어류 체장의 자동 식별을 위한 어종별, 체장별 및 주파수별 음향 반사 강도의 데이터 뱅크 구축 (Construction of a Data Bank for Acoustic Target Strength with Fish Species, Length and Acoustic Frequency for Measuring Fish Size Distribution)

  • A prerequisite for deriving the abundance estimates from acoustic surveys for commercially important fish species is the identification of target strength measurements for selected fish species. In relation to these needs, the goal of this study was to construct a data bank for converting the acoustic measurements of target strength to biological estimates of fish length and to simultaneously obtain the target strength-fish length relationship. Laboratory measurements of target strength on 15 commercially important fish species were carried out at five frequencies of 50, 70, 75, 120 and 200 kHz by single and split beam methods under the controlled conditions of the fresh and the sea water tanks with the 389 samples of dead and live fishes. The target strength pattern on individual fish of each species was measured as a function of tilt angle, ranging from $-45^{\circ}$ (head down aspect) to $+45^{\circ}$ (head up aspect) in $0.2^{\circ}$ intervals, and the averaged target strength was estimated by assuming the tilt angle distribution as N $(-5.0^{\circ},\;15.0^{\circ})$. The TS to fish length relationship for each species was independently derived by a least-squares fitting procedure. Also, a linear regression analysis for all species was performed to reduce the data to a set of empirical equations showing the variation of target strength to a fish length, wavelength and fish species. For four of the frequencies (50, 75, 120 and 200 kHz), an empirical model for fish target strength (TS, dB) averaged over the dorsal sapect of 602 fishes of 10 species and which spans the fish length (L, m) to wavelength (\Lambda,\;m)$ ratio between 5 and 73 was derived: $TS=19.44\;Log(L)+0.56\;Log(\Lambda)-30.9,\;(r^2=0.53)$.

  • As a part of the KIAPS Observation Processing System (KOPS), we have developed the modules of satellite radiance data pre-processing and quality control, which include observation operators to interpolate model state variables into radiances in observation space. AMSU-A (Advanced Microwave Sounding Unit-A) level-1d radiance data have been extracted using the BUFR (Binary Universal Form for the Representation of meteorological data) decoder and a first guess has been calculated with RTTOV (Radiative Transfer for TIROS Operational Vertical Sounder) version 10.2. For initial quality checks, the pixels contaminated by large amounts of cloud liquid water, heavy precipitation, and sea ice have been removed. Channels for assimilation, rejection, or monitoring have been respectively selected for different surface types since the errors from the skin temperature are caused by inaccurate surface emissivity. Correcting the bias caused by errors in the instruments and radiative transfer model is crucial in radiance data pre-processing. We have developed bias correction modules in two steps based on 30-day innovation statistics (observed radiance minus background; O-B). The scan bias correction has been calculated individually for each channel, satellite, and scan position. Then a multiple linear regression of the scan-bias-corrected innovations with several predictors has been employed to correct the airmass bias.

임베디드 연산을 위한 잡음에서 음성추출 U-Net 설계 (Design of Speech Enhancement U-Net for Embedded Computing)

  • In this paper, we propose wav-U-Net to improve speech enhancement in heavy noisy environments, and it has implemented three principal techniques. First, as input data, we use 128 modified Mel-scale filter banks which can reduce computational burden instead of 512 frequency bins. Mel-scale aims to mimic the non-linear human ear perception of sound by being more discriminative at lower frequencies and less discriminative at higher frequencies. Therefore, Mel-scale is the suitable feature considering both performance and computing power because our proposed network focuses on speech signals. Second, we add a simple ResNet as pre-processing that helps our proposed network make estimated speech signals clear and suppress high-frequency noises. Finally, the proposed U-Net model shows significant performance regardless of the kinds of noise. Especially, despite using a single channel, we confirmed that it can well deal with non-stationary noises whose frequency properties are dynamically changed, and it is possible to estimate speech signals from noisy speech signals even in extremely noisy environments where noises are much lauder than speech (less than SNR 0dB). The performance on our proposed wav-U-Net was improved by about 200% on SDR and 460% on NSDR compared to the conventional Jansson's wav-U-Net. Also, it was confirmed that the processing time of out wav-U-Net with 128 modified Mel-scale filter banks was about 2.7 times faster than the common wav-U-Net with 512 frequency bins as input values.

  • 4'-Aminobenzo-15-crown-5를 수식한 새로운 $K^{+}-ISFET$를 제조하고 그 감응특성을 조사하였다. $K^{+}-ISFET$의 pH에 대한 감응기울기는 30.0 mV/decade였으며, 감응시간은 3분 이상이었다. 또 $K^{+}-ISFET$$K^{+}$에 대한 감응기울기와 감응시간은 각각 $19.5{\pm}0.2{\;}mV/decade$와 약 3분이었다. $K^{+}$에 대한 이 센서의 직선감응범위는 $2.0{\times}10^{-4}{\sim}1.0{\times}10^{-2}M$이었다. 알칼리금속과 알칼리토금속 이온들에 대한 $K^{+}-ISFET$의 선택계수도 구하였다. 나트륨, 암모늄 및 칼슘이온 등이 비교적 크게 방해하였다. 이 센서의 장기안정도는 매우 개선되었으며, 약 50일 이상동안 사용할 수 있었다.

치과용 모형재 색상에 따른 디지털 모형의 체적 안정성 연구 (The study on the dimensional stability of digitized dental stone replicas according to difference color of gypsum materials)

  • Purpose: The aim of study was to compare the dimensional stability of digitized dental stone replica using different color of gypsum materials using a white light scanner with three-dimensional software. Methods: A master model(500B-1, Nissin dental product, Japan) with the prepared lower full arch tooth was used. Several type IV stones(white, yellow, green) were used for 30 stone casts(10 casts each) duplicated a master model of mandible. The master model and the replicas were digitized with the non-contacting white light scanner to create 3-dimensional digital models. The linear distance between the reference points were measured and analyzed on the Delcam Copycad$^{(R)}$(Delcam plc, UK) 3D graphic software. One-way analysis of variance(ANOVA) combined with a Tukey multiple-range test were used to analysis the data(${\alpha}$=0.05). Results: There were considerable differences in mean values between gypsum materials within each color(white, yellow, green), and this difference was statistically significant, p=0.001. Conclusion: Digitization of dental materials on optical scanner was affected by color. Three different color of gypsum materials showed clinically acceptable accuracies of full arch digital model produced by them. Besides, these results will have to be confirmed in further clinical studies.

  • 규회석 분말을 시용하는 경우와 시용하지 않는 경우에 가을배추(삼진)에 대한 칼리비료와 요소, 질산 암모니아의 병, 단용효과를 밝히고자 삼각사양토에서 실시한 시험결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 규회석 분말의 사용은 배추재배를 비교적 용이하게 하였다. 이 조건하에서 배추에 대한 요소와 질산 암모니아의 효과는 차이가 없었다. 2. 규회석 분말을 사용하지 않는 토양에서는 요소보다 질산 암모니아가 배추를 증수하게 하였으며 그 효과는 더 많은 토양칼리을 이용하게 한데 기인하였다. 3. 칼리의 병용은 배추의 수량을 높일 뿐만 아니라 가식부의 생산비를 높였으며 그 효과는 특히 규회석분말을 쓰지 않는 토양에서 컸다. 4. 칼륨은 배추의 외엽에서 내엽으로 쉽게 이동했으며, K원으로서 외엽의 그 함량이 배추의 수량을 지배해서 건조 외엽의 함량 20me/100g 이하에서는 배추의 생체중이 직선적으로 감소하였다.

한국 연근해에서 어획된 주요 12어종의 75 kHz에 대한 음향 반사 강도의 체장 의존성 (Fish length dependence of acoustic target strength for 12 dominant fish species caught in the Korean waters at 75 kHz)

The target strength pattern on individual fish of each species was measured as a function of tilt angle, ranging from $-45^{\circ}$ (head down aspect) to $45^{\circ}$ (head up aspect) in $0.2^{\circ}$ intervals, and the averaged target strength was estimated by assuming the tilt angle distribution as N ($-5.0^{\circ}$, $^15.0{\circ}$). The 75 to fish length relationship for each species was independently derived by a least - squares fitting procedure. Also, a linear regression analysis for all species was performed to reduce the data to a set of empirical equations showing the variation of target strength to fish length and fish species. An empirical model for fish target strength(TS, dB) averaged over the dorsal aspect of 158 fishes of 7 species and which spans the fish length(L, m) to wavelength(${\lambda}$, m) ratio between 6.2 and 21.3 was derived: TS: 27.03 Log(L)-7.7Log(${\kanbda}$)-17.21, ($r^2$=0.59).

시료 희석 직접 주입 LC-MS/MS를 이용한 법화학 수용액 시료 중 카페인 신속 분석 (Rapid Determination of Caffeine in Forensic Aqueous Sample by Dilute and Shoot LC-MS/MS)

  • A liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) method was developed and validated for the determination of caffeine in forensic aqueous sample. The centrifuged sample ($100{\mu}l$) was diluted 50-fold with distilled water. The diluted sample ($400{\mu}l$) was then diluted further with $200{\mu}l$ of 0.1% formic acid solution and $400{\mu}l$ of acetonitrile containing 500 ng of caffeine-(3-methyl-$^{13}C_3$) prior to LC-MS/MS analysis. The mobile phase was composed of 0.1% formic acid in distilled water (A) and acetonitrile (B). Chromatographic separation was performed by using a Zorbax SB-C18 ($100mm{\times}2.1mm$ i.d., $3.5{\mu}m$) column and caffeine was eluted within 1.1 min. Linear least-squares regression with a 1/x weighting factor was used to generate a calibration curve with the coefficients of determination ($r^2=0.9983$). The lower limit of quantification was $25ng/ml$ for the analyte. The process efficiency was 98.6~100.1%. Intra- and inter-day precisions were not more than 2.1% and 1.7%, while intra- and inter-day accuracies were ranged from -6.8 to 4.5%, respectively. The suitability of the method was examined by analyzing unknown forensic aqueous samples.

  • This study is to analyze the kinematic variables of inward $1{\frac{1}{2}}$ somersault in platform diver. For the manner, 3 people form the national diving team in the year 2000were chosen as the subjects and two S-VHS video cameras set in 60frames/sec were used for recording their motions. Coordinated raw positions data through digitizing are smoothing by butter-worth's low-pass filterin method at a cut off frequency 6.0Hz. and the direct linear transformation(DLT) method was employed to obtain 3-D position coordinates. The conclusions were as follows. However, horizontal distance which is the change of the COG, form the point of the jump to the point of Event 3 where the player is out of the board range completely, Subject B showed 105.1cm and 71.1cm of the vertical distance which are shorter horizontal distance and higher vertical distance, thus, took a great advantage of the position to prepare for the entry. Therefore, if a player takes higher position by speeding up the vertical velocity at the moment of the jumping off the board, and stays in the air longer, the player can have more time to show his skill. Because of the use of the characteristics of the inward somersault, keeping the safe distance form the board is important but in order to higher the completeness, it is ideal to keep the horizontal distance little over 100cm. Also, the angles of shoulder and elbow from Event 1 to 4, depending on swing of the arms, motions in the air, getting ready for the entry, showed some difference individual by individual, according to the velocity of the thigh and shank showed much difference while getting ready and take-off, and it's because of the individual's different bending and straightening for horizontal and vertical distance.

Multi-Secondary Transformer: A Modeling Technique for Simulation - II

  • Power Transformers with more than one secondary winding are not uncommon in industrial applications. But new classes of applications where very large number of independent secondaries are used are becoming popular in controlled converters for medium and high voltage applications. Cascade H-bridge medium voltage drives and Pulse Step Modulation (PSM) based high voltage power supplies are such applications. Regulated high voltage power supplies (Fig. 1) with 35-100 kV, 5-10 MW output range with very fast dynamics (${\mu}S$ order) uses such transformers. Such power supplies are widely used in fusion research. Here series connection of isolated voltage sources with conventional switching semiconductor devices is achieved by large number of separate transformers or by single unit of multi-secondary transformer. Naturally, a transformer having numbers of secondary windings (~40) on single core is the preferred solution due to space and cost considerations. For design and simulation analysis of such a power supply, the model of a multi-secondary transformer poses special problem to any circuit analysis software as many simulation softwares provide transformer models with limited number (3-6) of secondary windings. Multi-Secondary transformer models with 3 different schemes are available. A comparison of test results from a practical Multi-secondary transformer with a simulation model using magnetic component is found to describe the behavior closer to observed test results. Earlier models assumed magnetising inductance in a linear loss less core model although in actual it is saturable core made-up of CRGO steel laminations. This article discusses a more detailed representation of flux coupled magnetic model with saturable core properties to simulate actual transformers very close to its observed parameters in test and actual usage.
