The nephrotic syndrome that occurs in the absence of renal vein thrombosis, amyloidosis, neoplastic infiltration of the kidneys is an unusual but a well recognized paraneoplastic syndrome. The most frequently reported neoplasms associated with nephrotic syndrome are Hodgkin's disease and various carcinomas. The most common renal lesions are membranous glomerulonephritis(MGN) associated with carcinomas and minimal change lesions associated with Hodgkin's disease. Approximately 40% to 45% of patients clinically manifest the MGN symptoms prior to the diagnosis of the tumor, 40% simultaneously with the tumor and the remaining 15% to 20% following the tumor. Therefore, evaluating the underlying malignancy in patients with MGN is important. Here we report a patient with squamous cell lung cancer, which was detected 12 months after a MGN had been diagnosed, with a review of the relevant literature.

Objectives : Accumulation point is a useful acupoint for acute pain diseases. Among the eight extra meridians, only four (Yin Heel, Yang Heel, Yin Link, Yang Link vessel) have accumulation point and the others (Governor, Conception, Thoroughfare, Belt Vessel) do not. However, there is no explanation why these four meridians do not have it. So, the authors researched the literature to look for the reasons. Methods : We investigated 10 books and 1 paper about the 'accumulation point of extra meridians' using several search engines and researched reason why the other 4 meridian do not have it. Results : All of the 16 accumulation points are located on the 4 limbs. The four limbs have more Yang energy than the trunk. The governor, conception, thoroughfare, and belt vessels do not flow in the limbs. It seems that there is no acupoint located on deep gap enough to be the accumulation point among the four vessels. When it comes to the functions of these vessels, they are little related with the acute pain that is the main target of the accumulation point. Conclusions : From the results of this study, it seems to be reasonable that the four vessels do not have accumulation point.

The objective of this study is to investigate a priority and selection of agricultural specialization items from Daegu and Gyeongbuk region by using analytical tools such as, the Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP) and the Scoring Method. The results of this study are as follows; 1) Five major items were selected for each region based on Daegu and Gyeongbuk regional agricultural performances. 2) The results of AHP analysis, Daegu and Gyeongbuk's agricultural experts evaluated the weight of three decision-elements(objectiveness 0.35, efficiency 0.341, identity 0.309) and seven decision-elements. 3) Results of AHP and Scoring Method analysis, Investigated a priority of agricultural specialization 3 items in 25 cities and districts Daegu and Gyeongbuk regional agricultural performances. 4) Finally, The results of this study will provide basic information on agricultural specialization policy in Daegu and Gyeongbuk region.

A glomus tumor is an uncommon soft tissue tumor that is most commonly found in the subungual area and a glomus originating in the trachea is extremely rare. Histologically and ultrastructurally, these tumors have been divided into three subtypes: classic glomus tumors, glomangiomas, and glomangiomyomas. Glomangiomyomas account for less than 10% of all glomus tumors and are the least common type. We report a case of a 54-year-old man with glomangiomyoma of the trachea who presented with stridor. We treated the tumor by segmental resection and primary repair via a transcervical approach.

In this paper, we consider a discrete ratio-dependent predator-prey system with harvesting effect. In order to investigate dynamical behaviors of this system, first we find out all fixed points of the system and then classify their stabilities by using their Jacobian matrices and local stability method. Next, we display some numerical examples to substantiate theoretical results and finally, we show numerically, by means of a bifurcation diagram, that various dynamical behaviors including cycles, periodic doubling bifurcation and chaotic bands can be existed.

Chemical bath deposition (CBD) process conditions for depositing CdS buffer layers was studied for high efficiencies of CIGS thin film solar cells. Growth rate of CdS thin films has an effect on surface morphology and quality of thin films. By the change of growth rate, CdS buffer layers showed a large difference in surface morphology and this difference was closely related with the photovoltaic properties of CIGS solar cells.

최근 전 세계적으로 비만의 문제점이 드러남에 따라 국가적 차원에서 비만인구를 줄이기 위한 노력을 하고 있다. 비만 해소에 가장 효율적인 운동으로 평가받고 있는 걷기운동을 효율적이고 효과적으로 수행할 수 있도록 도와주는 만보기는 다양한 형태의 기기 또는 어플리케이션으로 큰 인기를 얻고 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 보다 정확한 만보기를 제작하기 위해 센서 및 체형, 신발의 종류에 따라 어떠한 특성을 가지는지 분석하고 효과적인 만보기 어플리케이션 구축 방법을 제안한다.

The purification of the MeOH extracts from the aerial parts of Aceriphyllum rossii Engler (Saxifragaceae) using column chromatography furnished fourteen compounds (1 - 14). The chemical structures of the isolated compounds were determined using mainly nuclear magnetic resonance spectra and mass spectrometry. All the isolated compounds were tested for their cytotoxic activity against LH-60, MCF-7 and HeLa cancer cells in vitro using a MTT assay method. Compounds possessing an olean-triterpenoid skeleton entirely exhibit dose dependent cytotoxic activity. These findings partially confirmed the anticancer effect of this medicinal plant, suggesting a further study on the anticancer potential of the triterpenoid structure in compounds from this plant.

Five known compounds, cimigenol (1), 25-O-acetylcimigenol (2), cimigenol 3-O-${\beta}$-D-xylopyranoside (3), ferulic acid methyl ester (4), and visnagin (5), were isolated from Cimicifugae Rhizoma (Ranunculaceae). The chemical structures of these compounds were determined on the basis of spectroscopic analyses including 2D NMR. Compounds 1 - 5 were evaluated for their cytotoxic activity against the HL-60, MCF-7, and A549 cancer cell lines in in vitro. Among them, compounds 4 and 5 showed moderate inhibitory activity against HL-60 cancer cell lines with $IC_{50}$ values of 24.8 and 18.1 ${\mu}M$, respectively.
