In this study, wearable ECG measurement system was implemented for health monitoring during daily life. A wearable belt-type ECG electrode worn around the chest by measuring the real-time ECG is produced in order to minimize the inconvenience in wearing. The measured ECG signal is transmitted via an ultra low power consumption wireless data communications unit to personal computer using Zigbee-compatible wireless sensor node. The ECG monitoring program is developed at end user which is personal computer. The measured ECG contains many noises mainly due to motion artifacts. For ECG signal processing, adaptive filtering process is proposed which can reduce motion artifacts efficiently and accurately than digital filter. The experimental results show that a reliable performance with high quality ECG signal can be achieved using this wearable ECG monitoring system.
Communication Ocean Meteorological Satellite (COMS) for the hybrid mission of meteorological observation, ocean monitoring, and telecommunication service was launched onto Geostationary Earth Orbit on June 27, 2010 and it is currently under normal operation service on $128.2^{\circ}$ East of the geostationary orbit since April 2011. In order to perform the three missions, the COMS has 3 separate payloads, the meteorological imager (MI), the Geostationary Ocean Color Imager (GOCI), and the Ka-band antenna. The MI and GOCI perform the Earth observation mission of meteorological observation and ocean monitoring, respectively. For this Earth observation mission the COMS requires daily mission commands from the satellite control ground station and daily mission is affected by the satellite control activities. For this reason daily mission planning is required. The Earth observation mission operation of COMS is described in aspects of mission operation characteristics and mission planning for the normal operation services of meteorological observation and ocean monitoring. And the first one-year normal operation results after the In-Orbit-Test (IOT) are investigated through statistical approach to provide the achieved COMS normal operation status for the Earth observation mission.
Variations in PM10 concentration between 2000 and 2005 from 84 urban air monitoring stations operated by the government were analyzed. The K-means cluster analysis was attempted using annual average and the 99th percentile of daily averages as parameters. The results obtained by excluding Asian dust episode days were compared with those obtained by using all available data. In any cases, the cluster with the highest mean concentration was mostly composed of stations in Seoul and Gyeonggi. Annual average of the cluster with the highest mean concentration showed a distinct decreasing trend, but that excluding Asian dust episode days did not show such a trend. Without Asian dust episode days high concentrations of monthly averages in March and April were also not observed. The effect of Asian dust was more pronounced in the 99th percentile of daily averages. The 99th percentile of daily averages of the cluster with the highest mean concentration was the highest in June following downs in April and May.
Associations between parents' knowledge of their adolescent child's daily activities, 3 sources of parental knowledge, children's feelings of being controlled, and the child-reported parent-child relationship were explored among 161 seventh grade, 158 eighth, 145 tenth, and 142 eleventh grade boys. Children's spontaneous disclosure explained more parental knowledge of their daily activities than parental solicitation or parental control. For 10th grade children, the association between parental control and children's feelings of being controlled was moderated by the mother-child relationship. Tenth and eleventh grade children's disclosure were more strongly associated with parent-child relationship than with parental control and children's feelings of being controlled.

Early detection of schedule delay in field construction activities is vital to project management. It provides the opportunity to initiate remedial actions and increases the chance of controlling such overruns or minimizing their impacts. This entails project managers to design, implement, and maintain a systematic approach for progress monitoring to promptly identify, process and communicate discrepancies between actual and as-planned performances as early as possible. Despite importance, systematic implementation of progress monitoring is challenging: (1) Current progress monitoring is time-consuming as it needs extensive as-planned and as-built data collection; (2) The excessive amount of work required to be performed may cause human-errors and reduce the quality of manually collected data and since only an approximate visual inspection is usually performed, makes the collected data subjective; (3) Existing methods of progress monitoring are also non-systematic and may also create a time-lag between the time progress is reported and the time progress is actually accomplished; (4) Progress reports are visually complex, and do not reflect spatial aspects of construction; and (5) Current reporting methods increase the time required to describe and explain progress in coordination meetings and in turn could delay the decision making process. In summary, with current methods, it may be not be easy to understand the progress situation clearly and quickly. To overcome such inefficiencies, this research focuses on exploring application of unsorted daily progress photograph logs - available on any construction site - as well as IFC-based 4D models for progress monitoring. Our approach is based on computing, from the images themselves, the photographer's locations and orientations, along with a sparse 3D geometric representation of the as-built scene using daily progress photographs and superimposition of the reconstructed scene over the as-planned 4D model. Within such an environment, progress photographs are registered in the virtual as-planned environment, allowing a large unstructured collection of daily construction images to be interactively explored. In addition, sparse reconstructed scenes superimposed over 4D models allow site images to be geo-registered with the as-planned components and consequently, a location-based image processing technique to be implemented and progress data to be extracted automatically. The result of progress comparison study between as-planned and as-built performances can subsequently be visualized in the D4AR - 4D Augmented Reality - environment using a traffic light metaphor. In such an environment, project participants would be able to: 1) use the 4D as-planned model as a baseline for progress monitoring, compare it to daily construction photographs and study workspace logistics; 2) interactively and remotely explore registered construction photographs in a 3D environment; 3) analyze registered images and quantify as-built progress; 4) measure discrepancies between as-planned and as-built performances; and 5) visually represent progress discrepancies through superimposition of 4D as-planned models over progress photographs, make control decisions and effectively communicate those with project participants. We present our preliminary results on two ongoing construction projects and discuss implementation, perceived benefits and future potential enhancement of this new technology in construction, in all fronts of automatic data collection, processing and communication.
Daily and seasonal variations of the ambient gamma ray exposure rates were measured by using a pressurized ion chamber from January 2003 to December 2005 in the CheongJu Regional Radiation Monitoring Post and the patterns of the distributions were studied. The annual average of the daily variation of the exposure rate was $\sim0.17{\mu}R/h$. The exposure rate was found to be maximum during 8:00 am to 9:00 am and minimum during 8:00 pm to 10:00 pm. For the annual data, the exposure rate was the minimum during the month of February. The exposure rate increased from February to mid-October (except during the period from May to July with no change) and decreased from October to February. The seasonal variation was found to be about $1{\mu}R/h$. Most of the measured values (96%) of the exposure rates fell under the normal distribution with a deviation of less than 4.8% and the remaining 4% had large fluctuations caused mainly by the rainfalls.
We have been performing daily VLBI monitoring of the flux density of Sagittarius (Sgr) $A^{\ast}$ at 22 GHz from February 2013 to August 2014 using a sub-array of the Japanese VLBI Network (JVN). The purpose of this monitoring is to explore the flux density variability at daily time resolution for a period longer than one year with the G2 cloud approaching. The flux density of Sgr $A^{\ast}$ is basically stable during the observational period, though there are some small variations. The average and scattering range are consistent with the previously observed values. We have observed no strong flare of Sgr $A^{\ast}$ although it is near the expected peri-center passing.
It is necessary to develop flow duration curve (FDC) on each unit watershed in order to analyze flow conditions in the stream for the management of Total Maximum Daily Loads (TMDLs). This study investigated a simple method to develop FDC for the general use of the curve. A simple equation for daily flow estimation was derived from the regression analysis between the 8-day interval flow data of a unit watershed and the daily flow monitoring data of an adjacent upstream region. FDC can be prepared with the calculation of daily flow by the equation for each unit watershed. An annual and a full-period FDC were drawn for each unit watershed in Guem river basin. Standard flow such as low and ordinary flow can be obtained from the annual FDC. Major percentile of flow such as 10, 25, 50, 75 or 90% can be obtained from the full-period FDC. It is considered that this simple method of developing FDC can be utilized more widely for the calculation of standard flow and the assessment of water quality in the process of TMDLs.
Objective : As treatments for breast cancer require long period of time, the patients need continuous monitoring and management of their health related quality of life. The purpose of this preliminary study is to explore the utility of monitoring quality of life using a mobile phone based application, which was developed to enable the patients to report daily quality of life more efficiently. Methods : Department of psychiatry, breast cancer center and U-health team of Asan Medical Center collaborated in developing a mobile application titled 'DugunDugun'. Through the application, patients with breast cancer receiving neo-adjuvant chemotherapy could report on various questions about their daily quality of life. We extracted and explored the daily basis of the data of sleep duration, number of awake, sleep satisfaction, mood and anxiety from nine patients who reported on the questionnaire for more than a month. Results : The longitudinal data collected using our mobile application well represented the characteristics of individual sleep patterns and daily emotional changes. Most of the patients showed high daily variations in the scores of their quality of life while their averaged scores were similar among patients. The patient with highest daily variations in the subjective sleep quality and daily emotional change had highest score corresponding to moderate depression in Beck Depression Inventory (BDI). Conclusion : The results suggest that mobile application could be a useful tool for monitoring and collecting the daily quality of life in the patients with breast cancer. We expect that mobile application could facilitate early detection and proper intervention for the cancer patients at psychological crisis.

The daily irrigation water intakes from five reservoirs were measured and the water management characteristics analyzed . During the irrigation seasons in 1998 , the total water supply rates ranged from 534 to 864 mm, and thedelivery losses varied from5 to 17 pervent. Major factors affecting the water supply rates were rice transplanting and water management , and rainfall distributions during the growing seasons. The consumptive uses and effective rainfall from each researvoir were compared satisfactorily with the simulated results from the Daily Irrigation Reservoir Operation Model , DIROM.
