Linearizing and Control of a Three-phase Photovoltaic System with Feedback Method and Intelligent Control in State-Space

  • Due to the nonlinearity and complexity of the three-phase photovoltaic inverter, we propose an intelligent control based on fuzzy logic and the classical proportional-integral-derivative. The feedback linearization method is applied to cancel the nonlinearities, and transform the dynamic system into a simple and linear subsystem. The system is transformed from abc frame to dq0 synchronous frame, to simplify the state feedback linearization law, and make the close-loop dynamics in the equivalent linear model. The controls improve the dynamic response, efficiency and stability of the three-phase photovoltaic grid system, under variable temperature, solar intensity, and load. The intelligent control of the nonlinear characteristic of the photovoltaic automatically varies the coefficients $K_p$, $K_i$, and $K_d$ under variable temperature and irradiation, and eliminates the oscillation. The simulation results show the advantages of the proposed intelligent control in terms of the correctness, stability, and maintenance of its response, which from many aspects is better than that of the PID controller.

  • In spite of nonlinear or step-changing load and line disturbances, the inverter for the UPS must provide the pure sinusoidal output voltage with low THD(Total Harmonics Distortion). This paper proposes an inverter controller for the UPS which has a good dynamic response characteristic and robustness for applying industrial world directly. The inverter output voltage is controlled instantaneously with a double regulation loop by a TMS320C31 Digital Signal Processor so that it has very good dynamic response for nonlinear or step-changing load and line disturbances. To improve the voltage utilization and response characteristics, the Space Vector Modulation(SVM) technique is adapted for the switching method of this system. The characteristics of the proposed control system were verified by simulations and experiments.

  • Photovoltaic systems normally use a maximum power point tracking (MPPT) technique to continuously deliver the highest possible power to the load when variations in the insolation and temperature occur. A simple method of tracking the maximum power points (MPPs) and forcing the boost converter system to operate close to these points is presented through deriving small-signal model and transfer function of boost converter. This paper aims at modeling boost converter including equivalent series resistance of input reservoir capacitor by state-space-averaging method. In the future, properly designed controller for compensation will be constructed for maximum photovoltaic power tracking control.

3핑거 핸드 시스템 설계 (Design of Three-Finger Hand System)

  • The focus of this paper is the designing a flexible three fingered hand system with 16 D.O.F for dynamic manipulation with an intelligent controller, and to build a useful database for dynamic manipulation based on the experimental results. The weight of the hand module is only 0.7 kg, but flexible motion and powerful grasping are possible. To achieve such a dynamic motion in a robotic hand, we have developed a flexible fingered hand with a control system incorporating image recognition system in which we deal with the problems of not only accuracy and range of motion but also the flexibility of hand. The fingers are arranged so as to grasp both circular and prismatic objects. In order to achieve the light mechanism, we reduced the number of joints and fingers as much as possible. We used three fingers, which is the minimum number to achieve a stable grasp.

  • 본 연구에서는 3상 RCD(Random Pulse Centered Displacement) PWM기법에 비하여 구현이 용이하고 스위칭 주파수의 정수배 스펙트럼의 광대역화와 선형화의 효과가 우수한, 2상 RCD-PWM을 제안하였으며, 그 파워 스펙트럼을 비교하고 있다 종전의 3상 RCD-PWM과 제안된 2상 RCD-PWM을 구현하기 위하여, 16비트 고성능 마이크로 컨트롤러 SAB-Cl67이 사용되었다 SAB-C167에 의하여 각 변조 구간에서의 듀티비를 구한 후, 선형 랜덤 발생기를 이용하여 균일한 확률 분포로 각 상의 펄스의 위치를 재배치하였다. 제안된 2상 RCD-PWM에 의한 모터전압과 전류 그리고 직류링크 전류의 파워 스펙트럼 및 모터의 가청 스위칭 소음 효과를 종전의 3상 RCD-PWM과 비교 검토하였다

능동소음제어를 위한 Adjoint-LMS 알고리즘의 강인성 개선 (A Robustness Improvement of Adjoint-LMS Algorithms for Active Noise Control)

  • Noise problem that occurs in living environment is a big trouble in the economic, social and environmental aspects. In this paper, the filtered-X LMS algorithms, the adjoint LMS algorithms, and the robust adjoint LMS algorithms will be introduced for applications in active noise control(ANC). The filtered-X LMS algorithms is currently the most popular method for adapting a filter when the filter exits a transfer function in the error path. The adjoint LMS algorithms, that prefilter the error signals instead of divided reference signals in frequency band, is also used for adaptive filter algorithms to reduce the computational burden of multi-channel ANC systems such as the 3D space. To improve performance of the adjoint LMS ANC system, an off-line measured transfer function is connected parallel to the LMS filter. This parallel-fixed filter acts as a noise controller only when the LMS filter is abnormal condition. The superior performance of the proposed system was compared through simulation with the adjoint LMS ANC system when the adaptive filter is in normal and abnormal condition.

Simscape 기반 6자유도 필드로봇 시뮬레이션 모델에 관한 연구 (A Study on Simscape based 6DOF Field Robot Simulation Model)

  • Field robots operate in various areas, including construction, agriculture, forestry and manufacturing. Typical tasks of field robots used in various areas include excavation, flattening, and demolition. Such tasks are often accomplished in narrow alleys or indoors. In the case of field robots, there is a limit to working in a small space. Thus, to compensate for these shortcomings, many field robots equipped with Tiltrotators have recently been observed. The advantages of Tiltrotator are improved task efficiency and reduced operating time by reducing unnecessary behavior. We need simulation models that can improve the ability of new people to work and simulate tasks in advance. Thus, in this paper, we developed a simscape-based simulation model and modeling of 6DOF systems for field robots equipped with Tiltrotator. Dynamic modeling of field robot 3D models using Simcape multibody and hydraulic systems of field robots using Simcape Hydraulics were modeled. We applied a PID controller to create a control system that operates along the input angle. Simulation results show that errors occur when comparing input and output angles, but overall, they move along input angles.

PWM 인버터의 출력전압 향상을 위한 과변조 기법 (A New Overmodulation Strategy for PWM Inverter)

  • 본 논문은 공간전압벡터 PMW 인버터에서 전압벡터로 구성된 육각형 내부의 전압영역을 충분히 이용함으로써 보다 많은 출력 전압을 얻을 수 있도록 하는 새로운 과변조 기법을 제안한다. 제안된 과변조 기법은 벡터제어에 적용할 수 있어, 높은 전압이 요구 되는 운전 영역에서 벡터제어 전동기 구동시스템의 출력 토크능력을 향상시킬수 있다. 제안된 기법에서는 벡터 제어시 요구되는 특성인 자속의 제어\ulcorner역을 과변조 운전영역에서도 유지하도록 자속성분 전류를 우선적으로 제어하고, 그 대신 토크 성분 전류는 약간 희생하도록 하여, 과변조 운전영역에서도 벡터제어가 잘 수행되도록 하였다. 이를 위해, 과변조시 자속을 제어하는 전류제어기의 d축 출력전압은 제안없이 보존하는 반면, 토크를 제어하는 전류제어기의 q축 출력전압은 지령 전압벡터가 육각형 변위에 위치하도록 제한한다. 22[kW] 유도전동기 구동시스템에 대한 시뮬레이션 및 실험을 통해 제안된 기법의 타당성을 검증하였다.

RDS(Robotic Drilling System) 구축을 위한 전용 End-Effector Prototype 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Development of a Specialized Prototype End-Effector for RDSs(Robotic Drilling Systems))

  • Robotic Drilling Systems(RDSs) set the standard for the factory automation systems in aerospace manufacturing. With the benefits of cost effective drilling and predictive maintenance, RDSs can provide greater flexibility in the manufacturing process. The system can be easily adopted to manage very complex and time-consuming processes, such as automated fastening hole drilling processes of large aircraft sections, where it would be difficult accomplished by workers following teaching or conventional guided methods. However, in order to build an RDS based on a CAD model, the precise calibration of the Tool Center Point(TCP) must be performed in order to define the relationships between the fastening-hole target and the End Effector(EEF). Based on the kinematics principle, the robot manipulator requires a new method to correct the 3D errors between the CAD model of the reference coordinate system and the actual measurements. The system can be called as a successful system if following conditions can be met; a. seamless integration of the industrial robot controller and the IO Level communication, b. performing pre-defined drilling procedures automatically. This study focuses on implementing a new technology called iGPS into the fastening-hole-drilling process, which is a critical process in aircraft manufacturing. The proposed system exhibits better than 100-micron 3D accuracy under the predefined working space. Based on the proposed EEF fastening-hole machining process, the corresponding processes and programs are developed, and its feasibility is studied.

차량 실내공간의 가속 시 엔진음 음질 향상을 위한 실시간 능동음향증강 제어 구현 (Implementation of Active Sound Enrichment Control for Improving Engine Sound Quality Inside the Cabin of a Passenger Car)

  • In this study, a concept of active sound enrichment (ASE) control system was implemented and demonstrated for improving engine sound quality inside the cabin of a passenger car during acceleration. Unlike the active noise control cancels the noise for disturbance rejection, the ASE adds additional sound to the noise for tracking control. This approach requires a new algorithm to provide additional artificial sound to the original engine sound using active control strategy to achieve a target sound profile, which is predefined to satisfy required interior sound quality. The ASE algorithm was implemented in a digital controller dSPACE DS1401 and real-time control experiment was accomplished in an actual car. The ASE control results show that the actively enriched sound of each engine order against RPM tracks the target profiles precisely and quickly and improves the discontinuity, the level ratios and the sound pressure level of each engine order. Thus it is anticipated the ASE system can be applied for the improvement of the engine sound quality inside the cabin during acceleration.
