produced in Korean about 15 years ago the Korena Dietetic Association has grown up to have its 8,500 members as of March, 1979. This study was undertaken to survey the status of hospital dietitians and their bob analysis. current practices were learned and the problems identified mainly in such aspects as : 1. Do the hospitals have enough dietitians? 2.What is the administrative position of the dietetics in the hospital? 3. What is the salary level of the dietitians? 4. How professional are the dietitian's daily tasks? How appropriately are the jobs distributed among the dietary employees? and 5. Do the hospital dietetics have their own diet manuals to go by? The findings are : 1. The severly lacking number of dietitians are employed by the hospitals where one dietitian is responsible for the feeding and nutrition education of 171 in-patients on the average. 2. The administrative position of hospital dietetics appears to be low showing administrative position of hospital dietetics appears to be low showing only 45.7% of the sample hospitals recognize their dietetics as the independent department or section. 3. The starting salary of the 4-year college graduate dietitians is 151,450 won which is 89.23-87.26% of the average starting salary for the 4-year college graduates I 1979. The starting salary for the 4-year college graduates in 1979. the starting salary of the 2-year college graduate dietitians is 148,000 won which is 113.9% of the average standard salary for the 2-year college graduates in 1979. 4. The hospital dietitians spend most of their time doing clerical jobs rather than the jobs utilizing higher priority professional skills they ought to perform. the most obvious cause of the problem can be found in the lack of man power for the general clerical jobs in the dietetics which can be proven from the small number of dietary clerks hired by the sample hospitals not even one person (0.45) per hospital on the average. 5. 68.6% of the sample dietetics have some form of compiled diet manuals or guidelines. 11.4% of the samples have diet guide lines ready for the important diets only. 14.3% of the samples do not have any form of diet guideline prepared. 5.7% of the samples use reference diet manuals from other hospitals when need.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the frequency and the course of delirium, and identify risk factors for the development of delirium in surgical intensive care unit (SICU). Methods: Subjects older than 19 years admitted to the SICU were recruited. After informed written consent, enrolled subjects had baseline cognitive and functional assessments. Subjects were assessed daily for delirium using the Confusion Assessment Method-ICU (CAM-ICU). Results: During the study period, 110 patients were enrolled. The overall incidence of delirium was 20% (22/110). The average time to onset of delirium was 3.04(${\pm}1.25$) days. Several variables were associated with an increased risk of delirium including older age (p<.05), higher admission APACHE II score (p<.001), use of opioid and analgesics (p<.01), using physical restraints (p<.001), and intraoperative hypotension (p<.05). In a multivariate logistic regression model, using physical restraints (p<.001), intraoperative hypotension (p<.05), and older age (p<.05) remained significant predictors of the delirium development. Conclusion: Using physical restraints, intraoperative hypotension and older age was strongly associated with development of delirium in the SICU. Prevention measures need to focus on identifying patients at higher risk for delirium development.

Purpose: This study was aimed to examine the effects of smartphone overuse and individual factors including age, relationship with friends, satisfaction with school life, and time of smartphone usage on perceived cognitive functions, fatigue, and daytime sleepiness among college students. Methods: Three-hundred college students were recruited after confirming the absence of major depressive symptoms. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation, and multiple regression. Results: Smartphone overuse commonly explained the variance in perceived cognitive functions, fatigue, and daytime sleepiness, after controlling for individual factors. In addition, satisfaction with school life was significantly related with better effectiveness of cognitive functions while being male, having good relationships with friends and satisfaction with school life were relatively associated with a lower level of fatigue. Conclusion: The findings of this study revealed that the overuse of smartphone can serve as a psycho-cognitive burden leading to ineffective functioning in daily living. Students who are female and have issues regarding school life and friendship may be a high risk group for experiencing psycho-cognitive dysfunction associated with smartphone overuse. Further investigation is needed to develop effective interventions to improve psycho-cognitive health associated with the excessive use of smartphone in young adults.
The purpose of this study was to find out the physical change of the farm house and its anbang(the main room : master bed room), to identify the behavioral changes : activity and awareness of anbang, and to clarify the relationship between the physical changes of the farm house, and the behavioral changes of housing life-style in the anbang space. Bibliographical studies, cultural approaches and field survey method with questionnaire were used to collect data from 55 residents of Anwhari and Yangkyori in Pyong Teck Koon. Tables and drawings were made to analyze the data. The major findings were 1) the heating system of the ondol anbang. The most popular type is the double heating system(new pipes added to the traditional ondol). This combination ondol system brought some conviniences to the farmers. This change in structure of the ondol were of four types : Complete change in style, enlarged-completely changed style, partially changed style, enlarged-partially changed style. 2) from 1960 through 1970 lighting of the anbang changed room oil lamp to electricity. 3) the finishing material of the anbang floor changed from traditional oil paper and straw mats to vinyl flooring. 4) Traditional furniture and small decor items are gradually disappearing and are being replaced by modern items. 5) The awareness and actual use of the ondol anbang has not much changed from the multi-functional and sacred space of daily living : which are the characteristics of Korean traditional ondol anbang. The biggest consistency in the ondol anbang is the heating system of the floor, which is the characteristic of ondol culture in Korea. This system will continue regardless of time and place in Korea.

This study is aimed to better understand the lifestyle and fashion trend of Korea in 1954 and 1955, a period right after the Korean War. The study examined "The Journey of Duty", which was a color slide film of Seoul and Suwon made by a US soldier stationed in Korea during that time, as well as various documents. The films are assumed to be outcomes of the US Army wanting to record the situation in Korea, and the study was able to use 110 of the slides to examine the fashion trend of the times. There are three noticeable trends shown on "The Journey of duty". Koreans in western clothes, women wearing work pants called Momppae, and black color being in fashion. Most of the men and the children either wore only western clothes or western clothes with the Hanbok. But women rarely wore western-style clothing, such as blouse with skirt. They usually wore Hanbok or wore reformed Hanbok. The work pants, Momppae, becoming an everyday wear is the most unique finding from the slides. Women either wore just the pants or over the traditional Korean skirt. Black-colored clothes were in fashion. This color first spread after the Costume Reform Movement in the 1920s' and the prohibition of white robe. The wearing of white clothes did increase after the Korean liberation in 1945, as national spirit was promoted. However, many people still wore black due to economic reasons, as we as practical reasons. So the Korean fashion in 1954-1955 was in a transition period, as people were beginning to change their daily wears from traditional Korean costumes to western-styled clothes. The reasons for this change could be attributed to people only having access to western goods, as well as their awareness of western-styled clothes being more practical.
The present study analysed the various productive and reproductive characteristics of 1/2 Pabna Milking Cows (PMC)-1/2 Sahiwal (S) and 1/4 PMC-3/4 S collected from the Pabna milkshed area at Baghabarighat, Sirajgonj, Bangladesh. The studied traits were birth weight (BWT), age at puberty (AP), number of services per conception (NSC), post partum heat period (PPHP), gestation period (GP), daily milk yield (DMY), lactational production (LP), lactation length (LL), fat percentage and solids-not-fat percentage (SNFP). Five individual Sahiwal sires were used for the upgrading of Pabna Milking Cows. The used data covered from 1987 to 1994. Least-squares analysis of variance showed that genetic group had a significant effect on BWT (P < 0.05), AP (p < 0.01), DMY (p < 0.01), LP (p < 0.001), LL (p < 0.05), FP (p < 0.05) and SNFP (p < 0.01). Genetic group had non-significant effect on NSC, GP and PPHP. The effect of sire was significant on BWT (p < 0.01), NSC (p < 0.01), LP (p < 0.05) and LL (p < 0.05). The AP, NSC, DMY, LP, LL and SNFP were higher in 1/2 PMC-1/2S cows; BWT and PPHP were higher in 1/4 PMC-3/4S but GP and FP were almost same in both genetic groups. From this study it may be concluded that production and use of 1/2 PMC-1/2S would seem more profitable for commercial milk production in the Bangladesh Milk Producers' Cooperative Union Limited (BMPCUL) area and at the same time emphasis should be given on rigorous sire selection.
