청주 및 전주지역 유통 농산물 중 잔류농약 모니터링 (Monitoring of Pesticide Residues in Agricultural Products Collected from Markets in Cheongju and Jeonju)

  • 청주지역과 전주지역의 유통농산물 중 농약잔류실태와 안전성을 평가하기 위하여 각 지역의 도매시장과 재래시장에서 농산물을 채취하여 분석하였다. 청주지역의 시장에서 채취한 시료에서는 잔류농약이 검출되지 않았으나 전주지역에서 채취한 농산물의 경우는 도매시장 농산물에서 가지 등 5종의 농산물에서 chlorothalonil 등 3종의 농약이 검출되었으며, 재래시장 농산물에서는 토마토와 포도에서 azoxystrobin 등 3종의 농약이 검출되어 전주지 역의 농산물에서는 10.9%의 검출율을 보였다. 그러나 검출농약은 모두 잔류허용기준 미만이었다. 검출농약이 해당 농산물의 섭취로 인체에 유입될 잔류농약의 일일섭취추정량은 ADI의 0.00102-0.03616%로 매우 낮아 안전한 것으로 판단되었다.

Monitoring of Food and Nutrition Information in the Articles of Four Major Daily Newspapers

  • This study was done to analyze the contents of food and nutrition information in daily newspapers. Articles in four newspapers(Chosun, Donga, Hankook, Joongang Ilbo) published during November 2003 to April 2004 were monitored. In analysis, 216 articles were used. Classifying the articles by topics, cuisine/cooking $(19.4\%)$ and food/ nutrition related to diseases $(18.1\%)$ were most common. Articles regarding food sanitation or safety, obesity and diet accounted for $12.5\%$, respectively. Other topics in articles included food culture$(11.1\%)$, balanced meals/eating habits $(10.6\%)$ and functional foods $(7.9\%)$. About $77\%$ of articles were written for unspecified persons. Regarding the types of articles, news articles made up $44\%$ of monitored articles, followed by feature articles $(14.8\%)$, advertisement by articles $(12.9\%)$, serials by professionals $(11.6\%)$, and information of daily life $(8.8\%)$. Nineteen percent of articles did not have specific sources, while $20.8\%$ were based on interviews with professionals. Other sources of articles included research reports $(14.8\%)$, field reports $(12.1\%)$ and literature $(8.8\%)$. Contents analysis showed that four-fifth of articles were evaluated as 'contents and titles are consistent', 'not difficult to understand', 'contents are not exaggerated', and 'information is not overgeneralized'. Seventy-one percent of articles were evaluated positively on increasing awareness regarding food/nutrition, while $56.5\%$ were evaluated as providing practical information. The major problems in articles were 'intentional or indirect advertisements of specific items/companies' ($74.6\%$ of articles applicable), 'lacking in scientific basis/explanation' $(65.3\%)$, 'presenting unbalanced information due to focusing on specific area' $(46.7\%)$, 'unclearness of contents' $(38.4\%)$, and 'lacking in explanation of technical terms' $(35.2\%)$. To provide reliable information, stating the sources of articles clearly and supplementing the articles with scientific basis and balanced information on specific topics are needed. It is also necessary to explain the contents and technical terms clearly and to reduce the contents of intentional, indirect advertisement in nutrition-related articles.

제2호 정지궤도 해양탑재체(GOCI-II)의 임무 및 요구사양 (Missions and User Requirements of the 2nd Geostationary Ocean Color Imager (GOCI-II))

  • 세계 최초로 개발된 정지궤도 해색탑재체(GOCI-I, Geostationary Ocean Color Imager-I)이 2010년 6월에 발사될 예정이다. GOCI-I의 수명은 약 7년 이므로 위성개발 소요기간 약 6년을 고려하면 제2호 정지궤도 해색탑재체의 개발을 위한 임무 및 이용자 요구사양을 준비해야할 시점이 되었다. 제2호의 임무는 우선 1호의 임무를 승계하는 것이므로 제1호와 유사한 관측 임무를 갖지만 가장 큰 차이점은 장기 기후 변화에 대응한 지구규모적 관측에 있다. 그리고 기존의 Local 관측은 그 공간해상도의 성능을 더 향상시킨 $250m{\times}250m$로 하였고, 1호에 비하여 부족한 band 수를 보강하여 12 개로 하였다. 어장정보를 위한 야간 관측을 위한 Panchromatic band를 추가하였다. 동시에 한반도 주변 고정된 영역 관측기능을 구름이 없는 해역 혹은 special event area로 신축적으로 변경 시킬 수 있는 기능을 갖게 함으로써 위성자료의 활용도를 크게 높이었다. 위성 운용은 1호와 같은 일 8회 관측, 그리고 Global mode인 full disk 관측에서는 일 1-2회 정도 관측할 수 있도록 하였다. 그리고 본 연구에서는 지금까지 위성개발 추진방법의 문제점을 해소한 개선된 개발 추진 방안에 대하여서도 제시하였다. 그 외 제2호의 하드웨어적인 구조 및 디자인에 대하여서는 국내외 개발사와의 상호협의가 필요하다.

CNN-LSTM 기반의 상지 재활운동 실시간 모니터링 시스템 (CNN-LSTM-based Upper Extremity Rehabilitation Exercise Real-time Monitoring System)

  • 재활환자는 수술 치료 후 신속한 사회복귀를 목적으로 신체적 기능 회복을 위하여 통원치료 및 일상에서 재활운동을 수행한다. 병원에서 전문 치료사의 도움으로 운동을 수행하는 것과 달리 일상에서 환자 스스로 재활운동을 수행하는 것은 많은 어려움이 있다. 본 논문에서는 일상에서 환자 스스로 효율적이고 올바른 자세로 재활운동을 수행할 수 있도록 CNN-LSTM 기반의 상지 재활운동 실시간 모니터링 시스템을 제안한다. 제안한 시스템은 EMG, IMU가 탑재된 어깨 착용형 하드웨어를 통해 생체신호를 계측하고 학습을 위한 전처리 과정과 정규화를 진행하여 학습 데이터세트로 사용하였다. 구현된 모델은 특징 검출을 위한 3개 합성곱 레이어 3개의 폴링 레이어, 분류를 위한 2개의 LSTM 레이어로 구성되어 있으며 검증 데이터에 대한 학습 결과 97.44%를 확인할 수 있었다. 이후 Teachable machine과의 비교평가를 진행하였으며 비교평가 결과 구현된 모델은 93.6%, Teachable machine은 94.4%로 두 모델이 유사한 분류 성능을 나타내는 것을 확인하였다.

  • The domestic needs for larger capability of power sources are increasing to cope with the expanding power load which results from the industrial developments & the progressed life style. In summer, the peak load is mainly due to the non-industrial reasons such as air-conditioners and other cooling equipments. To cover the concentrated peak load in stable, the power transmission lines should be more constructed and efficiently operated. The ampacity design of the underground cable system is generally following international standards such as IEC287, IEC60853 and JCS168 which regards the shape of 100% daily full power loads. It is not so efficient to neglect the real shapes of load curves generally below 60~70% of full load. The dynamic (real time) rating system tends to be used with the measured thermal parameters which make it possible to calculate the maximum ampacity within required periods. In this paper, the CTM(Conductor Temperature Monitoring) which is the base of dynamic rating systems for tunnel environment is proposed by a design of lumped thermal network ($\pi$-type thermal model) and distribution temperature sensor attached configuration, including the estimation results of its performances by load cycle test on 345kV single phase XLPE cable.

유비쿼터스 환경을 위한 하프미러형 인터페이스 시스템 개발과 응용 (Development of Half-Mirror Interface System and Its Application for Ubiquitous Environment)

  • In the era of ubiquitous computing, human-friendly man-machine interface is getting more attention due to its possibility to offer convenient services. For this, in this paper, we introduce a 'Half-Mirror Interface System (HMIS)' as a novel type of human-friendly man-machine interfaces. Basically, HMIS consists of half-mirror, USB-Webcam, microphone, 2ch-speaker, and high-speed processing unit. In our HMIS, two principal operation modes are selected by the existence of the user in front of it. The first one, 'mirror-mode', is activated when the user's face is detected via USB-Webcam. In this mode, HMIS provides three basic functions such as 1) make-up assistance by magnifying an interested facial component and TTS (Text-To-Speech) guide for appropriate make-up, 2) Daily weather information provider via WWW service, 3) Health monitoring/diagnosis service using Chinese medicine knowledge. The second one, 'display-mode' is designed to show decorative pictures, family photos, art paintings and so on. This mode is activated when the user's face is not detected for a time being. In display-mode, we also added a 'healing-window' function and 'healing-music player' function for user's psychological comfort and/or relaxation. All these functions are accessible by commercially available voice synthesis/recognition package.

  • 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅 기술의 발전과 함께 의료와 접목되어 시간과 공간에 구애받지 않고 언제 어디서나 건강관리를 받을 수 있는 새로운 형태의 의료서비스인 U-헬스케어가 많은 관심을 받고 있다. U-헬스케어를 실현하기 위해서는 일상생활 중 안정적인 생체정보 모니터링이 필수적이며 사용자를 구속하지 않으면서 생체정보를 간편히 측정할 수 있는 생체정보 측정 모듈이 연구되고 있으며 이를 통해 생체정보를 모니터링 하고자하는 시도들이 이루어지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 U-헬스케어를 위한 무선센서네트워크기반의 소형, 경량의 온도 센서노드를 제작하고 패치 형태로 신체에 부착하여 사용자의 활동에 불편함이 없이 실시간으로 체온을 측정하고 모니터링하여 이를 활용할 수 있는 방안을 제시하였다.

  • This paper presents an experimental study on a new potential geothermal energy source obtained from tunnel structures. An "energy textile", which is a textile-type ground heat exchanger, was fabricated between a shotcrete layer and a guided drainage geotextile in the tunnel lining system. To examine the long-term thermal behavior of the energy textile, the difference in temperatures of the inlet and outlet fluid circulating through the heat exchange pipe within the energy textile was monitored using a constant-temperature water bath. Daily heat exchange rate of the energy textile during cooling operation was estimated from the measured temperatures of the inlet and outlet fluid through the energy textile. The air and ground temperature was also continuously monitored. The operation of the energy textile as a ground heat exchanger was simulated using a 3D numerical CFD model (Fluent). The thermal conductivity of shotcrete and concrete lining components and temperature variation of air in the tunnel were incorporated in the model. The numerical analysis shows a good agreement with the long-term monitoring result.

Heart Rate Measurement Combining Motion and Color Information

  • Daily monitoring of the heart rate can facilitate detection of heart-related diseases in their early stages. Therefore, providing an easy-to-use and noninvasive heart rate monitoring system has been a very popular research topic in the field of healthcare. One of good candidate methods is to use commonly available cameras and extract information that can help to estimate heart rate from a human face. Generally, such information can be retrieved using two different approaches: photoplethysmography (PPG) and ballistocardiography (BCG). PPG exploits slight color changes caused by blood volume variations during heartbeats; thus, it tends to be vulnerable to unstable lighting conditions. BCG exploits subtle head motions caused by pumped blood travelling through the carotid artery during heartbeats; thus, it is vulnerable to the voluntary head movements that are not related to heartbeats. Nevertheless, most related works use either to estimate the heart rate. In this paper, we propose to combine two approaches to be robust to challenging conditions. Specifically, we explore possible ways to combine raw signals obtained from two approaches and verify that the proposed combination shows better accuracies under challenging conditions, such as voluntary head movements and ambient lighting changes.

휴대용 불안 증후 측정기 개발에 관한 연구 (A study on an Ambulatory Monitoring of Vital Signs for Anxiety)

  • This research has reported that the selection and assessment of treatment in anxiety disorders depend to a large extend on patient reports of somatic symptomatology. However, the correspondence between such reports and actual physiological data Is unknown as the physiological measures used were taken in laboratory. The purpose of the ambulatory momboring device is, therefore, to present for analysis physiological data derived from the sub jects during their daily activities. The physiological parameters of interest are heart rate, respiratory rate, skin conductance level/response, skin temperature, and activity level. This device had an microcomputer based data acquisition unit, Interfaced to it for the purpose of data collection. The data is collected usually over a period of 12 hours. The data from the ambulatory monitoring device can be used to assess the psychophysiology of anxiety in the field. The data from the device will also reveal if patients who report different sets of symptoms differ physiologically too. Thls will help physicians for the right kind of treatment and also solve the many uncertainties that have existed thus far in quantizing anxiety.
